"Long story short? I'm you, just a different version of you. Oh, and I'm a Gamer of unimaginable omniversal power." I just stared at the handsome white haired man in the all black trenchcoat and suit combo outfit. I could sort of believe that he was an alternate version of myself, after all I knew myself intimately and this guy just seemed like me. I also knew what a Gamer was, I had spent enough time reading fics on the internet to recognize that term immediately.

Ok, so another version of myself with unimaginable power is here in the void with me. Simple enough to understand. Here's the real question: Why is he here?

"Well, I guess you could say I'm playing a hunch. See, I'm going to reincarnate you, but I'm specifically not going to give you access to the gamer system." The Gamer version of me just smirked at me as he said that. "Oh, and just call me Hex, it'll make things easier since you haven't taken up the name yet."

I guess that made sense. It sort of sucked that I wouldn't get the easy ticket to unlimited power that was the gamer system, but at least I was getting Isekaied out of this empty void. I just wondered what world I'd be going to.

"About that, I've preselected your world for you. Don't worry, it's not a bad one, in fact it's one of the easier combat-oriented worlds out in the multiverse…" Hex made an idle gesture with his hand and a black screen with white text appeared.

Please Select your starter world:

[Remnant (RWBY)]

Oh, whatever shall I pick out of this plethora of options? If I had eyes right now, I'd be rolling them. With a thought I selected my only option and watched as the screen disappeared.

"Ok, now I'm going to que up the perk store, it's where you'll be buying your cheat powers for your new life. I'll be fair and give you the same starting balance I had, but I have already locked in one of your purchases for you. Sorry about that, but it's nothing you wouldn't choose yourself and I'll throw in the Silk Everything and Infinite Inventory perks as compensation since I'm sort of forcing your hand on this and not giving you access to the system outside of this little peek behind the curtains." With a snap of his fingers Hex brought up a new screen with two windows, one window had my already purchased perks and the other had the perks that were being offered to me.

I spent a long and grueling few hours carefully reading over everything, recalling all I could about canon RWBY, and then finally making my purchases. That perk that Hex forced on me had left me with seven thousand and four hundred credits so I had a pretty substantial budget to work with, and I used all of it.

Looking over my selected perks I felt happy with my choices.

"Well, you sure loaded yourself up. Even gave yourself a three month long prologue before you even get reincarnated for real. I'm actually pretty impressed." Hex smirked as he waved his hand and made the screens vanish.

I was pretty sure I was set to make Remnant my bitch now, and I could probably become king of the world by the time I turned eighteen. Sure, I could still potentially die in a wide variety of nasty ways, but given all my perks I'd be one badass motherfucker by the time the actual plot of RWBY started. I was pretty sure I'd be able to survive and escape a fight with anyone who could kill me by then.

"Oh, I should tell you that I changed a few things about this version of Remnant." Oh, that could be bad. Very bad. "Don't worry too much, these were good changes and didn't change the canon plot of the world too much. First of all, Jaune Arc is now Joan Arc, and Lie Ren was born female in this world as well. Secondly, Qrow is the biological father of the Rose twins that Summer will be giving birth to. Lastly, the brother gods are dead, if all the relics are collected together nothing will happen unless you are the one to do it, then I'll appear and take you and your entourage to a brand new world. Otherwise, everything should be pretty much what you expect from watching the show."

Ok, that wasn't bad at all. Ren and Jaune would probably make for cute girls, and they could be added to my harem now instead of simply serving as competition. I also sort of supported the fan theory of Qrow being Ruby's father already, so that change didn't matter to me at all. The brother gods were assholes, so their loss didn't matter to me at all. Overall, it seemed like these changes exclusively benefitted me so I was fairly happy with them.

"Great, well, it should be about time for you to get going. Have fun… Oh, and just a bit of forewarning, your first few years as a baby are going to be boring as all hell." As Hex clapped his hands a screen with a countdown appeared.

(Line Break)

I opened my eyes and found myself staring into the shocked red and black orbs of Salem. "Fuck." I ran my hand through my hair and glanced down to idly note I was wearing the same all black outfit as Hex had been earlier. Looking back up at the surprised Grimm queen I had a moment of genius and instantly came up with a plan.

Taking the first step of my plan I gave the Grimm woman an idle wave. "Hello, Salem. Please give me a moment, this didn't quite go as I expected and I need a moment to collect myself."

Salem relaxed slightly as she glared down at me from her dark stone throne. "And who exactly are you?" Her voice was exactly the same as in the show, and for a moment I was deeply tempted to tell her to call me Chief just for the nostalgia.

Taking a quick glance around me I saw that I was in what looked like some sort of main hall mixed with a meeting room, the room was large with a stone table taking up space in the exact center of the room. There were also large glassless windows that showed a view of the Grimm lands. Walking casually to the table before leaning against its end and once more facing the queen of the Grimm I offered a kind and knowing smile.

"I'm a dead man walking. That said, I do have a couple months before my magic kills me, and I'd deeply appreciate you not cutting that time short or forcing me to waste some of my limited magic in an ultimately pointless fight with an immortal." I cocked my head slightly and gave a friendly chuckle. "Though, if it was my name you were looking for, that would be Hex."

Salem simply studied me for a few moments before cupping her chin and humming to herself. "Interesting, you are not Ozma as his Latest incarnation is still the headmaster of Beacon, yet you are male and have magic. A rather impressive amount of magic, even by the standards of the old days." Salem suddenly stood and glided towards me with that graceful walk of hers with an intrigued look on her face. As she stopped in front of me she looked me up and down again before she wore a subtle smile. "Hex, was it? I must admit Hex, I find your very existence a mystery. Then there was the manner of how you simply appeared in my domain with no forewarning whatsoever."

I rubbed the back of my head and offered a sheepish smile at that remark. "Yeah, sorry about that. I wasn't able to control where I appeared, still I could imagine worse places I could have ended up than in front of a beautiful woman like you."

Salem covered her mouth with a hand as she gave a small laugh and her expression became more playful. "How charming of you, but I'm not the sort of woman that can be swayed simply by the words of a mysterious and charming man."

I simply nodded at that, I knew what sort of woman Salem was. "I understand that, perhaps better than most Lady Salem." Salem was a monster, but she was a monster that I understood. She was a grieving and tired immortal who had grown cold and cruel over the many years. She simply wanted to die and inflict as much pain on her ex before that death. "Well, since I'm here I have a few things I should tell you."

"Oh?" Salem's playful demeanor died and what took its place was a disturbing level of stillness. I doubt she was even breathing as she stared at me with a carefully blank expression.

Pinching the bridge of my nose I let out a soft sigh. "There's no easy way to say this, so I'll just come right out with it. The brother gods are both dead. They died a long while ago actually." I watched as Salem's perfect mask of blank stillness cracked, her left eye twitched and lips momentarily pulled into a near snarl, but after that brief flash of emotion the blank mask returned.

"And how, exactly, would you know of this?" The tone she spoke with was both cold and threatening in the extreme, but I didn't let that sway me at all.

"I was sent to this world by another entity, one far above the brother gods, and it was that entity that told me of their fate. I was sent to Remnant simply to inform you and Ozma of the fate of your past gods, and to assure you that the function of the relics would not change. Oh, and I was told to tell you that your war with Ozma would end soon, and the twin roses would decide the victor. Whatever that means." I kept my face utterly neutral as I spoke twisted truths. I knew that this eternal battle Salem was having with good old Ozpin would end one way or another at my or Ruby's hands, and thus my little prophecy was technically accurate.

Salem's expression didn't change, but I could tell that she took the news I'd given her at least somewhat seriously. "There is only one rose, Ozma's silver eyed warrior."

I simply shrugged. "Fairly soon Summer Rose will be impregnated. You'll have proof that I'm speaking the truth when she gives birth to twins. Once that happens you may want to pick up the pace of your plans." I reached for my magic and felt it roaring just beneath my skin, and as I began to pull at it, I offered the Grimm Queen on last smile. "Because I sympathize with your circumstances, I'll offer you a last little bit of information. If you wish to succeed in your goal you will need a poisonous madman, a prideful inventor, a righteous man turned vengeful, and a maiden whose desire for power burns unchecked like wildfire. You'll have fifteen years to find these individuals and prepare. Your maiden will need minions of her own, and will need the power of Fall to aid you in achieving what you desire. In the pursuit of this power your maiden will infiltrate the innermost sanctum of your opponent and there she will encounter the twin roses."

I focused my mind on the one I was hoping to pay a little visit to next as I simply offered a mysterious smile to Salem. "One rose will be a smaller and more honest soul. The other rose will be a more dark and twisted soul. Neither will abandon the other, so whoever wins over one will win over the other. If you wish to succeed then neither should know of you until the festival of peace during their first year at Beacon."

Salem didn't say anything, but I thought I saw a spark of consideration in her eyes. "And with that I have given you far more than I should have. Goodbye and good luck, Lady Salem."

With a graceful full bow to the Grimm woman, I commanded my magic to take me to my selected target, and like a dutiful servant it promptly obeyed.

(Line Break)

Cinder wasn't much to look at right now, in fact the future sexy villainess who had orchestrated Beacon's fall looked incredibly pathetic at the moment. I had been at the hotel for almost a week now and I've seen that Cinder hadn't been forced to wear the shock collar yet.

I watched as the future ruthless villainess scrubbed the floor of the Glass Unicorn's dining area and wondered if I shouldn't just take her from this place myself instead of waiting a decade for her to snap on her own. Ultimately, I cast that thought aside, I wasn't a good person by nature and there wasn't enough benefit in that action to balance out the cost of my derailing canon so much. While I certainly could gain Cinder's loyalty and affection by saving her from this place, I could also gain those things fifteen years from now with the way I've set things up.

"Still, perhaps planting a seed and letting it grow would be a good way to hedge my bets…" I took a sip of my hot coco as I turned my current idea around in my head. A bit of magic and I'd be able to fuck with Cinder's dreams for a good decade or so, and if she dreamed of a white cloaked prince who could care for a monster like her and offered a path to greater power? Well, I'm sure she'd want to get closer to a certain young huntsman who seems to be exactly what those dreams promised when she encounters him.

With a wave of my hand and a pull from my magic I ensured that Cinder would have interesting dreams for the next decade and a half. They would start off innocent enough, a white cloaked boy who would offer comfort to her in her dreams. He'd never offer to take her away, merely offer her his unwavering support. As she grew older and became both more bitter and jaded the comfort and advice her dream companion would offer would change. The cloaked boy would begin to support her ambitious, her hunger for power, her more violent and cruel tendencies would be nurtured by him as well.

With that task done I went back to drinking my coco and contemplating my next moves. I had a rough outline of a plan currently. I would implant fantasies of a white cloaked prince in little Wiess' mind just like I had with Cinder, but the nature of her dreams would be much more innocent. I'd also probably gift Sienna Khan with a special bit of magic. Something that will only activate once she is on the verge of actual death, the magic will have to make a copy of her current body while simultaneously healing and teleporting her. I think I'll enjoy breaking the proud tiger, and showing her how her beloved white fang changes after someone else takes over will be a lovely tool in breaking down her mind.

Then there was my future family and the Ozluminati, I'd probably need to approach Ozpin in a similar manner as I did Salem. I'll also fix up Qrow's semblance since he has just had a shitty hand dealt to him by life. Actually now that I think about it I'll probably beef up or add semblances to quite a few people just because. Oh, and I'll need to change my family's views on incest with a bit of mind fuckery, because Ruby and Yang were definitely ending up in my harem.

I'm also going to magically enhance or create a family pet or two. Zwei was cute and all, but I wanted something a bit more impressive. I'm thinking a golden retriever puppy with silver fur and blue eyes, one that will be able to change from puppy form into a full grown fairly large dog and let's throw in a human form too because why not? Also, human level intelligence and aura were a necessity. That would be a great pet, and it beat Zwei in pretty much every way.

Raven. I'd need to do something about Raven because she was too hot to keep out of the harem and she was strong as fuck. I'd probably have to do some mind fuckery, then I'll give her an extra semblance. Something like aura draining, because that would make her absolutely terrifying.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about adding semblances to people, why not give Cinder an extra one? I glanced over at the young girl, who couldn't have been older than maybe four, scrubbing at the floor with all her strength.

"Now what would be a good complimentary super power for you, my dear…" I quietly whispered as my mind spun. I cast aside anything that had to due with mindfuckery, and left anything flashy out of my considerations. My mind suddenly offered up the image of how fucked up Cinder got at the end of Volume three and I found my answer.

With another pull on my magic and a wave of my hand I gifted Cinder with a new semblance. She now had the ability to convert her aura into healing energy that could be used either on herself or anyone she touched, and with time and mastery her semblance could perfectly restore a person to full health. She'd have a much easier time recruiting Mercury now that she could offer him his legs back.

I almost snickered at the thought of Cinder, cruel and vicious Cinder as the designated healer of her group.

"But damn did that take a lot out of me…" I had maybe a dozen or so more semblance gifts in me in terms of my remaining magic, and that was with me factoring in my need to teleport to specific people with my magic. So I'd likely be able to handle twenty more if I stopped teleporting, but I just couldn't do that so instead I'll need to be careful with giving out semblances. "Let's see, I'm definitely helping out Qrow, and Raven should get something just because it would make her more badass and it would help balance out me super charging Qrow and possibly Goodwitch…" Cupping my chin I began to mentally list out everyone I felt deserved a second semblance.

Qrow, Goodwitch, Raven, probably Summer as well since she'll be my mom, screw Tai, fuck Ironwood as well, Winter could use an extra semblance I'm thinking a whit dove transformation just because. Every member of teams RWBY and JNPR. Hmm, that's what? Thirteen? Ok, that should be good for now. If I still have magic left after those thirteen then I'll start hitting up other people like Neo or Velvet.

Nodding my head, I settled the matter in my mind and finished the last of my coco. I think tomorrow I'll end up paying the Schnee manor a visit while I'm still in atlas.

(Line Break)

Everything was white. The floor, the ceiling, the walls, the carpet, even most of the decorations were white or contained white in them. It was almost blinding, and made the entire manor feel cold and empty. Shaking my head at the décor and whiteness of the manor I turned my attention back to what I'd accomplished tonight.

First off, I decided to give Wiess those romantic dreams of a dashing hero-prince in a white cloak, then I gave her a second semblance that allowed her to create dust from her aura. I figured that a power like that would be extremely useful for her as a Schnee and it would pair beautifully with her glyphs.

And just to fuck with Jackass, I gave Winter the same Second semblance, making it seem like it was just a new facet of the Schnee semblance that the sisters will discover. I still felt like it would be poetic to give Winter the ability to turn into a bird like Qrow, but then I remembered that I couldn't ship them together if I wanted Winter for myself. After that little revelation I gave Winter a Fetish about being part of a harem with her sisters, and also super charged her affection and lust for Wiess while also super charging her restraint and protective instincts towards her younger siblings.

To further fuck with Jacques, I also made it so that he could only father daughters, and I also ensured that after five years had passed he'd become impotent. He'd also develop a sudden and fatal brain aneurism in seventeen years, just as a safety measure.

I almost considered doing something with Willow, but ultimately, I decided to just strengthen her willpower, ambition, and gave her the same super charged lust for her daughters and restraint to hold back those desires as I gave Winter.

When the Schnee family woke up in the morning they would be subtly different than when they went to bed, but I doubt any of them would notice. Winter was only eight and probably didn't have any real sexual desires, and Willow won't notice her attraction to her daughter until Winter hit puberty. Still, it'd be interesting to see how things would change in a few years time. Shame, I'd be stuck in patch growing up and would miss all the drama.

"I guess I should hit up Raven and the Tribe next…" Muttering that quietly to myself I imagined appearing wherever Raven Branwen was at that moment and pulled on my dwindling magic to make that imagining a reality.

(Line Break)

Raven was already the spring maiden. I wasn't sure why I was surprised, but I was. I stared at the woman sleeping nude on her bed of furs and blankets and contemplated what I was going to do.

Raven, for all her power and authority, was a coward. She ran from the things that she was afraid of if she could not cut them down, and that was a mentality that would need to change. In fact, a lot about how Raven viewed the world would have to change.

With a pull on my magic and a wave of my hand I rewrote some important parts of Raven Branwen's mind. Firstly, I increased her sociopathy to the point that it bordered heavily on full on psychopathy, with her only ever really emotionally connecting to and caring about family. Then I defined her family to be Yang, Summer and Qrow's future children, and to a lesser extent Summer and Qrow themselves. To Raven everyone else in remnant could be killed off by Grimm and she wouldn't so much as shed a tear or feel anything other than surprise at the sudden and unlikely end of humanity. I also ruthlessly destroyed any concept of incest being a taboo in her mind, in fact I pretty much got rid of the concept of taboos for her. Raven's once precious tribe was now nothing more to her than a tool, and she'd happily slaughter them all in cold blood if they ever proved to become more trouble than they were worth. I also destroyed her cowardice and replaced it with cold pragmatism.

Why did she abandon her sole child, the thing she loved most in the world? She knew that she'd be a horrible parent and that Summer, one of the handful of individuals she cared about, would be a better mother to Yang than she ever could be. Raven would watch over Yang, and later Summer and Qrow's children, but she wouldn't reveal herself unless absolutely necessary.

Why did she abandon her team and Ozpin's war with Salem? Because it was ultimately unwinnable as Ozpin was obsessed and Salem was immortal, she knew she could never convince Qrow or Summer to see that though, so she didn't try. She left, but remained in sporadic contact with both, even if she disguised her visits as something other than what they were.

With my work on Raven's mind done I moved on to giving her a second semblance and altering her current semblance some since I had inadvertently nerfed it by increasing Raven's sociopathy. I let her portal semblance work with either locations she knew well or with people she cared about, thus fixing the issue and making it more useful all at once. Then I gave her a semblance that would let her drain aura from something she or her weapon comes into contact with and add it to her own aura. I implanted the idea that she'd had this semblance all her life, but had kept it hidden as a trump card.

Nodding my head in satisfaction I resisted the urge to reach down and grope Raven's bare tits, they were just so full and beautifully perky, and decided to leave for Menagerie. With an idle wave of my hand, I made it so that Raven would retain her current youth for the next two decades, essentially just halting her aging before making the jump to Sienna Khan.

(Line Break)

The tigress was given her one-time magical death avoidance system, and I also enhanced her slight domination fetish a little while reinforcing the idea that no one was worthy of her. She would probably remain a virgin until she was teleported to the secret dungeon I'd be making under my future family's home in patch. Which reminded me to set up that home in patch with some magical upgrades.

While I was on the island, I also gave Blake and Kali a lesbian incest fetish alongside a human fetish, a silver eyes fetish, and a thing for blondes. I also decreased Kali's feelings for Ghira, I left the love there but nothing like what she once felt and it would only decrease as time went on until it became mere dying embers ten years from now. That should make it easy to sweep in and steal the sexy cat milf for my harem.

I also had a moment of brilliance, or perhaps stupidity depending on how this turned out, and upgraded Blakes semblance. Her shadow clones now operated on Naruto rules which meant they could act and think independently once created and wouldn't dissipate unless they ran out of aura and took a heavy hit. I also left in the knowledge and aura transfer from the clones whenever they dissipated. It wouldn't refund her aura any if the clone was popped in combat as its aura will have been worn down to nothing in order for that heavy hit to actually land, but if the clone dispelled itself on its own its aura would go back to Blake instantaneously which could be seriously useful. Because of how potentially game changing Blake's new shadow clones were, I limited her to a max of three clones at a time so that it wouldn't be too overpowered. Still Blake's new semblance was a massive improvement over the sad shadow clone semblance she would have had before.

I winced as I felt how little magic I had left, I was down to half of what I started with and I still had mind fuckery and semblances to deal with.

With a sigh I went to my next target for the night.

(Line Break)

Nora Valkyrie. I found her in an orphanage that was on the rundown side, and I wondered if she had been abandoned as a baby or had simply lost her parents at a very young age. Ultimately it didn't matter to me tonight, but it might be something to ask her once we were close in the future.

Nora was a simple girl, her creed was literally 'Be strong and hit stuff', so I'd keep her second semblance simple. She was now immune to and could at will generate electricity, a semblance that paired beautifully with her original semblance. As long as she didn't run out of aura she could continually increase her strength, she'd also potentially be able to throw lightning. No more risk of overcharging herself now either, that immunity gave her no upper limit to the amount of electricity she could handle.

I then overhauled her digestive system to make it easier on her later in her life, whether it was only finding one meal in a week or gorging herself several times a day for a year, nether would pose a problem for her now nor would her figure change much from what she would have in the show.

I also increased her obsessive and unwavering nature when it came to romance and made her bisexual with a desire for both a male and a female partner. She wouldn't accept advances from anyone unless one or both of her partner's approved, and since I knew who she would latch onto I could abuse that knowledge for my own gain.

Nodding my head at my good work I decided to move on to Ren now that I'd knocked out everything I had to do with Nora.

(Line Break)

Lie Ren was a cute toddler. I decided to make her bisexual with the same constraints as Nora, but I added a few subconscious preferences in a guy that needed to be met for her to even consider pursuing a relationship with them. First off, they needed to have a family, to help give her a place to belong. Secondly, they needed to be strong, a huntsmen who killed Grimm, and needed to have a viciously protective nature that would selfishly safeguard everything they held dear. Lastly, I gave her a serious fetish for silver eyes, like, to the point it would feature in her wet dreams throughout puberty and she might cream herself if she saw someone with silver eyes in real life.

For her second semblance I gave her the ability to make herself and any she was in contact with become invisible at will, because it seemed like a good thing to help her stay alive. It should also pair well with her emotion masking and sensing semblance.

With that done I decided to just finish out all of team JNPR tonight.

(Line Break)

Pyrrha was an interesting case. I gave her a desire for her romantic partner to be her equal, or at least have the potential for her to make them her equal, and also have that partner view her as a normal girl. Then I increased her obsessive tendencies to what I felt would be yandere levels, because why not? I also gave her a serious fetish for both silver eyes and blondes, made her bisexual, and had her desire at least two partners with one being male and the other being female. Then I made her desire to train and be the best huntress she could be almost equal to her romantic obsession.

For her second semblance I decided to give her the ability to create metal from her aura, and then I left her a gift of magic that would overcharge her polarity semblance when it awakened. That gift should make it both easier to use, stronger, and have it cost less aura.

With that I felt I was done with Pyrrha, but just to be safe I gave her a subconscious desire to attend Beacon and partner with the dorky blonde girl who didn't know her. I liked hedging my bets.

Well off to the Arcs.

(Line Break)

Just to be safe I made all the Arc women bisexual and gave them all a fetish for silver eyes. Then for Joan specifically I reinforced her already growing desire to be a hero and huntress. Then I reinforced her more cute and dorky side. Love for bunnies? Supercharged. Social awkwardness and low self-esteem weren't really present in a toddler, but I made sure that she would have both in spades alongside a love for corny pick up lines and pet names when she hit puberty.

Then I gave Joan the ability to generate aura at a prodigious rate and the second Semblance to be able to make solid aura projections. Coupled with her natural semblance of enhancing aura and semblances or reinforcing something with aura, her new monstrous aura generation and aura projections would make Joan a terrifying opponent for anyone. Practically an unstoppable aura juggernaut.

I figured that would give her some confidence, but it might take some time for her to discover her semblances let alone master them.

Finally done with the future team JNPR I decided that I needed to take a serious break for a while. Maybe plan out my approach to Ozpin. With a satisfied nod I teleported back to the Glass Unicorn.

(Line Break)

I spent a month in patch working on the minds and property of my future family. It was fairly magic intensive and I probably only had enough magic left for maybe half a dozen semblance gifts, but that was fine with me.

Firstly, my future home, it had become a massive villa. It had everything I could ever think of or want, and I had even added the secret dungeon beneath the house for my future slaves and Sienna. There were four pools, the outdoor pool at the center of the villa in the middle of the main gardens, the indoor Olympic heated swimming pool, the lazy river pool that tracked around the mini water park, and the main indoor pool that the water slides and diving boards led to. There were two separate private theatres, and one gaming cave that had what I was calling a two-hundred-inch super resolution TV that was hooked up to a scroll and every game system I could imagine. There were sixteen bedrooms with three master bedrooms outfitted with quintuple king-sized canopy beds. Two libraries, filled with all sorts of reading material from fiction to research studies. Four fully decked out and outfitted kitchens that would make a master chef weep with joy. And of five separate course training rooms, one even had an indoor obstacle course that would make camp half-blood proud.

I of course altered Tai, Raven, Qrow, Summer, and Yang's minds so that they felt like this had always been the Rose-Xiao Long-Branwen family home. I also did a bit more fiddling while I was in their heads.

Tai was now Asexual and didn't care about what Taboos his family committed or what laws they broke. He'd always be the supportive, caring, and helpful dad for his family even if they were monsters.

Qrow was left pretty much the same personality wise, but I did remove his romantic feelings for Summer. He'd view her as a best friend and sister. He'd also have sex with her because she wanted kids and didn't feel right asking Tai for that sort of favor, and he'd act as the caring and supportive Uncle for the kids, but he would never try to be a father. No, Qrow would be mostly the same womanizing druncle I knew from the show, but I did take away a lot of his self-hatred and depression. I left some, but the vast majority of what haunted the man was destroyed. I also improved his views on his twin sister a bit, made it so that he no longer hated her or resented her so strongly for leaving. I left a good bit of resentment and disappointment but tempered it with love and a bit of understanding.

Summer was given the desire to have kids, and ask Qrow to father them so that Ruby and I could be born, but I gave her a serious attachment to her family and a pretty strong incest and silver eyes fetish. Alongside her newfound bisexuality those two fetishes should build off each other, leading to something potentially amazing in a few years. I also halted her aging and gave her a desire to teach her children to be amazing huntresses and huntsmen.

I had considered giving Summer her second semblance and altering Qrow's own semblance during that month, but I decided that I would wait. I would go to Ozpin and let him know beforehand that I'd be empowering his chess pieces, that should buy me some favor with the man.

I did not have that restriction with Yang, and so I tricked out my future big sister with some serious upgrades. Firstly, I strengthened Yang's natural attachment to her family, her protective instincts and nature when it comes to family, and then gave her the incest and silver eye fetishes. Yang was already bisexual even if she didn't know it since she was all of maybe two years old, so I just strengthened what was naturally there. After that I gave Yang a perfect regeneration semblance that would allow her to channel her aura to restore her body to its peak condition and health. Then I buffed the hell out of her future damage absorption semblance and gave her greater control over the flames that semblance produced. I also made her fire and heat proof, while making her heavily resistant to cold. Now, Yang could heal from literally anything that didn't outright kill her, her strength would grow with every hit she tanked and that strength wouldn't diminish for a long while, her damage absorption actually softened the hits she tanked, and she could set herself on fire without any issue while simultaneously being able to control those flames enough to throw them or coat parts of her body in them.

I made the currently small twin-tailed blonde into a sheer powerhouse, it was almost frightening how powerful Yang could become. Then I increased her natural aura and aura regeneration to what Jaune's had been in canon, and that was just what it would be at the start when she first unlocked her aura. I remember laughing manically after I was done, staring down at the little girl who could potentially become the most dangerous huntress to ever live. That had been a good day.

Now I was simply chilling in the master bedroom I had essentially claimed as my own, the room I had already subconsciously prepped Summer and Tai to give to Yang, Ruby, and I when we were older and born respectively. I had time to kill, about a month before this body would die. I didn't want to approach Ozpin until the last week, that way I could play the whole died to help you card to maybe get a deathbed promise out of the man.

A part of me, a large part of me, was telling me to go find Neo and buff the shit out of her. Maybe even hook her up with Torchwick if they weren't already together. I was pretty sure I had the magic in me to make the jump to her location, empower her, come back, and then go to Ozpin later with three more semblance gifts in me. I might even be able to eek out four if I made the last semblance fairly unimpressive.

"Alright, I guess tomorrow I'll go find little Neo and super charge her. What was her semblance exactly anyway? Solid illusions, sure, but it seemed like she could also teleport in volume two of the show…" I laid back in my impossibly comfortable bed and contemplated the mystery that was Neo's exact semblance before drifting off into a nap.

(Line Break)

Neo was an assassin, and worked as a partner and enforcer for Roman Torchwick. She was also a personal favorite character of mine, and might be the entire RWBY fanbase's collective pick for best-girl. In short, she was dear to me before she was even confirmed to be real.

That's why when I found the ice cream themed girl curled in on herself silently sobbing in what would have looked like a typical family's living room if not for all the blood and the three bodies, I took action immediately. Sweeping the traumatized girl into a hug I carefully moved her to a bedroom, sat on the bed, and simply held her as she desperately clung to me and sobbed.

The fanbase had always debated if Neo was actually mute or not and if she was, why? Well, I now knew that she was naturally mute since she was probably only four and didn't seem to have a wound that could have taken her voice. Plus, I doubt that she'd be silent from trauma while she was still experiencing that trauma fresh and sobbing uncontrollably.

Petting her hair, I whispered comforting words and reassurances to the poor girl. Her aura had unlocked, and she probably had her semblance as well as her hair seemed to be shifting color then shattering like fragile glass and returning to its original brown and pink with bits of cream coloration when I ran my hand through it only for the process to repeat. Eventually Neo quieted down a little and stared up at me, and as I looked into her eyes, I saw the despair that had carved its way into her.

I also saw a sort of desperate determination and anger. There was no remorse to be found there, even if the dried blood on Neo's little hands showed that she had probably already avenged her family's death.

"I know you can't talk, so please just nod yes or no to my questions." I watched as Neo gave me a shaky nod. "Ok. If I said I could give you the power to never have someone take from you again, the strength to be the one who takes from others, would you want it?" Neo stared at me for a long moment, and in her eyes I saw a war of emotions. She was sad, desperate, lost, confused, frightened, angry, and ever so slightly numb. Then I saw something new enter her eyes, a cold sort of determination, a cold ruthlessness, and I knew at that moment Neo had taken her first step in becoming a monster. She nodded at me, slowly and deliberately.

"Alright. You already have your aura, and it seems like you've unlocked your semblance already as well. It seems like your semblance is solid illusions, do you understand?" Neo tilted her head and seemed to think on my words for a while, but she eventually nodded as her eyes swapped colors. "Ok. What I'm going to do is give you a second semblance." Neo's eyes widened at those words. "And the second semblance I'll be giving you is something that I think you'll appreciate. Let's call it Hammerspace, it's a special place where you can put lots of things and have them be kept safely away where no one else will ever be able to get to them except you." With those words I used my magic to give Neo a mini-inventory. I also beefed up her aura some, not a lot, but enough to be noticeable to the girl.

As Neo clung to me again and began to silently cry, I rubbed her back to comfort her. "It'll be up to you to figure out how to use your new semblance, but I'm sure a smart girl like you can do that in no time…"

For a while I simply stayed in the room with little Neo, comforting her as she grieved. Eventually the little girl took me to her room and laid down in her bed, but instead of sleeping she simply stared at me. "Do you want a story?" Little Neo nodded with watery eyes, and how could I refuse that. "Alright then. As long as you promise to remember this story…" Neo extended her hand with her pinkie sticking out, and I couldn't help but smile softly as I linked a finger with her and shook, sealing the pinkie promise.

"Well, this story is going to be a bit strange, but its all true so I hope you remember it. Fifteen years from now…"

(Line Break)

I stared down at a sleeping Neo and couldn't bring myself to implant anything into the mind of the traumatized sleeping girl.

"Shit…" I quietly mumbled the curse to myself careful not to wake Neo. "Well this changes things a bit. I need to drop Neo off with Torchwick. Might as well get that done now. With a sigh I stared down at the sleeping girl and made my decision.

With a wave of my hand and a small pull on my diminishing reserves of magic I created a small journal in Neo's signature color scheme. The first few pages were filled with the story I had told, a modified version of the first few volumes of RWBY with myself inserted into things. I also soul bound the journal to the girl, and made sure it would never run out of paper and only she could open it.

Then I started writing my goodbye to Neo in a letter. I left my name at the end as: the man who will be born as Hex Rose.

"Well, let's hope that the ice cream assassin actually listens to my warnings and doesn't fuck with canon too much." Tiredly rubbing my face, I put my hand on the bed and willed myself and the bed alongside its contents to appear before Roman Torchwick.

(Line Break)

Roman had been an asshole, but he'd agreed to take in Neo when I explained that she had two semblances and what those semblances did. After hearing that the former huntsmen turned up and coming crime boss had looked like he had just won the lottery.

Still, I knew Neo was in good hands. She had more talent than Roman, and she was too valuable an investment for Roman to mistreat in any way.

Collapsing back on my bed in my claimed bedroom I wondered if I might have done too much set up. I could have potentially derailed canon so much that my knowledge of the series was now useless.

Somehow, I couldn't bring myself to care too much, if things changed too much then I'd just life my life normally instead of obsessing over how things had changed. It seemed healthier to live that way anyway. So long as everyone ended up at Beacon like in the show, then I couldn't care all that much about the events that lead up to that or whether or not Beacon actually fell.

"Give things two weeks, then meet Ozpin…" I mumbled to myself as I rolled onto my side and fell into the blissful embrace of sleep.

(Line Break)

I ran into a problem that, in hindsight, I probably should have expected. Turns out creating life from nothing is hard, like literally impossible for me given how little magic I have left levels of hard. So, I had to improvise.

I looked down at the little golden retriever puppy I stole from a pet store in Vale, and the puppy looked up at me with that wide eyed playful innocence that all puppies had. I was still trying to think of a name for her. I was leaning toward either Ein as a nod to Zwei, or something cool like Shade or Sif.

"Ok, let's get started with you." I rubbed my hands together and started with the easy stuff first. I tricked out the puppy's coat of fur, making it water proof, silky soft, more resilient, removed shedding, and changed it from golden blonde to a white-silver color. Next up were the eyes which I improved the vision of, gave better night vision and thermal because why not, and changed them from a somewhat dull brown to a bright and shockingly vibrant icy blue. Then came a complete overhaul of the digestive system, making the puppy capable of eating pretty much anything in any amount. I also made its musculature and skeleton more dense and flexible, making the puppy into what could be the physically strongest dog in the world. Then there was its lifespan, something I set to infinite so the puppy wouldn't die unless it was deliberately killed.

"And that's the physical stuff done…" I winced as I considered how much magic that had taken. "I'll probably need to hitch a ride to Beacon instead of teleporting now…"

Next up was the mind, which I set to human levels of potential. It didn't increase the puppy's intelligence immediately, it was still young after all, but it did give her the potential to have a mind capable of human levels of sapience and intellect. As an added point I gave the puppy the ability to shape shift between its current puppy form, a fully grown form that would be four feet tall at the shoulder, and what I'm going to call its monster girl form which is essentially just a dog girl with sharper canines, claw like nails, and a tougher body.

"And now I might not be able to empower Glynda… Shit." I ran a hand up my face and through my hair in frustration. "Fuck it, maybe I can give her a shitty power, or just improve her telekinesis a bit. Ozpin will have to be happy with that, besides telekinesis is already a pretty broken power to have…"

As the puppy yipped, shook itself and scratched at its ears some, and then began to run around I let myself smile. I have created the ultimate low-maintenance companion. It wouldn't die before its masters unless something specifically killed it, it wouldn't need more than a small meal and a small bowl of water a week to function healthily, it would be easy to train since it was so smart, it could eat whatever was around and it didn't even have a need to produce waste anymore so there would be no unfortunate accidents, its fur was unbelievably soft and smooth, it wouldn't shed and it would be easy to clean, and it was tough as all hell even without having its aura unlocked. Little currently-unnamed-puppy was pretty much a super dog, and I was proud of my work on her.

"Now I just hand you off to Summer as a gift for her future kids, I can play it like I'm giving them a guardian and companion to aid them in their grand destiny. Shouldn't be too hard, Summer adores cute things and this pup is adorable to an extreme degree." I chuckled as the pup rolled around on its back and made happy yips and whimpers of joy. "You know what? Fuck it, your name is Ein. I wonder if Zwei will even still be in the picture with you around…"

I reached down and rubbed the happy little puppy's belly. Today was a good day.

(Line Break)

I carried an excited Ein in my arms as I approached the main door of the Rose villa, a name that Summer had apparently convinced both Tai and Qrow to accept. With a bit of hesitation I went over my plan again in my head before I pushed the doorbell. I held in a chuckle as the doorbell played Red Like Roses part one.

When the door opened, I was confronted with Tai Xiao Long. As the large blonde man looked me up and down with a guarded grin, I wondered how he would react to knowing that I'd essentially been living with him and his family for the past month and a half.

"Can I help you?" I simply nodded at his question and gave the man a carefully crafted look of serious concern.

"Yes. Can I come in? I urgently need to speak with you and your team." I watched as the man's expression shifted into a look of concern before settling into a mask of stern professionalism.

"Who are you?" Tai stood more fully in the doorway and crossed his arms as he stared me down.

"Tai Xiao Long, I do not have much time remaining. I need to speak with you, Summer Rose, and Qrow Branwen urgently about important matters that can not be easily be brought up out in the open. Then I will need one of you to escort me to Beacon so I may speak with Headmaster Ozpin." I watched as Tai's body language became more tensed and wondered if I would have to just mind fuck him into letting me in, I hoped I wouldn't have to since I was rationing my magic at this point.

"Tai, let him in." I blinked before glancing above Tai's shoulders to see Qrow leaning against the wall and staring at me with a mixture of curiosity and cold promise.

"Fine. But you try something with my family, and you'll be leaving here broken and in cuffs." Tai stepped aside and I walked past him with a nod. He ignored my nod and just waved at me to follow as he began walking towards what I knew was one of the sitting rooms.

As I walked past Qrow he gave me his own warning. "Tai was mistaken, if you try something you won't be leaving here at all. You'll be six feet in the ground out back…" Well, that was actually pretty intimidating. Qrow could be a scary motherfucker when he wanted to be.

I was led by Tai into the sitting room with Qrow following behind me, when Tai made a gesture for me to sit down in one of the arm chairs facing a large sofa I complied and began to pet the puppy in my arms as I was stared down by the two Elite Huntsman.

"So, what was so important that you couldn't go through official channels and make a request for team STRQ through the Hunters guild?" Qrow stared down at me with narrowed red eyes.

"Yeah, this is all pretty suspicious." Tai waved his arm out as if gesturing to all of me. "A man in all black comes to our home and needs to talk with us in private? And what's up with the dog?"

I let out a tired sigh and stopped petting Ein so I could lean my head back and pinch the bridge of my nose. This is where I would need to sell them on my story.

"I would have preferred if Summer were here for this as well, but I suppose I'll need to gain some level of trust with you two before we can move forward." I caught the slight nod from Qrow and the way Tai's mouth twitched down into a flat line. "Fine then, whatever it takes. How much do either of you know about Salem?"

Qrow barely reacted, his right eye twitched slightly and that was it. Tai on the other hand flinched and sputtered something.

"How do you know that name?" Qrow growled out as his eyes narrowed in suspicion while his hand reached back for the handle of Harbinger.

I let out another sigh and resumed petting Ein since she was starting to fidget impatiently on my lap. "I know all about Ozpin and Salem, I know about the maidens and the relics as well. I actually know more about this whole situation than anyone else on Remnant, and that's why I'm here now. There is information that Ozpin and team STRQ needs, and I was sent to give you that information and as much aid as I can before I die."

"Die?" Tai asked confused.

I simply nodded. "I have limited time left, and what little of my magic that remains will disappear soon. I have days before my magic runs dry, and perhaps a week before my body fails me. That is why it is so urgent that I speak to you all, and that you take me to Ozpin as soon as possible."

"And what exactly are you here to tell us?" I did not flinch when I heard that soft voice behind me, but I did turn my head to find Summer Rose aiming her sword-rifle at the back of my head. I hadn't even noticed she was in the room with us until she spoke.

Taking a breath, I continued onto my planed out talking points like I wasn't concerned about having a high-powered rifle aimed at me. "Many things. However, I must start with a simple apology for my sudden intrusion into your lives. I am deeply sorry for that, but it had to be done as there are some fundamental truths that your team and Ozpin must know."

"Apology accepted. Now talk." Qrow's voice had lost its growl, but it was clear he was still ready to spring into action at a single wrong move from me.

"Alright. Let me start by clearifying something. Salem is immortal, truly immortal. Cursed to live eternally by the god of light. She quite literally cannot die, she can be mortally wounded, but what would kill literally any other being on Remnant will only slow Salem down as her body restores itself to its perfect condition. It would take an act from a divine being to kill her, a literal god is needed for her to die." I watched as the eyes of Qrow and Tai widened, and I heard a startled gasp behind me from Summer.

"Wait, but if she can't die, then why does Oz even-" Tai started to question before I raised a single hand in a gesture for him to stop.

"Ozpin was given an impossible task by the god of light, but it is still a necessary task. His war is one of eternal attrition, and if he ever falters or fails then it is all of humanity that will pay the price. Every decision he makes in regards to Salem is made with that consideration in mind. He is merely doing whatever he can to keep Salem, her followers, and the Grimm at bay, generation after generation." I sighed again as I let my hand fall back to Ein's head and resumed petting the puppy.

"Damn." Qrow actually took a seat on the sofa and just shook his head as he processed what I just said.

"Ok, so… Salem is immortal. That's bad, like really bad, but why do we need to know that? Ozpin has apparently been handling things just fine for generations." Summer spoke with wavering confidence, and I could tell she was shaken by what I had said.

"Because if nothing is changed then Salem will win and wipe out humanity in twenty years." There was utter silence when I said that.

"Is that so? Then perhaps we really should meet." I recognized the voice and I turned back to see that Summer had been concealing a Scroll in her cloak. I could vaguely make out the side of Ozpins head from this angle, but I knew that voice and I knew he has probably been listening ever since I entered the room. Just like Summer has. "A Bullhead will be arriving soon to collect all of you and take you to Beacon, we can continue this conversation there."

"Alright." I sat back in my arm chair and closed my eyes as I let myself relax for the first time since I entered the manor.

Phase one of the Ozluminati plan was complete, now I just had to meet up with the wonderful wizard of Oz.

(Line Break)

The bullhead ride had been quiet. Qrow had kept his hands clenched in fists and stared at the wall above my head the entire time, and Tai had simply looked lost and hollowed out since he heard that Salem would wipe out all of humanity within the next couple decades. Summer was the most hopeful looking of my escorts, but even she was anxiously looking between me and her teammates.

When we touched down at Beacon Glynda Goodwitch was there to meet us.

"Team STRQ. I'm here to escort you and our guest to the headmaster's office. If you would follow me?" As the woman turned around and began to walk away, I moved to follow her while simultaneously gawking at the massive campus of Beacon.

The place was huge, and there were way more buildings than I had initially assumed. The show had led me to believe that the campus was much smaller than it really was. I was expecting the headmasters tower to overlook three or four buildings not the close to twenty some odd buildings I was seeing now.

"So, give it to me straight, are we fucked?" I wasn't expecting Qrow to walk up next to me, and I definitely wasn't expecting that question. Still I suppose the man deserved an answer to his question, especially since a quick glance showed me that Summer, Tai, and Glynda were all listening for my response.

"No. There is hope Mr. Branwen. That is why I was sent to Remnant, to encourage the sparks of hope that exist and aid those who serve as the defenders of Remnant." With that said I decided to shut up until we got to Ozpin's office, there was no way I was going to go over my story twice. I might contradict something I said before, and that would ruin any credibility I would have built with these people.

Qrow grunted at my cryptic answer, but I could tell that everyone felt slightly better from my words. At least they seemed to be less tense than before.

We entered the tower and all crammed into the elevator together. Four adult hunters, a magical man, and a magical puppy. It was a long and quiet elevator ride, about a minute and a half with no music, but we eventually reached the top floor. As the elevator doors opened and Glynda along with three fourths of team STRQ stepped out I got my first look at the clockwork themed office and the reincarnating wizard. They both looked exactly like what I'd seen in the show, though Ozpin's hair was a good bit darker than the silvery grey it had been in RWBY.

Stepping out into the office I saw that Ozpin was already seated at his desk with a mug of coffee staring at me with careful consideration. Glynda moved to stand at his side while Summer moved to sit on the far side of the desk with Tai standing beside her. Qrow had just found a wall and leaned against it, then fished out a flask from somewhere on his person and taking a long pull from it.

When I sat in the chair that had been placed in front of the desk, conveniently within view of everyone in the room while limiting my view of everyone except Ozpin and Glynda, I decided to give my greetings. "Hello Ozma. We have a lot to talk about."

Ozpin didn't even so much as flinch, but I could see Glynda and vaguely Summer out of the corner of my eye take on a confused expression at the name for a moment.

"It has been a long time since someone has called me that." Ozpin simply took a sip of his coffee before setting down his mug, steepling his fingers, and giving me a glare so strong it almost made me flinch. "Who are you?"

Taking a breath and petting my magic puppy for moral support I stared into the immortal wizard's cold hard eyes and began to spin my story. "I am a messenger. The brother gods of both light and darkness have died." I heard gasps echo out around the room and could make out a few muttered curses from Qrow, but Ozpin merely had a twitch of his left eye before tensing at my statement. "I was sent by the god that is now in charge of Remnant to attempt to clean up the mess that was left to him."

"Mess?" Ozpin asked with a carefully neutral tone and expression.

"The curses that were placed on you and Salem by the brother gods. The eternal war you have been fighting for the fate of humanity against a woman who simply cannot die and can command the Grimm. The relics that will call down divine judgement if they were ever brought together. This whole mess." I kept my voice calm and collected even as the gasps and mutters came from the people around me.

"Ah, yes. I suppose that could be considered something of a mess." Ozpin seemed to be maintaining his cool just as well if not better than I was.

"It is, especially since my patron inherited the mess from two selfish, and quite frankly, stupid gods. In trying to sort out this mess, my patron discovered that unless he directly intervened your war with Salem would be lost in twenty years' time and all of humanity would be wiped out in the decade that followed. This outcome is, frankly, just unacceptable, so it was decided that intervention was necessary. That was why I was created."

"Why you were created?" Glynda's tone carried curiosity. "That would imply that you are some sort of artificial being?"

I simply nodded. "I am a temporary being created by a god to serve a specific purpose before dying soon after. I suppose you could call me an angel of sorts."

I heard a laugh from Qrow as he mumbled something about angels and the apocalypse.

Ozpin frowned slightly before speaking again. "And how exactly are you going to stave of this predicted end of humanity? If you are merely a temporary existence, then how can you help?"

I smiled slightly at that, before leaning back in my seat and staring up with a content expression. "I have already done much to prevent the end of humanity Ozma, I have taken steps to ensure that humans and faunus will survive on Remnant. At worst I believe Salem will destroy only three of the four kingdoms due to my intervention, and that is enough to fulfil my duty. My patron would be satisfied with remnant simply having a single inhabited kingdom, but I find that my own desire is to save as many as can be saved."

I watched as Ozpin winced ever so slightly and Glynda covered her mouth in horror as her eyes widened in a near comical manner.

"That is why I am here, speaking with the greatest hunters of this time period and you yourself Ozma. You represent the greatest defense against Salem and her forces that exist at this time, but left as you are you will simply not be enough to do more than buy time for the next generation." I watched as Ozpin narrowed his eyes.

"The next generation? This time period? How much of our future do you know?" Ozpin stared at me with a hunger that would have terrified me if I didn't have a guaranteed second life already queued up and waiting for this body to kick the bucket.

"I know much, but can share very little with you." I watched in sadistic joy as sheer frustration crossed Ozpins features for a moment.

"Then please, share with us what you can." Ozpin said with forced patience.

"Very well, if I had not come to you then these are the events that would have unfolded. Summer Rose would birth twins fathered by Qrow Branwen, these twins will have some of the greatest potential as hunters and warriors as this world has ever seen. They will be named Hex and Ruby Rose." Summer gasped and Qrow sputtered when I said that. "Then while the Rose twins are still toddlers Summer Rose will accept a Grimm extermination mission that will result in her being assassinated by one of Salem's followers." That drew gasps from the rest of team STRQ, a horrified look from Glynda, and a frown from Ozpin. "Qrow will keep his distance from the twins for fear of his semblance harming them, as well as his judgement that he would serve to be a terrible father figure, thus leaving the role to Tai Xiao Long who will raise the Twins as Yang Xiao Long's younger siblings. This will create an unbreakable bond between the twins and Yang, as Tai's daughter takes it upon herself to serve as both an older sister and mother figure for the twins. This bond is essential, it is important that no matter what course of action you all decide to take that Yang Xiao Long and the Rose twins are raised together as siblings."

Ozpin just nodded before looking to Tai and Summer who gave shaky wide-eyed nods of their own.

"Very well. The Rose twins are the key to humanity's survival. This is why it was decided to give them a guardian." I leaned forward slightly as I held up the magical puppy. "This is Ein, she was created to serve as a companion and protector for the Rose twins. Please take her." I handed the puppy to Summer who leaned forward and shakily took the silver puppy from me. "You will find that she is incredibly low maintanence, and highly intelligent. I would suggest unlocking her aura when we are finished here."

"Okay." Summer gave me a shaky smile as she began to pet the puppy she was now holding. "I'll do that myself once I get home…"

I settled back in my seat and merely nodded at Summer's reassurance. "Good. Fifteen years from now is when things will begin to come to a head. Hex and Ruby Rose will be accepted into Beacon early, attending alongside their sister Yang Xiao Long. That year at beacon will see the formation of the two most important hunter teams that will ever come out of any of the schools. Team RRWBY will be composed of the Rose twins, Yang Xiao Long, Weiss Schnee, and Blake Belladonna. The team leader will be Ruby Rose. Their sister team will be team JNPR, a team composed of Joan Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie, and Lie Ren. The team leader will be Joan Arc." I watched as Glynda began taking notes on her scroll before gathering my thoughts. "I can not say much more, except that these teams are necessary to ensure the survival of humanity, and that their first year will be a very exciting time."

I leaned back and stared up at the clockwork ceiling. "Take heed of this Ozma, victory will not be found in strength. Strength will be useful to you, but it will never bring you the victory you seek." Letting myself look back down at Ozpin I said the most important words of this whole meeting. "Yet, it is strength that is the only thing I can reliably offer you."

I saw the old wizard's eyes widen in realization. "You're offering me strength?"

I just nodded before pointing to myself. "My task is complete, and my magic is fading away quickly. I will live for perhaps a week or two more. My death is imminent and unavoidable, but with what magic remains in me I can empower a few of the people within this room. Perhaps strengthen them enough to give them the power to carve out a better future."

After the gasps died down Ozpin tilted his head and just stared at me in contemplation. "I'm sure none of us would turn down greater strength, but what will this gift cost us?"

I gave the man the most humble and selfless smile I could make. "Without my magic my body will begin to fail at a faster rate. I'd greatly appreciate a comfortable bed I could rest in until my death."

"Fuck…" I heard both Tai and Qrow mutter simultaneously.

I saw a number of different emotions flash by in Ozpins eyes faster than I could identify them. "Thank you, truly. I'll arrange for a bed to be made in a private room here on Campus."

I simply smiled and nodded at that. Now it was time to see how far I could stretch my remaining magic. I needed to give Summer a cheat-death semblance, leave a little something for Ruby and maybe even myself inside of Summer, Trick out Qrow's Semblance so that it's actually beneficial, and if there's enough left over I'll give Glynda something.

"Alright. Firstly Qrow Branwen." The man Sputtered behind me and I heard what must be his flask hitting the floor. "Your semblance is more of a curse than the power of your soul it was meant to be. I will be changing that." I pulled on my magic as I used it to change Qrow's semblance. I made it so that he was no longer a bad luck charm, and instead was able to rob people of their luck at will and temporarily increase his own good luck with the luck he has stolen. "You will no longer radiate bad luck, instead your semblance is the ability to take all something's good luck leaving them with only bad luck. Their good luck will also temporarily be added to your own luck, giving you a boost. You will be able to control this power, and will have to specifically target something for it to activate." I also upped his natural aura just a bit, by about two or three percent just so that he could feel that there was a change of some sort.

"I… I can feel it, its different… Thank you. Thank you!" I suddenly found myself being side hugged by a very emotional and slightly drunk Qrow.

Looking at Summer I conveyed my plea for help via my eyes. She obviously picked up on that plea as she handed Ein to Tai and stepped forward to pull Qrow off of me. After a bit of hugging and celebration by team STRQ that Ozpin, Glynda, and I simply sat through with smiles we were finally able to get back to me empowering Ozpin's agents.

"Summer, I will be giving you a second semblance." I ignored the gasps from everyone in the room except Ozpin. "I'll be giving you the ability to make an avatar of yourself, an exact copy of you that you can either control directly or simply allow to act on its own independent will. Once the avatar dissipates itself or is destroyed all of its knowledge and experiences with be transferred over to you." Summer Lit up in excitement as I explained the second semblance I was giving her, and she even squeed in glee when I explained that the clone's experiences would transfer over to her. "This should allow you to avoid your death while also remaining an active Huntress, but be careful as your avatar will only have as much aura as you use to create it and it will recover aura much slower than you as it will be pulling aura from your own whenever it needs to recover." It was pretty easy to get my magic to create that semblance, it was essentially just a buffed up version of the shadow clones I gave Blake. The only key differences were that Summer would only be able to make one, the clone could pull aura from Summer to recover its own aura reserves, she could assume direct control over it, and it would be able to use her other semblance. Once again I gave her a bit more aura, so that just like with Qrow she would be able something change within her.

"Thank you! I'll be able to do so much with this! I could…" I merely smiled and nodded along with Summer's rambling as I left a bit of my magic inside her with a command for it to seek out Ruby and me once we were physically developed enough to handle the power and to give us a second, or third in my case, semblance. Ruby's second semblance would be the ability to manipulate wind filled with red petals, making her essentially a wind mage or air bender with style. I gave myself the ability to instantly teleport to anyone I was close to as well as any location I knew well or could see. I would disappear and reappear in a small whirlwind of white rose petals, because style and a consistent theme were important.

As Summer wrapped up her little rambling session, I turned to Glynda and Ozpin and tried not to wince at how little of my magic was left within me. "If we could, I would like to continue this in the bed you have offered me Ozma."

"What, why?" Summer stepped forward with a concerned expression with Qrow and Tai not far behind her. At that moment I realized I had inadvertently won over team STRQ.

"Yeah, listen… Wow, I just realized I don't know your name…" Tai started to reassure me before stopping and awkwardly scratching at the back of his head.

I gave what I hoped was a reassuring smile as I gave the only answer I could think of. "I was never given a name." Everyone in the room except for me winced at that statement. Even I thought it was sort of harsh, but it wasn't like I could tell them that my name was, or at least would be, Hex.

"Oh… Ok, well I'm going to call you Angel then. Why can't we continue this here, Angel?" Summer reached out and gave my shoulder a reassuring squeeze as she asked me that question gently.

I gave her a smile that I hoped was as selfless and caring as I imagined it to be. "That is simple Summer Rose. After I gift Glynda Goodwitch with greater power I will have exhausted my magic and will likely be bedridden and near death." That got the reaction I was expecting. Everyone stared at me in a mix of shock and horror as they processed my statement.

The first one that came to was of course Ozpin, and he quickly took control of the situation before it could devolve into something else. "Of course, we understand. Angel? If you would take the elevator to the floor seventy two there will be a guest quarters that you can make use of. Glynda will be down to join you soon."

I nodded to Ozpin as I walked towards the elevator while everyone else was still frozen in shock. Once I was in the elevator, I hit the button for floor seventy two, and kept my expression one of serene acceptance. I was in the endgame now, I might have to use whatever life force this temporary body has left in it to help bolster the pitiful remains of my mana, but that was fine with me.

This prologue was over anyway, I couldn't do anything else as the mysterious magic man. I was ready to become Hex Rose.

The elevator doors shut and it began moving down the five floors to what would be my death bed.

(Line Break)Back in Ozpin's Office(Line Break)

"What the fuck? No, seriously Oz, what the actual fuck?" Qrow was having trouble keeping a lid on his emotions at the moment. That nothing had broken or spontaneously blown up with how wildly his emotions were jumping all over the place was just further proof in his mind that Angel had done the impossible. His curse was lifted, he was free.

And the man who had given him this freedom was going to die, willingly die, just to help someone else.

"Yeah Oz, what was up with that? Why did you encourage the guy?" Tai wasn't as upset as Qrow, but he wasn't happy that the man, or angel, who had gone out of his way to help protect Tai's family was going to essentially kill himself.

"Ozpin, I'm fine with the way I am now. I don't need a second semblance, it's not necessary." Glynda was feeling a little sick. First there were all the revelations that the stranger had given them, revelations that her boss seemed to wholeheartedly believe, and now while she was still coming to terms that the world could potentially end in her life time that same stranger was offering to die just so she could grow stronger. It was all just too much too fast for her.

"Oz…" Summer felt horrible. Angel had saved her. She was apparently supposed to die, to leave her babies before they had even started to truly grow, it was a fate so horrible that even imagining it brought her nearly to tears. She knew that Angel had been telling to the truth, she had planned to ask Qrow to have sex with her sometime this month, she wanted to be a mother and the only males she trusted enough to help her begin that dream were the two on her team. Tai wasn't interested in sex at all, so she was going to ask Qrow. She also knew that if she had a daughter she would name her Ruby, a name she had picked years ago. Ruby Rose. And Hex seemed like a name that Qrow would suggest given his semblance. Well, what his Semblance was before. Yet another thing she owed Angel for.

Ozpin took a deep breath before looking at the four people standing in front of his desk. He would need to explain this delicately, they were all distraught and were letting their emotions cloud their thoughts. "There was nothing else I could have done." And didn't that just burn him deep inside his soul. Finally, finally after countless years and lives he received assistance from the gods, and it is nothing like what he had prayed for. The brother gods were dead. His blessing turned curse would be with him until Salem was dead, but Salem couldn't die, an act of the same gods that had given him his blessing. He was trapped, and worse yet he had to keep his ex-wife from killing literally everyone in the world, a war he would have to fight for all eternity. It wasn't fair, in fact it was outright cruel.

"Remember, Angel is a temporary existence. A being created simply to fulfil a single purpose, a purpose he had completed before even coming to us." A tool. Just like him, a tool that a god had thrown at a problem to fix it and had likely stopped thinking about once the tool was out of sight. Yes, he sympathized with Angel a great deal, and he admired the lengths that the man was going to in an effort to help him in his own impossible task.

"Even if he did not give Glynda a second semblance, he would still die within the month." And wasn't that just hard to swallow. Angel had given so much, essentially pulled his ass out of the metaphorical fire, but he could do nothing to thank the man except offer him his damn deathbed.

"Yeah, but maybe there is some way we could…" Qrow trailed off as he realized that there really was nothing he could say. He had no idea how to prevent a magical man made by a god from dying when his appointed time came. He was also pretty sure no one on Remnant had any idea how to do that either.

"It's not fair…" Summer hugged the puppy, Ain, to her chest tightly. Angel was going to die, there was nothing she could do about it. She had become a huntress to help people, to save them, and yet she couldn't do a thing to save Angel. It hurt to realize that harsh truth. Angel had traded his life for their own. Traded his life for the benefit of all of remnant. Traded his life so that she could be a mother to her children. Summer felt a tear fall down her cheek. She had pointed Bloom at the man, just this morning she had contemplated killing him. Sure, she hadn't known what he was doing then, but that sort of logic didn't make her feel any better.

Glynda knew that Ozpin was right, he was objectively correct in his assessment of the situation and his response was logical. She respected the man for that. She also hated him for forcing this choice on her. She could either head down to Angel and let the man give her a second semblance, or she could refuse and hope that Angel wouldn't make the offer to anyone else for a week. Either way Angel died, the only real difference was if she would be the direct cause of his death or not.

"No, it very much is not fair." Ozpin let his statement hang in the silent air. He knew what would happen, each of them were elite hunters and they understood that sometimes sacrifices had to be made for the greater good of the world. Sadly, that knowledge never made actually watching those sacrifices play out any easier for any of them.

"Fuck, I need a drink." Qrow turned away and started to walk towards the elevator. He couldn't be here, he couldn't just stand by the bedside of the man who granted him his greatest wish as that same man killed himself. He would drink to Angel, raise toast after toast to the man, then he would honor the man's memory by using his gift to keep Remnant and his family safe.

Glynda watched as Qrow walked towards the elevator, the rest of his team silently following behind him shortly after he started to walk away. Turning to Ozpin she asked the question that would decide whether or not she would go through with this insanity. "If I take the semblance Angel offered me, can I stay with him? Until the end?" No one that selfless deserved to die alone, and she would ensure that he wouldn't not while she could help it.

"Of course." Ozpin didn't even have to think for a moment before answering his right hand's question. A day or two without his vice headmistress wouldn't kill him, and paperwork was far preferable than watching a good man die.

Glynda had her answer then. She would accept this second semblance Angel was offering her, and then she would keep him company, until the end.

(Line Break)

Here's something I discovered. Burning your lifeforce for magic is painful as fuck. Still, Glynda handled it very professionally. She didn't comment on my screaming, bleeding, or vomiting at all. In fact, she was very tactful about the whole situation, and for that I hooked her up with the good shit.

Not only did I increase the power and precision of her telekinesis I also lowered the aura cost of the semblance. Then there was the second semblance I gave her, which was just a basic parameter increase because that's all I had magic for in the end. So long as she had aura she would be passively stronger, tougher, smarter, and age slower. She was happy with it, very grateful, and if I was reading her right, she also had a considerable amount of guilt.

She also hung with me for the entire day. We talked about all sorts of random stuff, and I found out that she actually had a fantasy about hooking up with a student. I couldn't remember how that topic came up, but I'd make sure to remember that for later on in my life as Hex Rose.

I had her promise me to look after teams RRWBY and JNPR for me, and to be especially careful with Joan as she might not have aura when she took the initiation. Glynda had been a bit unnerved about sending an auraless student into the infamous Beacon initiation, but in the end she promised me she would look after the teams and keep an eye on Joan just in case.

Eventually Glynda fell asleep. I couldn't blame her, she was only human even with her new semblance, and I didn't actually need to sleep nor would I to keep up my image as an angel.

Looking down at Glynda that was sleeping at my bedside I couldn't help but smile even as I felt myself begin to fade away. She really was a beautiful woman, not quite rocking that mature teacher look yet, but the young and enthusiastic teacher thing she had going on now wasn't bad either. She'd be entering my harem one way or another.

Still, it was probably time to wake her up. It would help cement my story if she saw me literally fade away into nothing right before her eyes. It might also feed into her guilt, something I could use for a sort of dying wish.

Softly nudging her shoulder, I began to channel my selfless angel persona. "Glynda Goodwitch. Glynda Goodwitch, it is my time." Glynda woke with a start, but once she saw me I watched as recognition shifted into horrible realization in her eyes.

"You… You're disappearing." Her voice trembled slightly as she said that.

I simply gave her a small smile. "Yes, this is how those such as I die. We simply fade away into nothingness. Cease to exist."

"That's… That's horrible…" I could see her eyes begin to water but she fought back her tears and reached for my hand, sadly her hand went right through mine. Her eyes widened in shock and her next words were practically a whisper. "I can't even touch you…"

I just shrugged. "it is what it is. I have seconds left…" Looking up with an expression of peaceful contemplation I decided to swing for the bleachers. "Could I ask a few final favors of you Glynda Goodwitch?"

"Yes. What is it Angel?" Glynda softly responded while clenching her hands tightly in her lap.

"Do not blame yourself for my death. It was inevitable, and nothing could have prevented it. I am happy with the month I was given, and I am the one who chose how I would die. I could ask for nothing more for my existence, and you should not carry any false blame for my end." I watched as Glynda was openly crying now, and I couldn't help but be amazed that I had gotten this woman to care about me so much in such a short amount of time that she would cry at my 'death'.

"I… I'll try…" Glynda managed to get out between her tears and hiccups.

"Then my final favor…" I couldn't feel anything anymore, it was like I was back in the void again. "Take care of the Rose twins. Ruby will be a small and honest soul, an innocent soul. Hex will be a darker soul, more jaded and twisted, but by no means evil. Their destiny is so heavy, their fate so harsh. They both will need guidance, help them. They will need love, care for them. They will need fun and recreation to ease the burden of their future, please allow them to be children…" I couldn't see anything anymore.

"Of… Of course." Glynda's voice sounded so far away to me.

"Goodbye, Glynda Goodwitch. I believe… I will… Miss Remnant…" I felt myself begin falling, falling endlessly.

Falling eternally.

(Line Break)With Glynda(Line Break)

Angel was gone. He had just vanished slowly right before her eyes. Glynda wasn't sure if there was even any sort of afterlife for him, he said that those like him just faded. Ceased to be.

that was horrible.

"I'll look after them. Don't worry. I'll look after them." The words came out as sobs more than anything, but it didn't matter. Glynda carved the names into her heart, her very soul. Hex and Ruby Rose, the twins that would carry such a heavy burden. Yang Xiao Long. Blake Belladonna. Wiess Schnee. Joan Arc. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. Lie Ren. Those nine names would be etched into her very being.

"I promise…" Glynda felt horrible. It was like she had lost a trusted friend, even if she hadn't known Angel for longer than thirty six hours. "I promise…"

(Line Break)With Summer(Line Break)

It had been weeks since Angel had died. It had almost physically hurt Summer when Glynda had told them that Angel had revealed at the end that he had only lived for a month. No one had taken the news well, but all of those who had known Angel had agreed to move on in his memory. Angel had given up everything for them, for Remnant, it would be a discourtesy to not make use of the chance he had given them.

And so, Summer had.

As she stared down at the pregnancy test, she watched as the plus she had been waiting twenty minutes for appeared. Once she saw it Summer was flooded with all sorts of emotions. Elation, anxiety, joy, fear, hope, and contentment just to name a few.

Rubbing her abdomen, she couldn't tell anything was different from before, but she was apparently pregnant now. "H-hello Hex, Ruby. I can't wait to meet you…"

AN:

So yeah, that's the prologue done. Man, this was a long chapter. Haven't written a single chapter this lengthy in a long while. Oh, and Sorry for those who saw the unreadable mess that was my first attempt to post this chapter, I wasn't familiar with posting on FF so it came out… let's just say poorly. Thanks to WaterFlames3 for pointing that out before I completely embarrassed myself…

Anyway, I'm horrible with schedules and whatnot, so updates will be sporadic and random. Sometimes you'll see lots of chapters in a cluster, other times there will be months long dry spells or hiatuses. Chapters will come out when they are done, and that's that. Fair warning: It will probably be a while before I put out chapter 1.

Feel free to leave a review or something, I'll probably read them all since I'm an attention whore.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter.
