DISCLAIMER: I don't own Miraculous, which belongs to Thomas Astruc, Zagtoons, and Method Animation. Furthermore, some dialogue borrowed directly from the episode "The Collector" (Season 2).
SUMMARY: Imagine a parallel universe where NOBODY has any of the same akumatized forms as in canon. What new akumatized forms might they take, and what superpowers might they have?
"Extreme Butterfly Effect, or Ultimate Akuma Swap"

A tip of the hat to EpicNerd, whose story "The Epic of Paris" might have inspired this.
Also thanks to AgresteBug for suggesting a humorous bit of dialogue regarding this akumatized villain's appearance.
Marinette was anxiously waiting for Adrien to show up at the movie theater. The rest of their class was gathered there, all of them waiting for him.
When Adrien had floated the idea of seeing the movie Solitudes which his own mother had starred in, on the one day it would be shown in a movie theater here in Paris, the rest of the class had enthusiastically agreed. All of them wanted to watch a rare old movie, but some of them had had additional reasons to watch this movie: Nino wanted to help Adrien see it in theaters to stick it to his tyrannical father Gabriel, Chloé wanted to see her "Tante Emilie" on the big screen, and Rose in particular wanted to forget her recent akumatization as "Cherubisou" (a love-themed angel-like akuma who tried spreading love all over Paris).
These days, everybody was looking any kind of respite from the reign of terror imposed by Hawk Moth. Even Chloé still had some nightmares every now and then from when she was the first to get akumatized, and when she terrorized the city as the tyrannical "Parisiencesse" (a royalty-themed akuma who tried to make others follow her orders and obey her every command).
But presently…
"Hey, girl, don't look now, but here he comes," Alya said suddenly, giving her best friend a wink and a nod.
True enough, here came Adrien, looking happy and delighted to see his friends again. They all hailed him like a returning hero, and he took it all in stride. After he gracefully accepted a nice big hug from Chloé (she was trying to tone it down after Adrien had threatened to end their friendship if she didn't change her ways), he sought out Marinette in particular.
"Thank you so much for putting all this together, Marinette!" he told her with a nice big smile. "You even managed to get us all together on the weekend!"
"Of course, Adrien, just doing my part!" she happily chirped, sounding a little smitten. "Anything for fry mends — uh, I mean my friends! Yeah, my friends!"
If Adrien noticed her verbal slip-up, then he didn't comment on it or even show it. "Well, thanks again, Marinette," he said to her, smiling. "Come on, let's go get tickets and snacks and whatever else we need!"
And as the rest of them went inside, Marinette hung back for a bit to pull herself together.
"Um, Marinette, I know you want to snuggle with Adrien during a movie, but maybe we should save that for another time," Alya whispered to Marinette. "You don't look like you can take it right now."
Marinette sighed, slumping in place. "Yeah, I know," she said quietly.
"Like I said, another time," Alya said reassuringly, patting her best friend's shoulder and rubbing her back. "In the meantime, let him watch this super-rare movie with his mom in it. Let him be happy."
"Yeah, you're right," she said, standing up straight and smiling again. The thought of making Adrien happy certainly made her feel happy. "Well, come on, let's go watch the movie!"
In his manor, Gabriel Agreste was furious.
The smartphone playing continued playing the piano music through the small speakers, as if mocking him.
Enraged, he grabbed the smartphone and yanked it from its port, and with strength which surprised both Nathalie and The Gorilla behind him, he bent it and snapped it in half. After flinging the broken device across the room, he then did the same with the miniature speakers. And once those were broken, he went to work on the piano…
After destroying a good number of objects in and around Adrien's room, Gabriel finally turned around and said to his two underlings, "Well, what are you waiting for! Go find my son!" And as they scurried off to carry out his orders, he added: "And don't come back until you do!"
Once they were gone from the premises, he smirked and went straight to his office… and the secret passage to his hidden lair.
…Although he also stopped along the way just to take that framed picture which a much younger Adrien had done of their family.
"Master?" a small voice said worriedly as he ascended into the room where he kept all his butterflies. "What are you doing?"
"Oh, you'll see, Nooroo," he said smugly, side-glancing at the small butterfly kwami.
After Gabriel Agreste transformed into Hawk Moth, he started with his usual routine.
"I feel… the wrath of a father betrayed by his son!" he monologued. "What perfect prey for my akuma."
But after he created yet another akuma by infusing a pure white butterfly with that dark energy, he then commanded, "Stay close, my little akuma!"
And as the akuma stopped at the window and then turned around, Hawk Moth dropped the transformation and became Gabriel Agreste again.
As the akuma fluttered back towards him, Nooroo spoke up: "Uh… why is the akuma still here?"
Removing his necktie, Gabriel replied, "I must become someone else, to lead them astray."
"I don't understand, Master," Nooroo said as Gabriel removed the Butterfly Miraculous from his person.
"Nooroo," he said holding up the Butterfly Brooch, "I renounce you!" And after Nooroo was sucked back into his Miraculous and Gabriel closed the box which now contained it, he then added: "Temporarily."
And with that, he retrieved that framed photo of Adrien's childhood drawing and held it tight.
"Come to me, my little akuma, and evilize me!"
And so it merged with that framed picture, and from there roiling dark purple smoke spread all over his entire body…
And when the akumatization process was finally complete, a new and transformed Gabriel Agreste stood there. He looked just like he ordinarily would, except for now how the frames of his glasses looked like butterfly wings.
"I am… Haute Coutitan!" he declared, striking a pose. "My disobedient son has run off on me yet again! Well, now I will find him… and perhaps I will pick up a Miraculous or two while I'm at it!"
And with that, he let out a round of evil laughter as he departed from his secret lair.
He needed to go outside first, because the last thing he wanted to do was to utilize his new superpowers inside his own secret lair…
All of Paris felt it before any of her citizens really saw it: A giant monster stomping across the city.
…Well, not exactly a giant monster, but more of a giant man.
Gabriel Agreste, who by now was as tall as the Arc de Troimphe if not taller, stormed across Paris. He was dressed mostly the same as his normal attire, except now it was somehow "flashier" as if he was dressed for a special occasion like a fashion show. And, of course, there was Hawk Moth's butterfly sigil in at least one place on his person: His glasses now had their frames reshaped to look like a butterfly's wings.
And right now, his normally composed and expressionless face was now twisted in fury as he shouted one name over and over again:
"ADRIEN!"
As he strode along the streets of Paris, forcing people and vehicles to hastily get out of the way, he kept calling for his son.
"Where are you, young man!?" he demanded. "Show yourself this instant! I am Haute Coutitan, and I will not allow my fashion line to be upended by the disobedience of my own son!"
And out of his line of sight, Paris' two local superheroes met up behind a building to hide and figure out a plan.
This time around, Ladybug was the first to comment on it: "Well, what do you know, Hawk Moth has gained a sense of style."
"Or maybe Gabriel Agreste just refused to leave his house looking like just another akuma," Cat Noir replied as a witty remark.
"So, any idea where the akuma is hiding?" Ladybug said, still focusing on Haute Coutitan as he wrathfully stalked the city streets of Paris.
"Well, I think maybe I saw something dark tucked into his jacket," Cat Noir said, rubbing his chin as he thought about it.
"YOU!" a new voice roared, and both of them looked up to see Haute Coutitan looming over them and glaring down at them.
Both of them jumped off to the side just in time as their giant nemesis brought down a large hand, making a larger hole in that building's roof as well as making the rest of that entire building shake.
But Ladybug and Cat Noir weren't scared; they had already defeated lots of akumatized villains before, and this would be no different…
As the Haute Coutitan bout raged on, a white portal opened in a random back alley, and a young woman dressed in a light blue and white rabbit costume popped out of it.
"Amazing, isn't it?" she said aloud with a sigh, and to nobody in particular. "One little change… one little flap of some butterfly's wings… and everything changes. This isn't like the 'normal' timeline, Gabriel Agreste became The Collector, where Rose Lavaillant became Princess Fragrance before that, all the way back to Ivan being the first akuma as Stoneheart instead of it being Chloé as Parisiencess… but otherwise, it's still the same: Hawk Moth creates an akuma, Ladybug and Cat Noir save the day, and the cycle starts all over again. Rinse, lather, repeat."
Collecting her thoughts and getting her bearings, Bunnix gripped her parasol tighter and hopped up the wall to that building's roof and made herself comfortable to watch and observe the fight. "I wonder how all this will play out in the end…"
AUTHOR'S NOTES: So yeah, imagine such an AU, where NOBODY has the same akuma persona (a.k.a. "akuma-sona") as in canon, and EVERYBODY has something different. In this case, instead of becoming "The Collector," Gabriel Agreste akumatizes himself into "Haute Coutitan" (his name being a pun, a portmanteau of "haute couture" and "Titan"). I figured, since Gabriel Agreste already thinks he's larger than life anyway, then why not make it official? :P
As for the thing with Rose, I got "Cherubisou" from the word "cherub" (like the little angel) and bisou (the French word for "kiss"). "Parisiencesse" is a portmanteau of the French words Parsienne and princesse (pretty self-explanatory).
In hindsight, I could've done this with my crossover story "Butterfly Effect Elsewhere" (emphasis on the words "Butterfly Effect" right there in the title), but oh well, too late now. I'll just stick to my original idea for that story, in that almost none of the akumas which Chloé caused in canon will appear there, plus a few others which I don't particularly like with also be removed, and lots of OC villains will replace those which have been removed. (Um, go check out that other story of mine? Please?)
!IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
So, I've been thinking of making this an actual event, something like "Extreme Power Swap AU-gust" or "Butterfly Effect AU-gust" — how about it, would anybody be interested in partaking in such an event? Post one chapter a day every day for the month of August where we see a canon character get something totally different than what we've seen in canon? And yes, that includes canon characters who still haven't been akumatized yet (by my count, that includes: Marinette's Mom, Alya's Mom, Lila's Mom, Alix's Dad, Mireille Caquet, Alec Cataldi, Bob Roth, XY, that still-unnamed art teacher from the "Reverser" episode, etc.).
How about it? Anybody interested in such an event? If so, then please let me know and I'll post something about it online!
