The plan was progressing smoothly and the masked man in the hood was elated that all of his training had allowed him to bring such devastation to The Hidden Leaf Village. The Nine-Tailed Fox was destroying countless lives and without the help of their Hokage, it would soon burn to ash. However, now it was time to test his training in combat. And who better than the Hokage himself, Minato Namikaze.

So, the masked man using his teleportation technique pursued the Hokage to an open field with trees surrounding it alongside a few destroyed huts. He could not let that man interfere any further, his only visible eye shines right through the one eyehole in the mask. The blonde Hokage readied his kunai and after sharing a few words, the sound of chains being released signaled the battle.

It went on for nearly 2 minutes and each second had counted. No matter how much he trained though, the masked man was no match for the fourth Hokage. He had been utterly beat with his connection to the Nine-Tails being stripped away by a contract seal. He had lost and would have to retreat. But, he couldn't help it, his emotions led him to stay in once again engage in battle with the far superior fighter. His job was never to kill Minato, so he hadn't been fighting with the intent to kill, he just wanted to see where he stood in terms of power against one of the most feared ninja.

This time, his anger took control and once again they battled. With all of his abilities they stood at a standstill. Minato had to preserve his energy, he was powerful but nowhere near enough to kill the Nine-Tails, he had to use another method to deal with it. He needed a large amount of chakra to do that. The battle was brutal and relentless and finally Minato's concentration cracked for a moment. The masked man took that opportunity, his hidden kunai was a moment away from the Hokage's heart.

But, he couldn't do it. He hesitated and that moment was turned over to Minato but he had no such hesitation within him. A fatal strike to the masked man left him with a bleeding chest. Minato ruthlessly ripped his specialized Kunai out of the man. He promptly dropped to the floor clutching his wound.

"Why did you hesitate? Actually, that doesn't matter, I don't have any more time for you. But, I'd like to at least confirm your identity. Madara couldn't possibly be alive, though, even if you are going to die tonight my curiosity has gotten the better of me."

Leaning down Minato removed the mask and was shocked and horrified by what he saw. It was the face of one of his students. The face of Obito Uchiha.

"I-I thought you had died. Obito… Why?"

Minato had so much he wanted to say, so much he wanted to apologize for. But he couldn't say anything, he couldn't help but ask why. What could have happened to Obito that led him to turning his back on his village… on him. Why didn't he come back if he survived? Why?

With a shaky voice from both the pain and his emotions going crazy Obito spoke.

"B-because you l-let them alone t-to suffer. Or r-rather the v-village you love so much l-let it happen. They couldn't protect Rin and with the b-burden she was forced to bear she sacrificed herself. You weren't t-there a-a-and couldn't protect them. Kakashi lives but will blame himself for her death. H-he will n-n-never be the same. That's why. I-I w-wanted to tear i-it all down. And no matter how much I was angry and enraged by you not being able to save them… I could never hate you for it. That's why I h-hesitated."

Minato was now letting tears fall as he learned just how much he had failed his students. He knew had failed them but to hear so much pain come from the brightest one. It was truly sinking in just how much the Shinobi world had taken from them. And still, he couldn't say a word, not even as one of his students was dying in front of him, by his hands. A bloodied hand gripping onto his arm took his attention.

"S-sensei, If you had saved them, I would have come back, we could have been a team again… But you couldn't, use t-that pain a-and the p-p-power you gained to make sure, this tragedy never h-happens again. T-t-that is m-my l-l-last wish…"

Slowly Obito's breathing got quieter and slower until it finally stopped.

"I will. I'll live and make sure to change the Shinobi world. For you and Rin and Kakashi."

Darkness followed Obito for an unknown amount of time. It stayed that way until finally he felt everything change. He could feel his body once again and all his sense returned. He could feel grass around him and a warm heart on the left side of his body. All of this caused him to awake.

He suddenly awoke with a jump and was leaning on both of hands as he breathed quickly. He quickly felt his body and found no wound. But he could clearly remember everything that happened previously. Then he noticed something, his right arm and hand felt different. They didn't feel like the substance that Zetsu was made of. He quickly tried to grab a Kunai hidden within his cloak but it wasn't on his body. Instead his dark blue undershirt was there. His cloak was off to the side. He grabbed it and reached inside to take the last hidden kunai and poked his arm.

It bled, somehow, someway his body had been completely healed. That should have been impossible but him being alive at the current moment should have also been impossible. Then he finally took in his surroundings. He was sitting down near a campfire and around him were trees not unlike Konoha. But, he also found that a horse and a woman were also sleeping near the fire. He couldn't help but think, who was this woman? Where in the Elemental Nations was he? And how did he come back to life? He knew for sure he had died.

It was almost morning so Obito thought it best to just wait for the woman to wake up. She could probably explain everything to him. It was strange, Obito would have usually just forced her to wake up and use his Sharingan to tell him everything, but for some reason he didn't feel like being that ruthless anymore… Maybe, just maybe it was because he was finally able to talk with his sensei? He did feel a lot lighter and even somewhat happier after that. Those tears in his eyes, it had felt really nice to see that he really did care for them. He knew the village had sent him on a mission at the time so he couldn't be blamed… but blaming a single person was easier than an entire village.

He felt like his pain had been lessened by letting all of his bottled up emotions release. Maybe… but before he could continue that thought his attention was taken by the woman yawning as she sat up.

The woman rubbed her eyes and looked to her right. She was surprised to find the boy she had saved staring her down with a strange looking sharp object pointed towards her. "Is that how you thank the person who saved your life? Your parents must not have taught you manners or how to treat a lady." He pulled back in response and she could see him feel a little guilty about his action.

"Sorry, it was kind of on instinct. Thank you for saving my life."

"A rough start but you are welcome anyways." Fully standing up the woman walked to her horse and woke it up as well. Obito stood waiting, he was not exactly sure what he could do in his situation. She didn't seem to be a threat and from her demeanor she might answer any questions he had. "Welp, I got to go soon but before that, I'd like to know your name." She said as she put the fire out.

"Obito Uchiha." The woman smiled and extended her hand to him.

"The name is Amber, no last name, nice to meet you Obito."

The young Uchiha was surprised, he accepted the handshake. Even those from smaller villages know the name of the Uchiha. Maybe Amber just genuinely didn't know. "If you don't mind, I have a few questions I would like to ask you." Amber smirked and put her hands on her hips.

"Well, I didn't save you just to leave you here where Grimm could gobble you up, so don't worry, I'll escort you to the nearest village. And I'm not one to go through other people's belongings, not that you had much to begin with. Also, if you don't mind I got some questions of my own as well. But first," Amber started to walk towards the trees and take her horse with her. "We don't wanna be in the same place at night, Grimm will definitely find us if we do that."

Obito picked his cloak up and thought to use his Kamui to put his cloak away but, then he chose to just leave it on the ground. He wouldn't be needing it, the rips and tears were too big to fix anyways.

A minute later, following Amber and Obito found himself walking beside her on a dirt road.

"Hey, why aren't we riding on your horse if we got to get to the village so fast?"

"Hmm, well this isn't the worst of the trail that we are traveling through. Once we get halfway there, we will have to get on Ella or we run the risk of running into an Ancient Grimm. It'll take a bit before it gets hunted down so we will have to rush through." Obito accepted the answer though he still did not know what a Grimm was but from the brown haired woman's tone an Ancient one was pretty dangerous. The young Uchiha could assume that it was some type of animal or beast as she had made a joking comment earlier about him possibly being "gobbled up" by them.

"I see, well the first real question would be where in the Elemental Nations are we?"

Amber suddenly stopped moving and turned her head to Obito who was walking to the left of her. Obito stopped as well and was confused as to what caused her to stop. "Obito what Kingdom are you from? Because, I don't know of any place called the Elemental Nations? And we are heading to Vale."

"I-is that anywhere n-near the Hidden Leaf Village by chance?"

"I've never heard of that place anywhere on Remnant."

…What?

A/N: Hey guys, I'm back with a new story and one that I have actually been planning out. Also, just so you know, this story is AU and I have changed a LOT about the world of RWBY to make this story. So don't be surprised when you hear some crazy things.

Also, the Sharingan can work against people without Chakra. Sasuke uses it to manipulate Manda and that allows him to hide inside the snake and survive Deidara's explosion. Summons do not use Chakra, they use Nature Energy, big difference. As long as Eye contact is made they can put Genjutsu's on their targets. So yeah. Also, at this point Obito is 15.
