BEERUS-SAMA ERASED?

A certain spiky-haired individual who looked to be of about 20 years of age, stood in a peculiar stance with characteristically unique clothing – an alternate-colored neckwear (blue and black) with an orange rhombus in the middle, blue baggy pants, a long extension from his waist up to his knees having three tilted squares, last one of which was orange and some golden ornaments around his wrist and biceps – one, that left his abdominal region uncovered. A little distance away from him stood a taller blue-skinned and white-haired being, dressed in almost the same way as him, only exception, that he was covered completely. The taller one had a long staff along with him, and looked to be in some sort of predicament. He was snapped out of his thoughts by the shorter individual.

"Hey Whis, is something the matter? You looked to be immersed in some deep thinking. Is something bothering you?", the shorter individual asked the taller one, now known to be named Whis.

"Oh... it's nothing My Lord. I apologize for losing focus. Shall we continue?", Whis replied and slowly raised his arms so as to match the stance his lord had earlier.

"I told you many times Whis, just because I am a God of Destruction, doesn't mean you need to call me Lord. You can just call me Goku. Weren't you the one who gave me this name?", Goku replied sighing. He had told Whis many times to stop with the lordship but he just said that it was necessary.

Whis, while still in the stance, began thinking about the time when Goku was brought under his care.

Flashback – 22 years ago

Location: Universe 7 G.O.D. Planet

THIRD POV

"Father asked me to get this Saiyan child to be the next God of Destruction. Let's see where he is headed now.", Whis said as if he was talking to someone, even though there was no one on the planet except him.

Whis took his staff and a holographic image appeared above the staff with a shine. It showed a single space-pod in the endless extent of black background moving towards 877 of 4032, or in layman terms, planet Earth. Inside the space-pod sat a young child, seemingly only a year or so old, with spiky black hair, wearing an armor, which seemed to be a significant reminder of his birthplace, and from the lower back of his abdomen protruded a brown tail - the proof that he was of Saiyan origins. He was sleeping peacefully.

Whis remembered what his father had told him. He said that he was a pure-hearted child, unlike any other beings of his species, and had a lot of potential to become, eventually, the replacement for Lord Beerus, the previous God of Destruction. He teleported right near where the spacecraft was and took it with him to the planet he was earlier on.

A few minutes later, as if the child had known that he was not where he intended to go to, he fluttered open his eyes, and looked around only to find Whis standing in front of him, his eyes directed towards his. The mere glance he got of the taller being in front of him made him cower in fear. The door of the space-pod was already open, so he could feel his surroundings. It was nothing like he had ever experienced, be it even at his young age. It felt different than his birthplace. It felt different than the pod he had been put into. It felt heavenly. The man in front of him also had a strange aura. It was almost like the ones he had felt from the two who put him in the space-pod. It was strangely calming. It put him at ease, and he slowly looked up to see the man's face.

Whis was carefully observing the boy. Even though the child was afraid of him before, he now looked at him with his black orbs rather expectantly, as if he was waiting to be carried around and begin playing the next moment. Just like Lord Beerus, he thought. He slowly walked towards the child and carried him in his arms. The child was a little surprised with this action, but then slowly began resting in his arms. Whis couldn't help but chuckle at how this child reminded him of the times when Beerus himself was a child.

He looked around and took in his surroundings, which consisted of a series of planets, pale blue in color, as far as he can see. Then he looked at the small lake, or rather a pond, which appeared to be completely still. The next thing he saw was a high and long structure. He didn't know what he could describe it as. It was quite peculiar. A strange coiled structure was present at its top, and it had a large entrance door. The planet itself was fairly large and consisted of many trees in the visible extent, which made it seem like it was covered in dark green lush jungle.

Whis noticed the child to have quite a good sense of observation. He observed each and everything he could and formed an image in his mind to register it forever. He thought of asking the name of the child, then remembered that he was only a year old so he may not be able to talk at present. He looked into his staff about the child.

"So you are called Kakarot, huh?", Whis asked the child to which he turned to look at him, rather surprised that he knew his name. Kakarot slowly nodded his head, implying that this was his name. He remembered his father naming him Kakarot recalling a custom of naming the child on some otherworldly eatables(pun-intended). He remembered his mother slightly disappointed, on what he didn't know, but as far as he was considered, he didn't like the name one bit. As if the tall man had understood what he was thinking, he asked him a question.

"Do you like your name?", Whis asked Kakarot who at first opened his mouth in wonder and then immediately shook his head sideways, denying the matter of liking his name.

"Then I would have to give you a new name, hmm?", Whis wondered and Kakarot looked at him expectantly. He obviously couldn't think of a name for himself, so he had to depend on the tall man for his name.

After a few moments of critical thinking, as if he had just thought of the answer to the hardest question in the multiverse, Whis smiled cheerfully and asked, "How about Son Gokū?".

Kakarot didn't know what the name meant, but it had a nice ring to it. To show his appreciation, he jumped from Whis's arm and landed near his face, on the extended side of the robe he had around his shoulders, and then rubbed his cheeks against his, while his tail wiggled around Whis's arm.

Whis smiled at his reaction and with his right arm lightly ruffled his hair. "You like your name, huh? Then from today onwards I shall call you Goku.", Whis said and Goku just smiled in return. He then pointed his finger towards Whis, as if to ask his name.

Whis was quick to catch on, as he almost instantly replied, "My name is Whis, and from today onwards I will take care of you.". Goku heard him and saw closely how his lips moved. Replicating the manner in how he introduced himself, Goku tried to speak for the first time.

"Wh-whis", Goku said, even though he stammered a bit, he still managed to speak. Whis was very surprised to hear Goku speak. It reminded him how Beerus had said his name when he first told him about it. With a smile plastered on his face, he lightly scratched Goku's chin. Indeed, father was correct when he said I will not feel sad or lonely anymore.

Flashback end~

Whis smiled at this memory, which had somehow registered itself again today. He was once again lost in a train of thoughts, and Goku again snapped him out of his trance.

"Whis, you are daydreaming again. You do know that you can tell me anything going in your mind, right?", Goku asked him.

"I know that My Lord. I was just thinking whether it's the right time to tell you or not.", Whis replied. He didn't know if Goku was ready to face the truth.

"About what Whis? You are telling me that there is something you haven't told me ever since I arrived here? Is it about the angels? Is it about the Omni King? Or someone I don't even know about?", Goku asked excitedly. He was ecstatic to know about something he didn't know before.

"It involves the Omni King, but it's not about any of those. It's about ... Lord Beerus, the previous destroyer of Universe 7.", Whis finished, while Goku showed a confused expression.

"Lord Beerus is the one you are talking about? But I think you have already told me about him. Have you forgotten about that? I thought angels had better memory than this.", Goku said to Whis. He remembered Whis telling him about the previous destroyer, who after his tenure ended, resigned from the destroyer job. He didn't know where he presently was, so he could visit and fight him, but he knew that during his era, he was the strongest God of Destruction. This was what had pushed him to become stronger and stronger himself. Whis, as if he had read Goku's mind, began-

"Yes, My Lord, I indeed have told you about him. But what I have said isn't the actual truth. He didn't resign, as the destroyers don't really have a limited tenure for their job.", Whis stated the fact. He didn't really want to talk these things today, but since it has started, he should take all the past memories off his chest.

"Oh, so he didn't resign? Leaving aside the fact that you lied to me, what exactly happened Whis?", Goku asked, now with a serious face. If Whis tried to hide this thing from him from all those past years, then it must be something he didn't want to tell him until now.

"And how is this related with the Omni King? I want to know the full story.", Goku demanded. He couldn't think how the Omni King would be involved in a destroyer's disappearance. Wait, what did he think just now?

Goku's face was one of realization, and at the same time, shocked and horrified. Whis saw this and sighed. Now he would need to replay it all.

"Yes, My Lord, you are correct. The Omni King erased Lord Beerus from existence.", Whis stopped to see Goku's expression. Goku asked him to continue with his story by waving his hand.

"The truth is that Lord Beerus was really lazy, and a dangerously heavy sleeper, despite being the strongest destroyer. The day when you came here was also the day when Lord Beerus was erased.", Whis said and Goku was beyond surprised. Never would he have thought that he came the same day as the erasure of the previous destroyer.

"You want to know the whole incident, right My Lord?", Whis asked and Goku nodded in return.

Whis sighed and then began the story which was neither meant for this day, nor for the listener.

Flashback 22 years ago

Location: UNKNOWN

"One more Destroyer is left My Lord", came a voice from a divine being, who was blue-skinned and had a large shining halo floating atop his white-haired head.

"Who is it Daishinkan?", asked a childish figure with blue and purple-stripped skin, wearing a unique outfit (His regular outfit as seen in the Anime.).

"Hmm, it appears that Universe 7's destroyer is still out there Zeno-sama", the Grand Minister (Priest) said looking into his staff.

"Only U7 is left. Where could he be? Where, where,", the Omni King started looking for the remaining destroyer.

Time-skip to an irritated and angry Zenoh.

Current Location: Universe 12

"Why can't I find him anywhere? This is starting to get boring and irritating", the Omni King said frowning. (I guess the only possible explanation is that he doesn't know how to sense energy.)

"Shall I end the game My Lord?", asked the Grand Priest, worrying about what will happen if this continues on.

"Yes, end this. It's not even that fun.", Zeno-sama said and the orders were to be carried accordingly.

"The destroyers are hereby requested to return to their Universes as the Hide-and-Seek Game has been concluded. The Angels are to report the return of their Destroyers, and won't help them in their return", the Grand Priest said and then opened a hologram of the different Universes and their attendance of the destroyers and angels as well on the same, as the Omni King wanted to visit U7 and ask just where its Destroyer was hiding. (The destroyers here were ordered by the Omni King themselves, so they can't just call their angels, and have themselves teleported back, is what my reasoning is.)

Hours passed by quickly as most of the destroyers had returned, except, of course, the destroyer of U7. All the other destroyers, angels and U7's angel were called upon in the almighty's palace.

Current Location: Omni King's Palace

"So, Beerus hasn't yet returned. Honestly that cat is too lazy to be a destroyer.", a voice came from the bunch of the destroyers present there. This was Quitela, the God of Destruction of Universe 4. Being a yellow mouse-like being himself, he didn't have much of a right to insult another destroyer who looked like a cat, but he did it whatsoever.

"That's about right. Even the chubbiest Champa, though he came back last, he did return, unlike his lazy brother.", another voice chimed in. This was Liquiir, the God of Destruction of Universe 8. A golden-yellow multi-tailed Fox is what he was. He gestured his words towards another Destroyer who-

"Shut it you fox! I am in no way fat. I would look more handsome than you even if I was a little fat.", the purple-cat, Universe 6's God of Destruction, Champa, eagerly interrupted any further insults upon himself. He didn't mind as long as the insults were on his brother and not him.

"Where do you think he would be right now Quitela?", asked Liquiir, completely ignoring Champa. He could care less about that fat cat and his delusions.

"Knowing him, it wouldn't be a surprise if he was sleeping in some Universe.", Quitela said so nonchalantly, not knowing how he was being listened in on by the others present there.

"I don't think what you are doing is right Quitela. You should be more careful of your surroundings. What if someone heard what you said? What if the Omni King himself heard what you said?", another voice chimed in. This was Belmod, the destroyer of Universe 11. Resembling a clown in appearance, he was considered to be quite careful and humble, despite being a destroyer, but sometimes he did show some evilness in him.

"H-Huh? Omni King? Why would he be interested in where Beerus is sleeping?", Champa said, a little shaken, but still not realizing where he was.

"You idiot. Has the fat gone to your head as well? Do you not realize where we are, and why exactly we are here?", Belmod replied, a little annoyed at the fact that Champa was still acting like that, even though he should know by now what could be the consequences if the Omni King hear-

"Did you say he is sleeping?", the Omni King suddenly appeared in front of the destroyers, a small vein throbbing out from his head, as he asked this question.

"A-Ah, Your Majesty, it's not like we know where he is or what is he doing. We were just making fun of him weren't we?", Liquiir hurriedly said and then turned to the other destroyers to ask for their consent.

"Yes, yes, we were just joking among ourselves. We don't know where Beerus could be.", Champa agreed to what Liquiir said, and the other destroyers just nodded. Even though he was telling the truth, the Omni King didn't really believe him. Zeno went near the Grand Priest and asked him to look for Beerus.

"As you wish my lord.", the Grand Priest said before looking into his staff, only to find Beerus, indeed sleeping, in Universe 3. The head angel sighed as he knew what was coming next. He reluctantly informed the King of All about Beerus's whereabouts.

To say that the Omni king was angry would be an understatement. He was furious. Even though it seemed as if a child was throwing a temper tantrum, this child was still someone who could erase reality in mere seconds. The destroyers present were terrified, and so were the angels. The gods tried their best to calm him down, so as to not let another 6 Universes getting destroyed like that time. Even though he didn't exactly calm down, he was rid of his anger enough to give an order. An order which was going to change the original series of events. An order to change the entire timeline.

"Daishinkan", the Omni King said in an unusually calm voice. "Summon Beerus the destroyer to the palace.", he finished and to everyone's surprise, went and sat on his throne without saying anything else. The father of all angels was to carry out any order given to him, so he did what he was told, and brought the sleeping Beerus to the palace. As soon as Beerus arrived, it was like he became aware of his surroundings, and woke up in few moments.

"Huh, this place, ... how did I get here?", the purple cat rubbed his eyes, took a long yawn, and noticed his surroundings more clearly. He could see the other destroyers, the angels and even the Grand Priest. He now saw the King of All, and instantly tried to bow down, finally remembering what he was actually doing before he went to sleep, only to be stopped by the Omni King himself.

"Destroyer Beerus, no need to bow down. You have already won the game, right?", the Omni King said and the coldness in his voice even shook the Grand Priest. The Grand Priest, as long as he was his attendant, didn't remember a time when the Omni King was this angry, except for when he erased the 6 Universes, only due to some disrespect from the destroyers, and when the game he was playing was interrupted. That incident registered in the minds of the destroyers and angels, and they began giving the Omni King much more respect in order to keep his mind away from erasure. This time again was the matter of disrespect, and the Grand Priest knew very well what fate was to befall upon Beerus. Even though angels are required to be neutral in nature, he felt concerned about Whis, and if he knew what was going to happen, he wanted to know what he was thinking about.

The Grand Priest took a glance at his progeny's face. It showed a look of pure concern and a little shock and pain as well. It seemed that he very well knew what was going to happen. Beerus was sent to train under Whis when he was a small child, and the same goes for Champa and Vados, so it would make sense for them to become somewhat emotionally attached to them. If what he thinks is indeed going to happen, then he should start looking for replacement, not only for the Universe but also for Whis's loneliness. The Grand Priest then started looking in his staff to find an appropriate candidate for the replacement.

"You do understand what you've done and what its consequences may be?", the Omni King asked. To tell the truth, he didn't look like any child right now. He looked exactly how a king should look when he is disrespected. The ruler of multiverse was really chosen correctly. The one at the receiving end of his cold verbal wrath was the destroyer Beerus, who still was bowing his head down in respect or in fear or in shame, he himself didn't know, and nodded hastily. The only thing that was going on in his mind was curses. He cursed himself for being so lazy and a sleepyhead. He cursed himself for being so careless that he forgot the Omni King was playing a game including him. He cursed himself for neglecting his duties and bring down his worthiness in the king's eyes. He cursed himself for not being the destroyer Whis wanted him to be. But that was going to change. He was going to change it now.

"Then Universe 7 is going to get erased now. All because of you.", the Omni King said harshly. Beerus knew he was about to say that, so he steeled his resolve and then looked up to see the King of All right in the face, while slightly bowing.

"Your Majesty, I know what mistakes I have done, and I know that there is no way to, at least as it is now, correct my mistakes. But I want to be selfish once again, even if it is against you, My Lord.", Beerus paused to see the Omni King looking slightly confused, while he retained his angry expression.

"I plead you to change your decision to erase Universe 7, and only erase me instead.", Beerus said pleading, but a strange sense of authority was also present in his voice.

"I was going to erase you anyway, so what makes you think that I will take your wish into account for this?", Zeno asked in a threatening tone, while at the same time was a little interested in why this coward of a destroyer was standing up to him now. This being the reason for his immediate erasure to be delayed slightly.

The cat-destroyer knew that his lord was going to say something like that. He had almost already made up the outcomes for all the situations that could take place now. Beerus then bowed his head down, and then started to speak from his heart. He didn't want to use his head here. What happens next will depend on the Omni King. He was just going to follow Whis's teachings and see if the outcome was as he had anticipated.

"My Lord, I have seen what this Universe is like. I have, indeed, been a worthless destroyer all this time, but I still was observing. Observing how this Universe presently is. I have destroyed many planets which didn't pose any threat to the Universe, just for the sake of my own pleasure, and I am sure that is what has made you this cold towards me, along with the fact that I slept while the game was still going on. I have made my fair share of mistakes, but I don't want to do any more mistakes, and I also don't want you to do any mistakes. Universe 7 is rich with all sorts of people. Many are capable warriors, while some are technological geniuses. I don't want these resources to not be fully exploited, my lord. That's why I think erasing Universe 7 wouldn't be beneficial. In place of Universe 7, erasing me would only have constructive effects. New destroyer can be appointed, who is as strong as me, and there would be a rise in the mortal level as well if there was someone else in my stead. So, I beg you to erase me and not U7.", Beerus finished with bowing down, his eyes shut, as he waited for the Omni King's decision.

Everyone witnessing this scene was dumbstruck of Beerus's declaration. Quitela and Liquiir, who were making fun of him earlier were silent. Belmod, and the other destroyers and their angels were sharing the same expression except one. Of course, this was Champa, Beerus's brother. He hated his brother. He hated him because he was always acting cocky and arrogant. He hated him because he was stronger than him. He hated him because he was smarter than him. He hated him for everything that led to where they were right now. But … he didn't want him to get erased. He had never really given it a thought, but he couldn't imagine the day when his brother would not be there to listen to his self-compliments. They weren't exaggerated, mind you, but he couldn't imagine that. Since the day they were born, the duo stuck together through thick and thin. Despite being born physically exceptional, they had their own problems to face, and they did it together. When they were sent for the destroyer's training due to their abilities, they were separated, and they slowly started to change from one another, even though their designated universes were mirrors of each other. He didn't know what to do. He just wished that it was all just a dream and Vados was going to wake him up from his sleep, but it didn't happen. He was very conflicted right now. He can't go against the Omni King, while he wouldn't like his brother to be erased either. What should he do?

Whis tried to remain stoic, but was failing miserably. While he was proud of the cat for remembering his teachings and speak the truth from his heart, he was sad. Sad that he may not be able to see the cat anymore. Sad that these events had really taken place, and he couldn't even say anything. He silently said goodbye, knowing very well what was going to happen.

"You said interesting things destroyer Beerus,", the Omni King began, still a little harshly, "if what you say really is true, then it would indeed benefit erasing you instead of U7. But the fact that you are the strongest destroyer also conflicts this action. How can you assure me that there would be a destroyer stronger than you?", the Omni King finished with a question. The king asked a very important question. Since Beerus was indeed the strongest of all of the destroyers, and he said that there is a being that could be stronger than him, then there was no need for Beerus anymore, seeing from the prospect of the mortal level alone. He would erase Beerus after he has said all the important things, since he indeed had disrespected him.

"My Lord,", Beerus said as if he was expecting Zeno to ask him this question. "When I went to sleep during the hide-and-seek game,", the Omni King suddenly had a murderous aura around him, and every being got scared of him this time. Beerus continued only after a 'Continue' from the Omni King.

"I-I had a vision then Zenoh-sama. I saw a being called the Super Saiyan God, one that could rival, or potentially surpass me in terms of combat strength.", Beerus finished and the Omni King stared at him for a moment, and then turned back to his original self all of a sudden.

"Now it's time to get erased, destroyer Beerus. Any last words?", Zeno said in his childish voice, but there was a cold feeling in it.

"Yes, My Lord. Whis,", Beerus said and turned his head towards Whis, who just tried his best to remain calm "Thank you for everything you have done for me, Whis. I shall eternally remain grateful for all your teachings.", Beerus said and Whis nodded, while giving a small smile, even though the smile was fake, and Beerus knew it. He nodded and sighed and then turned towards the other destroyers.

"Thank you to you all as well. Be it however you felt about the time we spent together, I think that it's been quite a trip. I just request you to treat the next destroyer as nicely or better than how you treated me.", Beerus finished and turned his face towards the Omni King. "I am ready, My Lord.", he said.

Champa's face fell even more when Beerus turned from him and said that he was ready to be erased. Even though he had given him an extra glance, didn't he want to at least say a special goodbye to his own damn brother?! He suddenly got angry and then, even more suddenly, calmed down. He thought back to his childhood and the times the two brothers had spent together. As he was thinking about it, the Omni King had already raised his arm in the air and was slowly closing his fist, causing a bright silvery-white light to emit from it. A certain event passed through Champa's mind, which caused him to smirk, and then gave the confidence to finally speak up after a long time.

Beerus was ready for his erasure. The Omni King was about to close his fist entirely when suddenly Champa shouted – "BEERUS!", to which Beerus can do nothing but turn to face his brother. The Omni King didn't mind Champa and continued what he was doing, so as a result a white light engulfed Beerus. It didn't hurt him or anything, but on the contrary, it was calming, as if it was taking him away from his connections to this multiverse. He was becoming free. Then for the last time, he saw Champa, albeit sad, smirking towards him. He knew that smirk from all those years ago. That mischievous smile. That means-

Champa put one of his fingers under his eye, and stretched it a little. Then he opened his mouth as if to say something, but then just took his tongue out, and made a really silly face towards Beerus. [For reference take the erasure of Champa (from TOP) in the Anime] The other destroyers were surprised and at the same time, a little disgusted by Champa's actions. Was he seriously making fun of his brother at the time he was going to be erased? They knew he didn't like him, but still he was his brother, and this was a bit too much, at least in their opinion. They assumed that Beerus would be angry or something, but instead of being angry, he was doing something that surprised even Whis.

Beerus saw what Champa was doing. It reminded him of the time they spent in their childhood. 'Kid Champa had just returned after playing with his friends. He came home and showed Beerus the same face that he was showing at the present. He said that while playing someone messed up, so he and his friends were laughing at him. Then he showed this face to Champa and then they were all laughing at him for not knowing what it had meant. Beerus himself didn't know what it meant. So, the duo went out and asked everyone they saw what that face had meant. Every person just laughed it off knowing that they were just children, while few became angry and complained to their father about their actions. The brothers were dragged to their father, who looked at them with eyes that showed a little anger, interest, as well as blankness. Champa did the same face again, and their father just chuckled. He knew they really didn't know about what it had meant. Their eyes just showed it clearly. He made his sons to say that they were sorry and won't do it again. Later on, they found out what this face signified.' Beerus chuckled a little at first, and then, after a really long time, gave his first genuine smile to Champa, who smiled in return. While the other destroyers were confused of what had happened before them, the brothers' wholesome moment was short-lived as right then, the Omni King closed his fist completely, and then the smile that came from Champa's face fell. Beerus was gone. Forever. Never to be seen again. That last smile was the final present he had given to him, and that was all he needed.

Vados, U6's angel, looked at her brother, Whis, who was a bit said, but was still maintaining a smile that showed something she didn't expect to see in him. Pride. Whis was proud of Beerus. He was happy that the cat had opened his heart to him since day one, but was even happier to see him opening up to the others, even if it was in his last moments. The Grand Priest looked at Whis, and Whis too suddenly looked at him. Then, they both nodded at each other. It was as if the father and son had such a deep connection, that they had shared their words by just looking at each other. The Omni King then, with his usual personality, turned towards the Grand Priest.

"Daishinkan, where is this Super Saiyan God?", Zeno asked the Grand Minister, who looked into his staff to find where this Super Saiyan God might be. He looked into Universe 7, and found various planets consisting the 'Saiyajins', but a planet called 'Vegeta' had the most of them. And it seemed that there were some Non-Saiyans present their as well. More accurately, the 'Frost Demon' race, and a number of other species in the large spaceship, that prevailed over the Saiyan planet. Many Saiyan space-pods were arriving to the planet. It was as if someone had told them to come back. While many were returning to the planet, a space pod was leaving the planet's atmosphere. He was being sent off of the planet to somewhere. The Grand Priest took notice, and examined the one in the pod, and then said –

Flashback Interrupted~

"Goku-sama", a shrill voice rang through the duo's ears, as they turned to see a female being, wearing quite the peculiar clothing. She had a pink inner robe which was slightly puffy around the shoulder, and darkened a little as it extended to her legs. She wore a light-purple-colored robe on top of the pink one, which blended well with her green body. She had yellow shoes, well, boots to say accurately, and had an orange-colored cloth tied around her waist. Her hair, silvery white, reached up to her shoulders, and she wore yellow 'potaras' in each of her ear.

"Oh, who do we have here? Lilai-san how good of you to visit us.", Whis said cheerfully, his tone suddenly shifted from when he was reciting the incident to Goku, and Goku was surprised by this. Whis was happy that another cheerful person had arrived in U7. With Lord Beerus, it was just the serious and boring life after he became a fully-fledged destroyer, and while Shin Kai was nice to spend time with, he was quite the shy type, and didn't really visit them.

"Hello Whis-san. How are you doing?", Lilai said as cheerfully, totally forgetting about what exactly she was supposed to do here. She liked Whis as a person. She thought of him as a father-figure. He was always nice to her, so that was even more of a reason for that.

"I am doing fine. I was just telling Goku-sama about a story when you arrived. How are you doing these days?", Whis asked in return.

"Oh just the daily routine. Training to hone my magical abilities. Then learning about the whole multiverse. It's a whole lot of work and my brain just shuts itself off after some time. You know Whis-san just the other day, while I was doing the Kai-Kai, I slipped a little and ended up on a strange planet. It had these weird big green animals and also there were two-

"Uh, Hello…, you do know that I am also present here right?" Goku cut off Lilai from saying anything else. He didn't want to get too off-topic right now, since she did come shouting. Well, even if it was her regular habit of screaming his name each time she came to the planet, it seemed a bit serious this time. That is why he wanted her to say what she had come here for, and not her daily experiences, albeit he had to admit that they were amusing.

"A-Ah, Apologies, Goku-sama. I had almost forgotten that you were here.", Lilai said, a faint shade of red appearing on her face due to embarrassment.

"It's fine. I already know how forgetful you are. It doesn't matter. Coming to the point, you were shouting when you came here. Is something the matter?", Goku asked.

"Oh, about that. Goku-sama, you remember asking me to keep a watch on certain planets and their activity?", Lilai asked Goku.

"Well, of course I do. It was Namek, Yardrat, F. 419, and Earth. Why exactly do you ask? Is something going on out there?", Goku answered. He remembered asking Lilai to keep a close eye on these planets. He already knew about Yardrat from Whis, and well, planet Earth is just another story, from where he got to know about the seven magical wish-granting Namekian orbs, while F. 419 was a mystery to him. He didn't know why, but his mind told him that he had some connection there.

"Yeah, something is going on. On planet Earth to be exact. There has been an alien invasion. A tall, long-haired man wearing a special kind of armor is wreaking havoc upon planet Earth. You have got to see the condition, Goku-sama. I don't think the Earthlings can handle this themselves.", Lilai finished, and Goku's expression turned a little serious. He was worried about a certain someone, and Lilai could see that as well.

"Let me take you there, Goku-sama. C'mon Whis-san.", Lilai said, turning to face Whis, who was just standing there with his usual smile.

"Coming~", Whis said cheerfully and walked up to them. Even though he was happy that Lilai had stopped the story short, so that Goku didn't really got to know the past, the events that were taking place were giving him a sign that it will soon be all revealed. Lilai teleported herself, Goku and Whis to the Kaioshin Realm. The crystal ball, which Lilai was observing earlier was present right in front of them, and Goku, in a very long time saw something which reminded him of the past.

"A t-tail?", Goku was visibly shaken.

"Oh, right I forgot to tell you, he is a Saiyan.", Lilia said to the surprised Goku.

Whis just sighed. There goes my hard work.

Ah, finally done. Had to put a lot of thought into it. Wanted to release it on Goku Day, that is yesterday. But what can I say, I am lazy. I hope you like the beginning of the story. This is my first Dragon Ball fanfiction, or might I say the first fanfiction which I will try to actually complete? Whatever. Just wanted to ask you to share your views on my alteration of the main timeline. I think that this fanfiction has a lot of potential in it. Even though it is only the first chapter, there are several hints here and there that can be used to imagine a very big portion of the story. About his name, if someone is conflicted about it, I let it be the same, cause Kakarot-sama really doesn't sound good, at least in my opinion.

Also, just a little thing to ask, since I have never really given a thought of writing about it, so you could give me some ideas. Since in this timeline, Chi-Chi isn't going to meet Goku as a child, and I bet you know where I am going from here, and maintaining the same relationship with Bulma, who do you think Goku could end up liking. I know Gods aren't really supposed to, you know fall for, or get attracted towards beings of the mortal realm, even though they were a mortal at some point of time in their life, I believe so strongly, I would still like a little romantic touch in the story, and I know many of you would like, since I have already created an OC Female Supreme Kai. So, yeah, I am totally in for ideas, as the story updates are going to be very slow, since, you know, studying and stuff. (Also, Krillin may not be a meaningful character this time.
