"Listen to me Shikamaru, this happens all the time. The victim claims to be on something and then tells us they don't remember doing what they did but in reality, they were wide awake the whole time! 'I don't know your honor! All I remember doing is waking up, how was I supposed to know I killed a man!' It's not gonna fool the judges and it sure as hell won't fool me" Sasuke said when he jabbed his piece of paper at the man in cuffs in front of him and his partner.

"That is correct Sasuke, but come on! We sent Ino out there and she still hasn't woken up from her coma, all I'm saying is that maybe that 'therapist' drugged Ino and Sasori alright?" Shikamaru yawned while lighting his 5th cigarette today. "We have the woman in custody and I think we've almost gotten her to confess on killing that man" "but listen you ever think that she was a con?"

"What?"

"Well, she said it herself, that she pulled his 'energy' from his body. It sounded like she didn't believe in all the spirit crap or something" "I'm thinkin' that someone hired her to kill the guy"

"Hey wait a second you might be on to something Shikamaru...Hinata!" Sasuke shouted out the room and a black-haired woman came into view. "Please take Sasori to the holding cell" She nodded and took the red-haired suspect who hadn't spoken yet since after they had found him by a dead body.

AFTER the case, Shikamaru and his team had learned he was correct. The therapist had been hired to kill. But nonetheless, she had been charged with attempted murder and fraud. Sasori was let free since he had been framed. Shikamaru had been helping close up before he found Sasuke still in his office. He softly knocked on the door to get his attention. "How come you're still here?" He asked, taking another cigarette to smoke before he realized he had forgotten his lighter.

"Uh just finishing some reports.." He lied. Shikamaru wasn't convinced.

"Is it Sakura?" He asked calmly while Sasuke was shocked. "I thought Uchiha's didn't grieve or whatever. You guys act so high and mighty I would think that you wouldn't even care that she cheated on you."

"Of course you'd figure it out and hey, I'm not that cold-hearted...I just didn't think she would ever cheat on someone like me. She chased over me all high school! You remember dont you?" Sasuke sighed.

"How could I forget? It was such a drag, I swear her voice was so annoying when I was trying to take my naps." He groaned at the thought of the pinkette running around screaming 'Sasuke kun!'

"You shouldn't have been sleeping during class anyway." Sasuke shrugged and Shikamaru almost laughed, if it weren't for the yawn that erupted from his mouth.

"Tell you what, you go home and get some actual sleep Mr hotshot Leo?" Shikamaru turned and left the area.

"Sure thing lieutenant!" Sasuke called after, knowing he hated when he called him that.

WHEN Sasuke finally made it home he sighed and closed his front door. He noticed the chill in his home and wondered when he left the air on. He shrugged it off and went to take a shower.

When he finally finished, he made him two hot pockets. Ever since Sakura left, he hadn't had a homecooked meal in a while and he couldn't cook to save his life. So he just stocked up on frozen foods and sometimes he'd go to a fancy restaurant or something. Hey, he had enough money from his job to do it so why not. When they finished he sat down on his couch to watch tv while he ate. About 20 minutes into the show, he heard a loud thump coming from his bedroom. He grabbed his gun from beside him (he always had one near. it a habit) and slowly walked to his room. He opened the door with the gun in front of him and moved it around just in case anyone was out in the open. He found that his lamp had fallen off the nightstand. "Who's there?!" He shouted and giggling was heard behind Sasuke before he was blindfolded.

"My my you're a gorgeous one...I never thought I would get to see such a hot human up close" The voice said sweetly while moving their hands slowly cup across Sasuke's chest. Sasuke was shivering a little from the hands trailing across his lower stomach way too close to his waistband.

"Who are you?" Sasuke asked and the person chuckled then he felt something wet on his neck trail up to his earlobe.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" The voice whispered in his ear. It was sweet. Like honey. "I'll see you soon" They said before disappearing. That night Sasuke searched all over his home and the outside of his home. He also ended up with little sleep.

WHEN Sasuke made it into the office that morning he was alerted to meet Shikamaru in his office. "You called lieutenant?" Sasuke asked.

"Yes, I did. We have a new teammate" He said, dragging what Sasuke assumed to be his first cigarette this morning and pointing to the male sitting in the chair in front of his desk. He checked out this boy. He's beautiful...how can a human be so...hot? He had golden blonde hair, azure eyes that ruled over the ocean more than its great white sharks, tan skin, a feminine body. Well as most you can get or for a male anyway, he had curves any woman would kill for. He was so the Uchiha's type, not that he would admit that though "His name is Naruto Uzumaki"

"Hello! Dattebayo!" Naruto waved at Sasuke, his loud voice booming through the office. Sasuke' eyes widened, his voice sounded so familiar

"Hn." Sasuke replied cooly.

"Anyway... He will be joining our two-man squad, he is a newbie so I'd like for you to show him around all of the ropes and troublesome stuff you know?" Shikamaru yawned once again. "I suggest taking him out on your patrol" Sasuke nodded and walked out of the office, expecting the newbie to follow.

"You don't talk a lot do you?" Naruto asked, running next to Sasuke. So he was hyperactive too. Just great.

"Hn" Sasuke replied.

"Boy, you really are an Uchiha, you seem cold and you have only said two things to me- well if you can count them as words I mean" and Sasuke ignored him, as he did most people.

"Sasuke! I have those reports you asked for!" Ten-Ten yelled running up to the two of them with a huge stack of paper.

"Thanks" He grabbed the stack and tried to proceed to walk to his car but he was stopped by Ten-Ten's voice.

"Hey is this a new guy? Wow, he's cute!" She squeaked and Naruto blushed.

"O-oh thank you" He stuttered which made her squeal more.

"Don't you have something to do Ten-Ten?" Sasuke hated most of the females here, they were all so annoying, and Ten-Ten was no exception to this. He also hated distractions.

"Oh right! I have a meeting with Neji I need to get to!" and just like that, Sasuke was interested. Neji was his rival in this department, he actually had been since middle school. It wasn't frowned upon by their families though. The Hyuuga and Uchiha's had always been at some sort of war so as natural, so would Sasuke and Neji.

"What meeting is he holding this time" Sasuke's voice was laced with no emotion, as usual.

"Oh um..something about the shortages in male officers, I think some of our people have started disappearing from thin are and we haven't been able to find any traces of evidence as to why." Ten-Ten explained.

"Maybe they all went on a vacation" Naruto said, causing a giggle from Ten-Ten. She must be flirting. Ten-Ten didn't giggle.

"I doubt that's the case, usuratonkachi"

"Hey! Don't call me that!" Naruto yelled at Sasuke and his fists clenched with rising agitation.

"Usuratonkachi"

"Teme!"

"Dobe"

"Jerk!"

"Anyway, ill be on my way. Nice to meet you new guy..er whatever your name is" Ten-Ten interrupted, Much to Sasuke's favor.

"Oh um, my name is Naruto Uzumaki!"

"Well, I'll see you soon Naruto" She quickly nodded before leaving.

"Hn." Sasuke continued walking until they made it to the car and Naruto looked at him like he was stupid. "What?"

"What is that" Naruto pointed to the car. 'He has to be joking- He doesn't know what a car is? He really is a dobe'

"A car?" Naruto had quickly changed his composure.

"No you teme, I meant that!" Sasuke looked in the car and found Sakura sitting inside.
