Hi everyone.

This is my first real FanFiction. I am currently writing another one as well but the other Fic is just a really short and smutty story for fun. This will be something different. I plan for this to be a really long story. There will be angst, torture, smut, slow burn, hurt, death and more. And be aware that this is a Sevmione story. The first chapter starts of really fluffy and nice but this will change very soon.

Also, English isn't my native language. Everything I wrote until now is in German. But I found out that I prefer writing in English and I think I am rather good at it as well. If you find mistakes, I would welcome a review or anything that helps me to improve this story. And if anyone reads this who is interested in being my Beta…just contact me.

I am currently planning to update this story once a week and probably most of the times on Wednesday. I think the chapters are all going to range between 2000 and 5000 words.

That's it. I hope you'll have fun reading this.

Disclaimer: The characters aren't mine. They belong to J. .

Chapter 1:

Somewhere, someone found something he had been looking for for months. It wasn't as if he didn't have a plan. He had searched everywhere. But he had been sure, that this stupid boy couldn't have hidden it here. At a place that was reachable for everyone. Stupid boy. Now the someone, who found something somewhere could continue with his plan. There wasn't much that could hold him back now. Tomorrow he would face the stupid boy and it will be the stupid boy's demise.

"Happy birthday!"

She had known it. She had known it and still it made her incredibly happy.

"Oh guys. That is so sweet of you." She held out her arms and the two boys and the one girl nearly made her fall when they hugged her.

She giggled and nearly lost all her breath when the arms around her tightened.

"Ok stop, that's enough. Have some mercy. Please."

Ron and Harry let go of her, whereas Ginny continued hugging her.

"I feel like I haven't seen you for years." Said Ginny.

Hermione knew what she meant by that. Ginny had become her best friend. Well…she still had to share this title with Harry and Ron but at least she was her best "girl best friend".

"I missed you too. It is so weird to be at Hogwarts and not seeing you there."

"Hey!" That were Harry and Ron.

Hermione rolled her eyes and smiled at them affectionately.

"It is weird to not see you there as well," she began. "But I got used to only seeing Ginny there for the whole last year. It is your fault that you both decided to become Aurors without repeating the last Hogwarts year." She said accusingly. There was a short period of silence before they all began to laugh. Everyone knew, that Hermione merely mocked the two boys.

"Come. Let's sit down." Said Ron and led them all to the living room of Grimmauldplace 13.

Ron and Harry moved in a year ago and took good care of the house since then. It looked a lot nicer now. It was clean, didn't stink and all in all the house was just absolutely likeable.

The living room wasn't huge but there was a nice fireplace. In front of the fireplace there were a grand couch and two armchairs at either side of the couch.

Ron, Hermione and Ginny all sat down on the comfortable couch, whereas Harry sat down on the carpeted floor and leaned his back against the couch, between Ginny's legs.

Ginny immediately leaned a little bit forward and started playing with Harrys messy hair.

It really wasn't a secret that these two were completely in love with each other. Hermione was very happy for them. Since Hermione and Ginny finally graduated from Hogwarts a few month ago, Harry and Ginny were inseparable.

"Tell us Hermione. How is your apprenticeship going?". Hermione got torn from her thoughts from this question and tried to figure out who had asked her. It was Harry.

That was something Hermione answered with pleasure.

"It is going very well. I love it. Minerva is wonderful and the whole staff is very nice to me. I could probably talk hours about my current project and everything going on but I don't think, transfiguration interests you that much, does it?" she said laughing.

"Not really. But that is probably just because we wouldn't understand a word of what you'd tell us."

"Nevermind, let's not talk about this now. Let's talk later. Now we have presents for you." Ginny said.

Hermione beamed. Her friends were so wonderful.

She had known that they had planned something for her birthday the moment she got the letter from Harry in which he asked her to come to Grimmauldplace this weekend. He obviously intended to sound as if he didn't have a clue about her birthday, so that Hermione would be surprised when she came.

But it was obvious. And naïve. And absolutely adorable.

"Wait a second mate. I have to fetch it." With that, Ron jumped from the couch, out of the room and came back with two large packages a moment later.

He sat down on the couch and Harry stood up and sat himself on the small coffee table which was placed between the fireplace and the couch.

Ron dropped the two passages into her lap and all her three friends looked at her expectantly.

She reached to the package on top and already wanted to start opening it, when Ginny called in. "No no no. Open the other one first."

So, Hermione gave the package on top for Ginny to hold and started opening the other package. It seemed to be a little bit lighter. The wrapping paper was beautiful, with little colorful sprinkles on it.

When she had finished opening it, she had a dark purple material lying on her lap. She picked it up and it fell open. What now was in her hands, was a beautiful, elegant teachers robe.

"Its perfect".

She was very thankful for her friends. They thought about everything. At the moment she made an apprenticeship in transfigurations under Minerva McGonnagall and part of this apprenticeship was teaching classes. At least in a few months when she was a little bit further in her apprenticeship. Furthermore, McGonnagall told her that she didn't plan to teach much longer. Her plan was to concentrate on her job as headmistress and offer the job of transfigurations teacher to Hermione the moment she achieved her Mistress title. So, she really needed teacher robes. Of course, she had bought herself some already but they couldn't compete with what she held in her hands right now.

"Thank you, guys. So much."

She carefully folded the robes and laid them on the coffee table next to Harry before she turned, to hug all of them dearly.

"Open the next one!" Ginny said excitedly.

Hermione directed her attention back to the second package in her lap, that she had already started to open. She carefully tugged on the wrapping paper and opened the second gift.

It was a book.

At least she thought so, until she turned it around and saw the moving picture on the front. It was a photo album.

The picture on the front showed Hermione, Ginny, Harry and Ron all arm in arm on a sunny day in the garden of Grimmauldplace. In the background were some tables and chairs and when she looked closely, she could even make out George, Bill, Lavender, Fleur and Molly sitting there talking about whatever. The picture was of course moving and so at first all four friends laughed into the camera, but after a second, or two, Ginny turned around to give Harry a peck on his cheek and Ron started tickling Hermione.

She remembered that day vividly. It had been the first day after graduation from Hogwarts and therefore the start of the summer break.

The whole Weasley gang was invited to Grimmauldplace and everyone was led on to bring someone with them.

Ron had brought Lavender, his lovely girlfriend of nearly a year with him. Bill had brought Fleur. Logically. Ginny and Harry were at Grimmauldplace anyways.

George had brought no one. He still grieved because of Fred. But he was doing well enough. He had managed to reopen the shop a few months ago and the popularity of it was unbeaten from any other shop in Diagon Alley.

Percy and Charlie had brought someone as well. Percy had brought Penelope. And Charlie…well Charlie had brought Adan. Adan was a nice bloke Charlie met at Romania. Apparently, they had dated for a few months before that day already. Charlie had come out as gay around easter. It hadn't been much of a shock for anyone and Adan really was nice.

This day had been supposed to be kind of a party; Harry and Ron had absolved their first year of Auror training. Ginny just recently got an invitation from the Holyhead Harpies to come to their try outs. And Hermione's NEWT results, that she got the day before, on graduation day, contained nothing but Os and she had scored so well, that she was one of the best graduators in the last 100 years of Hogwarts-History. Furthermore, Minerva had asked her the day before about the apprenticeship.

So, all in all there had been a lot to celebrate.

There had been music, food, nice drinks and a lot to talk about.

The picture, Hermione remembered, had been shot by Arthur.

"Open it!" came an excited voice from her side.

Eagerly Hermione opened the album. It was full of pictures taken in the last year. Most of them, admittedly, in the last summer break. Under every picture was a short text about when and where it was shot.

"Go to the end!" Ron demanded.

"Stop Ron, don't be so hasty." Ginny said reprovingly.

Hermione chuckled and went to the end, just like Ron wanted her to.
There were two full pages. On the left side were many little fotos, that must have been taken years ago. On some of them Hermione estimated herself to be only around twelve.

On the right side, there was a letter.

Hermione started reading it and got teary eyes after not even 10 seconds.

Hi Hermione,

You can't believe how often we already tried to find the right words to write down here. We still don't agree on what to write here if we are being honest.

So…the most important thing at the beginning: we love you.

We are very thankful, that you are a part of our life. You are the best friend we could wish for…even if you are sometimes an annoying pain in the ass. Damn, Ginny wants me to cross out the last sentence. I just told her I won't. Otherwise, I hardly would be the famous Harry Potter-boy-who-lived-a-thousand-times.

Ok…back to the serious stuff. We hope, that you like the photo album. We wanted to make something special for your 20th birthday. Something that will help you to always have a part of us by your side, even if we can't see each other daily…or weakly…or monthly.

Do you remember all we went through together? Look on the other side. We found some pictures from the good old days. The one there, at the top of the page in the left corner. That one is us in third grade in the common room pondering over divination homework. Ok, to be honest, it is Ron and I who are pondering. You were probably beating us up because we finished the homework in the last moment possible. Now I am sitting here, and thinking that you were right on beating us up. Well…not in divination but in general. Divination is crap. When Ron and I started Auror training we didn't finish our essays in time…several times.

Let's move on. Do you see the picture that is more or less in the middle? That is us on the yule ball in fourth grade. We have really been jerks. Sorry, belatedly.

By the way…you really looked splendid. I mean…you always look great, but the dress was really beautiful. Ok, Ginny says I have to move on. There on the right side is the picture of us three hugging. Do you see it? I think this one is my favourite. We all look so very happy on this picture.

I think we should come to an end. There isn't much space left on this page and all in all our point is already made.

Just always remember that we love you. No matter what.

With love,

Ginny, Ron and Harry

When Hermione finished the letter there were traces of tears of joy on her cheeks and she was smiling broadly.

"I love y'all too."

She closed the book and immediately felt many arms hugging her.

She started laughing hard just because she was happy to have such great friends and the others joined her.

After they all calmed down and Hermione once again thanked them for the beautiful gifts, they started to talk again. About the pictures, about Ginny's try outs with the Holyhead Harpies, about Hogwarts and of course about Harry's and Ron's Auror training.

"It's great." Said harry. "We learn a lot really useful stuff. We are very good, aren't we, mate?"

"Yeah." Answered Ron.

"Most of the times we don't struggle too hard when we duel with our trainers. Well…I imagine that they don't duel with us as if they would duel with a real enemy but I think we will make pretty decent Aurors in a few years." Harry smirked.

"At least we are better than most of the other trainees." Hermione could hear that Harry was very proud of himself and Ron and she was proud of them as well. You don't survive a war without gaining a lot of dueling experience.

"That's true. But Hermione, I have to tell you something. It's hilarious."

"No please don't tell her that, Ron." Harry groaned.

"Be happy that I didn't tell her right away when it happened but I think now would be the perfect opportunity."

Harry just groaned and propped his head dramatically into his hands.

Obviously, Ron had something really great to tell and Hermione got very interested. She turned to Ginny with a questioning look as if to ask her if she knew what was going on but she just shook her head. Obviously, Harry didn't even tell Ginny. Probably because he feared, that she would tell Hermione.

"Ok, hear me out girls." Ron started. "Month ago, just after we started Auror training, Harry and I got our first small case. I think it was around October or November. I and Harry were a team and two other trainees formed another team. Harry and I got to the corner near Diagon Alley were someone reported a thief. The other team was supposed to wait outside of Florish and Blotts. It really was a small case. The thief allegedly stole a bunch of books from Florish and Blotts. So, our dear Harry spotted him first and confronted him. It was obvious that this was the thief. He held the bunch of books in his arms. Stupid if you ask me. He could have just shrinked them. Nevermind. When Harry started with Expelliarmus the thief immediately let go of the books and cast a shielding charm. I wanted to help Harry but the thief sent a Stupor my way and…well. I was hit right on the chest. I didn't see much of what happened after but what I saw was hilarious. The thief defeated Harry with no effort at all. The duel was really short and the thief only used Expelliarmus. The shield charms form Harry didn't really stand a chance. All he could do was dodging. He looked like a stranded whale. Naturally the thief got Harry in no time at all. And that was it. Harry's wand clattered to the floor, and the thief apparated away. The books on the floor. When I could move again and sat up, a buffled Harry sat in front of me on his ass and his hair looked electrified."

"I don't think it's that funny." grumbled Harry.

"Yes, it is. You should have seen how you looked while dodging." Ron said while he stood up from the couch and then started to make weird movements all over the living room. He very much looked like a stranded whale. A stranded whale who tried to dance on his floss while pairing with an Urangutan.

Hermione and Ginny started to laugh outright. Ron continued, spurred on by the laughters and soon even Harry started laughing.

Ron stepped on the coffee table, so that Harry had to stand up and sit down on one of the two armchairs.

The laughters of Hermione, Ginny and Harry stopped, when the fire in the fireplace turned green and a completely ruffled and horrified Lavender stepped into the room. All that could be heard were the sounds that Ron still made until he noticed that the other three had gone silent.
