Hi everyone! These are just a bunch of one shots I've piddled around with between writing more serious stories. Also, I've seen where people didn't know what the word 'spoot' was, and I forgot to explain it last time. From what I could find, it's the name(?) for razor back shells and it was a randomly picked word by the writers, according to show creator Mitch Schauer in a podcast interview.

"Aww, man. What was that spooty password again?" I muttered, staring blankly at the keypad next to the door of the secret room hidden in my closet.

If I type the wrong one again, it'll go into full lockdown with alarms blaring. Can't have that happen when my brother is home. He doesn't know this room exists, and I'd like to keep it that way. It's my only brother-free space where I can relax or get any of my artwork done.

I might have used my favorite color, lime green (with three's in the place of e's), as the password. Here goes...

"Chels!" Dag called as I typed the last letter in.

The door lock clicked; I quickly slid some clothes in front of the room's door and stepped out of the closet.

"Can I borrow your tablet?" Dag burst into the room. "It's a gaming emergency.

I slammed the closet door and whirled around to face him. "Where's yours?" I said. I took a deep breath.

"It's still at the repair place and- are you okay?" Daggy asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I answered. "And, no, you can't. Are you crazy? I just got it two weeks ago and it wasn't cheap." I started to walk away.

"Please. I'm so close to winning that spooty penguin game." He stepped in front of me. "I finally made it to the last level."

"You have a phone. Just use that." I said.

"It went completely dead and it won't let me do anything until it's got a little more power." He pointed at my hand. "That's why I need your tablet."

Every other time, I accidentally lock things in my secret room. Why I didn't forget my tablet, as I usually would, is beyond me.

"You can use my phone." I walked over to my bed where I was sure I laid my phone.

It wasn't there. Spoot! I left the stupid thing in the secret room. I can't go back in there and get it without him knowing. Then, he'll spend every second of the day trying to get in there.

"I misplaced my phone." I rubbed the back of my head. "And the tablet really needs to charge-"

"You're making that up, I can tell." He replied. "I let you borrow my tablet for a week when your old one broke."

Perfect. The one time I actually need him to forget I owe him anything.

"I'll let you pick the next five movies for movie night if you'll forget about using my tablet." I said.

"I would take you up on that, but I wanna beat this game." reached for the tablet. "Are you gonna let me use it or not?"

"Alright, but please be careful with it." I handed it to him.

I'm sure I'll regret this somehow. But, I'm out of options. Besides, he'll keep bugging me about it for hours until I give in and I have to clean this pigsty I call my room.

Dag grabbed it, but I couldn't make myself turn it loose.

"Let go already, sheesh!" Dag snapped.

"Okay, okay. Have fun." I pulled my hands away.

I half expected to hear it hit the floor as Dag raced out of the room.

Once I heard the game's eight-bit music start up, I relaxed a little bit. He only had one level to go and, apparently, he's better at that game than me and Stace ever was (which wasn't saying much, but still).

About half an hour later, I was exhausted, but proud of how much I got done in such a short time when a muffled thump got my attention.

"Stupid game, eeh!" Dag yelled. "Stupid game, eeh!"

Another thump followed his screaming.

I ran over to his room, hoping he was breaking something else instead of my new, one hundred dollar tablet.

I stood at the doorway with my mouth hanging open as I watched Dag pick my tablet up off the floor; pieces of the broken screen covered the spot where it had been.

"Daggett!" I screamed. "What did you do?!"

"The spooty game cheated!" Dag dropped the tablet. "That stupid polar bear never jumped that far over a hole before and, all of a sudden, it could. Right before I could reach the finish line, it attacked my penguin!"

"Forget the game. What about my tablet?!" I walked into the room and picked it up.

The screen was nearly gone except for a few, jagged pieces that were still connected to the device; I could clearly see some damage to the parts inside. I set the tablet on the bedside table and went to get a broom to sweep up the glass.

"Sorry." Dag replied. "Did you get the warranty thingy?"

"I should've." I stopped and turned around. "But, I don't think it would cover this."

"Hmm. Too bad." He shrugged and picked his phone up.

Too bad, my tail.

I snatched the phone out of his hand as he walked by.

"Hey, give it back!" He glared at me while holding his hand out for it.

"Oh, no. You break my tablet, don't even offer to replace it, and you expect me to be okay with that?" I narrowed my eyes.

He reached for the phone again, but I tossed it to my other hand.

Yeah, I guess this is pretty childish, but he's gotta learn he can't break people's stuff and get away with it.

"You're not getting this back until you buy me a new tablet." I raised my arm up, holding the phone above my head as far as I could.

Like that really did any good. I'm about two inches shorter than him.

Dag made a move to take it from me, but I tossed it back to my other hand.

This time, he grabbed my wrist as I caught the phone.

I gripped the phone tighter.

"Give it back." He tried to pry my fingers open.

"No way." I wrapped my free hand around the one holding the phone with a death grip.

We wrestled over it for a bit until I broke free from his grip and tried to toss the phone onto his bed.

It hit the edge of the bed's canoe frame and bounced off, hitting the floor with a crunch.

He ran over and scooped it up.

"You cracked my screen!" He held the phone up.

It had a long, jagged crack running from the top left to the bottom right corner and a few, smaller cracks splintering off the big one.

There's no way he'll believe it was an accident. He'll think it's petty revenge because that's exactly what he'd do.

"I'm really sorry. I'll buy you a new one." I apologized.

He looked at it for a minute.

"I guess we're even." He tossed it onto the bed. "I'll buy you a new tablet. I'm sorry."

"Huh?" I cocked my head to the side. "Oh, I'm sorry too."

For a few minutes afterward, I thought I had imagined his apology. I was expecting him to run off and break something else of mine.

It didn't really sink in until we were almost halfway to town.

The store didn't have the same phone model anymore, so I wound up buying my brother a slightly more expensive phone.

They did have the same tablet model I had… for sixty dollars. I don't know if I should think that's funny or if I should be ticked off.

While we were in town, we stopped by the repair place to pick up Dag's tablet.

On our way home, Dag couldn't resist starting that spooty game up again.

"I'll help you set your phone up when we get back to the house." I said. "I hope you've learned something out of-"

"I WON!" Dag pumped his fists in the air.

Good thing I'm used to this sort of thing. Anyone else would wreck their car from being startled.

"Great. You can use this chance to quit gaming and rage-breaking your devices." I replied. "You've got some serious issues-"

"Now I can get started on that Paleozoic Park game." He excitedly tapped the screen.

If he breaks his tablet and phone again, he's on his own. It'll be a cold day in the bad place before I let him use mine again.

The Paleozoic park game is based on the Jurassic park 2 game for PS1. the Penguin game is based on some game called Antarctica that was on a plug 'n play system my cousin owned, but with an element of the Jurassic game (e.g. The polar bear did about the same thing to the penguin that the raptor did to my compy).
