Disclaimer: I do not own the Fate Series or Kamen Rider as they belong to their rightful owners.

I have to let you know about replacing Aruto with Kanata and his origins being exactly with Aruto with minor changes to please roll with it. I know there would be scenes in my stories that would probably plot holes and mistakes but for now, roll with it. I created this story for Zero-One to be in 1945. Setting-wise, this takes place after the stage show but before the movie. Also, when it comes to Magecraft in Type-Moon is pretty low so prepare for cringes. Well, I hope you enjoy the first chapter.

It was another day in Japan and right inside Hiden Intelligence, a certain CEO was sleeping with a light novel on his desk.

"Kanata-sama?" A voice wakes him up.

The 23-year-old CEO known as Hiden Kanata wakes up to see his Humagear secretary Izu standing there in front of him.

"Izu, what is it?" Kanata asked.

"I've been informed that an estate belonging to a Fujimiya Tsukumo has been liquidated," Izu responded.

"Fujimiya Tsukumo… that's Obaa-san!" Kanata exclaimed.

"Wouldn't she be Hiden Tsukumo?" Izu asked.

"I think she wanted to keep the family name…" Kanata muttered. "But either way, what's happening to her house?"

"Her house is being liquidated, and have asked us to remove any stuff you don't want to lose," Izu explained.

"Yeah, sure. Let's do that." Kanata nodded, ready to head out.

"Why were you sleeping?" Izu asked.

"I must've fallen asleep reading the light novel I bought." Kanata placed the book in his back pocket.

"What is it about?"

"Something about supernatural characters fighting in Tokyo." And with that, they left his office.

~/~

After being off by the taxi, Kanata and Izu were waiting outside the estate. And right now Kanata was on his Risephone talking to VP Jun Fukuzoe.

"Don't worry, I'm handling family business and will come back before the meeting," Kanata reassures him.

"Well you better handle it quickly, this meeting will be important," Jun says. "I can't believe that place is finally being sold, your grandfather brought me there once and it gave me the creeps. I felt like that place was haunted." Kanata can hear him shuttered. "But either way don't take too long!"

"Oh, Fukuzoe-san, don't worry I'll be here hanging out with my ghoul friends," Kanata smirked. "Hai! Kanta Ja... Naito!" Kanta pointed at the sky.

There was no response coming from the other end of his Risephone.

"Hello? Fukuzoe-san?" Kanata looks at his phone to see the call has ended. "Oh… he hanged up."

"Did he not understand the joke?" Izu asked.

Kanata just shook his head. "No, I think he didn't find it funny." He slumped for a second before straightening back up. "Alright! Let's see what we got!" Both CEO and Secretary enter the Estate.

As they entered they can tell this place has not been taken care of for quite some time.

"Has Jii-san been paying for this house?" Kanata asked.

"Yes, Kourenosuke-sama has been paying for this home to stay in his name," Izu answered. "Kanata-kaichō, have you been here before?

"I guess a couple of times, I'd never really had a relationship with Obaa-san," Kanata explained. "She mostly stayed isolated in this house and in front of her desk. She didn't like Tou-san either."

"The Humagear that was the model of your biological father?"

"Yeah," Kanata rubbed the back of his head. "I guess she didn't like Humageard taking the appearance of her son." Kanata sighs. "She's kinda strange as well."

"Strange how?" Izu asked them to make their way to her office.

"The two times I'd visit she kept telling me about Magecraft." Kanata looks around her office.

Izu tilts her head. "Magic?"

"Yeah, I don't know. As I said, 'strange'."

"Hello!" A voice came from outside.

"Oh, it must be the movers," Izu says. "I'll bring them up, Kanata-sama." Izu walks out of the office and to the movers.

Kanata looks around till something catches his attention while searching through her bookshelf, an odd design hourglass. It looks like a normal hourglass but the sand was clogged up and there were crystals in them.

*Ring* *Ring*

Kanata sees it as the Vice-President again. He was going to answer but in the corner of the eye, the hourglass was falling and breaking. In quick reflexes, he caught the glass and placed it on the shelf. Once he turned around he didn't notice it glowing and the sand began to drop.

Izu came back in but by herself.

"Is everything alright, Izu?" Kanata asked.

She muttered something he couldn't understand.

"Izu?"

Then there were shouts coming outside again but it was the same voice of the movers. His phone rings again making him answer it.

"Hello?" Kanata answered.

"Kaichou! Where are you?" Jun questioned.

"Eh? I told you I'm at Obaa-san home." Kanata says.

"Well you better handle it quickly, this meeting will be important," Jun said and began to go on what he said before.

"Fukuzoe-san?" Kanata was getting confused and worried.

Before he could do anything he looked at the sky and saw something that shouldn't be happening.

"Is the sun setting in the east…" That shouldn't be right. It's 2'oclock in the afternoon but that's not the strange part, it's setting and rising over and over again. He looks at the clock and sees the arrows going backward. "Time is going backward…"

He saw it glowing behind him and saw it was the hourglass. He grabbed hold of it but it was frozen and couldn't move it. Only the sand dripping was the only normal thing happening now.

"How is this happening?!" Kanata shouted before pausing. "Don't tell me… is this Magecraft Obaa-san was talking about."

Soon after phantom figures of an old woman in a wheelchair and a young boy could be seen. Kanata knows these figures: it was him and his grandmother. The bookshelf hit Kanata, making let go of the hourglass. He sees himself falling to a ball of energy. With the hourglass out of his reach, his body now frozen, unable to use his Hiden Driver, he has no idea what will happen. He kept falling and falling till all he could see was darkness.

Kanata starts to wake up and hears noises around him. His head felt dizzy but he could hear a train. Was it a dream and he overslept again. He slowly got back and heard someone screaming.

"Get up!" A female voice shouted, making Kanata jolt up.

He looked up to a black-haired girl wearing a black sailor uniform while holding a suitcase standing in front of him and standing in front of her was a large man wearing knight armor.

"Hurry up and evacuate to the rear car." The girl told him. "I'm gonna need to ask you some questions later."

Kanata could only look at them with confusion.

"I don't mind, Lancer." A male voice came from behind the armored knight. "Kill them both." The armored knight nodded.

The girl grabs Kanata by the hand and begins to run away from the scene. She drops some bottles behind them making them explode and realize black smoke.

"Damn monkey," Lancer growled.

As Kanata and the girl made their escape to the other carts.

"They were ready to kill you as well." The girl says. "So I take it you are not with them."

"Uh…" That was all Kanata could say.

"You're a Magus too, right? You appeared out of nowhere just as I was about to be attacked by that servant." She says.

"Magus? I'm confused about what's happening? That's not a Humagear right?" Kanata asked.

The girl gave him a confused face and one that gave him 'what the hell was talking about?

"Humagear? If you're asking if he's human he's not, that's Lancer a Heroic Spirit summoned by Magi… familiars." She started explaining. "If used correctly, they can take down an entire country with them." Then smirks. "With a real one at least."

"Heroic Spirits…" Kanata murmurs.

"There's only one way to take care of them." Kanata sees her setting up some kind of seance.

"What are you doing?" Kanata questions her.

"I'm going to summon a Servant of my own. The strongest one of the seven classes, Saber!" The girl says as she holds up a nice-looking sheath and starts chanting.

Kanata didn't understand what was going on or where he was, but he knew this girl could be his only way out. The one way to help her is to protect her while summoning.

He takes out his Hiden Driver and places it on his waist.

ZERO-ONE DRIVER!

The Driver's announcement distracted her as she looked up to see Kanata wearing a belt of some kind. His summoning circle began to glow making Kanata look at it with awe. He turns away to see Lancer at the other side of the door. He runs to the teen girl and pushes her out of the way as a book falls from his back pocket and falls onto the summoning circle.

"What have you done!" She screamed at Kanata.

"Huh?"

"Why did you have that?" She questioned him.

"Eh, have what?"

"A catalyst!" She screamed at him. "What did you throw in there?!"

Kanata looks at the summoning circle to see his light novel begin to glow.

"Oops, that's my light novel." Kanata was giving her an apologetic look.

There was a huge light between Kanata and the Servant and when it died down there was a girl in her mid-teens who was wearing a Taisho-style Kimono that consisted of a Hakama and long leather boots and was equipped with a katana.

Kanata couldn't believe it… a person was summoned from his light novel. This was different from the time of battling with Zi-O and his gold armor filled with statues, he remembered Zi-O touched the statues on his armor and summoned different Riders to battle the Another Rider.

"But is this girl really a Servant?" Kanata questioned out loud.

The magic girl behind couldn't believe it until she looked down at her hands. She turns to Kanata.

"Hey, show me your hand!" The girl demanded.

"Huh?"

"Show it to me!" The girl grabbed his right hand to see a red mark on it.

"Wahh… that explained the pain on my hand," Kanata commented.

The girl couldn't believe that her summoning was taken from her. She glared at him as she started to scream and berate him.

"Do you have any idea what you just did?! You stole the Saber I was supposed to summon!"

"Sorry, I'm still confused about what's happening!" Kanata says.

The Saber noticed the Servant behind as the latter tried to strike her down but Saber easily dodged the attack.

"Nice reflexes 'Saber'! It wouldn't be fun otherwise!" Lancer commented.

Saber pulled out her katana, jumped into the air, and did a swing at the armored Servant.

"With you, I'm sure I can have a truly splendid battle," Lancer says. "Let me introduce myself! I am one who hosts one of the Heroic Spirits of the Great Third Reich!" Lancer shouted. "One of the Great Krieger… guh!" Lancer started to choke.

Saber landed in front of the Lancer who started to bleed under his helmet.

"How lucky to fight a fool who introduces themselves in the middle of a duel." Saber criticized the dying Lancer.

Saber started to walk towards the Servant as he held his bleeding neck. Saber could tell Lancer was impressed. She took one swing and cut Lancer's head off.

Saber just walked to Kanata as she had blood on her face and hair. Kanata was shocked at what just happened.

"Forgive for my delay. Are you my Master?" Saber asked Kanata.

"Mas… ter…" Kanata looks at his right hand. "I don't get what's going on but I suppose I am."

Saber wipes the blood off her face before grabbing both of Kanata's hands.

"Our contract is complete." Saber gave Kanata a cute smile even with blood on her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Master!"

"A… A pleasure…" Kanata's cheeks turned into a small shade of pink.

"Sorry to ruin your moment, but…" The blacked haired girl was suddenly next to them. "Do you have any idea what this is?"

Saber turns her head to face the mystery girl. "Acquaintance?" Saber asked.

"Actually, I have no idea who she is," Kanata says.

"That's my line! Who are you!" Mystery girl screamed. "You appeared out of nowhere with those strange clothes!" She points at his Driver. "And placed that strange belt that let out a voice as well! You as well stole my Saber, so who are you-mghh!" Saber stops her ranting by covering the mystery girl's mouth.

Saber looks at the entrance behind Lancer's corpse.

"Hm?" A female voice hummed.

A female figure walked into their train's cart.

"What, you notice me, already?" The female figure asked.

"Master, please step back. Unlike the fake from before, this one is a real Servant." Saber instructed her Master.

Kanata got a real good look at this 'Servant' and what he saw was another mid-teen girl wearing a red coat and a black military uniform, clothes that seemed unfit for her but she somehow makes it work.

"That blade… so you're 'Saber'..." The new Servant stepped on Lancer's corpse and stood on it like a pedestal. "You have good eyes." The new Servant told Saber. "Those are the eyes of a killer who feels nothing when piling up corpses."

Saber just glared at the new Servant.

"Yes, this is what a Heroic Spirit should be." The new Servant summoned multiple matchlock rifles. The new Servant gave the group a blood-thirsty grin. "It looks like this Holy Grail War will be enjoyable as well." The new Servant's face became more sadistic as she shouted, "THE WAR HAS BEGUN!"

"We need to hurry!" The mystery girl told Kanata.

"Eh?"

"You can not be dense." The girl scoffed. "Heroic figures who revived and received mana from the Holy Grail. That's what Servants are, it's nothing a human can stand up to. Depending on the guns I have to say the new Servant is an Archer."

Kanata knew she was right, these 'Heroic Spirits' and 'mana' sounds crazy but seeing Lancer and Saber's power he had to believe it.

"I have a question." Kanata started to say. "My name is Hiden Kanata. Where am I? What year is it?"

Saber, the other Servants, their crazy weapons and abilities, if Kanata was correct then this place could be…

The girl gave him a confused look.

"What year? Did you hit your head that hard? It's the twentieth year of the Showa Era. We're in the Imperial Capital in the middle of war times." The girl answered.

Kanata's eyes widened and screamed inside his head. The light novel he read was all real! Somebody must've written these true events knowing that people would it was during war times for all those destructions.

"I've time travel again…"

Kanata couldn't believe it but he believed this if that girl with guns had the look of not caring who gets caught in the crossfire and he can't let Saber fight alone.

"Hey what's wrong Saber? Can't make a move?" Archer laughed. "QUITE LAUGHABLE FOR THE STRONGEST SERVANT!"

"You two take cover by the door!" Saber told them as she blocked bullets.

Bullets were fired behind Archer but were blocked by a rifle.

"..." Archer just stares at the German man. "I let you live with the intention of info from you later but you seem eager to throw your life away."

"Dammit! It wasn't supposed to be this way!" The German man shouted. "You monkeys! You can act strong all you want! But in the end, the ones who will claim this world will be the Third Reich!"

As the German man finished his rant he was shot in the face by Archer using one of her rifles herself.

Kanata was shocked to see this. He never really witnessed a brutal human death before. He saw humans die from that alternate timeline but Archer had little regard for human life.

"You… you just killed him like it was nothing," Kanata says.

"What's with you?" Archer raised a brow at him. "Things like this happen all around the world nowadays." She then smirked. "What a coward. Is that your Master, Saber? You sure do have a lot on your shoulders."

The side of the train began to glow before it was fired upon by the rifles Archer had outside. Kanata would have died but luckily he escaped death's door with the mystery girl pulling on his jacket and out of the rifle line of shot.

"I told you to stay focused!" The mystery girl yelled at him.

"I was almost a goner there!" Kanata cried out.

"It seems you're quite adept at killing and not protecting, huh?" Archer mocked Saber.

"I can protect myself!" Kanata began to stand up.

"What are you doing?!" The mystery girl screamed at him.

"There's a reason I have this." Kanata pointed at his Driver, he then took out his Metal Cluster Progrisekey, he then pressed the key's button.

EVERYONE JUMP!

"Eh? Did that voice come from that thing in your hand?" The girl asked.

He ignores her and scans the key.

AUTHORISE!

Then insert the key into his Zero-One Driver.

PROGRISE! METALRISE!

A swarm of metal grasshoppers flew out of his belt, making Archer fired at these Cluster Cells. It forms a giant grasshopper that scratches before the Cluster Cells swarm around Kanata's body, creating armor.

Secret Material Hiden Metal!

There was a flash of yellow, revealing the new form. Kanata's whole body was covered in silver body armor, silver metal plating with some small neon-yellow circuitry on his upper thighs, upper arms, chest, and helmet. His legs had octagonal rectangle plating, his upper thighs had stylish jagged plating that protected his hips. On his chest were bent polyhedral metal plating and a strong chest-guard armor plate. On his upper and forearms were overlapped diagonal-shaped plate-metals which lead up to spike protrusion shoulder-guards. And finally his helmet, neon-yellow eyes and circuitry for his chin-guard and six differently length helmet spikes; two medium-length ear side spokes, two smaller spikes on the upper middle of his head, and then the longest spikes, which were his antennae.

METALCLUSTER HOPPER! It's High Quality.

"Just who are you?" Tsukumo questioned him.

"Kamen Rider Zero-One!" Kanata then points at Archer. "Omae o tome rareru no wa tada hitori…" Then he points at himself. "Ore da!"

Archer, with her rifles, pointed at them, was shocked by Kanata's transformation before she let out a sadistic grin.

"Now this is interesting," Archer says.

Archer fired her rifles making Zero-One create a shield from his Cluster Cells.

"Oh, you may not be a coward after all." Archer grins.

Zero-One then takes out a weapon of his own.

PROGRISE HOPPER BLADE!

Archer started firing bullets from her rifles, which made Zero-One create shields from his Cluster Cells to protect him, Saber, and the mystery girl.

Zero-One then scanned the Progrise Hopper Blade on the Zero-One Driver.

FINALRISE!

Zero-One generates a swarm of Cluster Cells that forms into metal spikes before swinging the Progrise Hopper Blade, sending them towards Archer.

FINAL STRASH!

Archer had to summon more rifles to fire at all the metal spikes coming towards her. As each bullet hit the metal spikes creating a large explosion between them.

As the dust clears Zero-One and the others could still see the malicious grin Archer was giving.

"Your weapons are interesting but it is no match against all my rifles!" Archer exclaimed.

"Saber, ikuzo!" Kanata says.

"Hai, Master!" Saber nodded.

Zero-One charged at Archer as he blocked the bullets she fired from her multiple matchlock rifles. Zero-One then tried to give Archer a powerful slash but the latter jumped back from his attack. As she jumped back, Zero-One created a platform from his Cluster Cells behind him giving Saber the idea to step on it and jumped up and stab down with her katana stabbing into Archer's right shoulder.

"Gah!" Archer cried out as she felt the sharp pain of a blade go through her shoulder. "I see, it would seem I underestimated the both of you." Archer grabbed hold of the katana's blade. "My rifles have lost their advantage in this distance."

Archer then proceeds to remove the blade from her shoulder by not pulling it out but by cutting through her shoulder leaving a gap between her shoulder. Archer then jumped up and landed on one of her floating rifles.

"Good grief. I came because I wanted to see the Gertkrieger, but I ended up getting myself into this mess." She focused her vision on Zero-One. "And you…" Before she could say anything else her eyes widened.

Saber and Zero-One saw Archer was beginning to fade away.

"Running away, Archer?" Saber tried to bait her.

"Eh? She's leaving?!" Kanta questioned.

"Silence, cur. I will take both of your heads next time, so look forward to it." Archer forewarned her enemies.

And before they know it, Archer has vanished.

"Is it over?" The mystery girl asked.

"Yeah, I think she's gone for now." Kanata says as he de-henshins.

Saber sheathed her sword and called out to Kanata, "Master!" She walked to him. "You took hits from Archer's bullets, are you alright."

"Oh, I'm fine. The Cluster Cells of Metal Cluster are strong enough to go against bullets." Kanata reassured her.

Saber grabbing his face checking to see if he had any injuries, Kanata was getting a bit embarrassed and flustered by being grabbed by a pretty girl. The only females who touched him were nurses and Izu, and they were all Humagears.

"Hey!" The mystery girl grabbing their attention. She flinched when Saber gave her an expressionless stare. "Just what was that armor and belt of yours?! Are you a magus as well?!"

"A magus? No, no, no, no. I am a Kamen Rider and a CEO of a company." Kanata holds up his Zero-One Drive. "This is my Zero-One Driver created by really advanced technology." He explained.

"… So it's not Magecraft or some kind of Mystic Code?" The mystery girl is still looking unsure.

"Yeah, it's true! It's kind of hard to explain…" Kanata says before smiling at her. "I know how to ease tension with one of my jokes!"

"Your jokes…?"

Kanata crossed his arms as he began to tell his joke, "When I henshin into Metal Cluster…" He then separated his arms from each other. "I used to get into a Metal Fluster!" He held his arms down before pointing at the two girls with his right arm. "Hai! Kanata Ja... Naito!"

Both girls stared at him, the Magus could only stare at him with utter confusion while the Servant only gave him an expressionless stare.

"What was that? Was that the joke?" The Magus asked.

"Yeah," Kanata nodded.

"It was horrible." That was all she said.

"Gah!" Kanata felt like he was stabbed in the heart. He turns to Saber who gave him an expressionless stare before giving him a small smile and clapping. "Gah!" She didn't understand it at all!

The mystery girl let out a tired sigh, "Can't believe he became a Master. Ahem!" She cleared her throat, getting Kanata's attention. "I haven't introduced myself yet, my name is Fujimiya Tsukumo! A Magus from the Fujimiya family! I was supposed to be the Master of Saber for this war but you suddenly appeared out of nowhere! So tell me who you are, where you came from, and what's your goal!"

"Eh?" Kanata's eyes widened. "Fujimiya… Tsukumo…"

Then he remembered where that name, a name he hadn't heard from for so long till Izu, and the girl's face, he saw that face when he was clearing out his grandmother's house, he saw it in an old photo. Then that means… that girl is…

"Obaa-san!" Kanata cried out.

Tsukumo stares at him for a second before shouting, "Ehhhhh?!"

~/~

(Flashback)

Kanata remembered a time when he spent time with his grandmother. His Humagear father would do errands that he's been tasked by his grandfather. It was May 5th, 2007 on a Saturday and Kanata was hanging out in his grandma's office. It was four days after his 10th birthday and Tsukumo wanted to see and say happy birthday to her grandson. Right now he was drawing as his grandma was doing "Magecraft", Kanata didn't really believe her and thought she was just doing adult stuff.

"Kanata, what do you want to be to grow up?" Tsukumo suddenly asked.

"Hmm, I want to be a comedian!" Kanata answered.

"A comedian?"

"Hai, I want to make tou-san laugh and to make him happy!" Kanata says cheerfully.

"You know he's a machine, Kanata. He can't truly feel." Tsukumo told her grandson.

"Of course he can, he's so nice so of course he will be happy and I'm to do it," Kanata says confidently.

"..." Tsukumo stayed silent, not wanting to have a heated argument with a ten-year-old about Humagear wearing her son's face.

"What about you, obaa-san?" Kanata asked. "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Tsukumo chuckled a bit, "Oh, baa-san won't be growing up anymore, dear." She started to move her wheelchair to face Kanata. "But I do have a dream."

"A dream?"

"Yes, a big dream." Tsukumo gave her grandson a gentle smile. "I want to have a bright future."

Back in the year 1945, elsewhere a couple was one of a tall building looking at the skyline of the Imperial Capital.

One was a young man in his mid-twenties, with long hair tied back by a blue ribbon. He adorns a white suit with gold buttons and shoulder pads, and a matching hat with a blue band. At his side, he carries a katana and a Smith & Wesson Revolver. He was sitting on a roof of a building reading a newspaper.

The other was a young woman wearing a black and red sailor uniform along with magenta stockings with no shoes. She had a scarf wrapped around her neck. She had long black hair and red blood-like eyes. The crazy thing, she was floating next to the man.

"The country sure has changed." The young woman commented.

"You're right, it's quite different from our time." The young man agreed. "Though that isn't necessarily a good thing." He added.

"What's wrong?" The woman asked.

"Oh, it's nothing." The man waved off her concern as he started to get up. "Well, it's the same thing every time, but it seems like the Grail War will prove to be quite troublesome as well." The man let out an aloof smile.

AN: Did you guys like the story? I read Fate/type Redline and Kanata is in the year 2020 and then I thought of Kamen Rider Zero-One which ended in 2020. So I changed Kanata's origin and made him into Aruto. Why couldn't I just keep Aruto's name, I don't know. There are only 10 chapters up so we'll see how far we go. Also, I try my best to correctly use Aruto's jokes. I like for you guys to give me your thoughts on it.
