Tanya smiled contentedly as she sat on the couch, watching her little ones playing and tumbling around on the floor in front of her. She still remembered Mao Mao's face when they found out they were going to have quintuplets; two kittens, two tanukis and one hybrid That memory never failed to get a giggle out of her. Still, she missed her bounty hunting days, but on the bright side, she would have the chance to teach her little ones everything she knew. Mao Mao, however, would make things a bit difficult with his goody-goody ways, but she'll manage.

Speaking of Mao Mao, he and Badgerclops came in through the door, exhausted from a long day of monster fighting and law-enforcement.

"Sup, Badgerclops." She greeted as they high-fived before she turned to her hubby. "Hey, Mittens~"

"Evening, Tanya." He replied before kissing her and sitting on the floor, allowing the infants to crawl up to him as he pet them. "How're the little ones?"

"Just fine." She answered as he smiled and purred, causing her to titter.

"Dude, I've said it before, but I can already tell you're an even better dad than yours." Badgerclops remarked.

"Heh, yeah." Mao Mao replied. "So, anything you guys want for dinner?"

"Surprise us." Tanya answered.

Later that night after dinner, they had all retired to their beds. Ever since the two tied the knot and conceived, the house had been renovated to accommodate the five new additions with a bedroom just for the couple. Badgerclops was welcome to the change as Tanya was now the one who had to deal with his weird snoring. Adorabat was still getting used to the change and add to the fact that her father, Eugene had moved in with them.

Anyway, Tanya's sleep was interrupted by the quints crying. Her eyes fluttered open at the sudden noise before she made her way to the crib. There Kin, Gin, Daisy, Jack and Kage laid, crying their eyes out. Smiling tiredly, she two two leaves and poofed them into doubles of herself. With that, she and her clones picked them up and rocked them gently in an effort to calm them down.

"Hey, it's okay. Shh." She whispered as they continued to cry.

Just then, the door creaked open and she turned to see Adorabat, holding hands (err, wings) with her father.

"Guys, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"Adorabat was woken up by a noise on the roof." Eugene explained.

"I tried to ignore it, but I couldn't." She whimpered.

"Alright, I'll go check it out." Mao Mao yawned reluctantly as he rolled out of bed, having been woken up by all the noise.

With that, he exited the house with Badgerclops and Adorabat joining him with flashlights. They scanned the area, searching for anything suspicious as Eugene and Tanya watched from inside the house.

"Dude, we're just wasting our time out here." Badgerclops groaned.

Before Mao Mao could say anything back, there was loud scuttling on the roof. They turned to look at the source, only to catch a mere glimpse of a dark figure leaping off the roof and hopping into a nearby tree's branches. The three turned to the tree, but the figure hopped down from the tree and quickly scuttled away.

"Hey! Freeze!" Mao Mao demanded as he was about to run after it.

However, before he could, something else fell from the tree. When they got a good look at what it was, they wished they hadn't. In front of them, was a corpse so mutilated, it was unrecognizable. The parts that took the worst damage appeared to be the entire torso, with various organs having gone missing.

"Good grief." Mao Mao retched as Eugene fainted at the sight.

Shortly after the incident, curfews were put into place as Mao Mao and his deputies stepped up their nightly patrols. Speaking of nightly patrols...

"South and west sides are all clear." Adorabat announced over the radio.

"Nothing going on in the north or east." Mao Mao replied. "Good patrol, guys. Let's head back home because it's almost curfew."

With that, Mao Mao mounted his aerocycle before blasting off back to the house. Meanwhile, while Tanya was washing the dishes, she couldn't help but watch as Eugene was frantically boarding up the windows.

"Hey, man, you don't think this is taking things a smidge too far?" She asked.

"There's a killer on the loose!" Eugene reminded her. "I've already lost Sonora, I can't bear to lose anyone else I'm close to."

Tanya sighed.

"I'll admit, I don't exactly blame you." The tanuki said. "I'd lose my crap too if someone hurt one hair on my babies' heads."

Just then, their conversation was cut off by the quints crying again. The two ran up the stairs and into Tanya and Mao Mao's bedroom and were horrified by what the say. Some sort of slimy tendril retracted away from the crib and out the window as a shadowy figure scuttled away and up onto the roof. The tanuki rushed over to the crib and, thankfully, they were still fine, albeit whimpering.

"What the hell was that?!" Eugene cried as Tanya struggled to comfort her children.

Just then, they heard the others land outside.

"Eugene, tell them something is after the quintuplets." She instructed.

He didn't need to be told twice as he quickly flew downstairs to warn the others. When he got there, they quickly noticed his expression.

"Dad, what's going on?" Adorabat asked.

"Something is trying to get the quintuplets." He panted.

"WHAT?!" Mao Mao growled.

Suddenly, there was a crash inside.

"Uh oh, this is gonna get ugly." Badgerclops gulped.

"TANYA! KIDS!" The black cat cried as he charged inside.

The others followed close behind. Rushing up the stairs, he barged into his bed room and found the window smashed out, the crib missing and a small puddle of blood on the floor.

"Tanya?! Kids?!" He called out.

"Where'd you go?" Adorabat called out.

Suddenly, there was a strange croaking noise. The group looked up to see where it was coming from.

"What the..." Badgerclops droned as he turned the light on.

When he did, he regretted it. The creature clinging to the ceiling was gaunt, had glowing yellow eyes, a mouthful of shark-like teeth, grey skin, disproportionately long limbs and a long tongue that hug out of its mouth like a snake. It leapt down and pounced on Mao Mao before he could draw his sword as they wrestled around the room. Badgerclops tried to aim his arm cannon at the thing, but couldn't risk hitting Mao Mao.

Soon, the monster was able to pin Mao Mao to the floor, keeping a firm grip on his neck. Adorabat and Badgerclops tried to tackle it off him, the creature was immensely strong, kicking the badger through the wall and simply pinning Adorabat next to Mao Mao as she squirmed in an effort to get out its grip.

Just when the monster was about to impale the cat with its tongue, Tanya showed up with a knife.

"Get off my man." She hissed as she plunged the blade into the creature's back.

The monster screeched in pain and hopped out the window as she helped her husband and his deputy up.

"And this is why I married you." Mao Mao panted.

"Save the compliments for later, Mitten." She replied.

"What was that thing?" Adorabat asked.

"I've seen this kind of monster before. It's called and aswang." She began. "Think of it like a vampire and ghoul and give it a taste for babies, children, and the sick. And it won't stop until it's got what it came for."

Everyone who heard that were sick to their stomachs.

"By the way, where'd you hide them?" Mao Mao asked.

Before she could answer, they was a crash downstairs. The groups rushed down the stairs and into the kitchen to find the aswang tearing up the place, trying to find its prey. Seeing their chance, Badgerclops aimed his arm cannon and fired. The aswang was able to dodge his blasts before slamming his face into the fridge, knocking him out. Adorabat then came charging with a chair and hurled it at the monster, but it instead caught the chair and threw it back at the bat, slamming her and Eugene into a wall.

"Stay away from our babies." Mao Mao growled, his sword drawn as Tanya shapeshifted leaved into swords.

The couple charged at the create, thrusting and slashing at it. Mao Mao roundhouse kickeck the creature in the head. He was about to land the finishing blow, when the aswang grabbed his sword-wielding arm with one hand. It then plunged it's other hand's claws into the cat's stomach, causing him to scream and groan in pain as his blood dripped.

"MITTENS!" Tanya cried as her injured husband was thrown at her, slamming her into a wall.

Just then, the aswang was alerted to the sound of wailing. It stalked outside the house and towards the tanuki's aerotruck. Inside, were the quintuplets. The aswang reached out towards Jack, hoping to devour him first. Suddenly, a blade pierced its back, skewered its heart and burst out the other side.

"Don't fuck around with Mommy." The battered and bloodied Tanya hissed as the creature finally fell over, dead.

Her tough demeanor faded away as she smiled and stroked her babies' heads, calming them down. Just then, she felt on arm wrap around her shoulders as kiss was planted on her head.

"Good job, sweetie." Mao Mao groaned with a smile and still clutching his wounds.
