Warning: I am bad at pov. It might sometimes be in 2nd person or 3rd person. Hell, it might even be mixes of two of them. So I'll be warning you all from the start as you can turn back now, or else you would probably get a headache reading this.
Also this is my first fanfic so it might not be good.
Shocked.
That was the only emotion that could describe how he was feeling. After all, not many people could say that they travelled back to the past nearly twenty to thirty years ago.
Naruto, the acclaimed Child of Prophecy, now stood face to face with a much younger looking toad sage. Jiraiya, his godfather stared back at him with a confused expression painting his face.
"Hey, kid are you alright?"
Staring at the sannin, Naruto could only nod with his mouth agape.
"Listen, I'm going to need to ask you how you got here. Not everyday some random kid pops up into these here sacred lands" Jiraiya said.
"Oh, by the way the name's Jiraiya. Though you probably heard my name by now, I'm pretty famous afterall" The toad sannin said with a hint of pride.
"Uugh… the name's uh… M-Menma…" Naruto said. Looking at the toad sannin's features he concluded the man was currently in his mid twenties and the fact that he gloated over his fame, he was pretty certain that the man had already gained his title by battling Hanzo the Salamander.
Knowing this, Jiraiya had probably met Nagato by now and had also probably published his book 'Tales of the Utterly Gutsy Ninja'. It would be suspicious if he introduced himself as the same name from the man's book.
"Well, Menma… as I said, tell me how you got here? Not everyday someone pops up in the famous of the Toad summons." Jiraiya said as he analyzed the boy's features.
"I was trying to see which summoning animal I'm most compatible with so I cast hand seals for the summoning jutsu without having signed any contracts" Naruto stated, getting the older man to nod.
"I see, I see. Casting the summoning jutsu without signing a contract to any summoning animals would reverse summon you to the ones you're most compatible with. Well, pretty stupid but I get it" The toad sage said as he nodded.
Hearing that caused Naruto to curse in his mind. 'Damned pervert, you told me that's how you got acquainted with the toads in the first place!'
"Well, anyway good job kid! You pose a good affinity with the toads just like the great Jiraiya-Sama!" Jiraiya said as he got into his ridiculous pose.
"Yeah, yeah. So what do I do now?" Naruto asked as he rolled his eyes.
"What's with that reaction?! I'm the great Jiraiya you know, the one that fought off Hanzo the Salamander!" Jiraiya said as he focused on the 'Hanzo' part.
"No, it was you ALONG with the help of two others that fought Hanzo to a 'standstill' " Naruto said as he emphasized on the 'standstill'.
"Ugh.. fine kid, you gotta meet the elders to see if you're worthy to sign it. Here, follow me" Jiraiya said as he walked off. Looking at the man he smiled a little before he quickly followed.
As he followed Jiraiya, Naruto couldn't help but feel that everything that happened so far was but a dream, though everything happening in front of him said otherwise. It was real, he really travelled back in time.
He recalled what events that led him in his situation in the first place.
Kaguya the rabbit goddess, old man six path's mother, had hit him with her space/time jutsu. But moments later to save him, his enemy turned good, Obito as well as Sasuke, both used their space/time jutsu's to save him.
Turns out getting hit with THREE space/time jutsu could have shitty results. From what the old man six paths told him, the fragile fabric of space and time was ripped open with the combined might of the three space/time jutsu's.
After that, he was sucked into the void. A place that was eternal, sort of like purgatory? He didn't know how to put it into words other than the fact that time was frozen. Well at least from what the sage told him. Turns out, that was also where the old man six path's ghost roamed as he monitored the world of the living.
In the void, he once again met the old man in which the sage told him of his situation. He had to admit he was panicked at first but the sage said otherwise. The sage told him it was a blessing in disguise. As he was out of the confines of time and space, the sage could potentially send him back in time and slay Madara and prevent all the other crap that was responsible for the 4th great ninja war.
Despite the fact that he would probably never see his friends again he still readily agreed. After all so many people died in the war, thousands of ninja from all across the great villages, Neji being one of them. If he could prevent those deaths, he would be more than willing to do so.
Though, the old man had to tweak his body a bit as well as manipulate his memories. First, he had to change the DNA in his body as the sage stated that if he were to meet anyone that he had close blood ties to like his parents or grandparents, he might just trigger a time paradox.
Since he was the reincarnation of his son, the sage said it was easy. He tweaked his body and added part of his remaining Yin half of his chakra. It essentially made him a pseudo Uchiha as he could also awaken the Sharingan. As Indra inherited the Yin side giving him the old man's eyes while Asura inherited the Yang side of which granted his sage body.
Now if someone were to look at him he would essentially look the same as before, but his blonde hair now dyed black and his sky blue eyes were now a deep purple as the sage purified his Uzumaki half by injecting him with more of Asura's, the Uzumaki clan's ancestor's chakra.
After that he told him to perform the hand signs for the summoning jutsu, in which the sage would guide him and send him through the fabrics of time. After all, summoning was essentially a travel between worlds, another space/time jutsu.
And low and behold it had worked just as the sage said it would as he found himself in the past
After he was finished recalling the events, he now found that he was face to face with the toad sage.
"Well, good to see you back in the world of the living. Like damn, you were hella spacing out" Jiraiya's voice rang in his ear as he smiled wryly.
"Sorry… I have a lot on my mind recently" He replied before facing the toad sage, the same one that taught the Sage of the Six Paths all those years ago.
"So… what do I do to sign the contract?" Naruto asked no one in particular.
"What indeed, boy" A familiar voice rang out as he turned to spot Pa. He felt a smile form in his face as he recalled the old toad that taught him sage mode.
"Uh… Menma… Menma Uzumaki, so who are you?" Naruto said as he studied the face of Jiraiya from the corner of his eye. He had specifically told his last name now so the man can know that he was an ally. Maybe this way, Jiraiya would bring him back to the leaf? He didn't know, planning was never really his thing.
And as he thought, the much younger looking toad sannin's eyes widened ever so slightly.
"An Uzumaki huh, haven't had one contracted with us in quite some time" Pa croaked as he gazed at Naruto and analyzed him.
"But apart from your eyes, you don't quite look the part" the toad said.
"Er… haha, yeah. My mother was an Uzumaki, while my father… well he wasn't. So I guess I'm half? Though I took my mom's surname" Naruto said as he scratched the back of his head.
"Mn, Mn. I see" The toad said before looking at the elderly toad sage.
"Gamamaru-sama, this young one seems to be fated with our race. Should I let him sign the contract and let him be our summoner?" He asked
"Hmm? Who? Where is he?" The great toad said before Naruto spoke up.
"It is I, Great Toad Sage" Naruto said as he bowed. He was beate- taught manners and courtesy from Sakura and Tsunade.
"Ho~Ho~! Hmm, come closer. Let me see your future" The great toad sage said as he laid eyes on Naruto before his eyes widened.
"Y-YOU!" He yelped, catching the attention of Jiraiya and Pa.
"HaHa! Jiraiya-boy, take this one in. Also let him sign our contract" The great toad said as he gazed at Naruto. "The fate of the world is in your hands, will you be the one to save it or let it get destroyed…"
"Fate of the world…?! Does that mean, he's the child of prophecy? Then what about…" Jiraiya mumbled to himself…
"Alright, come Menma-boy! We have to let you sign our summoning scroll!" Pa said as he hopped away. He looked towards Jiraiya who was mumbling to himself before he shrugged and followed after Pa.
After signing the summoning contract, Naruto finally heaved a sigh of relief. After all, he didn't know if using his alias 'Menma Uzumaki' would work since you need to sign with one's real name.
Though he figured it was probably because he was no longer 'Naruto Uzumaki' since 'Naruto' didn't exist yet in this timeline.
"So… any reason that you are following me?" Naruto said as he stared at the white haired man.
"Well, I mean the Great Toad did say to take you in… Say, are you really an Uzumaki?" Jiraiya asked.
"Yes, for the last time Jiraiya, I am" I grumbled at the perverted sannin.
"Cool, cool. Where's your parents then, are you affiliated with any ninja villages?"
"... No, my parents are dead. And as for me being a part of a ninja village, nah. I mean my mom taught me ninjutsu and how to fight, but that was because she wanted the Uzumaki legacy to live. But as far as I could remember, I just lived in a backwater village built from war refugees" Naruto said as he lied through his teeth.
Though if a Yamanaka were to search his memories, it would be found true since the sage was the one who implanted him with those memories.
"...I see" Jiraiya said as he nodded.
"Do you have a place to stay? You can come to the leaf if you don't, there's even another Uzumaki there. Though you have to swear loyalty to the village" Jiraiya said.
"Is that so? Well, I mean mom said the Leaf and Uzushio were allies so I guess why not" Naruto said as he nodded.
"Great! By the way, want to learn under me?" Jiraiya suddenly asks "I mean, you're too old to be apprenticed but I can give you pointers"
"The Great Toad Sage trusts you so I can trust you. And besides, he said I should take you under my wing" Jiraiya said.
"Heh? What's there to teach? I might be stronger than you ya'know!" Naruto smirked
"Bah! Yeah right, you're stronger than me? Bah! I'm the Great Jiraiya-sama!" Jiraiya said as he snorted. "Give it a few more years brat, so anyway, is that a yes or a no?"
Naruto's eyes twitch at the snort before sighing. "Fine…"
Though he appeared to be unwilling, he was actually happy. Though he didn't show it because he didn't want to be too suspicious. Though, yes people would jump at the thought of being taught by a sannin, Naruto was currently only a few years younger than Jiraiya.
Not to mention he still had Sage mode, he still had his Kyuubi Chakra cloak, and also Six paths sage mode as the old man six paths never took them away from him. Now he also could potentially awaken the sharingan?! He was pretty much unstoppable.
But the Kyuubi… He still had his timeline's Kuruma sealed in him, though his furry friend was in a hibernated state. Though thanks to the sage giving him fake memories he has a perfect cover up on how he is also a Kyuubi jinchuuriki.
"By the way, do you need to like, go home to gather your stuff?" Jiraiya asked as Naruto shook his head.
"No, I left the village I grew up in when I turned like Fourteen. Ever since then I was just wandering so I don't really have anything else except for those on me" Naruto said as he looked at his tattered clothes from the Fourth Great Ninja war.
"Ugh great. I picked up a poor broke stray, but don't worry the great Jiraiya-sama will take pity on you and take you in" Jiraiya said smugly.
"Screw you!"
*Pooof!*
The feeling of being reverse summoned washed over him as he now stood at the gates of the hidden leaf village. He now wore a simple black shirt and pants given to him by Jiraiya as his old clothes were too tattered.
The gates looked the same as well as the placement of the buildings with obvious differences from his memories of before Nagato destroyed the village.
"Well, here we are. Home sweet home!" Jiraiya said as he dismissed the toad that had reverse summoned them.
"Jiraiya-sama!" One of the chunin guarding the gates saluted with Jiraiya waving him back.
"Well, let's go" Jiraiya said as he walked on ahead.
Looking forward, he couldn't help but spot the differences between the konoha in front of him and the one he grew up in from his memories. Shaking his, Naruto followed after his future master.
Walking along to the Hokage tower, Naruto couldn't help but notice the respect the civilians and ninja had for Jiraiya. Some even sent him a nod as to acknowledge him.
'Well, I guess this is when his fame was at its peak' Naruto thought to himself.
Still, he was quite shocked by how many Uchiha were roaming the village. Even before they were massacred their living quarters were moved to the outskirts of the village due to the tension caused by the Nine-tails' attack, so even then he barely saw them.
But now he saw that they mingled together with the other citizens going about their daily lives. Though he could still see that they were prideful and only hung out with other Uchiha's.
"Jiraiya-sensei!" A voice called out as it stopped Jiraiya and brought Naruto out of his musing.
Turning to see where the voice came from, Naruto fought back his shock as he forced his features not to widen in shock for the person he was staring at was his parents. Minato Namikaze followed by a beautiful redhead who he knew instantly to be his mother, Kushina Uzumaki. Looking at their ages, Naruto concluded that they were a few years younger than him by approximately 2 or 3.
"Ah Minato, Kushina" Jiraiya said as he nodded towards the two.
"Jiraiya-sensei, you came back? Does this mean you got permission from the toad's for me to sign the contract?" Minato asked expectantly.
"Ah? Oh… uh sorry kid. Something came up" Jiraiya said as he tried to avert his eyes from Minato's sad puppy eyes. Coughing he brought his hand up and patted the back of Naruto.
"I got to bring this kid here to meet my sensei. This blonde kid is my apprentice, here introduce yourself" Jiraiya said to Naruto who nodded lightly.
"Nice to meet you, Menma Uzumaki at your service" Naruto said as he stared at Minato's widening features before the blonde boy looked back at the now stunned redhead.
"U-UZUMAKI?! DID YOU JUST SAY UZUMAKI!" And before Minato could even open his mouth a red blurr past him as she appeared in front of Naruto asking or more like demanding him to answer her.
"Uh yeah" Naruto said nodding as he thought 'TOO CLOSE!'
"Oh my god! oh my god, ohmygodohmygodohmygod! I'm not alone!" She said before she grabbed Naruto's hand with her own as she shook it vigorously. "My name's Kushina Uzumaki 'tebbane!"
"Oh? So you're Kushina-hime? My mother told me about you when I was young, the daughter of our clan head that was evacuated here to the leaf before the destruction of Uzushio. Glad you're alright hime-sama" Naruto said gently as he followed the script of his implanted memories.
"H-hime-sama?!" She said, her face turning as red as her head. "N-no need for that! We're in the same clan after all" She said nodding to herself.
"I see, but I want to call you that. After all, you are the princess of our clan" Naruto said as he smiled though he couldn't help but roll his eyes as he heard Jiraiya say 'smooth' in the background.
'Urgh! I'm just following the script damnit! Stop giving me lewd thoughts ero-sennin!' Naruto cursed in his head.
"Alright, stop flirting. We got business to do" Jiraiya said as he held onto the collar of Naruto's shirt and dragged him away as he waved at Kushina and Minato.\
"I didn't even get to introduce myself…" Minato whispered.
Walking along the halls, Jiraiya arrived in front of a door before he kicked it open.
"Sensei! I'm back!" Jiraiya said as he gave out a hearty laugh not at all surprised by the furious yell that came after.
"Jiraiya! What have I told you about entering by kicking the door open!" The voice of a much younger Hiruzen said.
"What? You want me to enter by what? Through the window?" Jiraiya said jokingly before he gestured to Naruto to come in.
"Huff" The third hokage sighed before he asked "What do you want, Jiraiya? I'm in the middle of something important" He said as he gestured towards the other two sannin.
"Yeah, yeah. Me too, I've come and brought back a potential ninja under you. Plus he's another Uzumaki!" Jiraiya said, catching the attention of everyone in the room as they watched Naruto enter the room.
"You say he's an Uzumaki but he doesn't look like one" A twenty year old Tsunade Senju said as she eyed Naruto's now pitch black hair.
"My mother was an Uzumaki, I inherited my dad's hair color" Naruto said as he walked in. He almost wanted to run up and hug his surrogate grandfather but held it in as he knew the kage in front of him wasn't the same one that raised him.
No, the man in front of him was the God of Shinobi, also known as the Professor. He isn't that kind grandpa from his memories, right now he was still in his prime.
"Hmm… well, you certainly have the chakra capacity of an Uzumaki" The kage said as he gave Naruto a sharp look. "Mister?..."
"Menma, Menma Uzumaki" Naruto said, nodding towards the kage.
"An Uzumaki you may be…. But how do I know you aren't an enemy?" The third hokage said as he unleashed his chakra from his body trying to pressure him. The sannin froze as they all began to sweat a little, after all it was the full burnt pressure of a powerful kage level shinobi. Sure they were strong, but they were too young as well. Though they were surprised when they set their gazes towards Naruto.
Naruto only smiled unaffected by the pressure as he spoke " You can have a Yamanaka confirm it"
As he spoke those words, the third hokage got rid of his pressure allowing the sannin to breath. "...Very well, it was just a test but it doesn't hurt to check. Anything else?" The kage said, turning to Jiraiya.
And as the toad sage was about to speak, Naruto interrupted.
"Actually, yes" He said, getting a raised brow from the kage for speaking without permission.
"And what would that be?"
"Well, before I say it." Naruto said as he looked around the room "What I'm about to say is potentially an S ranked secret. If you don't want anyone else to hear it, then I suggest you get rid of those you don't trust now" He said as he got a confused look from Jiraiya and curious glances from the other two sannin.
"...Very well then" The third hokage said as he signaled with his hands and a second later some anbu in hiding left the area. "Everyone else here aside from you, I trust. I'll even activate some seals to prevent any unwanted ears. Now what is this secret you wanted to say"
Looking at the younger version of his surrogate grandfather, Naruto steeled his resolve before speaking. "For one, not only am I an Uzumaki. I am also an Uchiha." Naruto said to the third as he concentrated chakra to his eyes.
The sage of the six paths told him that he would now gain the ability to awaken the sharingan but ever since he got here, he hadn't tried to see if he already had it awakened.
Sure enough after injecting his eyes with chakra the world around him became more clear and vivid.
There were some gasps from some of the sannin and noises indicating their surprise but he ignored it as he stared at the third hokage. The man's expression still hadn't changed so he continued on.
"Now for the other part. Not only that but I am also a jinchuriki... of the Kyuubi" Naruto said as red chakra started bubbling out of his body. The violent aura of the kyuubi's chakra invaded the room, stiffening the poor sannin once again before Naruto retracted it.
"...I don't know who you are, but I assure you, you aren't the jinchuriki of the kyuubi. Which village are you from? Did they plan on making a jinchuriki infiltrate the leaf so they could release their tailed beast inside our village?" The third hokage snorted but before he could continue Naruto stopped him there.
"Stop. I am an ally. I assure you, do you think I would be revealing this if I wasn't." Naruto said before once again continuing so Hiruzen wouldn't stop him from further explaining.
"Now, I'm sure you are either suspicious or confused. After all, there should already be a jinjuriki of the kyuubi, Kushina-hime. But let me explain. You see my grandfather, Madara Uchiha"
Naruto explained as Hiruzen suddenly grew more serious and attentive whilst ignoring the stupefied sannin. "Once controlled the nine tails. Hell, he even used it to battle the first hokage, Hashirama Senju. But what no one knew was that before that famous battle he sealed half of the nine tails away."
Hearing such a thing, even Hiruzen's indifferent facade broke as his eyes widened.
"After a long and glorious battle with the first hokage, Madara did eventually lose. Though contrary to what others believed, he did not die. For you see just before the first hokage landed the final blow, Madara had casted a forbidden jutsu. Izanagi" Naruto said as he looked directly at the third hokage's eyes.
"As the Professor, you should know what that jutsu does" Naruto said as Hiruzen hesitantly nodded. "A forbidden jutsu that rewrites reality itself. The use can cast a genjutsu so strong that even reality is fooled. Making it seem as the user's death is nothing but an illusion, when the jutsu is cast all injuries even the death of the user is rewrited and the user will materialize in his previous position, all previous wounds prior to the activation of the jutsu gone, as if those injuries were an illusion"
"Yes, you are indeed the correct third hokage" Naruto nodded "But it is not without sacrifice. Casting that jutsu will cause the sharingan you used to cast it with to go blind." Naruto said once again, getting sounds of surprise from the sannin who had no knowledge of such a jutsu existing.
"Now, where was I? Ah, yes. Madara survived, but riddled with career ending injury. His body broken, one of his eyes gone blind. He could no longer carry out his revenge, so he went into hiding. It was even easier knowing that the outside world perceived him to be dead.
Eventually he forced himself onto a woman, a woman who he made bore his child. That woman was an Uzumaki as well, he wanted that woman to bear him a child so he can make that child the jinchuriki with the half of the kyuubi he had sealed away. That way he could groom that child to be a perfect weapon." Naruto stated
"An Uchiha with the durability, lifeforce, and chakra reserves of an Uzumaki. As well as the power of the nine tails. He wanted to use the child as a weapon against the leaf to destroy it, something even he failed to do. Unfortunately reality had other plans, the boy that was born, my father… was more Uchiha than Uzumaki." Naruto said with a sigh.
"Even compared to normal Uchiha, my father's chakra reserves were low, therefore he couldn't become a jinchuriki. He could not bear another child as the woman, my grandmother died through childbirth and even he was already getting too old. So that monster of a man concocted another plan. He taught my father, made him into a puppet and pulled strings for him to meet and fall in love with my mother. Another Uzumaki"
"Soon after, I was born. I was born with everything my grandfather wanted for his plans to work, so eventually he sealed the other half of the nine tails into me. Then slowly taught me how to fight. Of course back then I didn't know of his plan, he made me spend time with my parents. We were even like a normal family at some point." Naruto said, sighing to himself as he made it look like he was reliving fond memories before his face paused and twisted in anger.
"But of course that was all fake, it was all according to his plan. Grandfather- Madara, wanted me to get close to my parents, to feel love and in turn love them so he could take it away from me. So he could kill them for me to awaken my sharingan" Naruto said as he looked at the shocked expressions of the third hokage and his students. "Though eventually my parents found out of his plans and battled him, unfortunately Madara had since recovered a little bit and easily won. Through the help of my parents I escaped and ran away"
"That was a few years ago, though I didn't know where I was once I escaped as I never left the small village I was raised in. Asking around for the Whirlpool village or the hidden leaf, I found out I was at the other side of the world. After years of on foot, I finally made it here in the Land of Fire. Though when I got here I eventually grew tired and found out about the battle of Hanzo and the sannin and I thought that maybe if I could have a summon I could ride it to Konoha. After trying to find which summon I was fated with, I met Jiraiya and now were here" Naruto said.
"Any question? No? Good, now get a Yamanaka and check to see if I'm lying. After that can you give me a place to stay and some money for ramen?" Naruto said with a smile as he stared at the gaping mouths in front of him.
"...Wow… I'm speechless" Jiraiya said as he was the first one to recover from shock. Unlike his sensei and teammates, he wasn't really suspicious as he trusted the Great Toad Sage, he had
questions for sure, but he never saw Naruto as a threat due to his trust towards the toads.
"I...uh, sorry for your loss? But if it makes you feel any better, that was one hell of an origin story, mind if I take inspiration?"
"Uh, no? Go ahead" Naruto said confused as Jiraiya nodded and started writing in a small notepad as he explained. "I'm a novelist, I wrote a book about a gutsy ninja, though his origin story wasn't as cool as yours" The toad sage explained.
Moments after did the others finally comprehend what had happened.
"Wow, I am at a loss for words." Tsunade said as she gazed at Naruto, looking at him up and down. "Tsunade Senju by the way"
"Ah yes, heiress of the Senju. A pleasure, Tsunade-hime" Naruto said with a smile.
"UGh! Just Tsunade is fine… that pervert already ruined that nickname for me" She said as she gave Jiraiya the stink eye. Naruto chuckled at the sight before he heard the snake sannin speak.
"Today has been… full of surprises. To think I'm actually quite glad being dragged away from my research" Orochimaru said as he smiled at Naruto in a way that caused the former blond to want to hit him.
"Indeed… this- this is insane!" Hiruzen said as he deactivated the seals preventing others from listening in. He made a hand seal before and an anbu appeared kneeling in front of him. "Bring me Inoru Yamanaka" The third said but the anbu states still before he answered.
"Hokage-sama, Inoru Yamanaka is currently out on a mission. He along with a few others from his clan as well as the Nara and Akimichi had gone with him to the borders to make sure no fights break out between the rock and the leaf" The anbu stated
"Is there any other Yamanaka present?! Bring them here at once" Hiruzen stated.
"Yes, Inoichi, Yamanaka-sama's son is still in the village. I will retrieve him right away" He said as he flickered away.
Sighing, the third hokage fixed his gaze towards Naruto and spoke. "No matter how convincing your arguments and story may be, I would still need to check to see if they are true. Hopefully you will comply"
"Yeah, I figured. I just wanted to tell you beforehand so you know I am your ally and that I HATE MADARA UCHIHA" Naruto said emphasizing the last part with a small growl causing Hiruzen to chuckle slightly.
"This?! What is this?!" Inoichi yelled as he backed away with shock before turning towards his leader, the third hokage. Inoichi Yamanaka, the father of his friend Ino. He too died in the war, Naruto remembered.
"H-Hokage-sama! M-Madara Uchiha is alive?!" He asked though even though he tried yelling it out, his words were at the sound of a whisper.
"Huff… so what he said is true then…" Hiruzen already got his answer from Inoichi's reaction.
"Y-Yes! His memories all appear to be real, from training with THE MADARA UCHIHA and becoming the jinchuriki of the NINE TAILS" He said, emphasizing on the parts he was most shocked at.
"I see…" Hiruzen said his expression darkened. He shook his head before turning towards Inoichi. "Inoichi, everything you found out in this room is an S ranked secret punishable by death. I hope you can keep this to yourself" He said sternly.
"Y-Yes Hokage-sama! I'll take it to my grave!" He said.
"Good, you are free to go" Hiruzen said as he deactivated the seals, allowing the young man to leave before activating them again and turning to face Naruto.
"I guess, I believe you now." Hiruzen said "But, is Madara Uchiha really alive? How strong do you reckon he is?" He asked grimly.
"If only grandfather were here…" Tsunade said softly from the other side of the room. She wasn't feeling that well now knowing that a shinobi that could match the first hokage is still alive and very much still dead set on destroying the village.
"Damn, a fucking dude that can control the nine tails and cut up mountains is after the village. We are fucked!" Jiraiya said as he paced back and forth. At first he was distracted from how badass Naruto's backstory was, but now that he had time to think about it he nearly pissed his pants realizing his village's situation. All the while Orochimaru was silent, though there was a frown marring his pale face.
"Stop panicking. It'll do us no use, if worst comes to worst I'll fight. I have mastered the kyuubi's power… a perfect jinchuuriki was it called?" Naruto said before he became golden for a split second before he returned to normal. Although it was a split second everyone present felt the tremendous power he excluded.
"Though I think I am more than strong enough to fight my grandfather, he is tricky. That was why I came to the leaf, to request aid. Not to mention to tell you guys more about the plans of Madara Uchiha" Naruto said.
"There's more?!" Those in the room asked in unison as they stared at Naruto.
"Afraid so" Naruto said grimly.
"Madara… he, after destroying the leaf plans to do more. He wants world domination, to capture all the tailed beasts to form another entity, the ten tails" Naruto said before turning towards them "Are you all familiar with the sage of the six path?"
Nodding, Orochimaru answered "The sage was supposedly the origin of all chakra. He was the one that spread chakra to everyone. But what about it? It's nothing but a folktale"
"Yes, but from old ancient tablets of the Uchiha clan, ones my grandfather has kept hidden. I found out that he is real. You see the sage of the six paths had two things that made him extremely powerful… One was the rinnegan and the other was the ten tails. The sage was the jinchuriki of the ancient ten tails before he split it into nine separate tailed beasts." Naruto said as he caught sight of Jiraiya's eyes widening at the mention of the rinnegan.
"He plans to obtain these two things and unfortunately, he has already obtained one of them. The rinnegan." Naruto said
"What! How?!" Jiraiya asked as the other soon followed suit.
"Indeed, he has the sharingan not the rinnegan, right?" Orochimaru asked.
"Yes, but the rinnegan is the evolution of the sharingan. Much like how the sharingan can evolve from one tomoe to three tomoe and then to the mangekyou." Naruto said, shocking the others before Tsunade spoke up.
"Wait, if that's the case then more Uchiha with the rinnegan should have appeared. Yet there has never been anyone to appear with them. It was even believed that the rinnegan didn't even exist" She said
"It DOES exist. Though there's a specific condition to awaken them. First, you need both Senju and Uchiha DNA as well as the mangekyou sharingan and the wood release kekkei genkai. The reason being that the ancestors of both clans were the sons of the sage of the six paths" Naruto explained.
"In the battle with the first hokage, my grandfather had taken samples of the first's DNA. Flesh and blood, after that he fused them with his body thus giving him the rinnegan. At first he wanted to take my body but I'm pretty sure he has a plan B now that I have escaped his grasp" Naruto said. He gave them a couple of minutes to digest the information before he continued.
"You see, there is a jutsu that can be cast with the rinnegan. A jutsu that can bring someone from the dead at the expense of the caster's life. Madara was sneaky, by the time I was old enough to think on my own he already hid his rinnegan way. It was transplanted into a boy a few years my junior, I couldn't go get it with him watching my every move. He should be an Uzumaki like me, I'm guessing he would probably use the boy to cast the resurrection jutsu on him so he can get his body back, at his prime even" Naruto said before he felt a hand clasp on the collar of his shirt.
"Menma! This boy is- is he from the hidden rain village?!" Jiraiya asked.
"...yes, he is from Ame" Naruto nodded as Jiraiya let go, his legs buckling as he fell to the ground. "Menma! I'll help you, that- that boy is my student" Jiraiya said as Naruto forced himself not to smile.
"Alright, we'll save him. Don't worry." Naruto nodded. He was sure as hell going to save Nagato this time around.
"Wait, Menma. Do you know what Madara plan's to do with the ten tails and rinnegan?" Hiruzen asked.
"From the recordings in the ancient Uchiha tablet, he will probably try casting a jutsu called 'Infinite Tsukuyomi'. A genjutsu that will be reflected onto the moon so that every life form will be under his command" Naruto said as everyone else paled
"What should we do to stop him?" Orochimaru asked.
Naruto stared at Orochimaru before quickly answering "First we either find him first or find the rinnegan. We can find Madara and kill or detain him or find the holder of the rinnegan and protect him or destroy the rinnegan. That or prevent him from getting the tailed beasts"
"The second option is best. I know where Nagato is. Plus I don't really want to fight a legend greater than even Hanzo and for the third one we would need the cooperation of the other jinchuriki which are loyal to their villages. If we asked them they would probably think we covet their tailed beasts" Jiraiya said.
"You do know if we go after the rinnegan, Madara will most likely come after us as well" Tsunade deadpanned
"You're right" Jiraiya said as he paled.
"It's fine, I'll fight him" Naruto said.
"Alright, should we do it right away or wait a bit? Madara would probably have eyes on his rinnegan" Hiruzen asked.
"We'll wait, in the meantime I can teach Kushina-hime how to control the Kyuubi if you want" Naruto asked. "At least that way, we have a better chance at Madara not getting the Nine tails."
"Mn, yes. That would be the best course of action while Jiraiya can also prepare for travelling to Ame. He should call you when he is ready" Hiruzen said.
"Alright, dismissed" The kage said as the others nodded and left.
Alright, that's it for chapter 1. First of all, does Naruto seem a bit oc? Sorry if he does. Another thing to mention is Naruto's looks. As some of you might have guessed, he looks like Menma Uzumaki from the 'Road to Ninja' movie. And yes, I did take inspiration from 'Die Another Day' by NeonZangetsu. One of the first fanfics I read that got me hooked on Naruto time travel fics.
