Eren Yeager pressed his back against the wall to keep himself concealed within the dark shadows. He clutched his sword firmly in his hands, preparing to use it on the adversary who was coming his way. The young solider was preparing a surprise attack, confident who he was going to use it on would not see it coming.
He had absolutely had it with these Titans. These giant, human-eating monsters had ruined humanity for far too long. Eren was deeply pissed off with them all. He hated every single last one of them. Every since they had wrecked his old hometown and killed his mother, he had vowed to wipe them all from existence.
It was time for this one Titan that was approaching to go. Eren firmed his grip on his weapon. He was bracing himself to jump out from the dark alleyway he was hiding in to deliver a great blow to the beast with his sword.
"Okay, Titan," Eren muttered through gritted teeth. "Time for you to die..."
The Titan's shadow came into view on the ground.
That was the signal for Eren to make his move.
"AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!"
With a fearsome roar, the young swordsman leapt out from his hiding place. He hurled through the air, yelling in all his anger and hatred for the Titan as he intently drew out his weapon.
Slash!
With one swift whip of his sword, Eren successfully struck his target. He watched as his opponent fell back from the mighty blow he had delivered. The young troop landed down on his feet, taking in the Titan he had just launched a solo attack on.
"Oh, sorry, dude!" he cried. "Didn't mean to hit you! I thought you were a Titan coming after me!"
What Eren had battered with his weapon was no Titan.
Kirigaya Kazuto groaned in pain as he clutched the wound Eren had given to him on his face.
The youthful warrior had not expected this new environment he had found himself into to be so brutal. He could easily fight his way through Sword Art Online - but the enemies he encountered within this walled-off city were something else.
Kirito glared fiercely at the one who had hit him.
"Wanna fight me, do ya?" he hollered, drawing out his own weapon and running towards Eren. "I'll show ya!"
Eren made his move quickly, raising his sword to block Kirito's blade from striking him. The night air was quickly filled with the sounds of slashing and striking as the two mercenaries fenced off against one another.
Not at all how one would expect a meeting between these two legends would go...
