Okay so I'll just say it now, I am completely innocent in this. I don't know how I got here or why it's so bright in a cave of all things. Why in a cave of all places? And even still on that note why does it have to be so Blindingly blue. Out of all colors, this one just pops straight out. But hey maybe that's just the sleeping on a cave floor getting to me.
But once I got my vision back and could see the details here, this place looked more… like a hideout than a cave. Doesn't help me out all but it's all I got.
Doesn't help my beating heart, or the fact that breathing just got harder for me, or even the fact that I'm looking all around the place. or even th-
Stop. go ahead and stop while your ahead. cmon you know what to do, in and out, in and out.
Okay, alright since my little panic thing is done let me find some way ou-
Thump thump thump
Footsteps get my attention as I snap my head towards my left and scramble to my feet. Finally getting a look on this side of the cave/hideout I see some kind of… Water bed? Tube? Something with water where you lie down in. A weird-looking stone monument with some elf-looking guy, markings on the walls, more blu-
Hold on, elf-looking guy?
When I turn my head back to face him he's already looking back at me. In his hands some kind of, tablet? Yeah, I guess that would be the right word for it. Also he, for some odd reason, is just not wearing pants or a shirt.

Staring contest? I mean it gives me some time to think. And I notice something immediately. Compared to me he's pretty… short? Somewhere around 5'7ish (1.70m for anyone else). Yeah, that'll work. And he's waving at me now.
"Un," The Elf-looking guy said as he pointed to the gaping hole leading to some type of hallway. Then with another glance, he started walking.
"Okay? Guess I'm following you?" I say with just a minor hint of confusion in my voice. Following after the guy we just kind of walk in silence for the next couple of feet.

Alright, I'm asking the question.
"So why are you only in underwear?"
He pauses to look around as we enter a new room covered in dust, broken barrels, and two chests? Looks himself up and down, and turns to me to shrug his shoulders. Then he just continues to walk forward to one of the chests. Which for some reason, has pants in them. Not stopping he pulls out the contents of the other chest which is, to both our confusion, a shirt.

"Well then it looks like your name is lucky from now on then." is all I can manage to say from the pure coincidence that just happened in front of me. Ignoring that we continue to venture forth in the unused room into another panel thing.
After putting on the clothes he seems to look back at me probably to gesture something. He stops and snaps his head all around the place. Looking for something and just as quickly as he does he stands and stares at the panel. Ever so slowly he walks towards it.
Worried I say "Hey lucky? You alright? Way you were looking around made me think you heard something." speeding up just a bit towards him. Watching as he pulls out the weird-looking tablet, and place it on the panel.
Nothing, then suddenly brightness.
I had to shield my eyes just to see the ground it was so bright. Even still, I can tell he just took that head-on. Watching as the shine of the world calms down and I can finally see the cause of it.
The door in front of us was open now and through it, outside. Feeling myself move again before I speak to the lucky elf guy and say
"Have absolutely, no idea what you did, but good job."
He makes some kind of noise as he starts to move forward and into the tunnel. We don't get very far before yet another thing stops us. This time, not a door, it's a cliff. I mean it's not that high probably about twice my height so not an issue? Hopefully.
"Soo how we getting past this one. Got any more tricks in up your sleeve? Well… what's left of that sleeve anyway." I say as I stare down towards him.
In response, and seemingly just to get to me. He walks, up jumps to my height, and is up the cliff in a matter of seconds. Now he's just up there waiting for me.
"Ay, you know what? Fair point. Let's climb a cliff, well more like a wall but you get the point." I said while I finally looked down at myself to see what I'm wearing. Thankfully, however, I got here they at least let me pick the clothes apparently? My hiking boots, A gray hoodie, and my black bomber jacket? Coat? I don't know what's called. And my pants? Just some regular jeans. Still got that brown skin. That's it for me at least.
Done admiring my own beauty I look up and honestly? I could jump half of this. So you know for a fact I tried to. The thing is, while I may be in shape and work out. I don't climb. Free-running? Sure. jumping from place to place? Doable. Climbing a wall with no clear place to set your hands? Sketchy at best.
"AYAh!"
Yeah, that was me. Did I also forget to mention the pool of water behind me? I didn't?
Well, I shouldn't have because that's where I'm heading.
Are at least should have if it wasn't for this person grabbing me with one hand and pulling me the rest of the way up. Now listen, I'm not a big guy but he is at least five inches shorter than I, and his arms don't look beefed up. So either I'm lighter than I thought, or he's just strong for his look.
After pulling me up he pats me down and when he's satisfied he makes a couple of "hmm hmms" and kept walking forward towards the end of the tunnel. Me not being too far behind him since the end of the cave is nothing but a few steps away.
Green. Green is all I can see for miles it looks like. It's… it's an honest, beautiful sight. The trees, grass, flowers, plants, and mushrooms under the trees. It took me more than a moment to take it all in. and then I looked slightly to the right onto the horizon.
A volcano stands tall off into the distance, steeps mountains all around it. Right in front of me, the ground seems to get lower and lower as I look down. And to my left just ever more so slightly.
A castle. Just a castle that from even here on this cliffside, teeming with life. I can tell that it is not the same for them. A castle with four pillars surrounding it with some… goop? Purple goop circling it.
And just then that's when it hits me. I know this place. I've seen this place, I've played this place. Hyrule. Breath of the wild. Legend of Zelda. Link.
Link
Standing to my right is Link, hero of Hyrule who defeats calamity Ganon, reigns the divine beast and saves the day. And here he is on my right with the most tranquil face I've ever seen as he stares into the distance.
Okay, so it's time for an author note I guess. Just so we all know. I don't know how to write a story. Let alone be dedicated to one. Doesn't help that I made this in like three hours of deleting paragraphs and looking up videos of the start of the game.
But yes this is a SI BoTW story. Since again I can't write all that well yet and couldn't come up with an idea for a story I thought. "Huh, what would I do if I was in Botw?" and since I know me (hopefully) I thought why not and here I am giving it a shot.
To be sure it's obvious, any criticism is appreciated because I want to be better at what I do. I would appreciate it if you gave me as much as I need so this story can be better
Don't expect updates since right now is the final month for seniors in Highschool but again, I'll try. Pretty sure that's everything I want to cover so I guess I'll so you when I see you
Oh yeah, by the way, I have no idea where the blue came from. I just remember being blinded every time something blue happened at the start.
