[A/N] This is the first chapter of my new story… I'm no stranger to the fandom. Heh… I bet more people know me than you'd guess… but that's besides the point. You're here to read and I'm here to write, so let's make it happen people

Fox licked the blood from his laps, thick as sap and red as wine. Hmmm… he thought to himself deliciously. Perhaps I should let myself be punched more, to taste a taste like this.

"FUCK YOU ASSHOLE" a loud voice punched his ears, followed by a punch of fists on his face. "DID YOU EVER THINK WE WOULD LET FOXES LIKE YOU INSIDE THIS ESTABLISHMENT"

Fox let his punched roll into a deft roll and came up, surprising his assistant. Bet he didn't expect that he thought with a smile, lone blooddrop on his lips. He laughed slowly as the dumbfounded walrus gawked at him. "That's the thing about you fools… you never learn..."

The orange fox spun around and unsheathed his blade, holding it front of his face so the side of his face could be eflected in it and the mirror image of his redblood dripping from his mouth was shining in the blade in the moonlight in the dingy alley.

The walrus saw the katana as a challange and hefted his own fists to fight… but he was too slow…

"That speed…!" he thought as the orange fox sprinted pasthim and turned, letting the blade's manifolded edge slice through the walrus's spinal cord. For a second the fox was tempted to lick off the blood from the sword but didn't. He looked down at the walrus. "Hm… still alive. You're lucky I let you lvie today after what you said tome back there. You'll be paralyzed now… forever."

The walrus cried and Fox walked away.

Fox shook his katana to get the blood off and then rubbed it against his arm, and the rain did the rest. Ge looked up into the cold night sky above and saw only rain.

"Blood…" he whispered to himself.

He raised his arms up like a crucifix in the rain of Corneria and let it wash over him, baptizing him like a bloodbath of the fallen soldiers he'd killed in the Venom war. Every drop was a life he ended from afar in the seat of his arwing. But no more he thought. Now I only kill up close.

He kept walking down the street and passed cars and bicyclists as he made his way to the café for a pick-me up. He needed it after being kicked out of the var by those speciesists. He almost wanted to laugh at how innocent and foolish the people he walked by were. How foolish he thought with a smile. How could they live like that while there was war out there in the stars…?

The Fox shook his head and walked down the street more. The blood was all washed out of his dark leather jacket by then, and his black combat boots were shiny in the rain. Blood he thought again as he saw how hsiny they were and pictuered what it would look like if the it was shiny with blood instead of rain.

He walked into the café and Kursed was working as the barista and her cowokers Falco and Andrew were there too swearing at each other. Fox shook his head and laughed and walked up the counter.

"What will it be?" Kursed asked with a knowing smile

Fox smiled back. "The usual".
