In the realm of Edenia, among the picturesque gardens and landscapes, sat an outrageous palace. It was practically luminescent in the midday sunlight. The spires and breezeways all carved of impossibly beautiful marble and polished to a shine. The entirety of the palace was constructed mostly of beautifully domed towers and spires, all connected with halls and corridors as needed. Somewhere in the middle of the palace, surrounded by tall ivory walls, was the central courtyard. The expansive green space sported a well manicured lawn and budding flows that filled the air with a thick, almost too thick, sweet scent. The riot of colours produced by the flower gardens was a sight to behold, but it was almost dizzying to look at if you were not prepared for the sight.
Even standing at the tall arched entry way into the gardens you could hear the thunderous roar of a nearby waterfall. The entire palace was settled on a cliffside next to a tumbling waterfall that spilled over the edge and down several hundred feet. At the bottom was the expected pool of collected water which gave way to a winding river. Surrounding it though were solid, jagged rocks that were unforgiving to anyone or anything that took a tumble off of the falls.
Despite the roar of the tumbling water, there was a tranquility about the garden space. There were birds chirping and on occasion some small ground insect would chirp. All of it, the sounds, the colours, the wildlife and the scents all led to a supremely relaxing environment. The stone pathways that lazily wove their way through the garden were normally used by palace attendants and serving staff, but today they were empty. In fact, the entire garden, normally hosting a dozen people, was unusually empty. There was, however, one occupant in the gardens. Sitting in the very center of the garden, where all the stone lined paths converged, was a grand circular patio. The intricate designs carved into the stones there were deeply shadowed by the angle of sunlight. Crossing her legs in the very center of the circle was a woman, the princess of Edenia.
Princess Kitana inhaled deeply, letting the sweet afternoon air fill her lungs. The healing, calming energies of the world around her drew in to her as she meditated. The world around her was buzzing, she could feel the bees as they swooped into flowers, she could see the pollen as it fluttered away. She could feel the strength of the water as it raced down the river and cascaded over the cliff's edge. She could feel the impact of the river as it smashed into those rocks as if it was her own fists. As she felt the energies her hands curled into hard fists. Her muscles tensed as if to strike. Her mind keen to the environment around her. She had set aside this afternoon for personal combat training, and as a result she was wearing the outfit that she had worn to tournaments.
The single piece of blue fabric originated from below a thick black collar that ringed her neck and ran down her chest, holding back her breasts and laced across her chest and torso with sturdy leather cords. At her hips it met a new piece of blackened fabric and wrapped around her hips and between her legs. It offered a minimal amount of fabric to interfere with the Ba Gua style of fighting she preferred. The thigh high boots she wore were laced and tied tightly to prevent even the slightest hint of slippage while moving. If there was one thing that Kitana had learned in her nearly ten thousand year life, it was that you didn't want to be caught slipping on your boots while under attack. She was still wearing the face mask that she always wore if for nothing more than to complete her usual ensemble. Laying on the ground to either side of her were her signature weapons. A pair of war fans, the tips of each spar sharped to a razor sharp edge. They were folded up at the moment, the safe hand holds pointed towards her and easily within reach.
Kitana took in another long, deep breath of the sickly sweet air. In through her nose and out through her mouth. The action caused her chest to rise slowly but steadily, the mask sucking inward as the air flowed into her. Then the mask puffed outward after a few heartbeats. She had been here for nearly an hour already. She was unmoving, waiting. It was peaceful here and so was she. She was deep into self reflection, examining herself both body and personality, attempting to find flaws in herself that she could correct. The empty gardens of Edenia were the perfect place for such a reflection, and the still air betrayed any unwelcome sounds.
Kitana became aware of such a sound. She could hear it approaching just beyond the walls. It was faint at first but grew louder until it was deafening to her. She snapped her eyes open and her gloved hands reflexively snapped to the hand holds on her bladed war fans. Grasping them she flew to her feet and planted her soles evenly apart. She still drank deeply of the sweet air around her and readied herself for whatever was coming. Now that she had snapped back to her senses, the calm and quiet ambiance dissipated, she couldn't hear the approaching enemy but she knew it was only a matter of time.
Kitana didn't have long to wait, vaulting cleanly over the top of the nearly twenty foot tall wall were six figures. They all landed approximately at the same time, and tumbled forward, springing up into a sprint. Six women, all pale skinned, and wrapped tightly in some kind of black body suit. They were lightly armored, sporting metallic plates in key locations on their body. Around the chest, shins, thighs, upper and lower arms and a round the lower portion of the face. They were coming for her, seemingly unarmed, but furious in their speed.
Kitana was on her guard and as soon as one of them was within striking distance she spun on her heel and slammed her foot into the side of the woman's head in a roundhouse kick. The woman was sent sprawling, spinning in air and skidding along the courtyard lawn. She sprang back to her feet in an instant though, giving Kitana the first indication that these were not your average assailants. She knew that the kick she had landed would have rendered most mortals completely unconscious. Kitana risked a glance in her direction and was even more baffled to see that the side of the girl's head was caved in where her heel had struck. She seemed fine, but her eye was not moving. It wasn't until the small spray of white hot sparks jetted from the small gap between her eyeball and the socket that Kitana knew that these were androids. She had encountered something like them before, Jax had a cybernetic arm and Cyrax himself was fully cybernetic.
Unlike Cyrax though, these women looked far less encumbered by their robotics. Their movements were smooth, and though they wore armor, it was nothing like the full body suit of armored plating that Cyrax had sported.
Another woman sprang at Kitana as she was winding back up from the roundhouse kick and she ducked low. The woman flew over the top of Kitana and landed on her hands, springing away only to turn and come rushing back at her. Kitana responded to that rush by flicking one of her bladed war fans out and flinging it beautifully towards the android. The fan struck true, the bladed tips of each of the spokes slamming hard into the girl's face and sticking several inches deep into her skull. The woman immediately shook and vibrated as an angry crackling buzz filled the area around her. Several snapping sparks jumped from shorted circuits inside of her head and soon she collapsed to the ground, eyes still wide open.
Kitana cartwheeled over to the downed android and snatched up her fan and for good measure lifted her foot high into the air and brought the heel down hard on the disabled girl's neck. THe strike carried more than enough force to punch fully through the artificial spinal column and the accompanying wiring, severing her head from her neck. In a smooth and swift movement Kitant kicked the dislodged head towards one of the other android women where it was easily deflected, but it allowed Kitana just enough time to teleport herself behind the group.
She appeared, leg extended and at speed. She slammed hard into one of the robotic attackers in between the shoulder blades and knocked her to the ground. Before she had a chance to push herself back to her feet though, Kitana straddled her and with one warfan in each hand drove them both fully into the either side of the woman's skull. The blades sunk deep inside and sheared through artificial flesh and electronic components alike as if they were merely parchment. In a sudden burst of sparks the woman sputtered and stammered, making no words but a nearly endless stream of gibberish and noise until something finally gave way inside of her head and she fell down, lifeless.
There were four of them now, and despite the initial rush of attacks and attempts to take Kitana, they now hesitated. Kitana could see that their cold machine like eyes flicked from their targets to their two fallen companions. Kitana smirked under her mask and began circling the group, making her motions smooth and also widening her circle around them. Soon she found herself poised at the edge of a wall, beyond which she knew the roaring waterfall was tumbling.
All at once the group of women sprinted for her, having reached some predetermined distance from them. Kitana crouched low as the first of the identical android women made her way into Kitana's range. She threw several powerful and effective punches at the girl. They connected easily and after half a dozen lightning fast strikes she ended her combo by coiling her leg up and thrusting it hard into the robot's gut, sending her flying backwards. The next android received much of the same treatment, dodging a few of the first blows, but succumbing to the flurry before finding herself suddenly bent over backwards, Kitana's arm wrapped around her neck and in a sudden downward motion the android's head was torn cleanly from her neck. It trailed a number of multi-colored wires and several semi-clear plastic tubes along with a good portion of her artificial spine.
The last two sprang at the same time, attempting to snatch Kitana from either side in a pincer like motion. Kitana leapt into the air and managed to twist herself enough to bring a heel down on the top of one attacker's head while the other rose and clipped the remaining android on the chin, lifting her into the air and launching her back several feet. Kitana landed as the android she had first sent sprawling had gotten to her feet and was rushing in once again. Kitana landed on her own feet and with another set of punches finally managed to somewhat stun the attacking robot. She took a quick step backwards and flared out both of her fans. Channeling the spiritual energies around her she flung them both at the android and managed to control their movements.
They spun at high speed, like a pair of furious saws, slicing their way through everything in their path. Kitana extended her hands, one low, and one high. The bladed fans responded to her commands and one lowered, digging into the robot's torso just above the pelvis. Spraying shreds of artificial flesh across the lawn as the bladed fan cut into her. The circuit boards, components, storage tanks, wires, cables, and everything that made the girl operate smoothly were split in half. Sparks and snapping electrical arcs filled her torso with blue light. Soon smoke began to billow out of her lower half as more and more electronics were overloaded and burst. Meanwhile, the second fan spun high, whirling and cutting into the upper half of the android's head. The saw-like motion cut just above the ear, grinding into her skull with little resistance. The fan spun wildly and filled the air with the scream of metal on metal before finally breaking through and destroying everything inside of the girls head.
Soon the bladed fans had done their job. The lower portion of the android simply fell to the ground, twitching slightly as the last sighs of the electrical life that powered it faded. Small spurts of some kind of fluid sprayed from severed hoses. Her torso fell next as the spinning fan returned to Kitana's hand and with a thud, landed. The lower portion of the android woman's head was there too, still attached to the neck, but it was only the mouth, nose and eyes. The entire upper portion of her cranium was spinning off into the distance as the fan returned to Kitana's other hand. Her head was cleanly open for Kitana to see now. The smoking remains of the bisected circuitry there showed that her head was mostly empty save for a few components that the warrior princess had no idea of their purpose.
She had little time to contemplate it though as three more of the androids converged on her. One to either side of her, and one more directly in front of her. The front target was the closest, and was charging in with a wild haymaker of a punch. Kitana deftly dodged to one side and allowed the motion of the punch to follow through. She would normally raise a knee into the stomach of her attacker, but she figured that against fully robotic attackers it would have little to no effect. Instead she reached up, grabbed the girl's arm and thrust her behind Kitana into the wall. The impact itself had little effect, but it gave Kitana a sturdy backdrop. She spun and with her own power filled punch began to repeatedly slam her well trained fist into the robotic woman's face over and over. Soon there were cracks forming in the hard synthetic faceplate. WIth one final wild punch Kitana managed to punch into and then through the face plate. She found her fist lodged deep inside of the girls head, followed by the full weight of her body collapsing.
The remaining two androids sprang at Kitana and she ducked out of the way, dodging back and putting the remaining two androids in front of her, directly in front of the wall. It was her turn to charge into battle though. She sprinted forward, launching her fans as she did so. Both struck one of the women, lifting her up into the air in a whirlwind of sparking blue energy. They spun rapidly, slicing into artificial flesh and circuitry alike. As the robot was lifted into the air more and more of her body was shredded. Kitana, satisfied that soon the robotic woman would be in pieces once again summoned the swirling energies around her and teleported behind the remaining android, intent on flattening her to the ground.
Kitana appeared behind the girl only to find her ankle held firmly in an iron grip. She was spinning. Her vision blurred and the world spun around her until she suddenly stopped, embedded in the wall. As her head spun and her eyes watered, she soon focused and found that her teleportation kick had been anticipated. She could feel at least two broken ribs from the impact, but more worrying was the remaining android approaching her at speed. She pressed her palms into the wall around her and began to pull herself out when the girl was upon her. Kitana saw that the robotic woman's hand had dropped down from the wrist, exposing a long needle.
Dazed and hurting Kitana had little opportunity to parry the incoming needle away from her and found it instead lodged deep into her neck. Whatever was in it burned through her body. Kitana could feel it scalding her blood, and draining her of her strength. Her vision began to blur and she noticed a distinct blackness overtaking her and suddenly she felt the ground impact her face. Her senses dulled and she became numb, fading rapidly into nothingness.
Kitana awoke some amount of time later, unaware of her surroundings, but conscious enough to hear motion in the area around her. She wasn't sure where she was exactly, as the room was entirely pitch black. Soon though a series of bright white flood lights illuminated enough of the area for Kitana to start to take in her surroundings. She was in some kind of mid-sized scientific lab. There were tools of all kinds on a series of benches. Gadgets, mysterious apparatuses, and tools of all kinds littered the various workspaces.
She tried to sit up quickly, but found that her body was bound and held in place in a number of locations. Wrists, ankles, thighs, upper arms around her chest and across her forehead. She was utterly immobilized and began to panic. She mustered as much strength she could and attempted, at very least, to try a teleportation away from the cold metal table she was on. She found that it was impossible though.
Kitana was about to open her mouth and call for help of some kind, or even just to make some kind of ruckus, when the sound of something above her drew her attention. There was a whining sound, like something winding up, its pitch shifting higher and higher. It wasn't until the advanced robotic arm descended into her field of vision that she got an idea of what was happening. She, like those that attacked her, like Cyrax, was about to be converted into a robot. She opened her mouth to scream, only to find another set of mechanical arms flipping up from the underside of the table and clamped into Kitana's open mouth, then held it there. From somewhere next to her another mechanical arm appeared with a long tube like fixture on the end, it wasted no time in aligning itself over Kitana's mouth and gliding the tubing down her throat. She managed only a small strangled cry before the whole thing clogged her airway and made it impossible for her to generate more sound than gurgling, choking coughs.
The tubing reached down her throat and into her lungs, she could feel the flow of air inflating and deflating them. SHe once again tried to struggle, but to no avail, and she began to feel a familiar numbness spreading from her chest. There was clearly some kind of pain killer or sedative inside whatever gas they were pumping into her. The reason why quickly became apparent, there was something sharp descending towards her throat.
The knife edge attached to the end of a robotic arm sliced easily into her throat, carving a pair of horizontal cuts across her throat, and a single vertical incision between them. Small arms spread open the flap in her neck and dove inside, forcing the skin there to swell a little. Blood oozed out quickly, but small suction tubes had begun to slurp it up, sending it somewhere else. The small precision knife drove into Kitana's opened throat again and began cutting into more and more of her tissue, all while small articulated arms pulled free whatever was cut away. Kitana could only watch, wide eyed, as she saw veins and arteries pulled out and cut free, only to be replaced with surgical grade tubing. Wires were brought in and implanted inside of her and soon, she saw what she assumed was her vocal chords being sliced free and removed. A small circuit board replaced it, along with a series of speakers.
"Self test complete. Vocal processors online. Verbal updated enabled." The voice was her own, but Kitana hadn't even so much as thought those words, yet they spilled from her open throat.
She hadn't noticed it yet, but she saw that there were multitudes of other robotic arms descending on her body now. She couldn't move her head to observe them all, but she shifted her eyes in their sockets just enough to see a pair of arms working on her own arm. They had cut it open from the shoulder down to her wrist. There were machine arms digging inside of it, pulling out unneeded organic tissue and replacing it with flexible, clear substitutes. She saw her bones being removed and discarded like trash and replaced with hard metallic replicas. They were set in place, and a multitude of smaller finger-like machines began attaching wires from the clear wrapping to the bone-like replicas. There were dozens upon dozens of fine wires and cables inside of her arms now.
Once they were done, Kitana saw another arm appear. This one had a claw-like clamp on the end of it, and it took a moment to align itself with her wrist. Once it had clamped on, a new arm appeared, a whirring whining saw on the end of it. There was no hesitation when it progressed smoothly through her wrist, shearing her hand off. Kitana heard the dull thump of her hands hitting the floor and tried to scream. She felt no pain, but the idea of it was enough to distress her. Within moments though the bleeding had stopped, her blood vessels clogged or more likely, not even used any more. A new mechanical arm appeared and in combination with the finger-like machines, began working to attach a silvered disk to her wrist. Once attached, a new presumably mechanical, hand appeared and was slotted into place. Kitana couldn't feel it or control it.
She became vaguely aware of a large amount of pressure on her chest as well. She was unable to get a good look at what was happening, and for a moment she debated with herself if she would even want to. The skin along her chest had been cut open. A blade carved along her collar bone, down her sides and over her ribs before tracing across her lower torso. More arms, smaller now, each tipped with the same razor sharp scalpels went to work cutting away the organic tissue that attached her skin to her body. It peeled off and was soon being lined with the same flexible clear plastic sheets that the inside of her arms had been coated with. Meanwhile, a multitude of activities began inside of her.
Her heart, the very core of what kept her alive was deftly cut from inside of her. She felt it begin removed, it felt like she was dying, and in a sense of the word, she was. In an instant though a mechanical replacement was brought in. Slotting into place, the pump immediately began moving blood around her body again. It was temporary, but necessary. A similar process was done to her lungs. They were cut free and a set of thick tubing was attached to her windpipe. Kitana felt like she was perpetually moments away from drowning the entire time and as that time progressed a single tear rolled down her cheek.
It took several long, agonizing minutes for all of Kitana's organic organs to be removed and replaced with circuitry. Wires, tubes, and hardened pipes were slotted into place. Her Rib cage was not so delicately snipped from her spine and replaced with a heavy metallic replacement. It locked into place inside of her chest and covered the replacement components inside of her. She was filling up quickly with a mass of small circuit boards, all connected via some kind of fiber optic cabling. There were mysterious components that were too complicated for Kitana to understand, but for the moment, she remained alive.
Soon, KItana felt pressure on her legs, and she could only assume that the same process that was used to convert her arms to mechanical components, was being performed on her legs. She was cut open, organic muscle and bone was removed and replaced with machinery and artificial components. Kitana's eyes shifted to the side as she detected a flurry of motion in her peripheral vision. She saw her arm being stitched shut, then some sort of spray was applied to the cut, sealing it in an instant. She couldn't quite see, but there seemed to be some movement from the fingers on the clearly mechanical hand. Then in a blur another mechanical arm fell into her view, it clamped on to the upper arm, hard. There was a familiar whirring sound and Kitana saw the saw bladed arm come into view, this time cutting into the shoulder. She wanted so desperately to scream, but her voice had already been stolen from her.
As the saw blade cut through her shoulder, more metallic disks were slotted into place, one in her shoulder and a matching one in the arm itself. Once the disks were in place Kitana saw that her arms..were they her arms any more..were slotted back into place. The faintest whirring sound could be heard coming from inside of her shoulder, a revelation that disturbed Kitana. But the upsetting thought that she was now more machine than human was short lived. She had the dawning realization that while the rest of her body had been worked on, converted, and was presumably ready for operation, her mind was still her own. Her eyes snapped to the ceiling as a final circular assembly, arms attached on all sides of it, descended from the inky blackness above her. It was in this moment that Kitana knew she was done for. She tried to wiggle, to shriek, to do anything and everything she still could, but found that her entire body was unresponsive. She looked down in time to see the skin that had been peeled from her belly and chest returning, this time the underside was coated in hard plastic and slotted neatly into place on her torso.
There was a sudden rattling from below her. With whatever senses she had left, Kitana felt, and saw herself rising. She halted at about a forty five degree angle and heard a hiss and then a pop. The bindings on her wrists, legs, and neck were gone. Kitana mustered as much mental prowess as she could to attempt to teleport herself, or even just move. Nothing of the sort happened. Instead one of the appendages from the mass of mechanical arms above her head whirled down into her field of view and, in a sudden jolt, clamped on to her neck just below the jaw. A new saw bladed arm came into view as well as another set of arms clutching a similar metallic disk, though it was trailing more surgical tubing up and into the darkness above.
In an instant the blades had spun up and dug into Kitana's neck, rapidly and efficiently cutting through flesh and bone alike. Her mind went numb, feeling as if it were rattling inside of her head. It felt like it lasted for an eternity and at the same time, only an instant. When she opened her eyes she could see that she was still above her body, some of the surgical tubing was in her field of vision. She moved, somewhere, and moments later she could see her own body. It was still leaning against the table, but there was no head, only a shiny chrome plated disk lodged in the neck. It was in that moment that she knew her own head was missing from her body, or what was left of her body at least.
The sound of another spinning blade above her head drew her attention. She felt the pressure of something digging into her forehead. It wasn't painful, more just a distant sensation. What she couldn't see was the series of small but precise blades cutting into her skullcap. Soon her head was opened, her hair removed, and a series of needle-like fixtures coming into place. The needles slipped gently into the spaces between her brain matter, stimulating it with a targeted electrical charge and recording the results that her remaining organic material responded with. The needle retracted, readjusted, slipped into place again and executed another charge. Over and over again, for nearly an hour. All the while, a computer system recorded the data, digitizing it into a perfect replica of Kitana's mind.
Once her mind was digitized, it was programmed, modified, and transformed. Her personality would remain the same, but she would be obedient to whomever had the access codes to her systems. While the reprogramming was in process, another set of machines removed the organic material from inside of her head and then began running electronic wiring down the back of her neck, through her spinal column. The wiring was inserted into a familiar silvery disk in the bottom of her neck, while inside of her skull it was connected to a series of connection points. Her new digital brain would be slotted into these connection mounts. Other mechanical arms worked on extracting her old human eyes from their sockets and replacing them with new optics. High definition cameras, fiber optic wiring from the eyeballs into her head where they were connected to more circuitry. Soon the egg shaped computerized mind was brought in and clicked into place. Locking mechanisms held it in place as a number of loose wires were plugged directly into it.
Kitana was no more, she was now fully robotic. She was nothing more than a machine now.
The finishing touches had been added to her body while her mind was being worked on and it was now ready. The mechanical arms brought her disconnected head back to her body and easily slotted it into place on top of her neck. Once locked into place, the connections were established and Kitana was powered on for the first time. Her eyes snapped open and her artificial mind took in everything in crisp, clear, high definition. Her mind, crystal clear, though at the moment devoid of anything other than scrolling lines of code telling her how her body should operate. She was barely aware of it, it was simply a white background noise that soon became nothing worth paying attention to.
There was more though, something that she saw in the middle of her field of vision. It grew and grew, encompassing all she could see. It was a circular emblem, with three smaller circles cut into it in a triangle orientation. Woven between the inner circles was a proper triangle. It was the crest, or symbol, or something...something familiar to part of Kitana. There was something inside of her that recognized it. It took some time, her new digital mind was still coming online, but she soon recognized it fully. It was the symbol of the Lin Kuei clan. She was a machine in their clan now and there was something deep inside of her mind that locked that into place.
A voice suddenly boomed around her. It was a voice she never heard. The deep bassy voice of the mysterious Lin Kuei leader. There was a single word that penetrated the air.
"Fight!"
The words had barely registered with the microphone assembly inside of Kitana's new android ears that the lights came on and more of the cybernetic women who had assaulted her back in her palace were upon her. Kitana now knew that these were nothing more than drones. Cheap imitations of what she had become. They were mindless, programmed to do one thing and one thing only. Kitana now knew that she was a more advanced machine than they were. She was a robot built from the remains of a less effective humanoid. She balled her hands into fists and launched herself at the inbound attackers.
The first one threw a wild haymaker of a punch at Kitana, her new cyborg eyes detected the incoming punch, then her new computerized brain calculated the trajectory and displayed it in her field of vision. It made it incredibly simple to dodge the punch and instead she sucker punched the robot in the gut. She found that even just a small amount of effort was enough to launch her fist and arm fully through the girl, lifting her from the ground and sending shattered electronics and shredded wires flying out her back. The robotic woman's head immediately began to spasm left and right and then back again. She was sputtering gibberish as her body fell to the floor, arms and legs moving at odd angles and times.
Kitana had no time to dwell on the electronic life she had just snuffed out. There were others she needed to destroy. The programming in her head had recognized the voice, authenticated its authority, and was carrying out the orders. She was fighting. She was part of the Lin Kuei and that meant following orders.
A new robot lept at her and Kitana demolished the thing with a well placed roundhouse kick that caught the girl in the jaw and sent her sprawling along the floor. Her lower jaw went flying across the space and clattered somewhere in the distance. The girl sprang to her feet and squared her shoulders, settling into a fighting stance. Her rubbery synthetic tongue dangled from her jawless mouth, but her eyes were wide and seemed to almost jitter. Kitana easily moved up to her and in an instant leveled half a dozen brutal punches. Each hit landed with a perfectly calculated and precise motion. Each one tore more of the soft synthetic flesh off of the robot's face, exposing more and more of the metallic skull and face below it. Soon she was denting and shattering the artificial skull into fragments and sending electronics scattering out of both sides of her head. The android had gone offline long before the new robotic Kitana wound up a final uppercut and sent the girl spinning upwards.
The next android sprinted at her and Kitana ducked the incoming punch. Kitana wrapped her arms around her opponents waistline and she sensed the amount of power flowing through her new android body. Her legs lifted the girl up and off of her feet, then the array of servo motors in her new spine bent up and over. Kitana felt none of it, there was no pain, she wasn't programmed to feel her back moving. The android attacker was lifted up and over Kitana in a suplexing motion. Her head came down onto the hard cement floor with enough force to turn her head sideways and snap the artificial spine inside of her neck in an instant. The shattered remains of her spine tore through the artificial skin on her neck and went scattering around the area surrounding her. The remaining weight of her body collapsed onto her neck and then tumbled to the ground, leaving her twitching and vibrating on the floor.
There were no more assailants in the immediate area, and so Kitana relaxed, standing up straight. Her nude body stood out against the charcoal grey floors and walls. She was a pale, feminine, goddess standing among broken and shattered technology. She herself was just as mechanical as these androids she had just dispatched. There was little of Kitana's personality online at the moment, she was just a raw assassin. But had it been active, she would have perhaps felt pride, or maybe smug superiority at what she had become. She was now the perfect killing machine. Perfectly obedient to her new owner, and willing and able to execute commands in an instant. She would be nothing but an asset to the Lin Kuei.
