One Night at Deku's

DISCLAIMER: Kōhei Horikoshi is the creator and owner of the official characters and universe of Boku no Hero Academia. Cover Art by EmoXRyugen.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello, everybody! Welcome to yet another story idea of mine. This story concept is based on Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, if you haven't noticed already. And I am going to utilize a character in the protagonist chair in the form of Koichi Haimawari | The Crawler. Of course this story is Post-Canon and I've turned Koichi into an Underground Pro Hero. There isn't much spoilers to the manga in regards to post chapter 300, but just in case be aware.

He was freaking out. The heavy thunks of a fist pounding at the emergency shutter door was getting louder and faster. He had no clue that this was going to happen. He thought it was just going to be a cozy little night job with easy money, that's it! But instead, he's been having to deal with the THING that was roaming the museum, trying to break into his security office, ever since that stupid call coming on the phone on the desk telling him to enjoy the caller's sick game.

"This isn't happening… this can't be happening," he mutters, scared out of his wits.

The banging grew louder. He looked on the camera system and sees it outside the door, smashing its gloved fists against the shutter door.

It stops briefly to gaze up at the camera.

Suddenly, the power system to the room goes offline. The emergency shutters beeped and unlocks, riding up the rails into the ceiling divider.

The man screamed as the android replication of Deku in his late teenage years, completely dressed in a copy of the teenage version's hero costume, emerges into the room. The pupils of the brilliant green eyes are shining a vivid bright red. There is an obvious tale it is a robot due to the black lines that dissect straight down the face and even over the nose, and lines around the eye sockets, going around the center of the head to the ears, and another line section wrapping the jawline from the corners of the lips. The thick lining gives it's eyes a rather creepy sunken look.

It reaches for the night guard, grabbing the terrified man by his head. Instead of the slight mechanical-toned vocals of Deku, it instead unleashes a loud ear-splitting shriek that sounds like a garbled dial tone mixed with auto tune. The jawline even unhinged a bit during its terrifying screech while the entirely of its eyes suddenly turned pitch black, leaving just the pinpricks of the red pupils gazing at him. The teeth looked oddly sharpened.

The victim's screams are abruptly silenced when the room is filled with an ominous flesh-sounding crunch and the splatter of liquids.

"It's the fifth death in the past month, and people are getting very concerned about it," reports Tsukauchi, as he's in the room with other investigators. The body has since been removed once the proper procedures of crime scene investigation was completed and any found evidence photographed, bagged and tagged. "And here I was hoping I'd be able to enjoy my day off in this town…"

Crime never sleeps, as the old saying goes.

With him in the room was Pro Heroes Deku and Uravity.

"Anything found on the security systems?" asks Deku.

"No. Whoever is doing this somehow is able to erase every trace of evidence on the cameras and the system. Our best technicians in the department can't back-trace anything. It's as if once the murder is done, it's reset back to factory setting."

Uravity frowned.

"We're both getting concerned about this. People are starting to say that this particular museum dedicated to my husband is haunted," she tells the older man.

"And the fact that it's happening here in the countryside is also concerning," said Deku.

The location of the museum in question was a place called Watarai, located in Mie Prefecture. It was one of the smaller museums dedicated to Deku, though the original (and larger) museum was built in Musutafu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Uravity had one of her own in her hometown, and a second smaller location in the Kanto region.

Another detective native to the town enters the room.

"Yeah, I am sorry to have bothered you on your day off, but you are the best investigator in the country," said detective Ren Shiga. "And it's also good to see Deku and Uravity here, too."

The two adults smiled.

"My parents would understand later why we had to bail earlier," said Uravity.

"At this point, we should have someone intervene as a plant, to lure out whoever is killing people here in this museum dedicated to you, Deku," said Shiga.

"But we can't risk the person's life. If anything, it'll have to be a Pro Hero."

Tsukauchi smiled.

"Well… I think I have a solution to who could pose as a night guard to lure the perpetrator out. Deku, do you remember The Crawler?"

At the mentioning of the name, Deku nodded. Uravity was a bit confused.

"Wait, isn't he that former vigilante Aizawa-sensei ran into a couple times before our high school days?" she asks.

"Yeah. The same one. He also helped me a couple times when I… well… left you and the others at UA for your safety so All For One wouldn't target any of you," Deku said, a bit shy in recalling those days he had dropped out of UA for awhile. "In fact… I still got his phone number… though I hope it's still in service."

The Crawler. A former vigilante-turned-Underground Pro Hero, whose civilian name is Koichi Haimawari. In fact, it was Deku himself, with some bugging insistence/help by Shouta Aizawa, that got Haimawari and his vigilante crew to become actual Pro Heroes after the business with All For One had been dealt with forever. Haimawari was the only one of the small group who turned underground like Eraserhead.

"We'll cooperate fully with the Green Tea Agency on this," said Shiga. "And Tsukauchi can also join us."

"I plan to."

Deku nods.

"Well, I'll give Haimawari a call."

And with that, Deku steps outside of the security office, his wife Uravity following after him.

"Hopefully we'll find the killer and take him down," says Tsukauchi.

"God, I hope so. I want to put the fears of the general public to rest."

Koichi Haimawari, Underground Pro Hero: The Crawler, was having a relaxing morning. He and his wife Kazuho (known as the Pro Hero: Pop Step) had helped the Froppy and Red Riot agencies in taking care of several shipments of Xtreme (a brand of drug that is a derived version of the old Trigger drug) being illegally brought into the country from Korea to be sold to the Japanese underworld. And he honestly deserved some relaxation after preventing drugs from entering the country.

"Koichi!"

The man smiles as he feels arms snake around him and a comforting weight on top of him. He opens his eyes and sees the smiling visage of his wife.

"Kazuho… I didn't hear you come in," he said, planting a loving kiss on his wife's lips.

Kazuho giggles.

"I'm sneaky that way, like a ninja."

Koichi chuckles amusingly.

"So… what's for dinner later today? Anything good?"

She smiles.

"Yeah… I'll surprise you on that, honey."

"Ohhh. I like surprises."

She smiles back at him.

"So… the drugs have been successfully destroyed so there's no trace of drugs flooding the streets of Japan, though we're still hard at work cracking down on the drug rings that HAVE made it into the country." She rests her head against his strong broad chest. "But I heard from Dynamight that someone's attempting to resurrect Shie Hassakai from the grave."

Koichi frowned.

"Didn't Deku and a couple of his friends take down that yakuza group back in their high school days?" he asks.

"Yeah. But we don't know who is trying to bring them back from the dead since Overhaul is still rotting away in prison with his missing arm and hands, and the old leader had since passed away. Though I was told Deku is investigating that with his wife Uravity to ensure they're not planning to kidnap their daughter as some sort of plot."

The daughter of Deku and Uravity, Eri Midoriya, a second year student at UA, who goes by the hero name Dekiru.

Suddenly, his phone rings. Kazuho reaches over to the nightstand and picks it up, and she frowned a bit seeing the name on the caller ID.

"It's Deku."

She gets off her husband as Koichi takes the phone and accepts the call.

"Moshi moshi."

"Hey, Haimawari-san. It's been a long time."

"Hello, Midoriya. Yes, it's been awhile. Not going vigilante again, are you?" he asks in a joking manner.

A soft laugh was Koichi's answer from Deku.

"Please. I don't think my wife would let that happen again. Not to mention my eleven year old son Sachihiro would probably yell at me if I did something stupid again."

"Don't forget our oldest child, Eri, honey," Uravity is heard in the background.

"Anyway, I'm certain you may have heard about the string of murders happening at a museum dedicated to me in Watarai, yes?"

Koichi sighed. "I've heard of them. The local police there can't find out who's doing it and why."

"That's why we're planning to send someone in, but we can't have a spotlight Pro Hero enter the scene. So… I'm hoping you'd cooperate on the case and help us catch the killer."

"I'd be happy to help. But how would I do that?"

"Well… first you'll have to get a job as a night security guard at the museum," Deku answers.

Yup. I've turned Koichi from Illegals into an Underground Pro Hero in this Post-Canon AU fic. And... things are gonna get crazier in the next chapter. Stay tuned, folks. :D
