"They're lying." The thought was desperate as she mentally scrabbled for ground that was steadily falling from under her.

Her head tilted back as she let out a scream. The sound echoed as her mind fractured further.

"Weiss!" The cry was desperate and the hands grabbing her were very real. Blue eyes snapped open, red was bleeding through them and stared into gold.

"Blake..." She croaked towards the cursed cat, her own hands grabbing onto arms. Her head turned as flames rushed past them. "Yang...? Ruby?"

"We have you." Ruby's grip was tight as she dragged the vampire away from the hunter.

"Yan-"

"She'll be fine. Come on, you're losing too much blood and we're not the best donors." Blake hefted Weiss onto her shoulders.

"Yang!" Ruby called as Blake began to run with Weiss hanging over her shoulder in a fireman's carry.

Ruby turned and began to bolt after the pair as Yang launched into the air and left a line of intense gold fire behind them, covering up their getaway. She was aware that she could be seen at a distance and went in a different direction to her teammates. She could catch up to them in her human form without fear of leading a hunter straight to them.

Weiss' thoughts were a swirling jumble as she clung tightly to Blake, her own claws dug into Blake's skin and she could hear the combined hammering of both her and Ruby's hearts, the blood singing loudly in their veins.

"We're nearly to the Bullhead."

"Wait!" Blake skidded to a halt, turning to look at Ruby. Her head was up, red tipped ears lying flat to her skull as her lips peeled back into a snarl. "Someone's there."

Blake turned to look at the clearing, her own lips half rising into a matching snarl. "Another hunter?" She set Weiss down gently and the white themed girl held onto her waist for support. Once she would have taken umbrage to the vampire touching her, but they had all come a long way since then.

"No." Her cat ears flicked, listening for anything and hearing nothing.

"Can you scout forward? Weiss is in no condition to fight." Weiss huffed and both shifters ignored her.

Ruby nodded slightly and melted into the shadows, the red of her cloak blending with the reds of Forever Fall.

Blake turned to look at Weiss, the vampire was clinging to her tightly, she wasn't about to complain as she pulled her closer. They waited in silence, Blake making sure Weiss wasn't bleeding anymore. She could see how exhausted the heiress was and the ship was so close.

Her ears perked as she listened to the footfalls getting close to them rapidly. Ruby burst from between two trunks. "It's... clear." Blake frowned at her hesitation but didn't say anything as she scooped Weiss up and began walking towards the Bullhead.

She stepped out of the woods, the smell of unknown human filling her nose. She looked around intently. Ruby was by her side and took the lead towards the Bullhead.

"Hello again." The voice nearly made her drop Weiss as she whirled around to see a veteran huntress and top of her class Pyrrha Nikos. Her eyes widened in horror as she whirled on Ruby.

"It's okay!" Ruby threw both hands up as she looked between them. "Pyrrha's a friend." Blake stared at her, gold eyes flat.

"Hey, Pyrrha." Yang called as she jogged through the woods, bare as the day she was born and not a care in the world.

Pyrrha wasn't the only one that went red as Ruby nearly tore off her cape to give to Yang to cover up.

"Yang!" She exclaimed, head turned pointedly away.

Yang blinked before she smirked at them widely. "Oh I see how it is, can't handle this can you?" She pointedly flexed and a trio of eyes roamed her body.

Pyrrha cleared her throat after a moment of ogling. "Um... As amazing as your physic is..." her eyes flicked back before quickly flicking away, something Weiss and Blake both noticed and brought an amused smile to the former's lips. "Perhaps you should get on board and get away from Tyrian and Tock. And perhaps help heal your vampiric friend?"

"A good idea." Ruby said, throwing her cape at Yang as she pulled the door open. Blake walked past Pyrrha, mildly confused as to why the redhead was helping them. Most hunters had no quarrel with killing any supernatural they came across.

"Pyrrha!" The voice echoed from the woods and the redhead winced.

"That's my partner, I'll go buy you some time but you have to leave now." She turned back to them and gave them a wave as she went to run off.

"Thanks, Pyrrha." Ruby called as she waved the huntress off.

Blake had a bemused look on her face as she flipped a few switches in the cockpit. "So... how did you two meet?" Weiss snorted as she pulled a blood bag out of the cooler they travelled with.

Ruby rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "One full moon last month."

"Ruby!" Yang turned to scold her sister even as she raided their dwindling supply of clothes.
