"Come on Squawking Smasher! Pin 'em down!"
"Don't let him toss you around Tin Crusher!"
Shouts and cheers of this kind could be heard from Unikitty Castle in Unikingdom, where the princess was currently enjoying an afternoon with her brother and friends in the castle's TV room. They were watching a championship wrestling match against two famous wrestlers, a buff parrot/chameleon hybrid named Pareleon, who went by the name Squawking Smasher in the ring, and a robot who went by the name of Tin Crusher. Squawking Smasher was defending his title against his robotic foe and was doing pretty well so far, although Tin Crusher was no slouch either as he managed to be quite the match up for the champ.
Out of all the castle's residents, Unikitty and Puppycorn were the most excited when watching the match, completely enamored by the showmanship displayed on the screen. Meanwhile, Richard watched the match with a mild interest, Dr. Fox was trying to figure out the outcome of match using math and statistics, and Hawkodile cheered alongside the princess and her brother. He was the one who convinced all of them to watch the match in the first place, saying that it would be great fun to watch. Unikitty and Puppycorn were initially hesitant about watching the match, but that doubt faded away once they saw how awesome the wrestlers looked in their costumes as they walked to the ring and how cool the moves they did looked. It was safe to say that they had become instant wrestling fans.
"OK, after running through the stats for the fifth time, I have determined that Tin Crusher could have this match won." Dr. Fox said, looking up from her notes.
"That's right Doc, Smasher doesn't stand a chance." Puppycorn said
"Oh, come on. Obviously Squawking Smasher is better, just look at that technique." Unikitty chimed in, pointing at the TV where the hybrid wrestler was performing a drop kick on his opponent.
"I agree, he's been holding on to the title for about two years, no way he's going to give it up that easy." Hawkodile added.
"In case you guys forgot, Tin Crusher's been moving up the ranks faster than any newcomer has. He has this match in the bag." Puppycorn said.
"You sure about that little bro?" Unikitty asked while pointing at the screen. Smasher managed to get Crusher into a chokehold, resulting in the robot driving its elbow into the hybrid's side, making him let go. He then got his revenge by putting him in a scissor hold.
"Ha! he's a goner." Puppycorn cheered. The victory was short lived however as Smasher managed to get out of the scissor hold and quickly put Crusher in a submission. With them being too far away from the ropes, the robot had no choice but to tap out, giving the match to the hybrid. Unikitty and Hawkodile cheered as their wrestler walked around the ring with the belt in his wings, jumping up to the top ropes and pumping up the crowd.
"No way! Did I forget to carry a decimal?" Dr. Fox wondered as she went back to her notes.
"You just can't beat the best!" Unikitty cheered.
"That was total fluke!" Puppycorn complained.
"Guys, come on. It's still all in good sport remember?" Hawkodile said as he pointed to the screen where the two wrestlers were sharing a fist bump in respect. The royal siblings agreed and shared a fist bump of their own.
"That match was so awesome, it must really be cool to be a wrestler." Unikitty said as her eyes sparkled.
"Imagine if we were wrestlers, we could have cool costumes and awesome special moves and everything." Puppycorn said, equally enamored with the thought.
When the two siblings said that, an idea popped into Hawkodile's head, "How would you guys like to experience what its like for real?" he asked.
Richard suddenly flew between them, "Hold it, don't give them any ideas."
"I was only going to ask them if they wanted to wrestle each other in a real match." Hawkodile said.
"That's exactly what I don't want to happen, although its not like they would agree to anything like-" Richard started to say before being interrupted by both royal siblings.
"That sounds awesome!" they both said in unison.
Richard sighed in response before turning to both of them, "I understand you wanting to do it Puppycorn, but you princess? I thought you were above violence."
"I don't see it as violence Richard, just as another way to spend time with my favorite little bro." Unikitty said while pulling Puppycorn into a hug.
"Even if you wanted to, we are certainly lacking the funds to build a proper ring." Richard said.
"Actually I still have this portable ring that Dr. Fox gave me for my birthday." Hawkodile said while pulling out a small cube with a button on top and a picture of a wrestling ring on the side.
"Why would you give him that Doc?" Richard asked.
"Wrestling emergencies." she simply said.
"OK, but you still don't have costumes." Richard said.
"I have my costume chest for a reason. We could make the most awesome costumes ever!" Puppycorn stated.
"Well-" Richard started to say before he was interrupted again.
"And we can use my stereo system for atmosphere!" Unikitty said.
At this point, Richard knew he wasn't going to able to talk them out of it, "Alright then, at least this is going to be something between us."
"Of course, let's invite the whole kingdom!" Unikitty said as they left the room to set everything up, leaving Richard alone.
"Me and my big mouth." he said to no one in particular.
That night, Unikingdom's first wrestling event was to be held in the park. Since Unikitty and Puppycorn would be the ones facing off against each other, the event was agreed to be called the "Unikingdom Royal Rumble. Hawkodile's portable ring was set up in the middle of three sets of bleachers, where many of the kingdom's citizens were waiting for the event to start. In the space not occupied by bleachers was a stage where the wrestlers would walk out of, leading to a ramp with led to the ring. In front of the bleachers opposite of the ring was a commentators desk where Dr. Fox and Richard were currently seated, they would be giving a play by play of the match.
Suddenly, the lights in the surrounding the ring went out, causing confusion and chatter amongst the audience. A single spotlight shone on the ring, followed by Hawkodile being lowered into it. He wore a tuxedo and carried a microphone, "Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the first ever wrestling event to ever take place in the kingdom, the Unikingdom Royal Rumble!" he announced, causing the lights to all go on at once along with some party music. The crowd went wild at this and started cheering loudly, "Tonight, two warriors will duke it out in this ring for title of kingdom champion!" Hawkodile said, taking out a championship belt with an engraving of the castle's outline surrounded by sequins, "Now then, let's get physical!"
The spotlights then turned to the stage as a happy, bouncy song began to play.

"Introducing the first contender, she's a lover of all things bright, beautiful, joyful, and happy. She's here to please and kick butt while she's at it. Introducing 'Rainbow Rider!'" Hawkodile announced as he pointed to the stage where Unikitty made her appearance as her wrestler persona. She wore a light blue leotard with pink and white lines zigzagging down the sides. On the back was an image of a stylized rainbow covered in glitter. She also wore rainbow head and wristbands and white booties. She skipped happily down to the ring while waving at the cheering crowd before sliding into the ring and high-fiving her bodyguard. She climbed to the top of one of the corners and pumped her arms to get the crowd excited.
Hawkodile then gave her the microphone in order to give her promo speech as all good wrestlers do, "Unikingdom, let me get one thing perfectly clear. I'm not fighting for myself, I'm not fighting for the belt, I'm not even fighting for admiration. I'm fighting in the name of all things good in this world, and yes I'm talking about all of you here tonight! I can feel the happiness radiating from all of you, the same happiness that gives me power I need to spread more of it! You better be feeling joyful tonight, because I'm about to ride the rainbow straight to the stars!" She finished her speech by dramatically pointing to the sky, causing to crowd to cheer loudly. She gave the mic back to Hawkodile and went to a corner.

The next theme song started as Hawkodile began another announcement, "And now, our next contender is someone who might be small, but that's where you'd be wrong. He's a mighty warrior who hungers for victory and anyone who stands in his way better be on their guard. Let's make some noise for 'Mutt Maniac!'" From out of the stage came Puppycorn as his own wrestler persona, raising both arms in the air as he began to walk down the ramp. He wore a deep blue luchador mask with red trim and a yellow lightening bolt coming down the right eye. He also wore a black tank top with two stylized 'M's on the front along with a pair of blue shorts and black boots. He suddenly broke into a sprint down to the ring and made a jump that cleared the top rope before landing in the ring. He then took out a small can of whipped cream and sprayed it around his mouth to make it look like he had rabies before snarling and barking. Unikitty and Hawkodile couldn't help but chuckle a little, Puppycorn was really selling his alter ego.
He licked off the whipped cream before grabbing the mic and starting his speech, "Alright everyone, listen up! I got a little message for my opponent. I really hope she's ready for world-class butt whooping. By the time I'm done with her, she's gonna wish she had never stepped into this ring with me. Her face will be so unrecognizable, she'll never want to look into a mirror again. This here is my territory, and when you step into my territory, you're gonna get slammed into the ground so hard the whole world can feel it! Manic Mutt shows no mercy!" Puppycorn finished his speech to much fanfare, solidifying his role as the heel in this match.
Hawkodile waved them both the center of the ring before ripping off his tux to reveal a referee uniform, "Alright you two, first to pin their opponent down for three seconds wins the match. No biting, cheap shots, or flying." he explained, saving the last one for Unikitty.
Richard then flew in all of sudden and placed foam balls on the tops of their horns, "Just in case." he said before going back to the commentators table. Both siblings gave each other a fist bump before going back to their corners. Dr. Fox rang a bell on the side of the desk, signaling the start of the match. The crowd cheered as the two wrestlers circled each other before locking up their arms in an attempt to overpower each other. Unikitty eventually got the upper hand by doing a handstand on Puppycorn's paws before using her weight to slam down on top of him. Puppycorn shoved her off and got her into a head lock and holding her there for a submission. She slammed an elbow into her brother's gut and backed off to regain her breath.
The two of them circled each other in anticipation for their next move. It eventually came with Unikitty grabbing Puppycorn's arm and whipping him towards the ropes. He was shot back right into a clothesline, causing him to slam onto the mat. Before he could recover, Unikitty flipped him over and started pulling his torso back in a camel clutch. Puppycorn made it look like he was about to tap out before grabbing the rope, making Unikitty break the hold. Unikitty tried to go for him again, but Puppycorn was ready with a sudden drop kick to the head, causing Unikitty to fall painfully to the mat. Puppycorn then got her up in a kneeling position and put her into a half-nelson.
Unikitty got out of the hold by pulling Puppycorn over her head, causing him to slam onto his back. She then quickly got him into a leg lock, which he got out of by twisting left. He then picked her up before she could recover and threw her across the ring. Puppycorn then charged towards a recovering Unikitty and performed a speed takedown before pumping the crowd. Suddenly, Unikitty tripped him and performed an arm lock, pulling it back in an attempt to make Puppycorn submit. Puppycorn forced his arm forward before catching Unikitty into a headlock, from there he suddenly flipped her upside down and slammed her onto her back in a piledriver.
Unikitty laid there dazed while Puppycorn went in for the pin, causing Hawkodile to get near them and begin the count, "1... 2... Kickout!" Unikitty suddenly broke free and shoved Puppycorn towards a turnbuckle. She then quickly got up before running towards him, jumping up, and placing a knee right into his chest. Using the momentum, she then grabbed his head while falling down, curved her body while falling backwards, before finall flipping him onto his back. Puppycorn just laid there tyring to get his breath back while Unikitty climbed to the top rope. She pumped up the crowd before tapping her elbow and jumping off towards Puppycorn. Even through his daze, he managed to move away at the last second, causing Unikitty to have a painful landing.
While she was writhing on the floor in pain, nearly going into her angry form, Puppycorn got on top of her and pulled her legs back in a Boston Crab. He held the position and waited for Unikitty to tap out, but she held on with all her willpower. She was too far away from the ropes to grab them, so she decided to get experimental. She leaned into the hold so that Puppycorn would fall backwards while she rolled under him, causing them to switch positions in relation to who was on top and who was on the bottom. After breaking free, Unikitty ran to a nearby corner to regain her strength while Puppycorn slowly got up. They ran at each other and locked arms together once again.
This time, it was Puppycorn who came out on top. He quickly kneed Unikitty in the gut before flipping her over and performing another piledriver. While she was on the ground, Puppycorn dragged her over to a corner and sat her down before running at her and dropkicking her. That last attack seemed to stun Unikitty greatly, she slid down into a laying position in the same corner, her eyes lidded and she was breathing heavily. Puppycorn took this as a sign to finish the match. He climbed the top rope and pumped up the crowd before looking at Unikitty's dazed form. He then jumped into the air and flipped before spreading his limbs out in a body slam.
Unikitty was unable to move from her incoming brother, too tired from the punishment she had endured up to that point. Puppycorn slammed right on top of his sister, causing limbs to rise up in shock before falling back down. After that, Unikitty was completely out, her mouth hung open while her eyes twirled around dizzily. Hawkodile came in again and started the count, "1... 2... 3!" he shouted, causing the crowd to cheer. The mic came down again and Hawkodile grabbed it as Puppycorn's theme song started to play, "It's over! Ladies and gentleman, your Unikingdom Wrestling Champion, Manic Mutt!" he announced. The crowd went wild as Puppycorn accepted the belt and raised it over his head. He then looked at his sister's dazed form and wondered, "I hope I wasn't too rough."
Later that evening, Unikitty woke up from her daze. She found that she was in her bed being looked over by her friends. She had bandages on various spots of her body and an ice pack was placed on one of her legs, "Ugh, what happened?" she asked, still a little woozy.
"Puppycorn kind of knocked you out and you sustained a few injuries, nothing major though." Dr. Fox explained rubbing some of her healing ointment on Unikitty side.
"Sorry about that sis, maybe I did go a little overboard." Puppycorn said, he still had the belt with him, although he had some bandages on him as well.
"I'll say you have, both of you. You call smacking yourselves around fun?" Richard asked.
"Richard, its fine. Sure it hurts a little, but that's part of the fun." Unikitty said.
"So, you can honestly say you had fun?" Richard asked.
"Of course, all that matters is that I had fun with my favorite little bro. I'm just so happy he won." Unikitty said, smiling towards her brother.
"Aw, thanks sis. I had fun too. You were awesome out there." Puppycorn said, giving his sister a hug.
"In our eyes, you're both winners." Hawkodile said.
"The citizens seems to think so too, they're even clamoring for another match." Dr. Fox said.
"That is not-" Richard started to say before being interrupted.
"Awesome, I'm down for a rematch. That is if Manic Mutt is ready to lose his title?" Unikitty asked, with a playfully menacing tone.
"I'm down too, if Rainbow Rider doesn't mind losing again." Puppycorn said, playing along. They started to playfully growl and glare at each other before giggling and sharing another hug.
Even Richard couldn't help but smile a little at this scene, "I guess everyone has fun in their own way." he thought to himself.
