Lily had just gotten back from preschool and ran up the stairs to her room when she saw something that shocked her, her crib was no longer there! She looked everywhere in her room for it but it was gone her crib was nowhere to be found. Worried that someone might have stole it she ran back downstairs to her mother, Rita who was in the living room saw Lily running downstairs waited for Lily to get closer and picked her up wanting to know why her youngest child was running downstairs in such a hurry. "What's wrong sweety?" Rita cooed as she held Lily up in the air so she was face to face with her. "Someone stole my cwib!" Lily yelled out as quickly as she could hoping that her mommy would help her find out who stole her crib. Rita at first was a bit confused about why Lily thought her crib was stolen, but she soon realized why Lily thought it was stolen. "Lily I'm sorry we didn't tell you, but since your a big girl now me and your father both decided it's time for you to sleep in a big girl bed."
Lily was completely shocked, why would they get rid of her crib? She loved sleeping in it, she always slept in her crib, that was just how things were. She didn't want to sleep in a bed, what would protect her from the boogie man now? "No! me don't wanna, me want my cwib back!" Lily just kicking her legs and flailing her arms. "Lily I'm sorry but this isn't up for discussion your no longer sleeping in a crib and that's final." Rita told Lily who looked at her and pouted, "but why?" Lily asked pouting. Rita looked at her daughter and sighed, "Lily can I tell you a secret?" Rita asked whispering into Lily's ear, Lily was now filled with curiosity she wanted to know what the secret was. Seeing her daughter curiosity Rita carried Lily up to her room and made sure nobody was listening in.
Lily was wondering what the secret was, it had to be a big one for her mommy to not want anyone to know, Lily was lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice Rita set her down on the floor next to her blocks she loved to play with. "Lily promise me you won't tell anyone okay," Rita asked Lily who nodded her head yes, Rita trusted Lily enough to not tell anyone and she didn't really have any other options she did tell Lily she would tell her about her secret. "The reason you can't sleep in a crib anymore is because, you're going to be a big sister soon." Now filled with excitement Lily began to smile with glee, she was going to be a big sister, she couldn't wait to see her new sibling. "Where is it, where's my little sibling?" Lily asked causing Rita to chuckle at Lily's cute innocence, "It won't be for a couple of months, Lily but I promise I'll let you see them before any of your siblings." Rita told Lily, who was just happy that she was now going to be a big sister. Seeing Lily smiling Rita left the room she was happy her youngest daughter took the news so well.
A couple hours later it was now bed time, and unfortunately for Lily, Lisa wasn't their she was at Michigan University giving a speech, laying down in her new big girl bed, Lily couldn't fall asleep, she was scared that the boogie man would get her if she fell asleep, thinking about what to do, Lily got an idea, Getting off her bed Lily as quiet as a mouse left her room until she reached one of her siblings room, and luckily for her the door was open, walking into the room Lily saw Lucy and Lynn were both asleep. "Wynn wake up." Lily said pulling Lynn's hair, it took a while but soon Lynn woke up annoyed. "Lily, what do you want?" Lynn asked Lily wanting to go back to sleep. "I can't sleep Wynn the boogie man is under my bed." Lily said shaking showing Lynn that she was afraid of the boogie man. "Don't worry I'll make sure he learns not to mess with my little sister." Lynn said ruffling Lily's hair, before walking over to Lily and Lisa's room with Lily holding on tightly to Lynn. When they were near Lily's brand new bed, Lynn let Lily go dropping her on the toddler bed.
Lily could hear Lynn under her bed and she was starting to get a little worried, she knew Lynn was the toughest and strongest out of all of her siblings but she didn't know if even she could face the boogie man. "and take this." Lynn said from under Lily's toddler bed punching the ground. Lily waited hoping for the best and luckily for her she saw Lynn crawl out from under the bed dusting herself off, "He's gone Lily, I made sure he won't ever come back to bother you ever again." Lynn began to walk out of the room when Lily grabbed her by the leg, "Wynn, can you sleep with me?" Lily asked innocently, Pwease." Lynn couldn't help but agree to sleep with Lily especially after she saw Lily's puppy eyes. "Scoot over." Lynn said laying down on Lily's toddler bed next to her youngest sister. Lily smiling with joy hugged Lynn, soon the two of them feel fast asleep laying down next to each other.
Lynn Sr and Lisa had just gotten back from the university, Lisa was fast asleep having had fallen asleep during the ride back, so Lynn Sr picked up his daughter and began to carry her up to her room. Quietly opening the door he couldn't help but smile at the scene in front of him seeing two of his daughters laying down next to each other. Heading into the room he let Lisa down on her bed kissing her on the forehead before doing the same thing to his other two daughters who were in the room than he slowly and quietly walked out of the room quietly shutting the door being careful not to accidentally wake them up.
