Prologue

Location Unknown

Alan woke up with a raging headache, wondering where he was and how he got there in the first place.

'Last thing I remember is talking with Don about the case he was working on… Oh no, where's Donnie?!' He thought worriedly

"Donnie?" Alan managed to say, weakly as whatever they used to knock them out still made him very tired but he managed to sit up to look around and see if anyone else was with him.

The room was poorly lit and he could barely make out the room, but he could tell the room was actually pretty big and that there didn't appear to be any windows but he could tell there was a door but he didn't have the strength yet to see if it was locked or not.

He then noticed a form that looked like a body that was a few feet from him and that was Alan realized that he found Don, hopefully alive.

"Donnie?" Alan rasped out worriedly, "Can you hear me?"

Alan managed to stand up and walk to his son before collapsing in front of his oldest and checked for a pulse. To his immense relief, he could make out a pulse, weak but it was there, which all that mattered to Alan at the moment.

"Donnie? Son, can you hear me?" Alan asked as he gently shook his son for a few seconds before Don started to stir.

"Dad?" Don asked weakly, "What happened? Last thing I remember was having a drink with you, talking about the case and…"

"I don't know and wasn't Charlie with us at the house?" Alan asked, now worried that both of his sons might be here.

"Yeah, wait… Is he here and, if not, is he okay?" Don asked, now more awake.

Alan looked around and realized, to his relief, that Charlie was not there but it made both men wonder as to where they were and what did their captor or captors want with them.

All Don could think about was that Charlie could be out there and hoped his brother was okay and looking for them with the team.
