Welcome to my latest SVU story this one was a plot that just had to be written.
While my all-time favorite pairing to write is Alex & Olivia my second favorite pairing is Amanda & Olivia this story will be an Amanda/Olivia story hopefully it is enjoyed by all.

Here are some important things to keep in mind as you read:
Olivia is Captain she was married to Alex but Alex died two years ago Liv has Alex's fortune Liv doesn't have Noah
Fin is Sargent and is engaged to Phoebe
Amanda doesn't have Jessi or Billie
Kat is dating Casey Novak they have been together a year Casey is rich & Homicides ADA
Carisi is ADA
Anything else will be covered in an authors' note or in story.
Chapter1 The Secrets We Keep
Amanda had been at SVU for eight years and for as long as she could remember she always had a thing for her co-worker turned boss Olivia.
While Amanda had a thing for Olivia for the longest time, she managed to keep her feelings hidden out of respect for Olivia's marriage to Alex she learned quickly those two were as close to soulmates as can be.
When Alex died two years ago in a tragic car accident the entire squad saw the change in Olivia hell most in the one-six thought losing Alex would have caused Olivia to hang up the badge for good but somehow it had the opposite affect she worked harder at her job.
Although Olivia seemed to have healed to most those at the one-six knew Olivia would forever have an Alex sized void in her heart that to this day no one was able to fill.
While Amanda knew she would never be Alex something told her maybe she could create a space in Olivia's heart where she could fit.
Amanda knew that cracking the code of Olivia Benson's heart wouldn't be easy but it was a challenge she was willing to take on.
As Amanda stood at the doors to the one-six she caught a glimpse of a black Jaguar pulling up to the curb seeing the familiar ace of spades air freshener on the mirror she knew it was Casey dropping off Kat before heading to work herself.
Amanda saw Kat and Casey share a quick kiss before Kat headed towards the entrance.
Amanda saw Kat dressed in an expensive all black pants suit looking like she had it all.
While she wouldn't admit it, Amanda was jealous of the relationship Kat and Casey had wondering if she would ever have that.
Kat noticed Amanda at the front door and walked in with her.
"Rollins you're late I'm usually walking in to you at your desk not at the front door.
"Yeah, traffic was a bitch lets get inside before Cap has our asses".
The two walked into the bullpen seeing Fin in a mountain of paperwork.
Fin looked up and saw the duo walk in.
"Bout time you two walked in we need all our paper work in order before lunch Liv has to meet with comp stat she wants to avoid getting chewed out."
"On it, Fin." Amanda said as both she and Kat sat down and got to work hoping they didn't catch any major cases for the day.
The squad spent the next three hours doing paper work Kat looked over at the clock seeing that it was a little after noon when she saw a delivery man step into the bullpen.
"Delivery for Kat Tamin."
Kat got up and signed for the package.
The delivery man handed Kat a bag.
Kat looked at the soft material of the bag noticing it contained the logo of the jewelry store Casey often shopped at.
Kat opened the bag and pulled out a big square box Kat opened the box seeing a gold necklace with Kat's name engraved on the chain diamond lettering.
Kat looked at the gift and was stunned knowing from the way the piece was crafted it costs at least six figures.
"Dam Kat nice piece."
"Thanks, Fin I wasn't expecting this from Casey she spoils me sometimes."
Kat noticed the bag also contained an elaborate card needless to say reading it caused her to blush, after reading the card Kat locked the gift in her draw and went back to work on her files.
After another hour Olivia emerged from her office ready to head over to comp stat.
"Fin run point while I'm gone if need be, I'll have my cell."
"We got it Liv go have fun at comp stat."
"Funny Fin." Olivia remarked heading out towards the elevator.
The squad spent the majority of the day doing grunt work gratefully the phone hadn't gone off about a case.
The day largely went by without incident Olivia came back from her meeting luckily in one piece and to her amazement the squad room had been fairly quiet save a few domestic calls that were open and shut Olivia spent her day looking through stats and cross-checking forms it was days like this were she wished Alex was still around right about now she'd get a call from Alex who'd offer to bring her food and the two would have a pseudo romantic meal together.
Olivia looked to her right where a picture of her and Alex sat which was their anniversary cruise at this moment Olivia was struggling to hold back tears she began to hear "Butterfly Kisses." In her head it was the song played at Alex's memorial service the song was one of mixed emotions for Olivia sadness because of the last time she heard it but happiness because she knew hearing it was like having a piece of Alex with her.
While she wouldn't admit this to just anyone she would often wonder if she would ever find someone who would be able to understand her at least a tenth of what Alex did.
Olivia was jarred from her thoughts by Fin.
"Sorry for the interruption Liv but we got a call from mercy vic was attacked outside of that new club Arcane.
"Fine let's go."
"I'll meet you by the elevator."
Liv grabbed her jacket and headed for the elevator meeting the team and heading for mercy.
Luckily for the squad the drive over to mercy was a quick one with no traffic.
Once the squad made it over to the hospital Olivia was stopped by a blonde doctor.
"Captain glad you're here vics name is Tina Ambrose 29 came ran all the standard tests all fluid tests came back negative x-rays showed two bruised ribs a mouse on her left eye but she doesn't want to talk to anyone about the how maybe you can get info from her."
"Alright take me to her I'll see what we can get."
The doctor led Olivia to the room where Tina was and found her looking over at the tv.
Tina was a 5'7 brunette with hazel eyes.
"Hey Ms. Ambrose I'm captain Olivia Benson SVU care to tell me anything about tonight?"
"Sure, detective I was walking out of my gym I train MMA and was just wiping down the gym mats for the night and locking up when I got jumped heading to my car, I blame myself I'm an ace kickboxer I shouldn't have let this happen."
Tina what happen to you wasn't your fault and I promise you we'll do what we can to make sure the person that did this is behind bars."
Tina looked at Olivia and even though she was still trying to process what had happened to her something told Olivia would keep her word and find her assaulter.
"Tina is there anyone who you can think of that may have wanted to hurt you?"
"The only person who comes to mind is Dean James he was a trainer who helped at my gym from time to time he asked me out for drinks a couple times and the last time I took him up on his offer he got a little too comfortable with me while we were out and tried to touch me so I punched him and we haven't spoken since, but he has sent friends to the gym that have hit on me and I've turned them down partly because I don't want anything to do with them and partly because my girlfriend Christina isn't someone I want to lose."
"Okay Tina do you know where we could find Dean or any of his friends?"
"You could try the new track near central park meat heads like Dean are crazy runners."
"Thanks Tina if you need anything I'll leave you my card you call me anytime day or night."
"Will do Olivia and thank you I just hope no one else has to go through what I did."
Once Olivia and Amanda were done getting information about the case, they headed back to the squad not knowing what they would be going up against.
That does it for the opening chapter next chapter will cover the start of the case and the building blocks for Amanda and Olivia will begin to form.
