This is a Gamer Story playing in the universe of Star Wars. I assume you are at least somewhat familiar with both of them.

Teth, Wild Space

On a remote jungle planet located in the wild space, a young man of 17 years stood on a branch of a tree a large tree. In his hands was binocular with which he used to observe a large, run-down castle. What he saw on the castle walls were two battalions of B1 Battle Droids.

"What do you see from up there, Commander?" an ARF trooper going by the name Hawkeye asked me from the bottom of the tree.

"There are at least two battalions of B1 Battle Droids from what I can see," I replied as I scanned the area on top of the wall once again.

"Two battalions, huh? It shouldn't be that hard to take care of them then," the second ARF, Butcher, stated confidently in the abilities of himself and his brothers.

"What about the Bounty Hunters you trailed?" I asked as I jumped down from a height that a normal human would never be able to.

"Entered the fortress. I doubt that they'll make it out alive," Hawkeye reported.

"I guess were are done here then," I said hearing this. "We should return to the orbit and wait for the main force."

"Can't a powerful Jedi like yourself take care of a few clankers?" Butcher asked.

"I'm not a Jedi... I'm a Padawan. Also, Jedi aren't all mighty. A blaster shot through the chest should off most of us as well," I replied as I touched the lightsaber on my belt. "Anyway, time to report what we saw."

"Understood, Commander!" Hawkeye said dutifully.

"Whatever, you say," Butcher added and the three of us headed back to our ship.

It did take us around half an hour to return to the ship which we had landed fairly far away from the castle to avoid detection. As soon as we did reach it, the three of us entered and took off. As Hawkeye was flying us into the orbit where we would meet with the main force a text popped up in front of me.

[Reward: 750 EXP, 2 Skill Points]

With a simple thought, I dismissed the notification and close my eyes to enjoy what might be the last few quiet minutes in my short life. With this in mind, I thought back on how I got into the situation I was in.

'What the heck have I gotten myself into. A couple of days ago I was just another Gamer sitting in my room enjoying my favorite video games of the Star Wars franchise and now... now I am [The Gamer] and have to fight in the actual Clone Wars.'

?, Somewhere on Earth

It was a Saturday like any other. I enjoyed the day by playing a game of my favorite franchise, Star Wars. The game I played was a true gem that even after two decades was still worth playing... this game was called "Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic". Normally, I would have never played such an old game if it weren't for a friend of mine who showed it to me. I can only recommend it to those who haven't played it.

I had just finished the game looking at the ending... the Dark Side ending. Personally, I always preferred the Dark Side over the Light Side. It had cooler and more powerful abilities. Another reason was that I preferred the philosophy of the Dark Side over that of the Jedi. I for one would never give up my emotions and become a puppet who serves the force.

As I lied back to watch the credits of the masterpiece, I already looked forward to the second game of the series. However, my friend did tell me that it wasn't as good as the first. I would judge the game only after I have played it for myself... maybe I enjoy it even more than the first. But after the credits run down something unexpected happened. A text which normally shouldn't have appeared did appear on the screen of my PC.

[Did you enjoy playing this Star Wars RPG? If yes would you be interested in partaking in an even bigger adventure?]

[Yes/No]

"What the heck? That certainly shouldn't be in an almost twenty-year-old game," I said as I looked at the two sentences on my screen. "Have they added it in through one of the updates to enhance it?"

I thought about it for a few seconds but then decided that I would click the [Yes] option. I was truly intrigued by the prospect of playing another Star Wars RPG... and I could also be sure that this was alright since I never downloaded anything from external sources.

[That very good. Then let me first give you a short explanation of the game.]

[The game will give you the chance to dive into an Era of War, into the so-called Clone Wars. In this game, you will create an original character that can be part of the Republic or Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, you are not forced to play the entire game on the side you have chosen in the beginning. Instead, you can switch your allegiance depending on the choices you make. You don't even have to play an active role in the war. You could become a Diplomat who influences the war through the Senat, or maybe an engineer who develops a new weapon that turns the tide of war. Of course, you could also work offside the law by working as a Bounty Hunter or Smuggler. Naturally, you have the popular option to become a Jedi or Sith. Does this sound interesting to you?]

[Yes/No]

"That sounds pretty awesome! If that is true then this game could be far superior to KOTRO or SWTOR... but why have I not heard about the development of such a game? Oh well, I can give it a try and if it turns out to be a bad game I will forget about it soon enough," I said clicking the [Yes] option again.

[Final Question! Would you like to have extra content through the "Legacy of Revan" add-on? By using this add-on your character will become a descendent of DarthRevan himself. This guarantees your character access to the force as well as the chance to located multiple legacy Items and Bonus Quests which can have a big impact on the story.]

[Yes/No]

Having just finished KOTOR and having become a total fan of the Revan lore, I clocked the [Yes] button without giving it a second thought.

[Now that everything has been confirmed you can start with the character creation. The first decision is also the most important since it will determine much of your character build as well as the story you have to follow in the beginning.]

[Please select a Background]

[Padawan (Republic): Padawans are Force-sensitive of the Jedi Order trained under a Jedi Knight or Master. In the current times of the Clone Wars, they serve as military commanders of clone troopers.

-Jedi Training: You will start at Level 3 instead of the normal Level 1 and have already mastery in Form I.

-Lightsaber: As a Padawan, a Lightsaber will be part of your standard equipment.]

[Acolyte (CIS): The Dark Side counterpart of a Jedi Padawan. In the current times of the Clone Wars, they served directly under Count Dooku.

-Sith Training: You will start at Level 5 instead of the normal Level 1 and already have mastery in Form of your choosing.

-Lightsaber: As an Acolyte, a Lightsaber will be part of your standard equipment.]

[Diplomat (Republic/CIS): A diplomat is someone involved in diplomacy, the art and practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of groups or states.

-Mechanical Assistant: You will be in possession of a personal Protocol Droid at the start of the game.

-Talent for Talking: What is the most important Talent a Diplomat must have? Obviously is arguing and deceiving other people. (You will gain +1 in "Charisma" and +3 in "Persuade".)]

[Smuggler (Independent): A smuggler, also known by the euphemism free trader, was someone who engaged in the clandestine shipment of goods or people to prevent taxation or some other impediment. The goods shipped were often highly illegal or banned in some sectors. Weapon smugglers were referred to as gun runners.

-Trust Ship: Smugglers are known to have some of the most unique and fastest ships in the universe. (You'll start with your own Ship that you can choose from a small selection.)

-I shoot first: Being a smuggler gets you involved in fights than not. It is always better to have a trust blaster. (You will get a Blaster of a random Rarity for the start.)

-Stay out of troubles: Being a smuggler you have to get out of troublesome situations. It helps to stay undetected as well as being able to talk your way out of situations. (You start with Stealth and Persuade +2.)]

There were even more options like a Republic or CIS Officer, Bounty Hunter, Spy, a Nobel, and even chef. I counted a total of more than 50 different backgrounds and to tell the truth, I was too lazy to read through all of them. After the first 20 or so I decided to go with a Force Sensitive background since I thought I will have the most fun playing such a character. Now there was only the decision between choosing the Side... and I preferred the Dark Side which also had the better boosts for my character. However, I wasn't sure if this would be the best option. If I would become an Acolyte then I would learn from Count Dooku which is great, but there is a higher chance that they try to kill me if I grow too strong, too fast. Also, if I ever want to leave to do my own thing I would get hunted down and killed. Considering this the Padawan Class could be more advantageous in the long run.

After I decided on Padawan as my background the list vanished and got replaced by a new screen which displayed a very standard-looking human on half my screen while the other was filled with stats. Finding it more important to have good stats than good looks, I decided to focus on them first. The first thing I had to fill out was the name, race, and gender. I could choose any of them freely with the exception of the surname which was set Shan due to the "Legacy of Revan" add-on.

[Name: Varen Shan]

[Race: Human]

[Gender: Male]

In the end, I decided to be a human and male which was rather standard. As for the name... since my character is a descendant of Darth Revan I decided to use an anagram of Revan. Next would be the Status which had a short explanation of what each does.

[Status]

[HP: The Health Points the character possesses. If the HP of a character hits 0 the character will perish. In this Game there are no second chances.]

[FP: The Force Points a character possesses. These points are used by a character to use Force Abilities if one hasn't enough for a certain Ability then they can't use the ability. The FP is set by the midi-chlorian a being possesses and can be increased through natural means. (As a descendant of Revan one of the most powerful Force Sensitives ever you will have one of the highest FP in the entire Galaxy.]

[STR: Strength measures physical power. A high Strength adds modifiers to melee damage and chance to hit, which is important for characters that use close-combat weapons.]

[DEX: Dexterity measures agility and reflexes. A high Dexterity adds modifiers to ranged attack and increases a character's Defense, making them harder to hit.]

[CON: Constitution represents health and resiliency. A high Constitution adds modifiers to the HP gained at each level-up. Constitution also determines what types of implants the character can equip.]

[INT: Intelligence represents knowledge and reasoning. A high Intelligence adds modifiers to the number of points a character has to spend on essential skills.]

[WIS: Wisdom represents willpower and perception. A high Wisdom adds modifiers to Force Power. The Force Powers of a Force User with high Wisdom is also much harder to resist.]

[Cha: A high Charisma increasing the potency of a character's Force Powers. It also reduces the penalty when using Force Powers of an opposing alignment (a light side character with a high Charisma can use dark side powers with less of a penalty), and a high Charisma also gives your companions boosts.]

This took me quite a bit of time until I have decided on what build I would go with... in the end, I decided to go with a jack-of-all-trades build with the points I could use.

[Status]

[Level 3]

[EXP: 0/3.000]

[HP: 450/450]

[FP: 920/920]

[STR: 7]

[DEX: 10]

[CON: 9]

[INT: 8]

[WIS: 8]

[CHA: 10]

I originally planned to increase my DEX to 12 and leave my CHA at 8. Sadly, from 10 onwards it would have cost me two instead of one point to increase a stat. Because of this, I decided to put my two remaining points into CHA to make sure that I would get the max total stats. Also, being able to use Light and Dark Side Abilities easier even if my Alignment is to the other can be rather useful, the same goes for the deceiving people.

Having finished my Status I continued with my character's appearance. I played around a bit with the appearance until I finally decided to do it seriously. I decided to give my character an unusual silver hair color which I thought looked cool and emerald green eyes. Personally, I thought that my character looked alright in the brown, standard robe of the Jedi Order. With this, I was satisfied and continued with the next part of the character creation... the Skills.

[Skills]

[Skill are abilities that can be increased with the use of Skill Points, but the fastest way to improve is to actually train. If you want your character to improve a certain Skill fast you just have to put in the time to train them. To give you an example, as a Jedi you have to train in order to learn the different Lightsaber Forms and the Force Powers which also fall under this category.]

The Skills I would choose are probably more important than the Status itself. As a character who will start as a Padawan, I had access to the different Lightsaber Forms, Force Abilities, and different abilities only available for Jedi's. Again considering the War my character would be placed in I spend most of my character's Skill Points on fighting-related abilities.

[Skills]

Lightsaber Combat:

-Form I: Shii-Cho (24/100)

-Form III: Soresu (20/100)

-Form VI: Niman (29/100)

Piloting (23/100)

Universal Force Abilities:

-Force Jump (14/100)

-Force Push/Pull (21/100)

-Force Speed (9/100)

-Mind Trick (6/100)

Ligh Side Force Abilities:

-Droid Disable (10/100)

I decided on these three out of the seven Lightsaber Forms because I thought they would be the most useful for me. Form I is the base for any other style and gives me a good foundation for any future training. It also is one of the best Forms for fighting multiple opponents which will happen quite often against the Droid Armies. As for Form III, it is the most defensive of the seven forms which will make its user near invincible when mastered. However, the downside of this Form is its total lack of offensive capabilities resulting in prolonged battles. The final Lightsaber Form I wanted my character to have experience with was Form VI. Due to its "jack-of-all-trades" nature, the success of this form was largely dependent on the practitioner's intuition, improvisation, and creativity in combat rather than the rote responses derived from other forms. Form VI was not really the most worthy to study, but in general, it was the most practical. This is why I decided to make Form VI the main Form of my character.

As for why I put something in Piloting... this is Star Wars and I want to be able to fly a Spaceship.

Finally were the Force Abilities where I deiced to go with the Universal Abilities instead of getting one's that are more efficient when aligned with a certain Side of the Force. I got myself Force Jump and Speed to increase my body functions for mobility as well as fights. Force Push/Pull was a very versatile ability that could actually do a lot of damage. In my opinion Force Push/Pull was the most basic, but one of the most useful abilities. Then there was the Mind Trick which could prove useful if I want to avoid a fight. As for Droid Disable... most of my foes will be Droids, so it is only natural to choose something like this.

With this, I had finished my character creation and all that was left to do was to go over my character a final time to make sure I didn't miss anything. Satisfied with the way I created my character I confirmed that I would like to play this character.

[Character Creation completed! As a result of you choosing Padawan as your background you will start in the Jedi Temple a day before you would take your final Trial which would determine your Jedi Master.]

"A day before the final Trial? Sounds like I will have a small tutorial before I get assigned to a master," I said looking forward to it.

[Please enjoy the Game.]

Following this my screen shut down much to my surprise and I immediately tried to turn it back on. However, as I did that I received a powerful static shock which was enough to make me lose my consciousness.

Resolute, Orbit of Teth

It didn't take long for us to get back to the Resolute, the flagship of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. When our ship arrived the strike team had already started to assemble. Immediately after our arrival on the ship General Skywalker approached us.

"Lieutenant, have the kidnappers see you?" General Skywalker immediately asked the more experience trooper instead of me.

"No sir! We are the best scouts in the regiment," Hawkeye immediately replied before adding. "And the Commander was really helpful as well."

"Good hear," Skywalker said looking at me before focusing on Hawkeye again. "What about the Bounty Hunters? Still down there?"

"I don't think so. We haven't seen them in a while," Hawkeye immediately answered.

"Well, what are we up against?" Skywalker asked Hawkeye, but I replied.

"There are at least two Droid Battalions on the monastery," I said getting out a holo device to show a holo of the monastery. "It has been heavily fortified, sir. There is no way we would be able to land there."

"Good work," Skywalker said looking at me with an acknowledging nod. "Now get some rest troopers. Padawan, you are coming with me."

"It was a pleasure working with you Commander," Hawkeye said as I nodded at him before following General Skywalker.

"So, you are Padawan Varen?" Skywalker asked as we walked over to a group of clones.

"That's correct, Master Skywalker," I replied as I walked beside R2-D2.

"I'm put in charge of you for the rest of the mission due to your Master having to go to Tatooine," Skywalker stated. "Are you ready to head down again?"

"I'm," I gave a short reply.

"Are you certain? It is no problem if you are too tired after spending the last few days down there," Skywalker said wanting to avoid risking my life.

"I am, sir. Hawkeye and Butcher were the ones who did most of the scouting today while I rest most of the time to make sure I'm in a good condition when we attack," I replied.

"Good, then better get ready," he said as we reached a group of troopers who were surrounding another young padawan. This Padawan was Ahsoka Tano, one of the main characters in the Clone Wars series and apparently a good friend of mine.

"That sounds like a lot... even for a Jedi," a clone said to Ahsoka.

"I heard you were surrounded by droids. Who did you've got the shield down?" another asked her.

"Okay, so there is a wall behind him with a hole in the middle. So, I pull the wall down on top of the droids destroying them! Saving the Jedi!" Ahsoka said proudly and the clones started to laugh.

"Is that true, sir?" a clone trooper I recognized as Captain Rex asked the General.

"Well... most of it," General Skywalker admitted.

"And who is the kid beside you?" another clone asked the General.

"This is Varen, the Padawan of General Kenobi. He will support us during the attack on the monastery," Skywalker introduced me to the clones. "Alright, men. We still got a job to do."

"Yes, sir," Captain Rex replied before turning to his troops. "You heard the General. Move it!"

As soon as Rex gave the order the group dissolved and every one of them prepared for the attack on the monastery. The only ones remaining there were Anikan, Ahsoka, and myself. I really felt out of place and remained quiet.

"Would this be a good time to teach you that Jedi is humble, my young Padawan?" Skywalker asked in a way that doesn't request an answer.

"Sorry, just trying to keep the boys inspired and all," Ahsoka replied.

"Well then, I leave it to you to show Padawan Varen where everything is," Skywalker said walking away to help with the final preparations for the attack.

"Leave it to me, master," Ahsoka said before she turned to me. She smiled at me before she punched my shoulder which actually did hurt a little bit. "I didn't expect we would be working on a mission together this soon."

"Same," I said rubbing my shoulder. "However, I think we will have a lot more missions together considering that Master Anikan and Obi-Wan are often working together closely."

"I think that's great!" Ahsoka stated delightedly.

"Yeah," I replied thinking back to how I first met her.

Varen, Jedi-Temple on Coruscant (several days earlier)

"Hey, Varen! Varen!" a voice I didn't recognize called out to me.

"Uh…" I moaned as not feeling like getting up.

"Get up already!" the voice demanded shortly before I was thrown out of my bed.

"Ahh!" I let out as I hit the ground. This finally made me open my eyes and see something I never had expected. In front of me stood a female alien who looked strangely familiar… she looked like a Togruta from the Star Wars Universe. Seeing this I was about to freak out, but before I could something strange happened.

[Gamer Mind activates.]

After this text appeared I suddenly calmed down and looked at the Togruta in front of me.

"What's the matter Varen? Bite your tongue?" the girl asked with a smile on her face. As she said that a second screen popped up.

[Observation has been activated.]

And in the next moment windows appeared around the alien girl's face with all kinds of information.

[Name: Ahsoka Tano]

[Title: Lightsaber Prodigy]

[Race: Togruta]

[Gender: Female]

[Status]

[Level 5]

[HP: 400/400]

[FP: 580/580]

[STR: 9]

[DEX: 13]

[CON: 8]

[INT: 10]

[WIS: 6]

[CHA: 8]

'Wait for a second! Ahsoka Tano!' I screamed in my mind before my Gamer Mind calmed me down again. 'This must be some kind of dream. I mean one minute I was creating my character Varen… wait a second didn't she call me Varen? No, this just can't be! Did I really become the character I created and part of the Star Wars Universe?'

"What's the matter with you? Why are you staring at me like this?" Ahsoka asked me as if we were old acquaintances.

"No reason… I'm just not fully awake yet," I replied calmly as I got up.

"Then you better hurry up and get ready," Ahsoka said to me with a smile. "Don't tell me you have forgotten that today you'll have your final exam and that I'm leaving to meet with my master!"

New Quest!

[Quest: Final Exam]

[Objectives:

( ) Pass the Combat Test and reach the Rank of Padawan.]

[Rewards: 500 Credits; 1.250 EXP; Title: Padawan]

[Bonus Objectives:

( ) See Ahsoka off when she heads to the front lines.]

[Bonus Reward: 500 EXP]

"Don't worry, I didn't forget Snips," I replied as if it was the most normal thing in the galaxy.

"You know that I hate that nickname you gave me," Ahsoka said rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"And you know I don't care," I said with a smile.

"Why do I even bother to wake you up?" she asked shaking her head.

"Because we are friends," I said having memories that Ahsoka and I had been close friends for years.

"Just get dressed so we can eat breakfast," Ahsoka said as she left the room, so I could change into my regular clothes. As I was changing into them I had to think about a lot of stuff.

'Is this for real? Or just a dream? Did I seriously become a Gamer and part of the Star Wars Universe?' I asked myself as I went through the room to gather my clothes and change into them. 'If this is really the case then it certainly isn't that bad. The only problem I have with this situation is that there is the possibility of me dying in the Clone Wars... or during Order 66.' As I thought about the Clone Wars and the future of the Jedi, I changed into simple clothes that were worn by many humans in the temple.

'Considering that Ahsoka is not Anakin's Padawan yet, I should have around 3 years until Order 66 happens. That should be enough time to either change the outcome... or to just abandon the sinking ship. The system of the Jedi during the Clone Wars and years before was stupid anyway. For now, I should focus on attaining more power and the best way to do so is learning all I can from the Jedi,' I thought to myself as I attached my Lightsaber to my belt. 'Time to start my life as a Jedi...'

When I stepped out of my room Ahsoka was already standing there impatiently tapping with her foot.

"About time! Now let's get some breakfast," she said as soon as I exited my room.

"Sure, lead the way," I said as she started to lead me through the Jedi Temple.

The next couple of minutes Ahsoka led me through the halls of the famous Jedi Temple on Coruscant. It was truly a sight that took away someone's breath, but it just hadn't a big impact on me since I had Varen's memories from the temple. It felt like nothing special when I walked through these halls. So, instead of focusing on the temple, I listened to Ahsoka who was talking about how excited she was to become a Padawan. She told me all about what she knew about her new Master Anakin Skywalker and his achievements. She was so excited to finally leave the Jedi Temple and fight on the frontlines. We soon arrived at the Cafeteria where we would get a very simple breakfast like every morning.

"I'll talk all the way about the Master I was assigned to... now why don't we talk about which Master you would like to learn under?" Ahsoka asked as we set down.

"The person who I would like to study under the most?" I asked thinking about it for a moment. "My first choice would probably be Master Yoda."

"Yeah, but that's certainly not going to happen. He is the Grandmaster of the Order and has too little time for a Padawan," Ahsoka said what I already knew. "Give me a more realistic answer!"

"Then I would like to learn under Master Windu or Master Kenobi," I said before I ate some of my bread. I thought that with Windu as a Master I could maybe learn the Vaapad variation of Form VII he had developed and the Force Ability Shatterpoint he was capable of using. As for why I would want to study under Master Kenobi... I had the most knowledge about his missions which was something I could abuse. Also, he was one of the greatest Jedi and could teach me a thing or two.

"Yeah, both of them are great Jedis Masters and many of us want to be taught by them," Ahsoka said after she heard the names of the masters. "Master Windu is strict, but a very talented Jedi only second to Master Yoda. And if you would be assigned to Master Kenobi then there's a huge chance we can work together."

"Yeah, it would be great if we could fight together," I said with a smile.

Well, that was the first chapter of my Star Wars Gamer Story. With do you guys think? You could leave a Review to tell me your opinion or if you enjoyed it you could follow this story. Also, I decided that Ahsoka would be two years older in this story, making her 16 during the start the same as Varen.

Anyway, I'm sure some of you guys have questions regarding the Stats. The leveling works like this; for every Level Up a character, gains exactly 1 Stat Point to ensure that they don't get too crazy stats. Most characters wouldn't survive a precise blaster shot or cut with the lightsaber and so giving one abnormal stats just wouldn't make sense. Instead, I will focus more on Skills.

As for HP and FP, they won't get past 1.000 in most cases. Like I said before mostly one hit can end a life in Star Wars making it unnecessary for an enormous amount of HP. As for FP, as I mentioned in the story it is set from the beginning and there are no natural means to increase it. However, through the use of artifacts or Rituals, one can increase his FP to unnatural heights.

This is all I wanted to say. I hope you enjoyed the first chapter and will look forward to the next.
