Ulrich362: Admittedly it was a combination of three factors that made me think of it. Those being Zuzu's declaration to Julia, Varis' statement to Gore, and confirming it worked the way I thought on EDOPro.

It was the first day of Paradise City's Arc-League Championship and Frederick, a student of the You Show Duel School, had just managed to win the first duel of the competition using his Doodle Beast Tyranno. And right now it is Allie's turn against someone from the Leo Institute named Riley.
"Do your best Allie." Tate smiled to her.
Allie smiled before hearing, "Hey! Sweetie-pie! Over here!" she turned over confused seeing her father holding a camera to her before smiling waving to the camera, "Isn't she adorable?"
"Dear, don't distract her." her mother mentioned only for Allie to smile and wave to them before running out to the field.
"Is she the cutest warrior you've ever seen or what?" Allie's father smiled enthusiastically as Allie stepped forward.
"Look at the fire in Allie's eyes as she marches forward! And Riley..." Joy smiled turning to Riley before she noticed Riley isn't moving, and walked over, "It'll be okay. Feeling a bit nervous, are we?"
Riley flinched at this which You Show caught.
"Poor Riley. Must have stage fright." Zuzu said worried to her.
"Yeah, it is a huge tournament." Yuya agreed. "Hopefully Allie can help him."
He turned over to Joy handing a stuff bear that her he was holding, "Watch Beary."
"Uh, sure." Joy said confused Riley stepped over.
Allie looked excited to duel only to pause noticing Riley looked like he wasn't motivated. Riley was activating his Duel Disk even with that.
"Is he going to be ok?" Yuya asked seeing that.
"Yeah. Allie will show him how to have fun." Zuzu answered.
"And it looks like the Action Field these two young duelists will face off on is Sun Valley." Joy announced.

Riley said to her, "I'm ready to duel when you are..."
"Awesome! 'Cause I can't wait to wow this crowd!" Allie continued.

"Thank you, but a little enthusiasm wouldn't hurt, you know." Allie told her a bit irritated hearing Riley isn't cheerful, "Ready...!"

A rush of water charged from the cliff, and from the left as Sun Valley was consumed by it but since it was a hologram it didn't effect the oxygen that Riley, and Allie can breath. Guppy started to bubble around happily feeling the cool water on her.
"Does that feel better?" Allie asked as Guppy nodded happily. "Plus thanks to this spell you can't be destroyed unless a Water monster attacks, and I have two more spells to make you even happier. Aquarium Set gives all my Aquaactress monsters 600 more attack points, and Aquarium Lightning means when they battle another monster my Aquaatress monsters double in attack points."

A small white temple with some shells, and starfish appeared along with balls of light appeared shining on Guppy. Allie smiled seeing that. "Ok, now Guppy attack!"
"ERROR!" her Duel Disk blurted out.
"Huh?" Allie asked in confusion. "What happened?"
Her mother called from the sidelines, "Remember Allie, this is the first turn of the duel!"
"Which means that you can't battle yet!" Zuzu added for her.
"Oh yeah, oops." Allie blushed. "Ok, I set this and end my turn."

A camera like mask appeared before taking a picture of Gubby materializing as one with the mask on.

"Wait, but if it's a copy of Guppy so doesn't it get stronger?" Tate asked.
Guppy bubbled confusingly swimming in front of Shutter Layer 1's version as it mimic her movements as Riley added, "And due to your Set, it gains 600 points."

"A real mirror image." Yuya commented.

A blue fish like Guppy rose up bubbling happily. Allie got on Tetra's back as they swam around the field before she noticed and grabbed a card. "Guppy attack, and I'll make it even brighter with Sunshine Smile."

Tetra charged a water blast striking Riley. (Riley: 2300/Hand: 4)
"Your turn." Allie smiled.
"She started off a little shaky but Allie's doing a great job." Yuya smiled.

"Huh, what happened?" Allie asked in confusion.
"All the cards on your field can't be effected by your cards." Riley answered.
Allie's eyes widened in shock at that.
"Wait, but if Allie's cards won't work that means she's at a huge disadvantage." Tate realized.
"I then activate Shutter Layer 1." Riley said as a second camera mask appeared before becoming Guppy again.

"Now attack Guppy! Attack Tetra!" Riley called as her monster charged to attack the weakest monster on the field, "Lighting's effect doubles my Guppy's points during battle."

Tetra was destroyed as Allie braced herself from the attack.

She was pushed against the ground at this trying to stand back up.
"Allie!" her parents cried concerned.
"It's gonna be okay Allie!" Zuzu called.
"Hang in there!" Skip cheered. "Fight back!"
She looked to see her friends, and family are cheering for her. Allie looked on before smiling, "They're right. I may be down, but that doesn't mean I'm out of this duel! I'm a You Show Student! And when the going gets tough, the tough get dueling! Watch out!"
She stood up drawing.

Instant Shutter got a picture before materializing as Arowana behind her.

"Oh no, if this attack continues Allie loses!" Zuzu cried in shock.
"Allie do something!" Tate cried.
"I play my own trap, Aqua Story - Urashima!" Allie called.

Arowana grew old at this weakened. Allie's copy of Arowana destroyed Riley's. Riley stepped back from the force. (Riley: 0400/Hand: 3)

Riley said seeing what he drawn this time was a monster as his eyes widen before looking up seeing the Madame Chairwoman, Henrietta along with Declan was spectating from a glass window staring at him intently which he closed his eyes before opening them which Allie noticed they now carry a fire, "I summon C/C Critical Eye!"
At that a fiendish monster with a eye on it's body rose up.

"So now this spell takes a picture of Arowana, and fuse it with Critical Eye!" Riley declared as the camera took a picture of Arowana before it, and C/C Critical Eye flew up entering the Fusion Vortex as everyone watched in shock.
"Supreme ruler of the river of shining scales! Dwell in this eye and give me your power! Fusion Summon! Appear now! The sword of water which slices through everything! C/C/C Water Sword of Battle!"
What rose was a pearl like disk which seems to have a blue sword embedded to it with several gemstones around it.

"This is bad, it's stronger than Arowana. Allie needs a miracle to turn this duel around." Tate mentioned.
'A miracle?' Allie thought hearing that before looking around only to notice something under a rock and start running towards it.
"And now Water Sword attack Arowana!" Riley called as Water Sword detached charging at Arowana, "Then due to Water Sword's effect it gains attack points equal to all other Water monsters on the field!"
Water Sword: (ATK: 2400 + 2000 = 4400)
It reached Arowana attacking her.
SLICE!
Arowana blinked for a second before an explosion happened where she's at while Water Sword flew back which Riley sigh, "Glad that's over..." He turned to walk off back to Joy.
"Where are you going?" asked a voice from the smoke created from Arowana's explosion.
"Huh?" Riley looked from his shoulder as they see the smoke cleared seeing Allie with a smile. (Allie: 0700/Hand: 0) Widening his eyes Riley cried, "What!? But the attack hit, and you should've taken 2400 points of damage!"
"I almost did, but just before the attack hit I found this." Allie answered revealing a copy of Miracle next to her.

"Miracle! That keeps Arowana from being destroyed, and she survived!" Tate cried with a smile as the smoke cleared showing Arowana is destroyed, "Huh?"
"Shutter Layer 2 didn't had Miracle protect Arowana. She must've used it on Water Sword so it can cut the damage in half." Yuya said seeing that.
"That's amazing." Frederick cheered.
"That was amazing Allie." Zuzu smiled.
Riley stepped back looking shocked before saying, "I... I end my turn."
As he said that Water Sword destroyed itself.
"Huh, why did your monster destroy itself?" Allie asked in confusion.
"The different forms of C/C Critical Eye... Don't last long." Riley admitted.

Allie smiled before running over to Riley. "That was a great duel, it was a lot of fun."
She noticed Riley looked a bit fearful looking past her. Blinking she turned to see what he was looking at. It was Declan, and Henrietta watching with Henrietta looking irritated before walking off ordering someone something she couldn't hear. Allie frowned at that before turning to Riley. "Are you ok?"
Riley was looking down, "I disappointed Madame Chairwoman..."
"What?" Allie asked in shock. "How can you have let anyone down? That was an amazing duel."
"She has no time for failures." Riley stood up as he said that turning around, "Good job." He walked to Joy to retrieve his bear.
Allie frowned before looking back up where Declan was watching only to run over to her You Show classmates. "Guys, something's wrong."
"What is it Allie?" Yuya asked confused.
"I think Mrs. Akaba is mad at Riley for losing, can we do anything?" she asked him.
"Why would she be mad if he did real well?" Zuzu asked hearing that.
"I don't know but I'm worried." Allie frowned.
Meanwhile...
Riley was in his room looking down with his bear with him before the door opened as he looked seeing Henrietta walking in. He flinched at that. "Mom I..."
"I don't want to hear it." she closed the door with irritated eyes, "I can't believe you had allowed that girl who's lower then Obelisk Force defeat you like that. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Riley flinched at that and started shaking in fear. Seeing that Henrietta sighed in annoyance before saying, "I didn't take you in to be a blundering solider, and now due to what had happened I now see you were only a waste of talent. Your a disgrace to the Akaba name, Riley, and you don't belong here."
Riley's eyes widened in horror hearing that.
"You're simply incorrect mother." stated a male voice.
"This doesn't concern you now Declan. Wait outside." Henrietta ordered.
"Riley's opponent performed a move nearly any duelist would never expect." Declan told her calmly. "I count myself among that number."
"Still Riley was suppose to be the perfect Duel Solider, and she should've had something to counter that attack but what she did was just stand there, and done nothing." Henrietta pointed out.
Declan frowned at that. "Tell me Riley, would the same move defeat you again?"
Riley at that shake a little before shaking his head.
"I for one would not take a chance if something like that will happen again." Henrietta glared, "So I'm getting rid of this loose end." She walked out telling Riley, "Start packing, Riley, your no longer an Akaba."
That made Riley look down saddened. Declan frowned at that before closing his eyes before walking out of the room himself. Before he can Riley said, "Declan?" He stopped not turning as he said, "...Did I let you down?"
"It's just as I told her, even I would have been caught off guard by that kind of move." Declan answered. "You haven't yet, but whether or not you let me down will be decided by what you do next."
With that he walked off as Riley looked down closing his eyes hugging his bear before he looked at his Duel Disk checking his contacts pressing to call Allie. Meanwhile Declan walked back to the viewing window. "Claude, I have a favor to ask you."
Claude walked over asking, "What is it Mr. Akaba?"
Declan turned to the field. "I'd like you... to escort Yoko Sakaki here so I can talk with her."
"Yuya Sakaki's mother?" Claude asked him, "Should I tell her the reason why?"
"I'll explain when she gets here." Declan answered.
Claude nodded walking out exiting the building looking at his GPS walking the city before arriving at the Sakaki Household knocking on the door. The door opened as Yoko blinked in surprise. "Yes?"
"My name is Claude, Mr. Declan Akaba's assistance, and he wishes to talk to you." Claude explained.
"Declan Akaba?" Yoko asked suspiciously before nodding. 'What would he have to talk with me about?'
Claude guided Yoko to the LID Building heading up before knocking on the door, "Mr. President she's here."
"Mrs. Sakaki, please come in." Declan mentioned calmly.
Yoko entered after Claude opened the door which he closed behind her as she sat down in front of Declan's Desk asking, "So Mr. Akaba... What do you want to talk to me about? Is this to exploit Pendulum Summoning more?"
Declan frowned at that. "This has nothing to do with Pendulum Summoning or dueling in any way. I assume you're been watching the championship thus far?"
"From home yes, and I seen that You Show had beaten one of your students." Yoko answered.
"Yes well, that's why I asked you here." Declan noted before frowning. "I'd like to request you adopt a child."
That surprised Yoko which made her blink.
"I can't go into detail, but Riley's loss convinced my mother to disown her from our family." Declan explained before frowning.
"Why would she do something as stupid as that?" Yoko asked feeling outraged, "It was just a duel."
"My mother doesn't see it the same way." Declan noted calmly. "As of today Riley is no longer a member of the Akaba family."
"Well I would-"
Knock Knock Knock.
"Mr. President? I'm sorry to interrupt but Riley asked me to give you this." Claude said walking in handing Declan a letter.
Blinking he took it and opened it.
"Declan.
I'm sorry, I had lost that match but I want to make you proud what I can. So I decided that I should chose how to live my life now. I haven't left yet but I invited Allie over so I can talk to her before then. Please don't be mad at me for this but, I think I should be with Allie now on so I can still help the Lancers against Duel Academy, and make you proud one day.
Signed, Riley."
His eyes widened slightly. "There's been a change of plans, you can go home Mrs. Sakaki."
Yoko blinked before nodding standing up saying, "Just call me when you want to talk about it again." She left the office at that.
Declan frowned before looking at the letter again.
Ulrich362: I didn't see that coming.
bopdog111: It would make sense since in Henrietta's view, they had lost their greatest weapon before the invasion can happen. Besides let's be honest she's not really likeable anyway.
Ulrich362: Point taken, though you'd think Declan admitting even he could be caught off guard by that kind of unexpected move would change her mind. I guess not though.
bopdog111: From several videos on YouTube that shows animated stories that are true, even parents would stoop that low from stealing money, to kicking their children out, and even telling them to pay their parent's rent as 10 year olds while saying she's not doing anything wrong which is disgusting to know how many people like that are around. And it looks like it wouldn't be a one shot with the way it is now.
