So hey, my first fanfic up in here. Still have to learn the controls, so excuse me if this looks any weird. Anyways, on with the story!
As Taiga remembered the good times she had with Ryuuji, including the times she insulted and attacked him, she thinks about how Ryuuji would join her best friend, Minori Kushieda, at the party. Maybe they'll hit it off. But there's just one downside: The tiger won't be alongside her dragon anymore.
"I can't...bear that!" The small girl cried out as she now cannot control the streams of tears running down her face. Hoping she'd catch Ryuuji, she storms out of her apartment, panting as she thinks to herself: "Please...be there...stay...". Alas, as she looked around frantically, she was alone.
Of course, her heart was broken. Overcome with loneliness, she whispers out the blue haired boy's name before shouting his name into the night sky "RYUUJI!!!". Still, no one came, leaving Taiga to fall to her knees and weep Ryuuji's name over and over. There was something she didn't notice though.
On her right side, albeit distanced enough for Taiga not to notice, was her best friend, Minorin, who was just about to go to the Christmas party, yet she was just in time to see her best friend's small figure on her knees as Taiga was weeping for the boy Minori also loved, although secretly. The pink haired girl definitely was in shock and filled with sorrow as Taiga liked Ryuuji, just like Minori did. But there are two things Minori knew: Taiga doesn't just love Ryuuji, she needs him. Also, Minorin hated seeing her best friend like that.
On the light brown haired girl's left side, also distanced and around a corner, was the boy she called out for all the time, Ryuuji Takasu, still in the bear Santa costume he used to surprise Taiga not even 5 minutes ago. He also was on the way to the party, as Taiga told him to go. Yet, once he heard her desperate cry, he couldn't help but look on at the small teenager.
Both simply whispered "Taiga..." as they run towards her, Minorin immediately embracing Taiga as Ryuuji puts a hand on the Palmtop Tiger's right shoulder.
Taiga immediately removes her hands from her face, looking at Minorin, then Ryuuji. Once she realized she wasn't alone anymore, she started crying again as she buried her face into Minorin's winter jacket. "I'm sorry..." She muttered as she keeps sobbing, tears starting to well up in Minorin's eyes as well as she hugged Taiga. "No...I was stupid...you deserve him!" Minorin cries out as Taiga sniffles, looking at her best friend who has tears streaming down her face as well. "The thing is...I love Takasu too!"
As Minorin said these words, Ryuuji can't help but widen his eyes and mutter a quiet "Kushieda..." as Minori explains. "But I can't live with myself if I take Takasu away from you! You need him!" The pink haired girl says while sobbing, Taiga's eyes filling with tears again. "But..." She tried to protest as the taller girl snaps at Taiga. "NO BUTS! I know Takasu is in love with me too, but, Takasu..." Minori says as she looks into Ryuuji's eyes, pleading Ryuuji to let Minori go.
Ryuuji would sigh, getting Taiga's attention as she faces him with a worried expression, hoping he wouldn't let go of Kushieda after all they've been through, but also hoping he would choose Taiga herself. "Taiga," the boy finally speaks up "I know we've done a lot to matchmake me and Kushieda, but the honest truth is..." The dragon says as he gulps. "I JUST CAN'T LET YOU GO! YOU'RE A PART OF ME!", the sorrow evident in every word he said, something which isn't as usual coming from Takasu.
"R-Ryuuji..." Taiga mutters as the dragon doesn't waste any time, immediately kissing his tiger, who has her eyes wide open in shock, passionately. He shields his face after the kiss, preparing for an attack from the Palmtop Tiger. Buuut...
"One more time." She coos out sweetly, shocking Ryuuji, yet he was never one to turn down his tiger's wishes from the beginning. Once again, they kiss as Ryuuji cups Taiga's cheek, all the while Minori keeps on looking at the Tiger and her Dragon proudly like a parent.
As they stop kissing, Taiga smiles at Minorin in a bashful manner. "Sorry again..." She mutters as Kushieda chuckles. "Hey, you're happy." She says as she tightly embraces the small girl. "That's all that counts." She adds as Taiga smiles, returning the embrace.
Ryuuji suddenly speaks up. "Uhm...I don't wanna ruin this moment, but it's getting very cold. My little klutz won't survive in this cold that long." He says with a chuckle as the Tiger and the Dragon look at each other in a loving manner, Minori looking at her best friend's dress from the party. "You're right!" She says with a giggle as Ryuuji picks up Taiga in a bridal manner, all three ready to go to Takasu's home to eat some pork cutlets. "By the way, what's with this suit?" Minori asks as Ryuuji chuckles. "Well, I surprised Taiga while dressed as a Santa bear and she was all happy and joyful, like a toddler."
...That's what Ryuuji would've said if Taiga hadn't let out her typical "ORRRRYA" yell and attacked him while he was talking. Once a tsundere, always a tsundere...
