So...it's been a while, but I finally managed to make something semi-cohesive. And because it's May 4th, I decided to post it! Not sure if it's any good, but I liked it :D
Cody poured water into the pot and set it to boil. He glanced at his chrono. Right on time. Obi-wan would've been down already and went back to his office. Cody grinned. Now if only the water would boil…
Cody got out bread, ham, and cheese. He took a few leaves of lettuce he'd gotten just for this occasion and put them on the sandwich. He washed a handful of strawberries and set them on the plate beside the sandwich.
Once the water was boiling, Cody put the tea bag in and steeped it. Once it was done, he poured it into Obi-wan's mug and grabbed the plate of food he'd made. Then he walked up to Obi-wan's office. He paused, unable to knock, and instead decided to just call.
"General? I got something for you." The door opened. Obi-wan's eyes widened.
"Cody?"
"Lunch." Cody said, stepping past Obi-wan and setting the food on a desk.
"Thank you, Cody." Obi-wan said. Cody smiled.
"Thank you, Obi-wan." He replied.
Rex paused at Anakin's door. He could hear the Jedi inside, singing loudly. Normally he just did this in the shower, but Rex couldn't hear any water running. He knocked. The singing cut off abruptly.
"Coming!" Anakin called. "I was just…listening to the radio!" Rex snorted.
"Sure, you were."
"Oh! Rex. Hi." Anakin poked his head out the door. His blond hair was dripping. Rex took a step back.
"Don't you use a towel, sir?" He asked. Anakin snorted.
"Nah. Did you need something?"
"I, uh, just brought you something. From the boys." Rex held out the box. Anakin took it gently.
"Wow, Rex. How did you get this?" He said. Rex shrugged.
"Y'know." He said. If he told the general that they had scraped up every credit they could manage to buy him a simple wooden box and fill it with candy, he would get embarrassed.
"We just wanted to thank you, Anakin. For being such a good general. And a good friend." Anakin looked at Rex and smiled.
Bly bit his lip nervously as he stared down at the card and chocolates from the 327th. He hesitated, trying to think of something to do, when he heard footsteps behind him.
"What's that?" Aayla asked, leaning over Bly's shoulder.
"It's for you." Bly said. "We didn't have much, but…I hoped you'd like it."
"Oh, Bly." Aayla picked up the card and smiled. "This is so sweet."
"We just wanted to thank you for caring for us." Bly said, blushing. Aayla brushed her hand over his shoulder.
"You are welcome, Bly."
Fox very carefully wrapped it in the packing paper and stuck it together with paste. The Guard had bartered junk for a few credits and had bought paint and a canvas. They had proceeded to paint a picture of Quinlan and the Guard. Fox was going to give it to him. He just hoped the Jedi was actually at the Temple. Tucking the wrapped picture under his arm, Fox left the barracks and headed towards the Jedi Temple. He entered and knocked at Quinlan's door. Quinlan opened it.
"Heya Fox. Something wrong?"
"No. We—the Guard and I—we have something for you." Fox held out the picture, carefully pulling it out of the wrapping. He braced himself a little as Quinlan looked. Quinlan's eyes widened, and he took the picture.
"That is awesome, Fox! Did you guys paint it?"
"Yeah—" Fox said, but he was cut off and Quinlan hugged him.
"Thank you!" Quinlan chirped. Fox hugged his Jedi back.
Wolffe took a deep breath and looked down at the gift in his hands. He shouldn't be doing this. It was inappropriate behavior towards a commanding officer. But…Plo was their Jedi. And their buir. He wanted to show how much he appreciated him. And so Wolffe had carved him a token shaped like their legion's mark. On the back he'd written a short message from the Pack. The Pack. They'd never let him live it down if he didn't give this to Plo. Wolffe reached up and knocked on Plo's door.
"Good evening, Wolffe." Plo said, opening the door.
"The Pack made this for you." Wolffe said, holding out the token on it's leather string. Plo took it. He was silent for a moment.
"You made this?" He asked.
"Yes." Wolffe replied. "I carved it. But the Pack helped. We wanted to thank you. For…you know. For being our Jedi." He meant more than Jedi, he meant buir. Plo looked at him and Wolffe knew he was smiling.
"Thank you, my son."
"Commander Tano! Ahsoka!" Fives called, running through the halls. Ahsoka poked her head out of the room.
"Yeah? What's up?"
"We've got something to show you." Fives said, grinning with anticipation.
"What is it?" Ahsoka asked, hurrying up to him.
"It's, uh, it's a, uh, thing. Come see." Fives said, forgetting what Rex had told him to say. Ahsoka cocked her head and then shrugged.
"Okay." Fives walked back towards the hangar, Ahsoka bouncing along next to him. Fives opened the door and stepped in. It was dark. Ahsoka blinked.
"What—" The lights flashed on and clones jumped out from behind the boxes.
"Happy Jedi Day!" They shouted. Fives clapped Ahsoka on the shoulder.
"Surprise! We got you cake!"
