A/N: Hey there! Ana here. As you can see I started another fic, which isn't actually an original one, is a sequel to Roxy Goth's story, 'Unsolicited'. So, if you want to understand this plot, you'll have to go and read hers first. Although a little dark, it's awesome and very well written. Just a little warning before we start, I plan for this to get quite dark as well. There will be only MENTIONS of sexual assault (so no harassment will actually happen) and slight hints of paedophilia (again, nothing graphic will happen). This first chapter is quite light though; we're starting off easy. Now that I have said everything I wanted to say, let's roll with it!

Chapter 1
Thasos was beautiful.
Although not that big, the Greek island was indeed a very nice and quiet place for a vacation. With the picturesque architecture, the local restaurants that served the best seafood a foreigner could ever taste and the friendly people, Thasos was quickly loved by both the Looney Tunes and the Tiny Toons. The little ones, who were for the first time abroad, were actually beyond excited and wanted to see the whole island; they always participated in choosing the next location they were going to visit, they bought dozens of souvenirs and tried all the traditional foods they saw on the restaurant menus.
However, their absolute favorite place out of them all was, undoubtedly, the beach. There, the beaches had golden sand, warm and soft, and the sea was so clean and blue that the water was literally shinning in the sunlight. The ones in America just couldn't compare. The younger toons would spend hours either building sand castles, swimming, or just playing with each other on the beach.
Normally, the Looney Tunes were rather strict with them and back home, they would never leave their protégés outside that much. But, seeing as this was their first summer vacation and considering that they had wonderful results for their first year at the Looniversity, they decided to spoil them a bit and let them play at the beach, unsupervised, for a longer time than they would normally do. The beach wasn't even that far from the hotel they were staying in anyways, and if someone checked on them once in a while, then it was all perfectly fine. But, they still gave them rules that, under no circumstances, were to be broken:
ALWAYS stick together and NEVER wander alone
NEVER leave the beach, not even to go to the shop; if they were hungry or thirsty, then they would come to the hotel
NEVER talk to strangers or agree to leave with them
ALWAYS be home before noon; if not, there would be no more going to the beach for the rest of the vacation
Always use sun cream; no one wants burns after all, do they?
Things went well for the first few days. But, on the fourth day, it all took an unexpected turn. It was around 10 – 10:30 in the morning, and the Tiny Toons were, of course, at the beach. Some were building things from sand, others were swimming or looking for shells and the rest were playing volleyball. That rest consisted of Buster and Babs (one team) and Monty and Elmyra (the other). The game was going pretty well, except for Monty's yelling at Elmyra whenever she missed the ball (which was almost every time), but everyone was already used to that so it was no big deal.
When Elmyra didn't hit the ball again, Monty charged towards her, hands outstretched to strangle. Thankfully, he was quickly stopped by Buster.
"I don't think our mentors would enjoy a dead body when they're trying to relax, Maxie." He hoped the remark would calm the boy a little, but his still-tomato-red face proved it hadn't quite worked. "Listen, why don't we two go after the ball and Babs can stay here and explain to Elmyra again how to hit it properly?"
"That cheese brain wouldn't understand how to open a fridge even if someone showed her how!"
A few harsh lines latter, Monty was finally convinced to go after the ball along with the blue bunny while Babs remained with the redhead.
The ball had surprisingly gotten quite far from where they were playing and they had to look around for a rather long time. Buster was the one who found it, spotting the round thing at the feet of an old man, probably in his sixties. The human bent over and picked the ball up, but was interrupted by a certain someone's shouting.
"Hey, leave that there, you thief! It's ours!"
Buster almost face-palmed. Apparently, Yosemite Sam's constant scolds to not shout at humans "'cause you ain't in Toon Town now!" hadn't reached Max yet. The long-eared toon walked towards the man, the angry boy following close, until they were both standing a two feet away from him.
Buster opened his mouth to form an apology and politely ask for the ball back, but again, Monty beat him to it.
"Didn't ya hear me the first time, dweeb? Give it here!" he shouted, extending his arms.
"Monty! What have we all told you about shouting to humans?"
"And just who do ya think ya are to scold me, carrot breath? My mentor?"
"I am someone who actually learned some manners from his mentor. Plus, the man probably doesn't even speak English. We're in Greece. Or did ya forget?"
"No, of course I didn't, how could I- hey! Are ya saying I'm stupid?"
"I'm not saying anything. Your actions speak for themselves."
"Why you-!"
"Boys, boys, please calm down," the man interfered, speaking with a surprisingly accurate American accent. "I'll give you the ball, there's no need to fight." And with that he tossed it to the young rabbit.
"Thanks, Doc. And sorry for having to see that." The two turned around in order to leave, but their path was quickly blocked.
"Sorry ta hold ya back, kiddos, but I want to ask you something before ya leave." The old man said. Although the request was a little weird, his tone was so polite, that it seemed rude to refuse him.
"Uh, sure, I guess," said Buster a little nervously. "What do you want to ask?"
"Well, I can see that you two are toons. I mean, that's pretty damn obvious. And while that normally wouldn't appal me since I've worked with toons before, I can't help but feel a little… what's the word? Nostalgic when I look at you, especially at you, little bunny."
The young toons raised an eyebrow.
"Let me put it like this. When I look at you, rabbit, from the way you look to the way you talk you remind me of Bugs Bunny himself. And when you called me doc you sounded exactly like him. I was wondering where does the resemblance come from?"
At this question, Buster suddenly looked excited. Anyone who knew him would have guessed by then that it was because he had the chance to brag (not in a mean or arrogant way though) about his mentor.
"Well, my good sir, there is a very good explanation for that. Right now you have in front of you none other than Buster Bunny, Bugs Bunny's apprentice." With that, the toon pulled out of his hammer space a carrot and started chewing it in the same manner the older rabbit might've done it. Near him, Monty rolled his eyes.
The man looked at the kid, his much to blue eyes a little wide in surprise and fascination and a look of intense interest on his wrinkled and pale face. "Interesting… And how come Bugs Bunny has became a tutor?"
"It's for our new show called 'Tiny Toon Adventures'. I am the main star-" he noticed the glare Monty was sending in his direction. "Uh, I mean we -us and the other counterparts- are the stars and we go to a school called Acme Looniversity where the Looney Tunes are our teachers and we learn from them how to be funny. And we also go on crazy adventures together and peform gags on each other and-"
"Wait, wait," the man interrupted him "so you're saying that every Looney Tune has a mini version of himself?"
Buster nodded. "At least the major ones do."
"Sooo someone like… I don't know, Elmer Fudd, for example, has a counterpart?"
"Yes, he does," Monty answered. "But you don't want to meet her, trust me. She's a complete cretin and a horrible volleyball player."
But the stranger didn't seem to note what he said after "yes". Instead, a thoughtful expression crept on his face and he suddenly seemed very detached from the world around him. Buster and Monty, both equaly puzzled, looked at each other, silently agreeing it was time to leave. But as soon as they made a step forward, the man snapped out of whatever trance he was in and cleared his throat.
"Do you think I could meet the others as well? The other young toons I mean. They are here with you, aren't they?"
Monty and Buster exchanged uneasy glances. "Y-yeah, they are," the bunny answered, this time the uneasiness in his voice clear as a bell. "But we are not allowed to talk to strangers or play with them or anything. Our mentors wouldn't be happy if they found out and-"
"Ah, yes I know, I know. Your mentors are absolutely right. Ya shouldn't talk to strangers or accept stuff from them at all. But ya see, I know the Looney Tunes personally. I think you remember that a few minutes ago I said that I used work with toons?" the two nodded. "Well, you see, in the early 60s, when I was 25 years old, I worked at the Warner Bros. Studios for famous directors and animators such as Avery, Freeling, Jones… And I also talked with the Looney Tunes on a regular basis, and sometimes helped them with this and that. We got along pretty good to be honest."
Hearing those words, the anxiety that was starting to grow inside them subsided a bit. If he had worked for their teachers in the past then he couldn't be a total stranger. After all, working directly for people like Tex Avery and Chuck Jones was an important job and he should be treated with respect for that. Didn't their role models taught them to always be polite and appreciate employees who worked around the lot, even if they were not directors, animators, producers or writers? So, why should they make an exception here? Plus, if he had been a good friend of the Looney Tunes, then he deserved to meet the Tiny Toons as well. The older toons would probably want them to get introduced to each other, so why not?
"Okay then!" Buster exclaimed and he could see the elder's face lit up with joy. "Any friend of our mentors is a friend of ours. Just one question: What's your name?"
"Oh, how stupid I can be! Sorry, guys, my name is Taylor. Robert Taylor." Robert extended his hand and shook it with the two boys.
"Well, come on then Robert. We're gonna introduce you to the rest of us."
"I can't wait, Buster. I simply can't wait. Oh, just one thing" He paused for dramatic effect. "Don't tell me who is whose counterpart. I want to figure that out by myself."
Buster chuckled at Robert's words. He was already starting to like the guy, and he could tell by the fact that Monty was now much calmer than before, that the brat was beginning to tolerate the man as well. And just like that, they set off to find the other toons.
