I- uhm- okay. So. I had this Idea per say- Okay, so M and I usually just spitball ideas and uhm- I.. Just read it. HAHAHAH But HEAR ME OUT. It's genius. It is. I mean- I think it's genius.

I don't own Bones.

Come dance with me

"Brennan, come on." Angela pleaded. "You promised one night this month." She added and checked her imaginary watch on her arm. "And it's the 30th of June, which means that this is your last day." Angela concluded with a smile.

"I never promised, Ang." Brennan sighed.

"Ah ah, I remember and I quote 'Fine, Ange. I promise I'll go with you to the club one day this month.' on the third of June you said this." Angela smirked.

Brennan sighed harshly and leaned back in her chair. She had said that and she didn't really have any plans for tonight. Brennan opened her mouth to give in to Angela's plans for the evening when a knock on the door saved her.

"Hiya, Bones." Booth smiled from the doorway. Brennan returned a smile. "You off for the evening?" He asked with the intent of asking her to dinner, as they usually did after a work day.

"Nah, ah, She is mine tonight." Angela interrupted. "You get her every other night of the month, tonight we're going out." She smiled and turned to Brennan. "A new club opened up downtown and I know the owner." She winked.

"But dinner?" Booth pleaded.

"You can eat on your own." Angela muttered. "Call Parker or something, he'll keep you company." She shrugged. "We." Gesturing between herself and Brennan. "Are going out. Without you." She smiled at Booth.

"Kinda rude, don't you think?" Booth turned to Brennan in a joking manner.

"I did promise her a day this month to go to the club.." Brennan sighed and pouted slightly at Booth. "We can go for lunch tomorrow?" She asked in hope of him saying yes.

"Lunch it is." He clapped and smiled. "Take it easy tonight, ladies." He said and walked out of the office.

"You have that man wrapped around your little finger." Angela chuckled and started helping Brennan pack up her belongings.

"It would be physically impossible to have Booth wrapped around my-" Brennan stopped when she saw Angela looking at her in disappointment. "It's an idiom." Brennan sighed and Angela nodded.

"Now let's go. We have to stop by the mall." Angela smiled and pushed Brennan out of her office.

"The mall?" Brennan sighed once more.

"We are gonna look smokin' tonight." Angela wiggled her brows and laughed.

They pulled up to the mall and after they had eaten, Angela dragged Brennan from store to store. She made her try on dress after dress, before they found the perfect black little number to wear with her killer heels.

At Brennan's apartment they got ready with a few glasses of wine before heading out to the new club downtown. The line outside had built up and the music from the club played loud out to the street.

"Come with me." Angela said and pulled Brennan with her. They walked up to the security guard with the VIP list. "Hi, sexy." She winked at him. "Angela Montenegro." She smiled and he glanced down at the list.

He quickly opened the rope and just like that, they were inside. This was the biggest club that Brennan had been to. They had four different dance floors, a second story and over six bars. "This place is amazing." Brennan yelled into Angela's ear to be heard over the music.

"It is." She responded in the same volume. "I had only seen it in early production, they did an amazing job with it." She smiled. Brennan nodded in agreement.

They ordered their drinks and danced until their feet hurt. A few guys had come up to the women but they weren't interested in them. Brennan had someone else in mind and Angela had her on and off relationship with Hodgins.

Around 2am Brennan started to give up on the dance floor and really looked forward to her bed. She felt that they had had a few too many drinks and that she needed to remember to drink water before falling asleep. "Ang.." Brennan called after her friend. "I think it's time to call it a night" Brennan slurred. Angela glanced at her watch.

"You have that date tomorrow." Angela wiggled her Brows. They made their way out of the club.

"It's not a date, it's lunch." Brennan corrected her just as the fresh air hit her face.

"Whatever you say." Angela chuckled and looked through her purse for her phone. "How are you getting home?" She asked her friend.

"I think.." Brennan thought of her alternative's. She could call Booth, but it was two am and she only had a few blocks home. It would take him just as long to drive here, as it would for her to walk the short walk home. "I think I'll walk." Brennan smiled. "I need to sober up before I hit the grass." She added.

"Hit the hay, Sweetie." Angela said and put the phone to her ear. Brennan could hear the person on the other end. "Hey, could you pick me up? Downtown? 4th and 6th? Come on… I would do it for you. I have done it for you. Remember Spring break? Mmhmm. See you in ten." Angela smiled and shut her phone. "That was my ride." She told Brennan.

"Seems like they didn't want to pick you up." Brennan chuckled.

"He owes me big time, the things I've done for him.. It's ridiculous really." Angela scoffed. "I had an amazing time tonight, Sweetie." Angela said and wrapped her arms around her friend.

"I enjoyed myself too." Brennan said into her friend's hair. "I might shock you when I say I would enjoy this again some other time." Angela backed out of the hug and gave her friend a toothy grin.

"One Friday next month?" She asked with a smirk.

"Yes." Brennan smiled. "I promise." She winked.

"A promise. A Temperance Brennan promise, I like that." Angela chuckled.

"I'll see you on monday, ang. Sleep well." Brennan said and turned away from her friend.

"Text me when you get home, okay?" Angela called after her.

"If I remember I will." Brennan called back over her shoulder with a smile.

A few minutes passed before Angela's ride came and she jumped into his car. "What took you so long, Nerd?" She smiled. "Dreaming wet dreams about someone special?" She chuckled and put on her seatbelt.

"I'll kill you in your sleep, you know that?" He scoffed. "Traffic, that's why." He added and blinked into Traffic.

"Mmhmm, like I'm going to believe that" Angela chuckled. "Can I crash on your couch? Thanks." She smiled.

"No hogging my good pillows." He shot back at her with a smile.

"But those are the best." Angela pouted. "I'll steal Junior's. He won't mind." They drove home and Angela made her bed on the couch.

"You okay like that? You don't just wanna take his bed?" He asked her before walking into his own bedroom.

"I'm fine, big guy. Thanks for picking me up." Angela smiled before getting into bed.

"Anything for you." He smiled back at her.

Brennan forgot to text her friend and she forgot to drink water when she came home. She changed into her pyjamas and brushed her teeth. Her phone lit up just as she laid down in bed. She grabbed it and a smile reached her lips.

Did you have a good night out?

She wondered how he knew that she just got home. He always seemed to know everything about her.

It was enjoyable. Danced and took shots.

How did you know the night was over?

And what are you doing up, Booth?

Brennan sent three texts after one another to ask the questions that were bothering her.

Couldn't sleep I guess and call it gut feeling ;)

Sounds like a fun night. Bet you looked like a million dollars and had all the guys after you too.

Brennan furrowed her brows. "A million dollars?" She asked herself in a whisper. A text came in and answered her question before she was able to ask him.

It means that you looked good. Hot even.

You always look good.

Brennan smiled at the texts. They had gotten closer over the past few months. Is this what insects felt like in your stomach? Brennan thought to herself. Without thinking too much about it, and the alcohol in her system worked its magic, she sent a mirror selfie from earlier that night. Angela had insisted on one or two pictures and Brennan had given in after a while and a glass of wine.

Told you. Gorgeous. Absolutely stunning.

She smiled once more at the texts that showed on her screen.

Thank you, Booth. You should come with us next time.

Brennan felt nervous sending her latest text. She was inviting him out. On a date? She questioned.

I'd love to.

Brennan felt the adrenaline of the night leaving her body and suddenly she felt very tired.

I'll see you tomorrow for lunch?

Wouldn't miss it, goodnight, Bones. Sleep well.

Goodnight, Booth. You too.

Brennan put her phone down and she fell asleep instantly. Booth put his phone down and stared at the ceiling with a smile.

Brennan woke up with a pounding headache and a dry mouth. She should have stayed up to drink some water. Her body ached from the intensive dancing that they did last night and the few blocks she walked home.

She pulled herself out of bed and walked to the kitchen to drink water and take some tylenol. Next time she won't drink as much. Brennan drank three cups of water before putting down her glass on the counter.

The clock on the wall made more noise than she was used to and she glanced over. 09.29am. Just enough time to shower, get ready and swing by the diner for some coffee. Brennan pulled herself together and jumped into the shower. She thoroughly washed her body and shaved. The smell from the club was stuck in her hair so she washed it through twice.

When she had gotten out of the shower, brushed her teeth and picked out an outfit, the clock struck 11:00 am. She quickly got dressed and found her purse on the floor beside the sofa. She must have dropped it there when she got home.

Brennan picked up her purse and put on her shoes. She checked one last time so she had everything before she left her apartment.

The traffic to the diner was more than she expected and after a good 30 minutes she finally had her two coffee's in her hands. One with cream and sugar and one black with a splash of sugar. Just how he liked it.

She finally parked in the visitor's spot outside of his apartment at 12.16. Brennan let out a sigh as she pulled out the key from the ignition. She was nervous. Why was she nervous? It was lunch. With Booth. Her Booth. No, not her Booth, just Booth. That's why she was nervous.

Brennan shook her head and got out of the car with the Coffee cups. She locked it and walked up to the elevator. The elevator she had ridden too many times to count. Alone and with Booth. It always felt more special ridning it alone, because she was coming over to see him. She would knock and he would open to invite her into his home. The insects in her stomach were back.

The elevator rang and the doors opened on his floor. She stepped out and walked up to the red door furthest down in the corridor. She put one cup on the other and balanced them on each other as she knocked.

"Coming." A female voice made it through the door. Brennan's entire body froze. She felt out of place. The stupid new blouse she had on and the stupid coffee in her hand. Of course, he had someone over. He had texted her quite late. She thought back to the night before. She had sent him a mirror selfie. Brennan put her hand to her forehead and shook her head. What was she even doing here?

She was about to turn around when the door opened. "You took your damn time, I started sponge-" The female that had opened the door stopped abruptly when she saw who it was. It couldn't be. She wouldn't do that, would she?

"What are you doing here?" Brennan let out in a whisper. She tried to sound put together. Like she just hadn't been run over by a massive truck.

"I- I was just- He-" The woman stuttered. She let out a chuckle and gestured for Brennan to come in.

"Angela, what are you doing in Booth's apartment?" Brennan repeated her question and stepped inside.

"It's not what it looks like, Bren." Angela told her friend when they sat down on the messy couch.

"It looks like-" Brennan was interrupted by Booth opening the front door.

"The traffic is insane today too, is there something special in town?" Booth called out from the door. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Brennan. "Bones, hey." He smiled. "Shoot, it's already lunch time. I was just grabbing some stuff for Parker's game tomorrow that I had to buy today." He explained his absence.

"What did it look like, Bren?" Angela ignored the man.

"Like you two-" Brennan was once again interrupted, but this time it was Angela.

"You thought? That him and I? I'm gonna be sick." Angela shivered. "No, honey no. I promise. Never ever will that happen." She told her friend.

"You thought Ang and I slept together?" Booth asked Brennan.

"From the evidence I can collect from the apartment it looks like it." Brennan told him with the most collected voice she could.

"I'm gonna throw up." Booth covered his mouth.

"Why are the both of you becoming ill?" Brennan asked the pair.

"He's my brother." Angela shivered.

"You're joking." Brennan let out.

"Adoptive brother. But brother nonetheless." Booth told her and put away the bags from his hands.

"How did I not know this?" Brennan asked and furrowed her brows.

"Because artsy over there changed her last name to look cool in art school." Booth mocked his sister.

"Oh shut up, mom and dad were okay with it. Angela Booth doesn't sound right anyways." Angela scoffed.
