"Tousan! Guess what, I met someone in the park today!"
Thin yet elegant brow rose up, intrigued as he looked down upon shining sapphires that had been his lifeline through nearly 100 years. It's not every day that Menma's excited about a stranger, much less someone he just met.
"Really now?" He picked up the small pup by the arms and placed him on his lap. "Do tell me what got you so excited all of the sudden?"
Cool obsidian eyes gaze down at the youngling and took in the sight of his son. Menma has grown up to be a fine young man. Aside from his dark hair, Menma is an exact replica of Naruto, and Sasuke has doted on him through the years. Despite for that however, Menma has never turned out to be a spoiled brat.
"There's this man at the park and he treated me to ramen! It tasted so good tousan!"
Sasuke narrowed his eyes. Human food have never been consumed in the Uchiha household. And he could feel that his eldest, already demanding the said food daily. The Uchiha patriarch silently groaned at the man who introduced his eldest to human food. If he finds that bastard, he'll regret ever getting his son hooked on a human food.
"Oh? Much better than synthetic blood, little pup?"
"I'm not little anymore tousan! And yeah! It tasted heavenly! So much better than the disgusting synthetic blood we always consume here at home." Sasuke laughed at the sight of his son pouting and ruffled the hair of his eldest son. Sasuke was the one who led the development of the synthetic blood. And through it, the vampires were finally able to coexist peacefully with humans, being that they no longer need to hunt the mortals for food. Despite this however, many vampires still don't like the taste of most human food, especially if they lived and grew up in a vampire clan that does not subsist on it. The Uchiha is one such clan. So Sasuke was particularly surprised that his son has taken a liking to it.
"He said it's the food of the gods and I agree with him. I can't believe we haven't tried it here in our home, tousan!"
"Really now, niisan? Food of the gods you say? No human foods could ever taste better than synthetic blood."
Menma glared at his sibling, who had just entered the room. "Shut up, otuoto! I wasn't talking to you! I was talking to Tousan!"
Sasuke just chuckled as he turned to the newcomer. "Welcome home, Charasuke. How's school?"
"Boring as always Tousan. The ladies are far far more interesting. Although it's rather annoying that I have to partake in the disgusting slop that is human food just to get a single date with them, ugh! But ahh! Those ladies are well worth the effort. I could spend hours just smelling their divine scents."
Sasuke shook his head as his younger son entered the room as if lovestruck; the boy holding a red rose to his nose. This boy is hopeless. Charasuke is his son from his late wife, Sakura. And although the boy is an exact replica of the Uchiha patriarch, he has a more reckless personality, embracing his semi-celebrity status at his school due to his looks and the riches of his family.
"Gross, aniki! Maybe you should focus more on your studies as opposed to chasing ladies who don't want you in the first place." Three heads turned to the youngest of the Uchiha, who entered from the main hall.
"Hey! Those ladies worship me, my dear imouto! Don't you dare say otherwise, Sarada." Charasuke glared at Sarada.
"Whatever you say, aniki! Oh, Papa, Menma-niisan, Uncle Itachi said that dinner will be ready soon. Mikoto-baachan and Fugaku-jiichan are already waiting for you guys."
"Well, I'm not eating unless there's ramen!" A petulant voice nearly cut her off.
"Menma, you know we only have blood here. Maybe another time? Your grandfather and grandmother are there with us for the night." Sasuke consoled the boy on his lap.
"You are too spoiled, niisan. Be glad that tousan loves you so much." Charasuke sent a teasing look on his elder brother.
"Whatever, Charasuke! I'm older by 100 years than you, you know! You should show me more respect!"
"Why you—"
"Alright you three, break it up. And just so you three know, I love all three of you equally. So you don't have to fight about who I love more, do you understand?" Sasuke smiled at his children, diffusing the situation as the children dropped their mock fight.
"Yes, father!"
"Now let's go to the dining hall. We don't want to keep them waiting now, do we?"
The four finally made their way to the dining hall to join their family in dinner.
They were half-way through their meal when Fugaku coughed.
"Sasuke, there's a worrying development in Konoha."
"What is it father?"
"Itachi, if you will."
"Yes, of course. Word has it that a new company have been buying up property around Konoha. Most of the businesses loyal to the Uchiha clan have sold, tempted by the ridiculous offer. If such will continue, our clan will lose its profits and we won't be able to maintain the overheads at Sound and Sand. Our branches will surely suffer."
Sasuke stopped sipping on his wine glass. Wiping off the blood that dripped off his chin as he took in Itachi's news. A new competition eh? Konoha had been under the thumb of the Uchiha clan for a long time now. Most of the key industries and commercial interest groups have also allied with them. Sasuke has worked for that so that the vampires can roam much more freer in Konoha, after all; ensuring that no harm comes to Menma and his children.
"Very bold of them knowing precisely how we controlled these lands for nearly a century."
"Them?"
"The company, I mean."
"Oh you misunderstand, Otuoto. The Bijuu Enterprises is controlled by one man and one man alone. Not much is known about the man. Not even Shisui and Hidan's combined spy networks were able to get much. His identity is a guarded secret. We do know that a lot of our former allies, including Orochimaru and Pain have switched their allegiances to them. Even the lycan tribes of Wave Country has given the Bijuu Enterprises a steep discount and free use of their shipping and trade routes. The lycan tribes of the land of Water have also made exclusive dealings with the company."
Sasuke frowned. If these big names are switching sides to the Bijuu Enterprises, it won't be long before the Uchiha clan will lose its influence in the political and financial sphere. Then they'll only have the military and police corps left to the clan.
"What do we know about him, niisan?"
"That he goes by the name Lord Namikaze."
Sarada perked up at this. "Oh, you mean Namikaze-nii?" She innocently said as she swirled the blood red liquid in her glass.
The Uchiha seniors snapped at their youngest, surprised that she even knew the guy.
"Say again, Sarada?"
"Namikaze-nii. He's a very kind man, tousan. He helped me out when a few human kids were bullying me for my red eyes. And he's a human! At least, I think he is. He looked human to me." Sasuke stared at his daughter's flushed face, as if she's daydreaming about the guy.
"Heh! If you're talking about that man, Sarada, I have to agree with you. Guess what, tousan, I met him, too and he gave me tips how to win over the ladies. He even gave me a book full of important life tips, I've been carrying it ever since! Weird guy keeps wearing a mask, but he seems nice enough."
"And can you show me this book Charasuke?"
"Sure tousan." True enough the middle child had it on his back pocket and handed it to his tousan. Sasuke gave it a quick scan, before his face burned in embarrassment; even his pale ears burned red up to its tip.
"What the-? This is not a book that you should be reading, Charasuke!" And in an instant the book was turned to ash in Sasuke's hands, as black flames consumed it.
"Wha—what are you doing tousan!" Charasuke exclaimed as he looked at his precious book's ashes. "I haven't done reading it yet!"
"You're still too young to be reading that book! Maybe I should pay this Namikaze a visit, after all." Sasuke gritted his teeth, annoyed at the thought of the man being so familiar with his children AND stealing political and commercial clout from them.
Sasuke abruptly stood up and headed for his study, planning to arrange a meeting with the enigmatic leader.
-o-o-o-
Two days since that dinner, Sasuke and his team were able to arrange a meeting with Lord Namikaze. With the Uchiha police corp at the center of Konoha's crime fighting system, it's not that hard to persuade the company when the claw and teeth of the law comes knocking at their doors after all.
"We have an appointment with Lord Namikaze." Sasuke curtly to the secretary before him.
"Of course, Uchiha-san, right this way place." The secretary led them to the conference room. The room was standard in its furnishing, nothing fancy about it; it's in stark contrast however to the man on the far center.
The man was wearing a white kimono with crimson flames at its edges. Sasuke raised a brow at this and rearranged his tie. The man is definitely not a conventional man by any means. Who wears a kimono to a business meeting?
As soon as Sasuke stepped into the room, a very familiar smell assaulted his nose. It's like he's taken a trip back in time. It's sweet, and spicy, with a hint of cinnamon and spice. It's sweetness is not offensive at all. In fact, Sasuke found himself sniffing the air, losing his self-control as he snapped his eyes shut just enoying the smell.
Itachi raised an eyebrow at his younger brother's behavior. He was about to comment on this when a chuckle came from the man they're meeting. They weren't able to get the man's emotions when they entered as the man had been wearing a Kitsune mask.
"Typical alphas. Do have a seat." Came the man's commanding voice. "As you can already guess, I'm an omega. But if you think you can push me around in my own building, in my own company, you got another thing coming. So let's do business on an equal playing field ne?"
Itachi smiled.
"Of course Namikaze-sama." He glanced at his younger brother and tapped the alpha by the shoulder.
"Sasuke. Get a hold of yourself." Sasuke was shaken out of his euphoria when Itachi tapped his shoulders. He steadied himself before taking a seat.
"Right. So on to business."
-o-o-o-
The negotiations have been productive. Surprisingly, for a man who nearly conquered half of the financial world on his own, Namikaze-sama is a fair and just businessman. His proposals always find a way to bring an advantage to the other party. And he's a very persuasive speaker.
Itachi thought that it would devolve into threats but it was a very pleasant conversation in general. Namikaze even agreed to back off the core lands on Konoha and offered a 60-40 profits in their partnership. With such an arrangement, the Bijuu Enterprises are at a disadvantage.
So the elder Uchiha had wondered what the man was angling for. Regardless, since the deal favored the Uchiha clan, Itachi didn't find the need to intervene. What's troubling him however was his younger brother's odd behavior. Sasuke kept glancing at the man in front of them. Itachi who's a beta had to agree that even he's slightly attracted to Lord Namikaze. It doesn't help that with the man's choice of Kimono, his well-built chest was peeking slightly; its smooth tanned skin glistening with the way that the lights danced across them.
It wasn't at the conclusion of the deal when a significant event would occur. Sasuke reached out to shake the man's hand to finalize the deal. When their hands touched however, it's as if lightning has passed through the alpha's body.
"You—" Sasuke began, his eyes wide as a surge of familiar feelings went through him. He grabbed the man's mask in an instant and threw it to the floor. When Sasuke looked at the face before him, he was looking at a very familiar face and gasped.
"Naruto!"
A confident smile graced the omega's smile.
"Hello Sasuke!"
Itachi, too was shocked at the face of the now unmasked man. Naruto had been his younger brother's first lover. And he was one of those who advised Sasuke not to continue their relationship, aware of the fragility and fleeting existence of human mortals.
Without waiting for a second, Sasuke was on to the omega, catching the man's lips with his own and hugging the other man as tight as he could. Tears streamed from Sasuke's eyes as he sobbed into the kiss and Itachi slowly made his way out of the room, aware of the delicacy of the situation; intending to give the two men some much needed privacy.
When the alpha and omega pulled away for air, Naruto had a huge grin on his face.
"What a kiss, eh, Sasuke!"
"You…you… you dobe!" Sasuke pressed his face against the omega's well-built chest, letting himself be surrounded by the man's warmth and scent; as he clutched at the man's kimono, afraid that if he'll let go the man will disappear once more.
"How is this possible?" The alpha murmured into that warm and smooth chest, dumbfounded.
"I don't know, Sasuke. But one thing's for sure. I've been having dreams about you for as long as I can remember. I'm glad that the Sasuke I fell in love with in my dreams is a real being and not just some weird phantom in my mind."
Sasuke kissed the exposed sturdy chest in front of him and the omega let out a giggle.
"That tickles Sasuke." But the alpha isn't stopping. He made his way up to the man's neck, giving his long lost omega the worship he deserved.
"You came back to me Naruto, I'm so glad." Sasuke said, as he kissed the omega's bronze skin tenderly.
"Of course I would. I did say I'll be with you forever, right teme?" Naruto said, remembering his dreams, now accepting them as memories from his past life. "Didn't I promise you that I won't leave you?"
"Yes, yes you did, Naruto. I've waited for so long. I never did stop loving you Naruto."
"I'm glad. Imagine coming all the way from Suna to find you only to find out you fell in love with somebody else."
Sasuke looked guiltily at his omega. He did have a wife after him. But that was only after a century of waiting.
Knowing what the alpha's thinking the omega pulled him up by the chin, his glittering sapphire eyes warm and understanding.
"Shh, alpha. I know, and I understand. I met your children. I know it's been a long time already. I wouldn't expect you to be celibate forever."
"That's not it, dobe. I waited a hundred years before marrying Sakura, you idiot!"
The omega looked at him in surprise.
"You mean you haven't with anyone else aside from her?"
"Yes, Naruto. It's been a hundred years before I met her. And even then I still kept you in my thoughts and dreams. What Sakura and I had was more platonic than anything really. And… she passed away when Sarada was born."
The omega kissed the alpha's forehead.
"It's okay Sasuke. You don't have to worry about that. Even if she's still alive, I'll still love you, even from a distance."
The alpha gazed upon loving pools of blue and nearly ached at the love overflowing from them.
"Don't leave me again, Naruto. Please. Those one hundred years without you have been pure and utter hell."
"I know, Sasuke. And I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for leaving you."
"What are you apologizing for, you idiot, I should have turned you when I had the chance back then."
A snort came from the omega's nose. "You know that human omegas can't be turned Sasuke. You'd end up just killing me back then. But all that doesn't matter because we're back together, right?"
"And what if you'll die again, Naruto? I don't think… I don't think I can stand watching you die a second time."
The omega grinned mischievously at him.
"You don't have to worry about that anymore Sasuke."
The alpha looked at him confused, that is until he saw Naruto's azure blue eyes turned blood red, his fangs elongate, his human ears turned to fox ears and nine tails emerged from behind him.
"You see… I'm not exactly human this time." Sasuke shivered at the guttural voice from his omega.
Curious, he reached up to touch the back of that furry ear and in an instant, Naruto let out a yelp and a loud moan before collapsing against the alpha as his knees gave way. Luckily, Sasuke's vampiric strength was enough to keep them both from falling.
"D-don't do that, Sasuke! That area's sensitive." Naruto tried to regain his balance, his legs felt like jelly for a second. Through his tears, Sasuke was grinning from ear to ear, revealing a set of sharp fangs. His omega has returned to him, and he's even more magnificent this time around.
Without hesitation, Sasuke took the omega in his arms and looked straight to his eyes.
"Marry me, Naruto." Naruto was silent for a moment before he burst out laughing.
"Teme, you don't even have to ask."
Sasuke embraced his omega tightly. He felt soft fluffy tails covering him from all sides and he sighed happily. It had been more than a century that he waited for his omega. And now, everything's right in his world.
"I love you, Naruto."
"I love you, too, Sasuke."
"Promise me you won't leave me again."
"Never Sasuke. You're stuck with me now… Now and forever."
Sasuke smiled against the omega's chest.
His dobe can be cheesy sometimes. But he wouldn't have him any other way.

A/N: I hope that gave a happier ending to Kalalaw. I think I may even revisit this universe in the future. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. As always, feel free to tell me what you like or don't like about it. Until next time.
Note: Kaanyag means charm or beauty. A fitting title I suppose? Hehe.
