Hello, everyone. This is the original story I was planning to write before I gave up completely. This will update more frequently than my other stories, but I might have to rewrite a few parts. Please enjoy. AAAAnd don't forget to review and everything.

The days flew by and soon it was Friday. The Keeper tryouts.

"I wish I could go with you." said Harry.

"It's okay. Good luck with Umbridge." said Hiccup patting him on the back. Harry had told Hiccup about Umbridge's detention to him and Hiccup and been treating his hand since.

"Thanks…" said Harry.

Hiccup walked out of the castle. He got his bag and walked to the Quidditch patch. He saw a couple of students already there.

"Hey Angelina." said Hiccup.

"You came! Good. Now let's get started." said Angelina. Then Hiccup saw Ron.

"You're trying out too?" said Hiccup, nudging him.

"Yeah, don't laugh!" said Ron.

"I'm not laughing." said Hiccup.

Soon it was Hiccup's turn, but he wasn't worried of not being able to be in the team.

"Okay Toothless," said Hiccup, into the bag, "time to come out!"

[Freedom!] cried Toothless as he jumped out.

The tryout members and Angelina stared at the dragon.

"Okay, so I'll start." said Hiccup, mounting Toothless.

"S...sure." said Angelina.

Hiccup soared into the air.

"Wow…" said everyone.

Harry was watching from Umbridge's office and noticed a player on a black creature. That's Hiccup.

Hiccup was able to block out most of the ball. Toothless was enjoying this and Hiccup thought that being in the team would be good for Toothless.

"Hey!" called the Chaser, Alicia. "Get the ball would ya?"

"On it!" said Hiccup, grabbing the ball and passing it to her.

Alicia missed and the ball and Hiccup grabbed it again flying toward her with incredible speed.

Angelina eyed Hiccup. 'Yes, He would make a nice Quidditch player.'

"You should be careful." said Hiccup.

"Thanks." said Alicia, grabbing the ball Hiccup passed to her again.

The tryouts continued.

Hiccup had lost one ball and Ron had lost one too.

"You should be Keeper." said Hiccup, getting down from his dragon.

"No, you should." mummbered Ron.

"Nah, I think I'll rather be a Chaser than a Keeper. Toothless needs the exercise."

"Thanks…" said Ron.

"I'll try again next year." said Hiccup.

They told Angelina their decision. When Hiccup said he won't do it Angelina looked upset.

"Don't worry Angelina. I'm going to try for the team again next year."

She brighted again.

The next day Hiccup awoke early. He went downstairs and opened his bag.

"Okay Toothless I'm going down!"

[Quickly! Quickly!]

Hiccup climbed down to his 'bag'. Inside was now filled with Hiccup's magical friends. There were various environments. Woods, lakes and a small hut for Hiccup. Shard was living in the desert part of the bag and making it rain every day. He also had Marmite, Mooncalf, Diricawl, Augurey, Chizpurfle, Fairy, Grindylow, Porlock, Puffskein, Thestral, Golden Snidget and Occamy.

"Did you all miss me?" asked Hiccup, petting Toothless.

[What took you so long?] asked Skewt.

"You know. School, it's O.W.L.s. year." said Hiccup. "Let's visit Shard shall we?"

Harry woke and found Hiccup's bed empty. He went down and found Hiccup's bag on the table.

"He's inside his bag…" said Hiccup. "I wonder if I can take a peak..."

He got the bag and opened it. Then without warning tentacles pulled him in.

Hiccup was talking with his closest friends - Toothless, Shard, Skewt, Dew and the Nifflers - when he heard noises.

"What's going on?" asked Hiccup, rushing forward.

[Marmite let someone in!] cried a Demiguise.

[It wasn't my fault! I thought it was Hiccup!]

[Hiccup's already here, stupid!]

"Guys, stop fighting." said Hiccup and he walked toward the entrance of the bag.

"Hiccup?"

"Harry!" said Hiccup, helping his friends up. "What brings you here?"

"Well I was looking inside your bag when the Marmite dragged me in."

"Sorry about that." said Hiccup, scratching his head.

"It's fine," said Harry, admiring the view. "This place is awesome."

"I know! I'll give you a tour!" said Hiccup, grabbing some food.

Hiccup showed Harry every creature he was keeping in his bag. Harry was fascinated. Hiccup fed all the animals and Harry helped him. When Harry saw the winged horses he asked Hiccup what they were.

"Thestrals, they're not dangerous. They can only be seen by people who've seen death." said Hiccup, gently petting the horse.

"You can see them too?" asked Harry doing the same.

"I can't. I've seen my mother being taken away by a dragon, but I guess that doesn't count."

"How are you keeping them?" asked Harry.

"I can sense them," said Hiccup. "Their breathing, their movements, their talking helps me find out where they are."

Harry stayed quiet as Hiccup mounted a Thestral and soared into the sky (If you can call it a 'sky'.).

Thestral and Hiccup landed on the ground.

"Want to go back to the tower now?" asked Hiccup, walking off to his hut.

"Yeah…" said Harry, feeling less trouble than before.

They stepped out of the 'bag'. Hiccup went to the library and Harry set out to the Owlery.

Hiccup went down to the Great Hall for breakfast. He was late so there were only a few students. He ate quickly and went outside for fresh air. He was walking down the Quidditch field when he saw two players.

"Harry! Ron!" called Hiccup running over to them.

"Hiccup!" said Ron and the two of them flew down.

"Practicing?"

"Yep." said Ron. "Care to join us?"

"Sure, I call for Chaser!" said Hiccup.

The three boys played Quidditch together. Toothless, being a dragon, was not allowed to shoot or attack anyone.

Harry saw that Hiccup was good. He had skills and the speed of the Night Fury doubled it. Soon Harry and Ron had their team practices. Hiccup was still in the air hands on the ball. The Quidditch team had arrived but he didn't notice. He flew toward the other end of the field and threw the ball and scored it. Toothless cheered.

[We did it again! We did it again!]

In the middle of their victory they heard clapping.

"Nice work!" called Angelina from below. Hiccup flew to the ground.

"You should be a Chaser one day." said Alicia.

"Thanks…" said Hiccup. blushing. He ran back to the school with Toothless beside him.

"There you are!" called Hermione as Hiccup stepped in the Gryffindor common room. "Where were you?"

"I was playing Quidditch with Harry and Ron." said Hiccup sitting down next to her.

"You too?!" said Hermione, frowning.

"What? It's fun and it's good for Toothless." said Hiccup getting out his homework. "At least I do my homeworks on time. I only have one left."

"I know, I know." said Hermione.

"I could use your help." said Hiccup, playfully.

"As if!" said Hermione, laughing.

Hermione was knitting some hats and Hiccup was writing down his essay from Professor Sprout. Hiccup finished, Hermione told Hiccup all the adventures Harry, Ron and herself had been through in the past.

"You're telling me," said Hiccup, interrupting Hermione. "Harry killed a basilisk with the sword of Gryffindor in the Chamber Of Secrets at the age 12?"

"Yeah!" said Hermione, nodding. "Fawkes helped him, too."

"Cool! Can I visit there?"

"I don't think so, Hiccup."

"Please? The basilisk is dead after all." said Hiccup, pleadingly.

"Fine, but we have to wait for Harry to come." said Hermione giving in.

"Thank you Hemrione." said Hiccup, beaming.

"You want to go into the Chamber Of Secrets?" asked Harry.

"Yeah!" said Hiccup.

Hermione stood up. "I'll lead the way."

While they walked Hiccup whispered to Harry.

"How was practice?"

"It was…" started Harry.

"Completely lousy." said Ron.

"Lousy?" asked Hiccup.

"Yeah," said Ron.

When they reached the bathroom Hiccup opened the Chamber.

"Toothless…" called Hiccup. Toothless jumped out and Hiccup mounted. Harry, Hermione and Ron seated behind Hiccup.

"Nice and slow bud…" said Hiccup as they soared down.

They walked to the dead body of the basilisk. Hiccup examined it.

"It's a female…" said Hiccup. "The egg! Harry, how do you get inside the basilisk's living pace?"

"Well say the words 'Speak to me, Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts four.' in Parseltongue." said Harry.

"Can you do it?" asked Hiccup, Harry nodes and opened his mouth.

"Speak to me, Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts four." said Harry and the mouth of Slytherin opened.

Hiccup and Toothless slowly stepped inside. Toothless showed low fire. Hiccup looked around, he saw lots of blood. Some bones and a round object.

"There it is!" cried Hiccup, picking it up. He walked toward the entrance again. "I'm going out!"

The egg Harry saw was bigger than an average snake egg. It had spikes surrounding it and a giant yellow eye on the top.

"Is that the egg of the basilisk?" asked Ron.

"Yep," said Hiccup. "I think I'm going to put it in my bag for now."

Hiccup and the others flew out of the Chamber and back to Gryffindor tower.

When they got to the Gryffindor common room Hiccup climbed down the bag and got the egg.

"It looks like it's going to hatch in about two days." said Hiccup, examining the egg.

[Isn't it dangerous?] asked Toothless.

"Yeah so I kinda have to blind-fold him. Forever." said Hiccup, scratching his head.

[You're blinding him?]

"Sort of." said Hiccup, bitterly. "Not that I have a choice."

When Hiccup stepped out of the bag he saw Harry and Ron doing their homework.

"How's it going?" asked Hiccup, walking over.

"Not good." said Harry.

Hermione and Hiccup looked at each other.

"You help them!" whispered Hermione.

"No way, I helped them last time!" Hiccup whispered back.

"'Cause you lost you bet!"

"The bet was unfair! How should I know that Hagrid loves Madame Maxime?" asked Hiccup, remembering the bet Hermione and he had made during their Fourth year.

"Everyone knows! You just don't have common sense."

"Still, you should do it!" said Hiccup, pushing her toward Harry and Ron.

Hermione walked over to them and sat down. Hiccup laughed under his breath. Hermione scowled at him and Hiccup smiled and gave her a thumbs-up sign.

When it was dark and Hiccup was getting bored of watching the three talking he saw an owl by the window.

[Let me in! Let me in!]

"Okay, gees. Such temper." muttered Hiccup opening the window. The owl flew in.

[Finally! Warm air!]

The owl flew straight to Ron. Hiccup walked over. Ron opened the letter and all four of them read the letter from Percy.

"He's mad!" said Hiccup, after finishing reading the letter.

"Okay Ron 'sever ties' with us we swear we won't go violent." said Harry, sarcastically.

Hiccup was also mentioned in the letter as a violent-short-tempered-runt-viking.

"Yeah Ron, don't worry. I won't use my dangerous 'beasts' on you." said Hiccup, his old sarcastic habit coming back.

"He is -" said Ron, tearing the letter in half. "the world's -" he tore it into quarters - "biggest"- he tore it into eighths - "git." and the fire gulped down the letter Ron threw in.

Ron and Harry started homework again. Hermione looked at Hiccup. Hiccup looked at Hermione.

"Come on, give us your work," said Hiccup, getting Harry's work.

"Give it," said Hermione. "We'll look through and correct them."

Hiccup and Hermione grabbed each of the boys' work. Hiccup got Harry's and Hermione got Ron's.

"You're a lifesaver Hermione."

"Just promise you guys will never leave your homework this late again," said Hermione, Hiccup laughed, good old sly Hermione.

"Thank a million guys." said Harry, weakly.

Hiccup looked up from reading Harry's homework. Harry had a tiring week. He should get some rest.

"Harry, you should get some rest. I'll edit it, don't worry." said Hiccup, pulling Harry to the Dorms.

"Thanks…" said Harry, yawning.

Hiccup watched Harry walk upstairs. Ron and Hermione looked at him. Hiccup looked at them.

"What?" asked Hiccup, flinging his arms in the air.

Ron and Hermione looked at each other.

"Why are you so caring for Harry so much?" asked Ron as Hiccup sat on his seat reading Harry's homework again.

"Well…" said Hiccup, not looking up. "People in the dark need someone to light up their world. In my case it was Toothless, for Harry it was Hogwart and you guys. Now he's having trouble in the place he loves. That's why I'm caring for him."

Ron looked impressed and Hermione looked touched. Hiccup smirked and continued reading.

"Huh, I thought Europa was covered in ice, not mice." said Hiccup, finishing reading. He changed some words here and there.

After he finished editing Harry's work he stared into the fire. He saw something among the burning woods.

"Is that…?" asked Hiccup moving toward the fire.

"Sirius's head?" said Hermione. "Sirius!"

Hiccup and Ron both gasped as Sirius's head appeared in the fire. He was grinning. Hiccup jumped up and ran to get Harry. Hiccup grabbed Harry's hand and pulled him downstairs.

"Sirius!" cried Harry as they reached the common room.

"Harry!" called Sirius.

The four of them talked about their days while Hiccup guarded the door. Hiccup had something to ask Sirius later. After his friends had departed from the firespace Hiccup called Sirius.

"Sirius!" said Hiccup as the head reappeared. "Tell me about Hagrid! I thought he'll be back soon. The mountains aren't that far away!"

"I know. Dumbledore wants no trouble. Just wait a little bit more. The whole Order is worried. Hagrid's fine." said Sirius, camly.

"Fine…" grumbled Hiccup and Sirius's head disappeared.
