Smell of gas
"Dear Kakashi,
You have no idea how much I miss you.
Aaah, Kakashi. My love. I always knew that you had two great loves, your dogs and being a firefighter. I remember that time you told me "Iruka, my love. You do not know how happy I am that you allow me to continue being a firefighter" but what you did not know, my beloved, is that concern touched my soul every day. When you left our house, I would despair and pray to all the gods to make sure you were okay.
And everything was fine for a while, you came every night and every day by my side. Your pack, as you called them, was content and happy in their canine life, but everything changed that May 5.
I still have fresh in my memory that day. We were in our bed, the scent of our love permeating the room feeling me at peace, but they called you for an emergency and, as you always said, when you are a firefighter, you are a firefighter forever.
Oh Kakashi, you don't know how difficult it is to write this letter to you, it hurts my heart and soul, but I must. I need it.
That day the worry took hold of me like in the first days of our relationship and I felt silly because I thought "He knows what he does", but my intuition was good, when I wished he was never right.
That afternoon your friend Gai knocked on my door and said "Iruka, I'm so sorry but Kakashi died on duty." The world fell on me and everything turned gray. I could never again see the world with the same electrifying colors that you provoked in me.
And now, with this smell of gas, I feel like I already have a little peace. Maybe this wasn't what you wanted from me and I feel like I let you down on some level, but you're not here anymore and I can't live a second without you by my side.
Don't worry, your dogs are in a place where they are loved and happy.
And I have another confession to make. I hate loving you like this, I hate my weakness when you were such a brave and beautiful firefighter, but I can't help it. I can't help it even if I wanted to.
Yours forever,
~Iruka."
"Hello, with the Konoha Fire Department?"
"Hi Yes. I am Sakura and in the apartment of a neighbor there is a strong smell of gas and it seems that he is not there because he does not answer the door."
"Okay miss. One of our goes there, now if you can give me the address?"
"Oh, it's fine. We are in the Caracoles building with number 743."
"Thanks. Captain Yamato from our unit will go to the scene. I recommend that all locals leave the building to avoid problems in the future."
"Oh, perfect. Thanks!"
Thanks to the call, all the building's occupants got out on time, except for a 34-year-old man with long brown hair with a scar on his face. Man who was found next to a letter impregnated with the smell of gas that came from his apartment.
