"There's a mission for you" A tall muscular man said while slamming a piece of paper on a table directly in front of a young kid. The man had a very serious look on his face. A look that showed everyone that he wasn't one to be played with. He had a scar going down the left side of his face. It was a deep disgusting scar that made him look more menacing than ever. He didn't even have a known name. Everyone referred to him as the Giver.

"Who is the target?" The kid said without looking in his direction.

The Giver turned his back towards the kid. "The target goes by the name of Tokino. This should be an easy mission for you unless he's expecting your arrival. You should be fine though. You're one of my best hunters." The kid nodded his head and took another sip of his water. "Any other information will be on that paper. I will tell you that the target could possibly have some ninjas protecting him."

"Ninjas? From what village?" The kid asked. His green eyes looking up from under his hood.

The Giver went back to his bar and began making drinks for new customers. Completely ignoring the young hunter's question. He didn't want to look too suspicious talking to a customer for so long. If he get caught, then that would be bad for business and get him into some real trouble. He needed to stay off the radar. Those were his methods.

The kid looked down at the paper and began reading the contents. The target was a rival merchant who was traveling from the leaf towards Stone Village. "I'll have to leave today in order to make it. It says here that they are leaving tomorrow but this information could be slightly late. Leaving today would be my best option" the kid thought to himself.

"Who's this brat!" a loud voice said as the owner of the voice approached the kid who was reading his mission. The voice sounded slurred and angry. The man then put a hand on the kid's shoulder.

"Don't touch me" he said as he grabbed the man's hand.

The Giver looked up at the altercation and squinted his eyes. Things were about to get ugly real soon if he didn't put a stop to it. "Leave the kid alone he isn't doing anything wrong." The Giver went back to cleaning the inside of a glass cup. He also focused on other customers. Laughing and enjoying everything they were talking about. Pouring more and more drinks for the customers and getting more money.

"This little shit thinks he can hang with the big boys! He thinks he can kill better than us! No, we are the best as—". Before the words could leave his mouth, the kid twisted the man's hand and used body flicker to appear on top of him with two swords around his throat. All the muscular man could do was gulp in surprise.

"Whatever you were about to say, don't. Leave here now. You smell of alcohol and you're clearly not in the right state of mind to do anything on your own. You know we are not supposed to talk about that. There may be travelers that stumble upon this place. We can not afford to blow our cover."

The muscular man tapped his finger on the table and suddenly 4 other men dashed towards the kid. "Kazuma watch out" the giver screamed. Kazuma turned around in the blink of an eye and threw his sword at an incoming attacker. The man dodged the sword but in less than a second, Kazuma was behind lackey #1, holding the sword up to his back. His face was slightly pale for a few seconds, then the color returned back to his face. The only thing the men saw was a flash of black light.

"Was that—" the leader thought to himself but the name of the technique wasn't coming to him. He was way to drunk and couldn't think straight.

Another man jumped up in the air and came down hard with a high kick. Kazuma swiftly dodged the attack, then countered with his own kick. Effectively slamming his foot into the side of lackey #2's face. Kazuma sent that man flying into some nearby tables and chairs. The 14-year-old kid dropped back down onto the ground, then did a sweep kick. Before lackey #2 could fall on the ground, Kazuma kicked him across the room. The sound of the kick was almost deafening.

"That fighting style... it's familiar" the muscular leader studied Kazuma's movements. Watching every strike, every kick, and dodge. He even watched the littlest things. The way he pivoted, the way he twisted, and the angles his body formed when attacking. He registered everything into his mind. Until he finally realized why Kazuma's fighting style was so familiar. "Yuna these are your techniques; I can't wait to kill this child of yours."

He slammed his first on the table and everyone stopped fighting. "Child, who is your sensei?"

Kazuma looked at the muscular man. The atmosphere was so thick that you could cut through it with a knife. "My sensei's name is Yuna Uzumaki and since you're able to remember my sensei's moves you must not be that drunk anymore. Did my blade sober you up a little?" Kazuma said with a smirk on his face. The young hunter scanned the room for any escape routes while everyone else stood there in shock. The muscular hunter just laughed at the cockiness.

"My name is Chief! Yuna was the best ninja I've ever fought against! One of the fastest ninjas of existence. If I'm not mistaken, you showed that same ability. It wasn't as good nor as fast. Those drawbacks will be your downfall if you don't develop the technique more. Even Yuna isn't on the level of the Yellow Flash of the Leaf. What was the name of that technique again?" Chief said with a cocky grin on his face.

"Flying Raijin" Kazuma said in a low voice. Chief already knew the name of the technique, how could he forget such a fast and powerful technique.

Chief laughed. "Oh that's right. Its still a dangerous technique no matter who uses it. My men will have to be on guard while fighting you. You're formidable young Kazuma! If you weren't going to die in this tavern today, you'd have become a great hunter. Get him boys!"

The lackeys rushed towards Kazuma with blazing speeds. They were all B rank hunters. Kazuma was C rank at best, but only 1 S-rank technique that had a terrible drawback. Especially against 5 other hunters. Kazuma got into a fighting stance, waiting for the attacks to come so that he could counter the attacks. Everyone was moving slow though in his eyes. Kazuma was naturally fast, and his reaction speed was top notch.

Kazuma dashed at the hunters so quick that he disappeared from their line of view for just a moment. The young hunter used his sword to cut lackey #3's achilleas. A lackey managed to kicked Kazuma, sending him flying towards another lackey. Kazuma threw his sword into the ground. "Flying Raijin" then the young hunter disappeared and reappeared. He stumbled a bit. He was clearly disoriented and hurt. Even more disoriented that the first time he had used it. Kazuma was holding onto his right arm. It was clearly in a lot of pain.

"So fast" Lackey #4 said.

"Yeah, it's crazy. This kid is the real deal."

The young hunter was clearly getting tired of fighting. He had to end it now or things would get bad for him. "It's 5 of you here. I could kill 2 of you before you'd eventually take me down. You are all stronger and have more experience than me, but 2 of you are guaranteed to die. Would you rather die out in the battlefield or die right here in this Tavern without getting paid?" Kazuma's stare was cold. His green eyes piercing the muscular man's very soul.

Behind his four lackeys, Chief contemplated what he was going to do. His drunken mind was telling him to kill this child, but in the back of his mind a little voice was telling him not too. "Guess I'm listening to the little voice tonight." Chief sat down at the table and grabbed the entire bottle of sake. "You got lucky today kid."

Kazuma scoffed and began walked out the door.

"Wait kid, tell Yuna I'm going to kill her. She can't keep running forever" Chief said. His voice was lower and less threatening than it was before. He clearly wasn't as drunk as he was before. Kazuma looked back at the man. His eyes still cold and unchanging.

"She's dead…" Kazuma said, then he finally walked out the door. Leaving Chief in a state of shock. He couldn't fathom the thought of someone besides himself being able to defeat her. Yuna was too good of a ninja to just get killed. Who could have done this to her? Who was strong enough to defeat her? Who could match her speed and intelligence? Chief needed answers and the only one that could give him those answers had just walked out the door. He dashed out the door as fast as he could.

"Kid wait just one more moment. Who killed her? How did she die? What did this?" He screamed out. He was clearly angry. "What was his relationship like with sensei Yuna? Were they close? Did they share a special connection in the past? I know earlier he said that sensei was the strongest person he ever fought, but did their relationship go much deeper than that?" Kazuma thought to himself.

"A snake killed my master… A pale and ugly one… I'll kill him one day… for my sensei" Kazuma said, causing Chief's eyes to widen in shock.

"Orochimaru?" He questioned, this caused Kazuma to turn around quickly. With a look so fierce, it caused the older hunter to gulp.

Kazuma began walking closer to him. "Is that his name? Orochimaru? Where can I find him? What village does he live in?" Kazuma shouted. Chief backed away from the young hunter. Kazuma was emitting an energy so close to blood lust, it could probably poison the older hunter.

"L-l-last thing I h-heard was he l-l-lived in the Leaf Villa—" before Chief could answer the question, the last thing he saw was a black flash.
