Chapter 1: The Field Trip That Started It All!
Earth, the most visited/invaded place in the universe. The centerpiece to access other dimensions in some cases. Defended by many heroes of all different shapes, sizes, personalities and motivations. In the ongoing war of good vs evil, many lives were either selfishly sacrificed or gave up their lives willingly for the benefit of others.
Speaking of heroes...
In some unnamed city, a certain fire colored haired colored teen girl was writing something down something as she always did...
In some lab in some unknown city, a orange haired boy was in his laboratory working on some sort of device...
In a town called Trollberg, a certain blue haired adventurer was riding on top of a giant Raven, laughing in joy at...
In Japan, a young boy in a white kamado jumped up to a man's face and kicked him to the ground as someone who was whimpering behind him looked on in awe at the child's skill in battle...
In an ancient Chinese village which was raining down hard, a redheaded goth looking teen was in his mansion's foyer blowtorching a piece of sheet metal to another before he heard the sounds of something coming outside rapidly approaching...
On the beach on the outskirts of Beach City, Delmarva, a laid back, formerly planet destroying, water user, female looking, extra-terrestrial was lounging on a chair reading a magazine...
In the Michigan city known as Royal Woods, where almost everyday is an adventure, mostly because of it's chaotic nature, fun filled stops, and filled with tons of noise... by a certain family, lies a certain house, it was nighttime as everyone was asleep.
Well...almost everyone.
In a black van, someone was talking on the phone.
"Is it all set for tomorrow?" a mysterious man in black mask and dark red suit.
"Yes, tomorrow at 12pm. We rob the Royal Woods museum for anything of extreme value. After all, history can be as valuable as one who seeks it makes it." said a voice with malicious intent on the phone. "Then no one would be stupid enough to mess with us."
Meanwhile, across town in a certain neighborhood, a certain family was fast asleep.
One of the family members, which was a boy with white hair, a chipped tooth and orange pajamas.
In the boy's dream, he was in some sort of throne room.
"Hello?" said the young boy. "Is anyone here?"
"Destiny will come soon, boy." the darkness said.
"What are you talking about?" said the confused boy. "What destiny?"
"In time, you will know young one. Just know that it will involve something legendary and you will answer that call." the darkness told him.
Suddenly, a silhouette of something in the darkness. Something the boy couldn't make out.
Before he could make out what exactly the object was, a flash of blinding white light engulfed his vision.
"Ahh!" the boy yelped as he sprung up in his bed with sweat dripping down his face.
Looking around, he saw that he was in his room.
"Oh, good it was just a dream." the boy said before looking at his alarm clock.
It was 7am.
"Better make good use of this time before all my sisters wake up." the boy said rubbing his eyes.
After taking the time to do his thing in the bathroom, the boy went downstairs and sat on the couch.
"Why did I have this dream?' the child asked himself as began to think as why he's been having these weird dreams.
This was not the first time this has happened either, as just a few weeks back he starting having a series of weird dreams with seemingly no context behind them for once a week.
But that wasn't even the weirdest part of his dreams...
It was that weird voice that kept telling him that something was going to happen to him.
The question on the young lad's mind was what exactly was going to happen?
Was it something good?
Something bad?
Both?
"Maybe it was something I ate or something I did before I went to sleep?" the boy asked himself.
As he was thinking to himself, he didn't hear his parents leave their bedroom or go to the kitchen.
He didn't even hear the tidal wave that were his sisters rush down the stairs.
Noticing that the boy was sitting on the couch in some kind of daze, his family surrounded him with concerned looks on their.
"Uh, bro?" said a girl wearing a purple shirt and a gray skirt with purple boots. "You feeling okay?"
A girl wearing red cap and blue overalls snapped her fingers in of his face hoping to get a reaction out of him.
But nothing happened...
"This is disturbing... even for me." said a girl wearing a black dress with bangs over her eyes.
A girl in a pink gown and a tiara on her head, stormed up to him...
and smacked him across the face rather hardly.
"Ow!" said the boy as he rubbed his cheek before glaring at the self proclaimed princess. "What was the heck was that for?!"
"We had get your attention somehow." shrugged the girl.
"What were you thinking about, son?" asked a man wearing a green shirt and brown pants. "Must've been rather important to tune everything else out."
"Oh I was? Sorry about that you guys." said the boy in a sheepish manner before looking down at the ground. "It's just that... I've been having these weird dreams lately, and with each one that raises even more questions than the last one."
"Do you want to talk about it, dude?" said a girl wearing a red and white jersey with matching shorts.
"I guess so." said the boy.
After explaining the many dreams he's been having, the family gathered at the table to discuss it over breakfast.
"Whoa, those are quite the dreams." said a woman in a red shirt and brown pants.
"Are you sure that you don't know what is causing them?" asked a young girl wearing a green vest and pink pants.
"Not that I know of." said the boy.
"Well, if you want us to help you, like we totes will." said a girl in a light green dress.
"Or you wish to go solo on this, we'll understand." said a girl in a white blouse that had a flower on it and a yellow skirt.
"Thanks guys." the boy began. "I think I need to try to figure this out on my own first."
Later that day at Royal Woods Middle School...
After getting to school and walking through the entrance, a tall, Filipino girl known as Stella, a glasses wearing red haired boy named Zach, an orange haired bowl cut boy named Liam, Clyde and Rusty were there to meet him.
"Hey, Linc." Clyde said, fist bumping the white haired best friend.
"Run and talk, guys." Lincoln said, urgently. "Homeroom's gonna start soon."
"Oh right." Zach said as the group of six friends began to run down the hall...
After turning a corner, Lincoln and friends accidently crashed into two new people, knocking all of them to the ground.
"Ow!" said a boy genius as he rubbed his head and readjusted his glasses.
"Oh my goodness, we're sorry for running into you." Stella said, as she helped the boy up.
"It's quite alright." The blue haired girl said as she got up and dusted her skirt off. "I'm Hilda." The now known girl said shaking Stella's and Liam's hands before gesturing to Dexter who was walking up to her. "And this is Dexter. We're new here, it's nice to meet you."
"Greetings, classmates." Dexter said, politely as he extended his hand. "Dexter, boy genius."
"It's nice to meet you, two." Zach said, shaking his new classmates hand. "I'm Zach. And these are my friends, Stella..."
"Hi there." Stella said.
"Liam..."
"Howdy, there." Liam said.
"Rusty..."
"What's up." Rusty said, giving a piece sign.
"Clyde..."
"Hello, glad you're going to be in the same class." Clyde said with a smile.
"And Lincoln..." Zach finished. "Lincoln?"
When Lincoln saw Hilda, he felt face turned red as he gazed upon her. For some reason, he couldn't say anything. His heart skipped a beat or two as she looked back at him. He just couldn't take her eyes off of her. She was so beautiful in his eyes.
That flowing blue hair.
That strange aura of adventure that resonated from her body.
Those dark blue eyes.
That beautiful face.
Suddenly Lincoln felt himself get pinched in the arm, snapping him out of his trance.
"Ow!" Lincoln yelped as he rubbed his arm. "Who did that?!"
"Sorry, buddy. Had to get your attention somehow." Clyde said, apologetically.
Looking back at the two, the white haired boy quickly introduced himself. "H-Hi, I'm Lincoln. Nice to meet you both."
Hilda couldn't help but giggle at Lincoln's nervousness. "Are you okay?"
"He appears to be flustered seeing your beauty, Hilda." Dexter said.
"Oh, I didn't mean to make you nervous." Hilda said as she felt her face turn pink a bit at the genius's compliment. "Do you need a minute?"
Lincoln took a deep breath to calm his nerves. "No, I'm fine. Anyways, are you two heading to your homeroom? Sorry if we're keeping you."
"Well, yes but we're actually trying to find it." Dexter said. "Do any of you know where Mr. Bolhofner's class is?"
"Wait, that's our homeroom." Clyde said. "Come on, we're take you two there. But it's on the other side of school though so we have to run in order to make the bell."
"Well, what are we doing just standing here?" Hilda said as she gently grabbed Lincoln's hand. "We got a class to get to."
Hilda then ran as fast as she could down the hall dragging Lincoln with her.
"Hey, wait up you two." Stella yelled out as she, Dexter and the rest of the group followed them.
Just barely making it to homeroom and getting into their seats just in time just before the bell rang, Three minutes later, the teacher walked in.
"Listen up, maggots!" a foul smelling mustached man ordered his class's attention. "After lunch tomorrow, we're going to the Royal Woods Museum."
"Boo!" was the class's response.
"Yeah, yeah, I don't wanna hear it." The man said in response. "Look, I ain't happy about it either but the school require me that I take all on at least one field trip once a year. So it's best with deal with it now or we're gonna be forced to do it later and I ain't doing it later. So let's just grit our teeth and just do it and save the complaining afterwards."
The students let out a series of groans and grumbles at the upcoming field trip aka to the most boring place ever, much to their and their teacher's collective chagrin.
"Man, this stinks." Clyde said before covering his nose. "The trip, not just our teacher."
"I hear ya." said Liam, also covering his nose.
"So many hours wasting away in a museum learning. We have school for that!" said Lincoln as he rolled his eyes.
"For once, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with you, Lincoln Lame." said a dark red haired, white skinned boy.
"Well, at least we agree on something, Chancy." said the white haired boy now known as Lincoln.
"Really, that's what you're calling me?" grumbled the red haired boy who had a deadpanned look on his face.
"Seems fitting though." Lincoln said rather smugly.
"Touché, Larry. Touché." said Chandler, narrowing his eyes at him.
"And that's not all." the teacher began once more. "Apparently, when we get to the museum, we're going to be joined with some students from Royal Woods High. So I don't want any hijinks from any of you while we're there that'll embarrass our class." He then narrowed his eyes and pointed at Lincoln and his friends. "Especially from you, Loud and your specific group of trouble making friends."
"Oh come on, why single them out?" Dexter asked, fear creeping up his spine.
"Isn't it obvious, Newbie," the teacher began. "Whenever Loud comes up with one of his famous plans, it always leads to trouble and those associated with you end up getting embarrassed because of it. The principal told me."
"Hate to say it Linc, but he's kinda got a point." said Stella as she sat next to him.
"True, but I only come up with plans like those mostly out of desperation or paranoia." Lincoln said in his defense. "Have you seen my crazy family? Trying to keep them out of trouble is like trying to fight an army with just your legs."
"Regardless, you end up causing trouble for our class Loud, you're going down and those with your vicinity." The teacher said in a threatening tone.
Lincoln gulped a bit before responding. "If I do end up causing any trouble, I'll try to keep it minimal."
"Good enough." The man said.
As Lincoln began to think, he then heard something in his head.
"The answer to all your questions will be waiting for you there..."
Letting out a little yelp, he then looked around and saw that the voice was gone.
"I really need figure out what's causing those dreams." Lincoln mentally groaned to himself. "Maybe going to the museum will help with that."
Meanwhile at Royal Woods High...
"Here we are, Jack." said a female with red, orange and yellow hair as the two of them stood in front of the school. "A fresh start."
"I don't know, Sunset." Jack said, nervously. "What if they don't accept me. Or you for that matter."
"C'mon Spicer, it's a fresh start for us! You can't just give up before you start." Sunset said.
"But what if-" Jack began to say when he was interrupted.
"Excuse me." said someone else.
Looking to their right, they saw that it was the green dress wearing girl. She wasn't alone as the girl with the white blouse and yellow skirt and the girl wearing a purple shirt and gray skirt were with her.
"Sorry to intrude on your conversation, but, like, are you two new here?" the green dress wearing girl asked.
"Why yes we are." Sunset said as she extended her hand. "I'm Sunset Shimmer and this is Jack Spicer."
"I'm Leni." The girl now known as Leni shook the girl's hand in greeting before gesturing to the two with her. "And these are my sisters, Luna and Luan."
"Sup, dude." The girl in purple now known as Luna greeted.
"Nice to meet you." The girl in white and yellow now know as Luan said.
"Please to meet you three." Jack said nervously.
"You okay?" Luna asked, concerned.
"Sorry, it's his first day here." Sunset said. "He's going through a lot."
"Oh, I'm totes sorry to hear that." Leni said with a concerned look on her face.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Luna asked gently.
Jack stood silent for a minute before shaking his head before he then spoke.
"Not right now. Let's just get inside please." Jack said.
The four girls nodded as they led Jack into their school.
"Oh, by the way. Some of us are going to Royal Woods Museum tomorrow for a field trip. You two should come with." Leni suggested eagerly.
"Whoa girl. We just met these two." Luan said, pulling the reigns on her older sister for a bit.
"Oh, it's alright." Sunset said. "When is it?"
"Tomorrow at 12." Luna said. "You in?"
"I guess so." Sunset said. "Museums are my favorite place to visit."
"I guess, I'll give it shot." Jack said nervously.
With that, the group walked inside the school.
Tomorrow, at the Museum...
After a rowdy bus ride, Lincoln's class finally arrived at the Royal Woods museum as they all began to get off the bus.
"Alright, everyone. Stay together, I don't want anyone to get lost while we're here." The man said as he got up from his seat. "So since we're going to be here until 2, we're pairing you up in groups of two." He then pulled out a list. "Loud, you'll be paired up with one of the new students I told you about. You'll know her when you see her."
Upon hearing that, Lincoln's cheeks turn a bright shade of pink.
"Her?" Lincoln thought to himself.
Suddenly, he heard something speak to him in his head.
"You're getting closer, young man. Your destiny awaits..."
Grabbing the sides of his head in pain, he then screamed out. "WHAT DESTINY?!"
Upon screaming that, Lincoln felt the voice disappear from his head as his fellow students than looked at him in confusion.
"You okay, buddy?" The black nerd asked his friend as he placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah, I think so, Clyde." Lincoln said. "No need to worry."
"You sure?" The Filipino girl said in concern. "If you want, we can stay out here for a bit while everyone else goes inside."
"You sure? I don't want you guys getting into trouble." Lincoln tried to deny.
But his friends were having none of it.
"Lincoln, we're your friends." Clyde said. "Stella's right, you're just as important to us as some stupid field trip."
"I guess it's okay." Lincoln said as he looked at his teacher. "As long as Mr. Bolhofner is okay with it."
"Well, alright. The rest of us will go in and get the tour of the museum, though the other bus with some high school students should be arriving soon so be sure to greet them. So don't take too long." He then narrowed his eyes at them. "So no shenanigans. Got it?"
"Yeah, sure!" was the group's collective response.
Alright, everyone. Let's head inside." Mr. Bolhofner said as headed inside the museum with the rest of his class following him.
Once they were gone, Clyde and friends turned to Lincoln.
"Lincoln, are you feeling okay?" The red haired boy asked.
"Yeah, Liam." Lincoln said. "It's just that..."
"It's okay, Lincoln." Stella began gently. "You can tell us."
Lincoln took a deep breath and he spoke. "I've been having these weird dreams lately."
"What's so bad about that?" Liam said.
"We all have weird dreams." said another red haired kid, but wearing glasses.
"I don't know, Zach." Lincoln disagreed with his friend. "I've a been having them a lot lately. And that's not all, with each one, I keep hearing this weird voice in them. Saying something about destiny and all that heroic stuff you see in TV shows."
"That's why you screamed earlier?" Zach asked.
"Yeah, my dream voice told me that the answer to all my questions would be here." Lincoln said as he gestured toward the museum. "It's been driving me crazy. I think coming here could finally give me answers."
"Have you told your family?" The orange haired boy asked.
"Yeah, I did Rusty. Just this morning." Lincoln revealed to them. "And they said that they would help me."
"And so will we." Stella declared.
"You know it." Rusty said as Zach, Liam, and himself nodded in agreement.
"Of course we'll help you." Clyde said as he placed a hand on Lincoln's shoulder. "We're your friends. And we know that you would do the same for us if we were in your shoes."
Lincoln smiled as was then embraced by his friends. "Thanks guys."
"No problem." said Stella.
"It's the least we can do." said Rusty.
"We'll stick by you through it all." said Zach.
"You're our buddy. Just lookin' out fer ya" Liam said.
"We feel like you at least need this." Clyde said as he embraced Lincoln a little tighter.
After a few moments, the group of six friends separated.
"Alright, I think I'm ready to go inside." Lincoln said.
"Then let's go." Liam said.
Just before the gang could go inside, they heard the sound of a bus coming up. Turning around, they saw that it was indeed a bus that stopped in front of them, causing them to step back a bit as the doors opened up.
Stepping off of the bus was Leni, Luna, Luan, and Jack Spicer and Sunset.
"Linky." Leni said as she ran up to her younger brother to scooped him in her arms and embraced him.
"Leni?" Lincoln said in confusion. "You're on this trip too?"
"Not just her, bro." Luna said as she embraced Lincoln too.
"We're here too." Luan said as she gestured to Sunset and Jack. "And so are these too."
"I'm Sunset Shimmer." The fire colored girl said, shaking Lincoln's hand. "And this is Jack Spicer."
"H-Hi there." Jack said nervously with a smile and a wave.
"Please to meet you both." Lincoln said respectfully.
Luna then noticed Hilda and Dexter. "Hey, who are those two?"
"Oh, that's Hilda and Dexter, our new classmates." Lincoln said as he gestured the two over. "Hilda and Dexter, these are my sisters, Leni, Luan, and Luna." He introduced his before gesturing to Sunset and Jack. "And that's Sunset and Jack."
"Pleased to make your acquaintance." Dexter said, respectfully.
"Likewise, little dude." Luna said as she shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you all." Hilda said as she shook hands with Leni and Sunset's hands.
"Nice to meet you too." Sunset said.
Luna then elbowed Lincoln before speaking to him. "So, dude. That blue haired girl is quite the cutie isn't she?"
Hearing that caused both of them to blush a bit.
"Well, yeah I g-guess so." Lincoln stammered.
"Oh, um, th-thank you, Lu-Luna." Hilda stammered.
After meeting up with the rest of their class and introducing the two new students to them, the field trip continued from there.
After almost an hour, most of the class, even Hilda and Dexter were rather bored as while they were learning some things new around here, it was ancient history. Then again what did you expect? It is a museum after all.
Suddenly, Lincoln heard that voice in his head again, much to his concern.
"Follow my voice, young one."
"Alright. Where?" Lincoln thought to himself.
"Go down that hallway to your right." The voice instructed.
Lincoln looked to his right and saw a hallway that was empty. Taking a moment to look back at his class, he saw that they were distracted by the tour guide.
Lincoln then snuck away from the group as he tiptoed down the hallway hoping not to make too much noise.
Little did he know that Clyde, Hilda and Dexter noticed him leave the group.
"Guys, listen I need you to stay with the class. Lincoln just went down that hallway." Clyde whispered to Stella, Zach, Rusty, and Liam. "I'm gonna go after him."
"Well, if you're going then we're going with you." Stella whispered. "Lincoln's our friend too, we want be there for him."
"Don't try to talk us out of it." Rusty said quietly yet determined.
"We're going with and that's the end of it." Liam whispered, not wanting to argue.
Clyde then felt a hand on his shoulder and saw that it was Hilda and Dexter.
"I saw Lincoln leave and me and Dexter are going too." Hilda whispered.
Dexter simply nodded.
"And so are we." Sunset said.
"Don't try to stop us." Jack said a bit confidently.
"We'll stay here and cover for you guys." Luna said.
Clyde smiled at his friends and new found ones were determined to help his white haired buddy.
"Alright, let's go." Clyde whispered before they quickly and quietly went after the ashen haired, destined boy like shadows.
Little did anyone know, some uninvited guests were about to ruin their day...
Back with Lincoln, as he was being unknowingly followed, he went through a series of hallways before reaching his destination as he walked into a room with a strange looking suit of black colored armor with a weird insignia on the chest piece that had wrist blades on both forearms, a brown loincloth at the hips and a black helmet with what appeared to be 6 long spikes in the back, two angel wings on the sides of the it and what appeared to be the bottom of a broom was put on top of the helmet that was displayed in a glass case at the end of it.
"Wait, you say that I'll find my destiny in here?" Lincoln asked the voice in his head.
"Yes, you see that armor and that helmet?" The voice answered. "You've been chosen to don it."
"Really?" Lincoln said, as he began to approach the wearable artifact. "This is all so confusing. Why would I be chosen?"
"Because of your selflessness to those you care about, determination to do what you set out to do, and wanting to make it up to those you've wronged." The voice responded. "So I suggest that you put it on."
Clyde and the others peeked into the room to see Lincoln walking up to the helmet.
"What's he doing?" Dexter asked.
"I think whatever that voice is telling him about destiny involves that weird suit of armor and that weird helmet." Hilda theorized.
"I think he's going to steal that those things." Stella said.
"Come on, we gotta stop him." Clyde said as he led the charge to save his friend from making a mistake.
Lincoln was now in front of the helmet's case, he was hesitant to take the helmet."I don't know. This sounds like a trick and I'm in no mood for tricks today."
Suddenly, he felt the ground shake as he felt something rock the museum as it nearly knocked him off his feet as well as knock Clyde and the others down.
As well as knock the glass case that the armor and helmet were in off the stand that it was on, causing it to shatter into pieces but the helmet and the armor were unharmed as the helmet rolled to Lincoln's feet.
"Cause some robbers led by someone who wants to destroy all of them are after powerful objects like this helmet here. I can tell that they're already taking your class and your sisters hostage." The voice said to him. "The helmet you see before you is enchanted by the gods. If you put it on, you'll gain the power needed to stop them."
Lincoln picked up the helmet and looked at it for a bit. "It's not going to turn me bad or crazy is it?"
"If you choose to use it for those purposes, no. It's totally safe." The voice said. "The only way to save the museum is to don the helmet. The choice is yours of course, but you need to decide now. The fate of the museum lies on this very choice."
Lincoln looks at the helmet before turning around and seeing his friends struggling to get up from that shock wave. Before he could ask what they were doing here, they all heard a voice come to life on the museum's loud speaker.
"Alright, if anyone has anything valuable. I suggest you turn them over to us immediately unless you want these hostages executed!"
Soon the sounds of guns going off and people screaming as footsteps could be heard running in fear could be heard on the speaker.
Upon hearing this, Lincoln began to help his friends get off the floor.
"Come on." Lincoln said. "We need to get out of here."
"Agreed, follow us." Hilda said as she ran down the hallway.
"Wait up, Hilda." Dexter said as he began to run after her with the others following suit as Lincoln carried the helmet with him.
Hilda and the others quickly got to the area where the rest of the class were being guarded by a group of fifteen robbers.
"We have to help them." Hilda said as she began to run towards towards the robbers.
"Hilda, stop!" was the group quiet, collected response.
Just as Lincoln was about to stop the blue haired girl from doing something reckless and stupid, Lincoln was stopped by his friends.
"Wait, Lincoln, you need to hide that thing." Zach said.
"While you make your decision." Rusty added.
"But what about you guys?" Lincoln asked in worry.
"Don't worry about us, classmate." Dexter countered. "It is nine of us and 15 of them."
"They still have the advantage in numbers." Sunset said to herself.
"True..." Lincoln said unsure as he stared down at the helmet.
"Look Lincoln," Clyde began as he laid a hand on his shoulder. "You trusted us to tell us your problems, now you need to trust us again."
Lincoln looked down at the helmet once more before nodding. "Be careful." He said in defeat.
"We'll try to." Rusty said.
"Don't worry for us, we'll be fine." Jack said as he ran out to help Hilda.
With that, Lincoln's friends ran out into the open as they were being either shot at or almost getting grabbed and restrained by the six robbers. Lincoln couldn't bare to watch as he he needed to come to a decision and fast.
Stella leaped over one robber before punching the glass container that housed a shield and quickly used it to knock his gun out of his hands before she was felt herself get strangled into a choke hold from behind by another robber who had a rifle.
Dexter leaped to the side as he quickly hide behind the leg of a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton that was being shot at by a dual wielding robber with pistols and a robber with a a pair of nun-chucks.
"Alright, wrist laser. Let's see what you are made of." Dexter said to his left wrist that a watch like device he had there before quickly firing small but accurate lasers at one of the robbers, who ran fired bullets as the boy genius before he also took cover.
Clyde bit into arm of a robber with a rocket launcher, causing him to drop it as Rusty, Liam and Zach all dog piled on top of him, pinning him to the floor.
As Lincoln (and the rest of the class) were watching this, they all thought they were either really brave or really stupid.
When Lincoln saw Hilda, he couldn't help but admire her skill.
Hilda was engaging with who appeared to be the leader as she used her scarf to quickly wrapped it around the sniper rifle before pulling it out of his hands and threw against the wall, causing the gun to break in two.
Before Hilda could celebrate, she briefly distracted herself which gave the robber the opening he needed as he headbutted the blue hired girl in the face, breaking her nose causing blood to drip out of it and knocking her to the ground. Before she had the chance to get up, she cried out in pain as she felt her right shoulder getting brutally stomped on by the robber who then took out a knife and stabbed it into the adventurer's left shoulder causing her to scream out in more pain.
"Hilda!" Lincoln thought to himself before looking at the others.
Clyde, Rusty, Liam, and Zach struggling to get out of the RPG robber's grip, but he didn't even budge. Sunset was being held by her hair, struggling to get out of the grip of robber who had a machine gun. Jack was was being held to the ground by two robbers. Stella tried to kicked the robber that was currently strangling her with his gun but it just bored him. Dexter was being held up by his wrist laser arms as he felt the laser get crushed and some of the bones in his arm being cracked causing him to grunt in pain. The rest of the robbers were pointing their guns at Leni and the rest of hostages, ready to fire if they so much as move a muscle.
"Enough of this!" The leader demanded. "If there's anyone out there. Come into the light and cower. Or we start executing everyone in this room." He then pointed the knife towards Hilda's face. "Starting with the blue haired one and rest of these suicidal morons."
There was no time to waste, threatening his class, his family as well, restraining his friends and brutalizing Hilda proved to be the last straw for Lincoln as he stared at the helmet with determination in his eyes.
"Alright you stupid helmet! Let's save the museum!" Lincoln thought to himself as he closed his eyes... and donned the helmet as a flash of white light manifested where he was, gaining the robbers, Lincoln's friends and their class's attention.
"Good job, buddy." Clyde thought to himself with a smile of his face.
"I knew you would put it on." Stella thought to herself as smiled a little.
"Good for you, white knight." Hilda thought to herself, giving Lincoln a nickname cause even though the blue haired girl was currently in pain, she couldn't help but be proud of Lincoln for using the helmet's power.
"Hey, who's over there?!" The robber leader demanded. "If it's a valuable weapon, I suggest you hand it over. You have until the count of three to comply!"
The person in the dark said nothing, much to thinning patience of the the robber.
"1-"
"No." The figure simply said, interrupting the robber with his rather deep voice as he quickly ran to the left, getting behind the robber holding Clyde, Liam, Zach and Rusty before he grabbed him by the back of the shirt and pulled him back into the darkness, causing the three to fall to the floor.
All everyone could hear was the figure beating the tar out of the criminal, and the criminal was begging him to stop.
Suddenly the punching stopped, as the figure finally stepped out
It was Lincoln, except he was taller and pretty strong with the huge muscles were bulging out. He was wearing black, spiky armor that looked like a spartan's armor as he dragged the unconscious, bloodied and beaten robber behind before presenting his arm for everyone in the room to see before dropping him to the floor.
"He'll live." He simply stated before he continued. "If you want the helmet, why don't you come get it instead restoring to a cowardly tactic like this?!" The figure demanded.
"Get him!" The leader demanded as shot at the strange figure. "Rip that helmet off his face!"
But the bullets did nothing to him as they stopped dead in their tracks before falling straight to the floor.
Growing tired of this, Lincoln shot a bat shaped boomerang at the leader making his drop his already empty gun to the floor.
Before Lincoln could go straight for him, he was blasted from behind by rocket. Looking behind him, he saw that the robber holding Stella had his foot on her back as he saw the rocket launcher in his hands.
"Take off the armor or she dies." The robber threatened as he pointed the rocket launcher at Stella's head.
"Taking a third option." Lincoln said before he manifested a sling that had a rock in it, swinging it around and before launching it at the robber, hitting him square in the face, causing him to fall on his back.
As he hit the ground, he accidentally pulled the trigger, launching the rocket into the air and when it hit the ceiling, exploded, causing the lights to go out and everyone to shield themselves from the debris and glass falling on them.
"If everyone's alright, find that guy and blow his head off!" The thug demanded as he looked down at Hilda. "I got my eye on you, girly."
As the group off robbers began to split off, the one who fired the rocket made a fatal mistake of trying grab Stella again as he felt something grab him by the arm and pull him up towards the ceiling as he screamed in fear.
Suddenly, the sound of a bone breaking could be heard as they robbers flashed their lights over to the location.
It was the masked person, breaking off the end piece of the tail of the dinosaur skeleton with almost little to no effort.
"Oh no." said the robber holding Dexter.
"One chance, let go of him or I'll hurt you." Lincoln demanded as he held up the tail like a baseball bat.
With no other choice, the robber dropped Dexter and pleaded for mercy.
"Let me think on that..." Lincoln said before simply whacking the goon across the face with the tailbone, knocking him out. "No."
Using his strength, he picked up the entire dino skeleton and chucked it at the group of robbers threatening Lincoln's sisters and the rest of his class, knocking them all out in one move.
With that, he suddenly disappeared once more as the 3 remaining robbers now getting scared.
"Oh what's wrong?" a voice rang out in the museum. "Scared?"
"Show yourself!" One of the robbers demanded.
"Gonna cry?" The voice asked mockingly. "Big armed robbers wanting something beyond their control, how pathetic,"
"Shut up! Show yourself or we'll, we'll-" The second robber demanded before he was cut off.
"You'll what?" The voice said as he began to laugh, much to the irritation of the three robbers. "You'll pee your pants maybe."
He then began to laugh again.
"Enough of these charades, freak!" The robber with the assault rifle shouted in a rage as he began to shoot at the ceiling .
After a few moments, the robber was out of ammo, much to his chagrin.
"Are you kidding me?!" The robber then said, annoyed.
As he was grumbling, the robber failed to notice a chandelier heading right towards him from above as when he shot the ceiling, he failed to noticed that he shot a string that the glass decoration was tied to. Upon turning around, he was hit with the force of a bookshelf falling on top on him as he flew into a pillar, knocking him out but also breaking his spine in the process.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" The nun-chucks wielding robber shouted as he was scared out of his mind.
Suddenly, he felt something drop down behind him. Turning around, he was faced to faced with his tall, muscular adversary.
"Who are you?" the scared robbed asked meekly.
Instantly grabbing the child threatening robber by the mouth and holding him up to his face, he answered.
"Who am I?" The god-like child asked in disbelief. "I'm someone who even the devil fears."
With that, he leaned to his face before simply saying.
"Boo."
With the robber, scared out of his mind and definitely peeing himself, dropped his weapon and ran as fast as he could toward the exit. Lincoln notice a piece of the chandelier intact and quickly picked it up and threw it as fast as he could, causing the shard to go straight into his right leg, causing him to let out a scream of pain as he slid straight into a pillar, knocking himself out in the process.
"Enough of this!" yelled the robber as he grabbed Hilda by the back of her shirt and held her like a human shield while holding his knife to her throat. "Take off the helmet or I swear to my boss that I'll kill her!"
"It's too late to play that card." Lincoln said, with an eye roll.
"Don't believe me, I'll do it! Don't test me!" The robber leader said as he pressed the knife a bit closer to Hilda's neck. "My boss want to destroy these weapons and you're not getting in our way."
"Your boss, why would he want to destroy this ancient stuff?" Lincoln asked in confusion.
"Why does anyone do anything?" The robber retorted. "Out of fear."
"So your boss is on a quest to destroy these weapons cause sees them as a threat, why doesn't he just do it himself instead of sending you guys?" Lincoln asked.
"Ever heard of strength in numbers, mate?" The robber answered. "Artifacts like the one you're using now is a threat to him. And threats like must be disposed of. So I suggest you play ball if you want to save her."
"Thanks for the info, but I ain't doing that." The masked hero simply said.
"What?!" The robber said in shock. "Do you not see the situation she's in?!"
"I can tell she's going to save herself." The god-like person said with a smirk underneath his helmet. "Riiight about now."
Just then he disappeared in a puff of smoke, much to the robber's confusion.
"What was the heck was that?" The robber said in confusion as he lowered the knife a little.
But that was the least of his worries.
"Okay, I've had just about enough of this!" Hilda declared as she stomped on the leader's foot hard, making the robber let out a grunt of pain before he was forced to let go of her, but that wasn't all as he was then elbowed in the stomach, making him drop his knife as she ran for cover.
"You little brat, when I get my hands. I'm gonna-" The robber began as he was about to chase her when felt someone grab him by his shirt and pin him to the floor.
"So, if you don't want too long of a sentence, I suggest you cooperate with me." said the boy turned god-like person. "I want to know everything about your boss and I intend to get it, so if don't to get hurt too badly, you're going to help me."
"And if I refuse?" The robber said. "What are you gonna do? Kill me?"
"Not you guys, as killing criminals is overrated." Lincoln said. "Hurting in other ways seems more rewarding. Allow me to demonstrate."
With just one finger, Lincoln pressed just one inch into the guy's shoulder, causing it and his entire arm to go limp.
"Ahh! My arm!" The robber shouted as he tried to move his now limp arm but couldn't.
"Wanna rethink your answer, we got some time before the cops show up." Lincoln simply demanded. "I suggest you start talking."
Knowing he had no other choice unless he wanted the rest of him paralyzed, the robber sighed.
"Depends, what do you want to know?" The robber asked, knowing he was defeated.
"His name for one." The boy suggested.
"He doesn't really, at know that we know." The robber began. "He just calls himself "Darkest Chaos"."
"So it's just some random guy attempting to play God by off historic weapons?" The hero asked.
"I don't even think that he is a human at all, I think he's some kind of demon." The robber said.
"A demon?" Lincoln asked.
"At least that's what I think he is. The robber continued. "Some sort of demon of the criminal underworld, who kills people for failing him, just like he's gonna do to us when the fuzz gets a hold of us!" The robber said in fear as tears welled up in his eyes. "You have to understand dude, we were forced into doing this thing. He was going to kill our families if we didn't do what he says. That's all I know, I swear!"
Now Lincoln fully understood exactly why the robbers were doing this, they weren't doing this because they wanted to, they're doing it because they had no choice. A circumstance that disgust Lincoln to his core as he was forced into the those type of circumstances more times than he could count.
"How do I know you're not lying?" The god-like boy asked.
"I'm not! I know this is stupid to say, but trust me when I say that you'll know the sheer mounts of depravity he's willing to go through to get what he wants." The robber revealed. "So if you cross paths with him, run! Cause no one is going to be safe with him out there in the world!"
Lincoln said nothing but nodded. "He'll be taken care of. Don't worry."
Just then, he pressed his thumbs into the robber's legs, causing him to grunt in pain.
With that, Lincoln got up and began to walk away.
"Wait!" Hilda called out, causing Lincoln to stop but not turn around.
"Yeah?" The hero said in a deep voice.
"Who are you?" The blue haired girl asked rather timidly.
Lincoln stood silent for a minute before answering.
"Grimace." He simply said before walked up to her and placed a hand on her still bleeding shoulder and slowly begin to heal it.
After a few seconds, Hilda's shoulder was fully healed.
Looking down, she smiled a bit.
"Wow, thank yo-" Hilda began as she looked up...
Only to find that he disappeared.
"Where did he go?" She summed up everyone else's feelings on this masked vigilante.
The only question that was on everyone's mind as they all began to process what just happened just as the police busted into the museum entrance, demanding everyone get on the ground, was:
"Who the heck was that guy?!"
