Day 21: Torture
Diluc swore and cursed as he wrangled around in his bindings. To say he was not happy would be the understatement of the century.
Diluc had been fighting a Cryogunner when he made the mistake of not noticing the Electrohammer sneaking up behind him. One hit and an Overload later and he was barely conscious as his two assailants tied him up and put a sack over his head before they took him somewhere.
While he couldn't be where he was, he could tell that it was uncomfortably warm. It didn't bother him too much because of his Vision, but it was still hot enough that he was swearing. It made his clothes stick to his body and he felt heavier than usual. It definitely wasn't making him any friendlier by a long shot.
The next time he saw one of the Fatui members, he was going to tear them limb from limb.
His murderous thoughts were interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps and a heavy door being dragged open. He could hear the sound of struggling and felt his anger rise at the thought of them kidnapping someone else to get him to talk. He wished he wasn't so disoriented so that he could use his Vision without worrying about hitting the other.
"Lookie who we brought for you," one of the agents cooed. "Did you miss your little friend here?"
Diluc heard what sounded like a gasp, but he wasn't able to think much about it before the sack was ripped off his head. The room was dim, barely lit by two torches on either side of the room. However, that didn't stop him from going cold at the sight he was met with.
Kaeya was on the opposite side of the room, near the other torch. He was a bloodied mess, his face and clothes covered in it. His clothes were torn in several places, but Diluc couldn't make out how bad his injuries were with bad lighting and the sheer amount of blood making it hard to see. It was this sight that drilled in a chilling realization into Diluc's mind.
This wasn't his interrogation.
Kaeya looked like he was weighing his options, the strategist side of his brain trying to find a way to get them both out of here. His thoughts were jarred to a halt when the agent closest to him – a Pyroslinger – grabbed him by the hair and sharply yanked on him up, earning a surprised cut-off scream.
The sound had Diluc's blood boiling.
He struggled again, more violently this time, but was stopped when a foot collided with his stomach. He heard a shout, likely Kaeya, as he tried to regain his breathing. The kick had apparently come from the Cryogunner from before along with the Electrohammer. If he could summon his claymore, he would wipe off the smirk the cowards' were likely wearing on their hidden faces.
They were only acting so tough because Diluc was tied up.
His glare was only met with a distorted laugh before the bulbous person turned back to their original victim. The Pyroslinger still had ahold of Kaeya's hair and the captain's eye was leaking tears from the pain.
"If you don't start answering our questions," the Pyro Delusion user simpered, "you won't be the only one feeling the pain anymore." He cackled, the idea clearly pleasing to him.
"Now choose: answer our questions or brother dearest gets hurt along with you."
Well, this sucks, Diluc thought sardonically.
A jolt of Electro was all it took before the screaming filled the chamber.
A/N: This was written on the 24th of February. It gave me a bit of trouble since I suck at writing torture scenes and torture makes me queasy. Instead, I wrote the aftermath of Kaeya being tortured before Diluc gets himself dragged into it.
I'm sure that afterwards, Diluc gets free, beats the Fatui agents to a pulp and gets him and Kaeya back to Mondstadt for medical treatment, alcohol (grape juice for himself) and ice cream. They both need it.
