Return To Japan
It had been years since she first left Japan. She wondered how different it was going to be for her. She wondered what everyone really looked like beyond the screen. Her family lineage prevented her from talking to them directly, they relied mostly on sights and coded speech, but due to the circumstances they were part of the reason why she left to begin with. While away, it became harder and harder to reach out to anyone on the other side of the world. There was one person she did message and hear from more frequently than the others. That person was the reason why she currently waits in the Toronto airport.
With her headphones in, she waited in the airport for her flight. People would often stare at her as they walked by. It wasn't fairly normal to see someone with snow white hair and fair skin within the mix of travellers. She stuck out like a sore thumb in the waiting area with her black mask covering her mouth and nose. She wore her dark tinted sunglasses so that her gaze would not be met directly by others.
She was always on edge no matter where she went. There were things in the world that others couldn't see but she could. Beings that were thought to be a form of fairy tale or myth. But to her and her family, they were very real and something that they were born to deal with. She was capable of seeing curses that haunt individuals and areas. She bore a type of a seal used to destroy and fend of these beings bestowed upon her from birth. Her name is Tsukishima Inumaki and she is a Jujustu Sorcerer with Curse Speech.
The boarding was being called prompting Tsuki to grab her things and start the boarding process. She boarded the plane and found her seat. It was going to be a long journey from Canada to Japan but it was journey she felt was worth making just to make it home.
Tsuki left Japan shortly after her graduation to join the Sorcerers overseas. At least that's what she tells people. The real story was how she had a falling out with some of her family members and wanted to make a name for herself elsewhere. She moved to America and then to Canada working as a sorcerer and honing her skills in many ways.
She opened her phone to see the last message she received from an old friend of hers in Japan. "Can't wait to see you home again. I'm going to give you the biggest hug and never let you go," she read. As she rereads the text a message pops up on her phone from a friend of her still in Canada. "Don't forget to call," it said.
She couldn't help but to smile as her friend knew that was something that wasn't very viable. The Inumaki bloodline is most notable for Curse Speech users. Curse Speech are a form of seals that are comprised of snake eyes and teeth. By using these seals, the user has the ability to direct words, commands, and more to a target or targets forcing them to comply with the words that are said. The downside to this is that it does drastically affect the user by means of a sore throat, loss of voice, and blood being coughed up if used too much or against a more powerful foe. The user must have the seals in order to use the ability, due to this, Tsuki has her seals directly located on her mouth. An eye on either side of her mouth and the teeth on her tongue enables her to use the curse speech without any tool. However, because of this she grew up mute. She learned a variety of sign language and other means of communication at a young age due to the consequences that her seal can cause. Even if she didn't intend to, she can accidentally harm an innocent by saying something to them. This is why she tends to keep some sort of mask over her mouth so that people don't see her seals, but it also acts as a reminder for herself to not speak to others. Over the years she has developed the Curse Speech in a way which has granted her the control over the speech. This means that as of late, she is able to speak normally to others. However, extreme tiredness can play in her ability and revert her control.
With her earphones on the plane took off to Japan. With average plane food as well as the snacks she purchased prior, she was making her way back home. Once again she reread the text that started her journey back to Japan. Something she never really thought would come. "I need you to come home".
After several hours on the plane, Tsuki awoke to the announcement that they are about to land. The airplane successfully landed and began the taxi to the building. She unloaded her carry on and marched along with the others to the baggage claim. She sent a text saying that she had landed and would be grabbing her bag shortly. It was weird to her being back in Japan, it was almost as if she didn't even really leave at all. She grabbed her bag and made her way outside.
Standing outside was a black vehicle with a man standing in front of it. The man wore a business outfit and stood by the car with a sign that had her name on it. She greeted him only with a nod immediately recognizing it as an old friend of hers Kiyotaka Ijichi.
"Welcome home, Tsukishima," he replied with a smile.
He opened the trunk door and threw her bags inside. She got in the front seat and the two set off for the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College. A school she hadn't been to in years, and now she was coming back with work to do.
It was late at night when she arrived which meant that everyone in the dorms were either out on a mission or asleep in the dorms. Judging by how Ijichi was it seemed that everyone should be within the dorms this night. They pulled up and as soon as Tsuki stepped foot out of the vehicle she felt something. The presence was strong but almost felt incomplete. What she was feeling was definitely a type of curse spirit. She darted and scanned the perimeters with her eyes but couldn't pick up on anything.
"I know you feel something and your instincts aren't wrong, but you need to trust me when I say everything is ok."
She turned to see Ijichi with her bags in hand. His demeanour was calm and not on edge. Seeing his body language she calmed down and proceeded to grab her bags from him. She thanked him the best that she could and proceeded to walk into the building. As she walked the path, memories filled her mind of her time she was at the school. It seemed like ages ago since she was a student her herself training.
Approaching the door she saw a figure in the doorway. He stood there in the cold night air wearing sweats and a t-shirt. Even though it was dark out, he wore dark black sunglasses and allowed his white messy hair be loose. Standing before Tsuki was the very person who had started her journey back to Japan, Satoru Gojo.
"Oi, Oi, Oi, I was beginning to worry you weren't coming!" he gave a shout with a smile.
She lowered her own glasses she wore so that he could see her eyes roll in friendly annoyance. He gave a laugh and immediately hugged her once she reached the door. The two were very good friends during their time together as students. He helped her with her things and set her up into her own room within the dorm.
"I have the whole day planned for us tomorrow. Just you wait!" Gojo said with excitement in his voice as he put the bags down. "First I want to show you some shopping places, you still like shopping right?"
She nodded and took her glasses off to reveal the dark circles under eyes.
"Perfect, then I thought we could get some lunch together. And tomorrow there is a small fair happening that I want to check out."
Tsuki held her hands up and motioned for him to slow-down.
"Oh, right. You probably need to get some sort of rest from jet lag. I understand. I'm going to let you sleep, my room is just right next door to yours. Give the door a knock if you need anything," he gave a thumbs up to her.
She responded with a small thumbs up of her own. Gojo left and closed the door behind him. Tsuki sat on the bed and fell back with her arms outstretched. She removed the mask from her face and stared at the ceiling.
"I'm home," she said closing her eyes and eventually falling asleep.
The following morning, Tsuki woke up fairly early. It seemed like no one else was awake just yet or at least weren't around. She grabbed her things and made her way towards the bathroom where she would have her shower. Walking back, it still seemed quiet within the halls. She put on a pair of her favorite shorts and her comfy black crop top hoody. Feeling a little more in her element, she left her mouth exposed and pulled her long white hair up into a pony tail. She grabbed her speaker and walked into the shared kitchen. She examined the fridge to see what was available to make for breakfast. After deciding on a classic bacon and eggs, she turned her speaker on and selected her jamming tunes for the morning.
The kitchen was eventually filled with the sounds of music and the smell of bacon. It was enough to cause others to stir within the dormitory. A student with spiked black hair walked into the room a little disoriented. He sat down clearly just woken up as two others walked in. A female with orange short hair and a male with a pinkish hair and an undercut. Both also appeared to have just woken up.
When the pink hair boy walked into the room, Tsuki immediately had her instincts kick in like the night before. She carefully eyed the boy without making any movements. She noticed that he seemed to be just like any other ordinary student. He had markings on his cheeks that looked like some sort of scar which caught her eye. When she turned to try and sneak a closer look a mouth appeared and the marking turned into an eye.
"Well, well, well what do we have here," the mouth said causing the boy to perk up. The other two were also quick to snap out of their daze and be alert.
Completely caught off guard Tsuki had no clue what to expect at that point. She felt a hand on her shoulder causing her to flinch slightly. Gojo was there right next to her and gave her a reassuring feeling.
"This here is…"
"Woah! You look like Inumaki!" the pink hair boy shouted and gestured to his own mouth.
"I'm Tsukishima Inumaki," Tsuki introduced herself.
"Well aren't you a fine piece of work," the voice said.
"Would you cut it out!" the boy replied to the mouth by punching his own face.
"Don't worry that's normal," the girl informed Tsuki.
In that moment, Tsuki remembered the food on the stove and tended to the breakfast. At this point, she was no longer making a meal for herself she was making it for the students as well as Gojo.
"Here you have Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Yuiji Itadori the current host for Sukuna."
Tsuki's eyes widened after hearing Sukuna's name. Sukuna was the most notorious being also known as the King of Curses. He was too strong to be killed and therefore twenty of his fingers were deemed as cursed objects.
Tsuki new right away that this was the presence she was feeling the whole time. The vessel of Sukuna was currently sitting at a table right before her. She questioned it at first because of the student's initial demeanour, but there was no mistaken the feeling she had.
"Don't be such a worry wort, its fine," Gojo padded Tsuki on the back.
"Wait, aren't you a Curse Speech user?" Nobara questioned. "You just spoke normally."
"So long as I feel like I have control over it, I can speak normally like you guys. Otherwise, if I feel the need to I won't say anything. It does take a lot of concentration but after a while I don't even notice it," she answered while dishing out the plates. "Early in the morning and late at night when I'm feeling tired is usually when I try to keep silent. If I also talk a lot in one day I can feel gradually more and more tired which eventually puts everyone at risk. But don't worry, I'm not much a talker at the end of the day."
A side door opens while three individuals walk in. A female with greenish hair, a male with white short hair, and a very large panda. At the sight of the group walking in, Tsuki dropped the pan she was holding. Among the three was someone she recognized and someone she hadn't seen in years. She was overcome with a variety of emotions that she didn't know how to show. In the classic school uniform with a neck guard covering his mouth and nose was her brother Toge Inumaki. He finally caught sight of her and froze in his tracks. His eyes widened at the sight of her. Tsuki didn't know what to do and only stood with her jaw dropped.
Toge made the first move and walked passed the girl lightly pushing her out of his way. He continued to lock eyes on Tsuki as she too began to move towards him. Standing slightly taller than him, Tsuki still didn't know what to do. She noticed Toge had made a fist in his hand and his face was starting to turn red. It was clear that there were things he wanted to throw at her and she was ready to face it.
"Why are you here?" he asked pulling the zipper to his guard down revealing the same snake eye seal around his mouth.
"Toge," the girl he was with tried to calm him.
"WHY ARE YOU HERE!" Toge shouted.
"Toge, I'm sorry." Tsuki started. "I didn't want to leave you. I had to leave. Things were just not good for me here. But I want to try again."
"You left me!"
"I'm sorry please just let me make…"
"Shut up!" Toge shouted.
Tsuki felt a ringing in her ears causing her to keep her mouth shut and comply with his order. She just hung her head in shame.
In reality she was telling the truth to him. She never wanted to leave Toge alone when she initially moved away. Tsuki was considered a child prodigy and started her training as a sorcerer at a very young age. She made her way quickly up the ranks as a sorcerer but felt like she was leaving her brother behind. She and Toge were very close to one another growing up, but as she got older she was consistently pulled away for missions upon their family's request. It was just becoming too much for her and she felt like there was no life for her outside of being a sorcerer. She left to escape and live a life and doing so she was able to start a new life but still work as a sorcerer. After finding that balance and staying in touch with Gojo, he managed to convince her to come home and try having that balance in Japan at the school. She was signed on as a secondary teacher and would be working as a sorcerer there once more.
After a pause, she felt the effect of the speech wear off, "Hate me if you want to, but I did what I did for a reason. Please understand that. I never meant to hurt you. I wanted to do it for my own well-being. I want to make it up to you, I really do. Please let me back into your life."
Toge, realizing what he had done began to show an apologetic expression to his own face. "Bento Flakes," he replied to her zipping up the guard once more.
Remembering the coded speech they used to use as children, "Salmon." Without hesitation, she grabbed him into a hug. He was reluctant at first, but it was clear that he was happy that his sister was home.
She pulled away from him and he immediately avoided eye contact. It was in that moment that she knew it was going to take some time to repair the damage that was done. She loved and deeply cared for her brother, but things wouldn't be the same as before. One day they would be able to repair their relationship with one another.
With breakfast underway, Tsuki got herself ready for the day that Gojo had planned out for them. It was a day with just the two of them to celebrate and welcome her home. The two had remained fairly close to one another growing up. Even though she was rarely ever partnered with him, she still hung around him and others.
She brushed out her hair once more and tied it back into a high pony, pulling her hair through her black ball cap. She kept her black hoodie crop top on and changed into some long baggy shorts with some white knee high socks. She looked at herself in the mirror and took the time to put on a light layer of natural make-up. Any thick layer of make up over top her seals made her feel like she looked weird and out of place. Typically she tries to avoid makeup all together due to covering her face, but today was a special occasion.
She put on her purple converse shoes and met up with Gojo who was standing in the doorway waiting for her already. He picked out an equally relaxed outfit of loose fitted pants and a white tee shirt with a green button up short sleeve. His black glasses covered his eyes as he stared down at his phone. Tsuki flicked his phone as she approached causing him to flinch and to stop it from falling. She laughed in amusement after it took him a second to catch it.
"Ready?" he asked.
She nodded putting her mask over her mouth and her blue tinted glasses on. The two walked out of the dorm and proceeded to a vehicle that was parked nearby. To their knowledge they were alone and that's how it was going to be the entire day. However, there were others who had a different idea.
"Is Gojo leaving with her?" Megumi asked Nobara and Yuji.
"You don't think the two of them are dating do you!" Yuji replied.
"Well, there is only one way to find out," Nobara said.
"And you have some idea?"
"Follow them of course!"
The whole drive over, Tsuki blasted her music and let herself enjoy the moment. Gojo had no complaints and joined in on the fun with her. They pulled into the shopping area that was picked out and started their shopping spree. Tsuki was used to the big cities so shopping wasn't something she wasn't used to. Shopping in Japan was just something she hadn't done in a while. The sights, the smells, and the colors drew her all around the area. About a half an hour into the shopping, Tsuki realized that this was really a moment for her to shop and pick out some new things for herself. Tsuki walked out with new clothes, books, music, and more. Gojo on the other hand walked out typically with nothing but consistently offered to carry her things or even buy some things for her. It was a nice gesture that really helped Tsuki set herself up again after leaving most of her things in Canada.
After their shopping, they loaded up the car and decided to break for lunch. They stopped at a small café and ordered their meals and drinks. Nearby the trio of students who had been tailing them the whole morning were nearby and trying to keep themselves out of sight.
"Are you having fun?" Gojo opened up.
She nodded yes as a reply.
"You're not at your limit are you?" he asked.
"No, I'm just not much of a talker. You should know that. I mean it's been almost ten years but I'm still me," she said taking off her mask but letting it hang on her ear.
She met his bright blue eyes as he lowered his head to see above his sunglasses as he placed elbows on the table and his head in his hands. He cocked and eyebrow and had a slight grin to his face, "So you're still the same girl huh?"
Confused she responded, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Like you don't know," he continued sitting back and crossing his arms.
The waitress had come by with their coffees causing Tsuki to quickly cover her mouth with her hands. Gojo's smile left after seeing her do this and thanked the waitress with a returning smile. The waitress left with a bit of a giggle leaving the two of them alone once more. With a bit of a relief Tsuki grabbed the coffee with both of her hands.
"You're still embarrassed," Gojo commented.
"Well, it's not every day you come across a woman with," she pulled her hands away from the mug and made a quotation like gesture with her fingers, "tattoos on their face."
"You shouldn't be embarrassed. I think they're cool."
"Says the guy who lives behind a blindfold or dark tinted glasses," she replied with a bit of sarcasm.
"Alright, you got me there I'll let you have that. Just try it once just to see what it would be like."
The waitress from earlier returned with their sandwiches and soup. Out of response to Gojo, Tsuki grabbed the mask from her ear and put it on the table. She made eye contact with the waitress who was immediately staring at her after putting the food on the table. It took a second for the waitress to realize that she was staring and she quickly left their table.
"You see…" Tsuki reacted once the waitress left. She glanced over and saw that the waitress was pointing her out to the barista at the counter. Tsuki just shook it off in annoyance and tried to enjoy her meal.
"Don't take it too hard," Gojo replied.
After their meal, they made their way towards the fair that was currently nearby. It was within walking distance from the café which meant they could leave their things in the car. Tsuki was sure to put her mask on covering her seals once more. The two of them made it to the fair ground where there was music and rides. Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji were not far behind them either.
The rest of the afternoon was filled with games and rides. A concert was going on at the fairground going into the evening. The two of them danced together and enjoyed themselves in the moment. Gojo was not hesitant in grabbing Tsuki's hand to spin her around or hold onto both of her hands as they danced. Tsuki was even relaxed to the point where she took her mask off to reveal her smiles. After dancing for a while and before the sun was going to go down, Tsuki wanted to take some pictures to remember the day. She turned her camera to herself for a selfie. As she posed, Gojo grabbed her waist and rested his head on her shoulder to pose with her. It had been a long time since Tsuki had this much fun in one day.
Nearby Nobara grabs a hold of Megumi's and Yuji's uniforms after seeing the two pose for pictures. Nobara let out a small little screech prompting Yuji to look to see what she was seeing.
"NO WAY!" Yuji called out.
"Shut it!" Megumi replied punching Yuji.
"She just showed up out of the blue, she really is his girlfriend!" Nobara said in bewilderment.
"Let's keep tailing them some more," Yuji said and the others agreed.
Tsuki and Gojo left the dance area and walked towards a desert stand. They each grabbed an ice cream cone and walked towards a nearby bench. Gojo held onto Tsuki's ice cream as she took of her hoodie and tied it around her waist. Underneath she wore a black sports bra but on her back was a large scar across her shoulder blades.
"I forgot about that scar," Gojo pointed out.
"I often do too because it's where I can't see. But you know, can't really forget about something like that now can you."
"I can't believe how bad the scar turned out."
"Ya, it sucks but what can you do," she said sitting down and taking her ice cream.
The two enjoyed some reminiscing of the times that they shared with one another as teens. There were plenty of laughs while they enjoyed their evening.
"What do you think their talking about?" Megumi openly asked.
Yuji began to imitate Tsuki's voice in a very mocking way, "Oh, Gojo you're as handsome as ever. I just want to be with you forever."
Nobara was still trying to comprehend the situation she was witnessing. They group watched the two of them share their laughs with one another. At one point it appeared that Gojo said Tsuki's name prompting her to turn and look. He proceeded to poke her nose with his ice cream leaving a bit on the tip of her nose. She smacked his leg in annoyance and went to wipe the ice cream off of her nose. Before she even touched her face, Gojo had grabbed her chin and licked the little bit of ice cream that was on her nose. Her eyes widened as she stammered a little bit. Nobara jutted out from their hiding spot.
"What if Inumaki saw this!" Yuji commented witnessing the same thing that Nobara saw.
"Don't tell him!" Megumi told Yuji sternly.
On the bench Tsuki sat with Gojo still holding onto her chin. Her face started to go visibly red as his face was still close to hers. She met his eyes once more.
"So you really are the same old same old. Easy to fluster," he said with a smile.
Tsuki without thinking lost control of herself, "Let go."
Gojo complied with her order and let go of her chin. He returned to his ice cream as if nothing had happened while Tsuki was trying to get a hold of herself. She put her mask back on to help her maintain control with her heart racing. The two of them were close to one another and would not hesitate to be touchy feely to one another. However, having their faces close like that sent Tsuki in a whirl wind.
In her mind she was trying to piece together what just happened while he sat there enjoying the last of his ice cream. Her heart was racing and she was feeling a bit of panic come over her. She kept asking herself, what that was over and over again. She reassured that it was nothing just Gojo being Gojo. It had been ten years, was he always like this? She pulled herself together in the span of a couple of minutes and punched Gojo in the arm.
"What was that for?" he asked dropping the tiny bit of cone he still had left.
Still trying to keep her control she took her glasses off and only used her eyes to communicate for the time being. She glared at him until he could get what was going on. He let out a laugh and apologized for doing that to her. He didn't think she would take it like that and said he wouldn't push her buttons any further.
As the night lights were kicking in the two decided to call it a night and make their way back to the dorms. The two walked away from the bench but they didn't make it too far before Tsuki realized she had left her glasses at the bench. She grabbed Gojo's sleeves to get his attention. With her fingers she pointed to her eyes, then back to the bench, and gestured that she would be back in a second. She walked away and found her glasses had fallen underneath the bench. When she crouched down to pick them up a foot slammed on the bench seat. She looked up to see a guy in a leather jacket staring down at her.
"Hey there. It's not every day you see a fine ass looking women like yourself digging face tats."
Unsure as to what was going on she stood up and broke eye contact turning to walk away.
"Hey I'm talking to you," he called out to her.
She continued to ignore him.
He grabbed her arm pulling her and said with a growl, "I'm talking to you."
"Let her go," came Gojo's voice from behind her.
"Oh ya, what do you plan on doing there pal," the guy said with a chuckle.
Tsuki, having had enough of the situation, decided to take some action. She heeled stomped the guy's foot and proceeded to punch him in the face. Although Tsuki doesn't initially appear to look it. Underneath her baggy clothes is a fairly athletic and muscular individual. While in Canada as a sorcerer Tsuki was also working as a mechanic. With the combination, she was capable of packing some force behind her punch. It was enough to knock the guy to the ground and let go of her arm. She shook her hand and Gojo wrapped his arm around her shoulder as they turned to walk away from the guy.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," Gojo said with a wave of his hand.
Tsuki grabbed his hand on her shoulder and held onto it in comfort. They continued walking to their vehicle as such. Once they reached the vehicle Tsuki and Gojo's phones went off before they could reach the handles. Both of them received the same message with an address.
"Looks like we can't go home just yet. Duty calls for both of us by the sound of it," Gojo said holding his phone up.
Without hesitation he took his glasses off and put a blindfold over his eyes lifting his hair up. Tsuki knew what this meant for both of them. There was a curse that needed looking into. It was most likely directed to her with Gojo as her partner so that she could be assessed with her current skills. Without a word, she proceeded to the driver's seat. Gojo threw her the keys and she got in. She plugged the address into her phones GPS and set off.
A little annoyed that she hadn't even checked in yet with anyone but Gojo, She came out not fully prepared to take on a curse at that time. In her mind she wished she was wearing better clothes and had her tools with her. In the end it didn't really matter to her, she just accepted the fact that it was the way it was.
She pulled up to what appeared to be some sort of school. The two of them got out of the car and walked onto the grounds. Gojo began to say a mantra chant that created a black veil in the sky. The veil draped over the school with them inside.
As soon as Gojo put the veil down he called out, "So how long are you planning on sneaking around?"
Tsuki turned around to see what he was talking about. Out of the corner of her eye she picked out the trio that had been following them the whole time. They were out of breath after apparently running from where they were dropped off by another vehicle.
"Man, you guys know you are really hard to chase after," Yuji said out of breath as he approached.
Gojo let out a laugh.
Tsuki pulled her mask off again, "Just make sure you guys stay back. There is no telling what we are actually dealing with here. It's must be something if they have both of us summoned."
"What do you mean?" Nobara asked.
"It's not every day they ask a Special Grade and Grade 1 sorcerer to one spot."
"They're probably seeing what your grade worth actually is," Gojo commented.
"You're probably right, but here I was thinking that we'd be back at the dorm at a decent hour. Beggar can't be choosers though. Let's just get this done and over with," she said turning to face the school.
She proceeded to walk towards thinking that Gojo was probably right about assessing her true grading. She quietly put away her mask and anticipated that Gojo was going to stay back the entire duration leaving her to proceed solo. Not really wanting to waste time searching for the entity, Tsuki decided to utilize what she could do best. With her hands in her pockets she took in a deep breath and let out an echoing scream. Gojo remained unfazed by her powerful screech, but the others were quick to cover their ears. Her scream was almost enough to shatter the school windows but she restrained herself enough to prevent that.
It didn't take long for many low graded curses to appear into the open. She waited as they came charging at her. Remaining unfazed she waited until she couldn't see any more new curses before continuing her pursuit.
"Don't move," she called out. Her voice booming and affecting all of the curses around her.
They were all responsive to her call and stopped moving in their tracks.
"Let's make this quick shall we," she continued taking off her glasses. Her voice echoed once more, "Explode."
One by one the curses exploded like fireworks around her. Blood sprayed everywhere and pieces of the curses scattered all over. Satisfied with her work, she turned back towards Gojo and started walking towards him.
"Come on, that's something they gave me when I first started. They couldn't have just sent Toge to do this by himself?" she yelled.
In that moment, she felt a presence of another curse. She turned around to see a large curse coming towards her. She quickly assumed that this curse was harboring all of the weaker curses, indicating that this curse was most likely a grade one curse or even a special. She quickly got down low and made a run towards the curse. As she got close to it she slid in between the legs of the creature. The creature had two legs and many arms and eyes. It had a menacing grin to it with malicious intent. Tsuki knew that this was going to take a little more than just a few words.
When she got up from the ground, she dusted herself off and gave a smile towards the curse. "Let's have a little fun shall we?"
Little to Yuji's knowledge, while all of this was occurring, Sukuna was watching the fight occur in front of them. Tsuki let out a loud scream once again only pin pointing it to the curse directly. It writhed in agony but quickly shook it off and made another charge towards her. Tsuki dodge out of the way with ease and with a smile she held up her hand making a gun with her fingers.
"Bang," she said and making the movement of firing a gun.
An imaginary bullet hit the curse in the shoulder causing chunks of its flesh to tear apart. Tsuki appeared to be enjoying herself as she took care of the curse piece by piece. She used this as an opportunity to get close to her target. She dashed rushed up next to them and had her face right next to theirs.
"Kneel," she ordered.
The curse complied struggling hard to go against her Curse Speech and knelt down on the ground. In response the curse managed to grab a hold of her hoody and threw her far into the concrete wall. She hit the wall causing a crack within it and landed head first on the ground. She rolled onto her stomach and held her fist on the ground to prop her up.
"Alright, now you deserve it." She got up and dusted herself off. Quickly snapping her head up, she met the curse's eyes. "Welcome to the Banshee's Domain." She let out a loud screech that was different than her previous calls. Everyone was forced to close their eyes as they all were pulled into her domain.
When everyone reopened their eyes, they found themselves standing in shallow water. A single tree stood lit by some sort of moonlight. In the tree were snakes wrapped around the branches representing the Inumaki heritage. Tsuki was nowhere to be seen while the curse was underneath the tree still kneeling on the ground.
"You're in my world now," Tsuki's voice began to echo. "Listen to the sound of my voice and only my voice. Let it ring through your ears and fill your mind."
It was clear that the curse was starting to be put under some form of hypnosis like state. Tsuki appeared on the top branch of the tree swinging her legs. She jumped down in front of the curse and pointed towards it. With a smile she said, "Hang." Snakes from the tree wrapped themselves around the throat of the curse and turned into a rope. The rope was tied to the tree and began to lift the curse to strangle it.
She pointed at the feet of the curse and with a smile said, "Burn."
Blue flames began to emit from the feet of the curse and start to engulf the body. The curse tried to let out screams of agony but couldn't. Tsuki began to laugh at the torment she was causing the curse finding amusement in the situation that it was in.
"Pathetic," she said stopping her laugh. "Drop and extinguish."
The curse fell from the tree and the blue flames were put out immediately. She approached the curse and grabbed its head staring into its eyes. She could feel a slight sense of fear coming from the curse.
"Die," she sternly said.
Blood was spat out from the curse's mouth as it collapsed into the waters below. It sunk into the water and disappeared. Tsuki dropped the domain and immediately started having a coughing fit.
As Tsuki was trying to wait for the fit to stop, Sukuna spoke to Yuji, "Let me take control for just a moment."
"What no way," Yuji replied.
"I just want to have a little chat with her."
"No, not allowed," Yuji went on as Nobara and Megumi took notice.
Gojo patted Yuji on the shoulder, "Well if it's just for a chat. Besides I'm here."
"No, don't listen to him," Megumi was quick to respond.
"Only for a chat, don't do anything." Yuji complied.
Sukuna let out a bit of a laugh as he started taking over Yuji's body. Black tribal markings appeared on what was now Sukuna's face and body. A second pair of eyes opened where the scar like lines of Yuji's face were. He calmly began to make his approach towards Tsuki as the others remained on high alert. Tsuki just getting over her coughing fit, was quick to see Sukuna coming her way. Already breaking his word, he went in for an attack towards her. Tsuki utilized what she had learned in the past and dodged the attack with ease. She noticed that he wasn't anticipating that and continued a barrage of attacks. One after another, Tsuki just played the defensive game and dodged all attacks.
It wasn't until Tsuki lost her footing in a cough that allowed Sukuna to sweep her feet and make her fall. He quickly grabbed her by the throat prompting Nobara and Megumi to move. Gojo was also prepared to make a move taking his glasses off.
Tsuki was able to turn her head and called out, "Stop!"
Nobara and Megumi were forced to comply, but the words had no effect on Gojo. However, out of respect he stopped as well.
"Wait…if he is holding her throat down, she shouldn't even be able to make a sound," Nobara realized.
"I just wanted to have a little chat with you. That's all," Sukuna said with his hand gently pushing down on Tsuki's throat.
"If all you wanted to do was chat then Get off." Immediately Tsuki felt a strain in her throat from the words. There was a slight taste of iron in her mouth which was not a good sign. However, after making her order Sukuna proceeded to let go.
"I'd say I'm sorry, but you have to admit it was a little fun. How about it, you seemed to have enjoyed torturing that curse back there. I happened to like what I saw," he held out his hand.
Realizing what was actually going on Tsuki couldn't help but to feel her eye twitch. She really didn't want to believe what she was hearing and yet here he was with his hand out. She looked at his hand and back at his face. She proceed to grab his hand and he helped her back on her feet.
"First of all, you're a way too old for me. Second of all, your vessel is a little young don't you think," she replied to him and pulled her hand away. She turned to walk back towards the others appearing to not have been fazed by what Sukuna was asking.
He grabbed her arm, "Don't be like that. Let's make a deal. A binding vow if you will. I will find a more suitable vessel for you to be my partner of fun so to speak."
Tuski once again, "Let go" feeling what felt like scratches in her throat causing her to keel over in coughs again. Sukuna firmly held onto her arm but eventually let go with a displeased look on her face.
Annoyed Tsuki continued without thinking, "Blast Away,"
Sukuna was blasted away from her order and was sent flying across the courtyard. However, there was a large amount of recoil that happened to Tsuki due to the power difference. She dropped to the ground and began to cough large amounts of blood. She held onto her throat as the pain was piercing at each cough. It was a dumb mistake but she had no regrets. Gojo was quick to run to her aid and pulled out a bottle of cough syrup he had brought with him. He handed her a rag to keep coughing into it as Sukuna pulled himself from the rubble that he created. Gojo readied himself as Sukuna approached them. Before either were able to do anything, Tsuki grabbed Gojo's arm and pulled herself up.
In an extremely hoarse voice she said, "Let's pick up next time Sukuna. When I feel I'm at one hundred percent." With blood covered lips, she let a smile towards him slip.
"Very well," Sukuna replied with a smile and returned Yuji's body to him.
Tsuki slumped into Gojo's arms in exhaustion from over exerting her Curse Speech. He picked her up from her feet and carried her back to the car. He gestured for the others to get in and he drove them all to the dorms where Tsuki would receive aid.
It was an interesting start to the new beginning that Tsukishima had set for herself. First day in her brother was already back in her life and was willing to start over. She had rekindled her friendship with someone she felt the most comfortable with but also was put in a very intimidating situation with the King of Curses coming after her. With her voice gone for the next little bit, Tsuki needed to speak with the others somehow on what went down.
