Dry Bowser was going around driving at the Airship Fortress in his Koopa King vehicle when he was suddenly pushed to the side by Funky Kong riding in his Rambi Rider, the heavyweight characters both being in the lead for they noticed a smash battle going on in the distance.
"What the funk?" Funky Kong questioned while adjusting his sunglasses briefly in a stunned display. "Why are they having their battle here?"
"Good question." Dry Bowser murmured while both of them went gliding about in the air towards the spiraling fortress surrounded by the airships in molten lava. "Perhaps they ran out of budget due to fixing up all their official stages.
"Well so long that it doesn't come here I think it'll be fine." Funky shrugged for he proceeded to take the lead only to get knocked out by a giant green Bowser Shell, glaring at the dry reptile racing by him. "Seriously dude?"
"You're doing too much talking again." Dry Bowser chuckled for he was suddenly spinning around due to colliding from bananas due to the funky Kong using his Banana Cannons to fire out the yellow ripe fruit around on the track.
