"C'mon Moons," the teen whined, "tonight might be our last chance to party as free men," he said before laying back on Remus' bed.

The werewolf just managed to pull the notes out from under him before he crushed them. "This is also our last chance to study before our final exams," he tried to warn the male but Sirius just waved him off.

"I'll pull an all nighter and just cram until class, easy peasy," he said as he stretched, "besides, we need to have some fun too, you've been doing nothing but studying for the last week."

"Maybe that's because I actually want to pass." He said as he looked through his books. "I missed a lot thanks to the full moon this semester, I need to catch up."

Sirius pulled the younger male down and Remus gasped in surprise. "Exactly! You've always missed a lot of class and still managed to get top marks."

Remus smiled a little. "You think you're so clever, don't you?" He pecked his lips quickly before standing up, "but I'm no changing my mind, I'll be in the Library if you decide to join me." He said as he shoved his notes in his bag and left.

When he returned jus after cures Sirius was nowhere to be found, the rest of the boys helped each other study until they all got tired and fell asleep.

It was around 3 in the morning when Remus woke to the door opening, having fallen asleep on his notes.

He was about to drift off again when someone sat on his bed. He sat up and rubbed his eyes before sighing as he saw the dark hair. "I thought you were going to study," he said as he cleaned of the bed with a wave of his wand.

Sirius laid down with his head in the males lap. "I will, just need a small nap," he mumbled.

Remus smiled slightly and stroked his hair, "yeah sure, I've heard that one before," he said as he leaned against his headboard and yawned.

They quickly fell asleep like that and neither woke until the sun was already high.

Blinking at the light Remus took a minute to remember what day it was before looking at his watch. He swore under his breath wand jumped up before hurrying to find his things.

"Wake up, were going to be late," he tolled Sirius as he tossed him some robes before pulling on his own and gathering his quills.

Sirius groaned as he started to wake up. "What the hell are you going on about so early in the morning," he pulled a pillow over his head.

Remus rolled his eyes and lifted up the pillow, "we slept in, our first exam is in 20 minutes." He ran his fingers through his hair to at least try to tame his bed head as Sirius jumped up and started getting ready.

"Why didn't you just say so?" Sirius was trying to get dressed and gather his things at the same time so Remus helped him.

"Why did I even start dating you in the first place?" He asked as he packed the males bag.

"Because you like bad boys," he grinned in response.

Remus smiled. "Is this the same bad boy that always bothers me for belly rubs?" He teased as he shove the bag into the others arms before asking off towards their fist class.

"Hey! Thats not fair! Everyone loves belly rubs," he called after him as he followed.

Remus arrived to class out of breath but on time and even had a few minutes to get himself prepared after he took his seat.

Sirius on the other hand strolled in almost ten minutes later as he took a bite of toast.

"What do you think you are doing Mr. Black?" Professor McGonagall said as he went to sit down.

"Taking my exam," he replied before swallowing.

"Not today you aren't, you can take it Saturday during your detention." She told him.

"But I still have plenty of time," he protested, "and wha detention, school will be over."

"You know the rules, get here on time if you want to take it during class." She said before putting him in a seat away from the others, "just feel lucky I'm letting you take it at all."

Sirius only made it on one to the rest of his exams because he stuck by his friends and by the time Friday arrived he seemed to have completely forgotten about the test.

"I can't believe we're finally done," Sirius said as he sat down an made his notes fly into the fire place.

"All of the 7th years are going to Hogsmede tomorrow to to celebrate," James told hem as he sat with Lilly.

Sirius grinned, "Yeah! How about it Moony? One more date before we have to face the real world?"

Remus didn't look up from his book. "That sounds nice and all but I think someone has a test tomorrow."

Sirius slapped his forehead with his palm. "Fuck, I completely forgot." He sighed before standing up. "I guess I should at least study a little for that."

Sirius had gone upstairs but when Remus went to join him an hour later he was fast asleep, his book open to the first page. He sighed and covered the male up.

The next morning after breakfast Sirius walked with them to the doors, pouting the whole way. "I suppose you're going too?" He asked Remus.

"Of course, I'm going on a double date without my boyfriend to spend money I on't have," he said sarcastically, "idiot, I'll be outside reading in the shade until you finish."

Sirius smiled a little at this and watched his friends leave as they wished him luck. His ace fell as he remembered what he had to do now and he dragged his feet all thee way to the room, being immediately handed his test when he arrived.

Figuring that the detention would last a while anyways he lol his time with the test and handed it back shortly before noon.

Professor McGonagall smiled a little, "all done Mr. Black? You may go then," she said as she started to gather her things.

He was a little surprised at being let go so soon but quickly left before she could change her mind, going to look for Remus on the grounds.

He found his boyfriend and smiled, sitting with him before forcing his way from Uber he males book as he kissed him.

Remus chuckled and put the book aside, "hey there, how did it go?" He asked, draping his arms around the males neck.

"It wasn't terrible I suppose, but I much prefer it out here," he said as he relaxed against the werewolf chest.

They sat like that until the others returned and James soon joined them with Lily. They spent the afternoon laughing and reminiscing, just wanting to enjoy this time together before they would all be joining the war.

Remus frowned as he finally returned home and thought back on what had probably been the last great day for all of them. 'How long ago was that?' He asked himself, '3? No… maybe it was 5 years," he sighed, unsure when the days started to blend together.

Remus walked through the familiar streets as he clutched a tattered paper in his hand, having had to hear the news from it instead of being told.

When he saw the ruins of the house his eyes grew wide as they brimmed with tears, "no…" he pleaded in a soft whisper as the paper slipped from his grasp, landing in a puddle as he started to run before disapparating, reappearing at the edge of a crater that filled the street.

It was raining here and he was soaked in seconds but Remus didn't seem to notice as he fell to his knees. "You thought you were so clever, didn't you…" he gave a hollow, emotionless laugh as he stared up at the sky. "We all did back then but what does that matter now."

After the death of his parents his friends had helped him so much and he thought that he would be able to count on them but as he knelt on the wet concrete he buried his face in his hands, slowly realizing that for the first time he was truly alone.
