Prologue :
This will be a series of stories told by Ash when he's retired. He travels the world making appearances in schools, shops, libraries, labs, wherever he can get a venue ! A lot of people come to listen to his stories (mostly kids).
The stories will be told in dialogue format.
Everytime I will pick a random pokémon from a randomizer I found online, and make a story about it. It will be all invented, maybe some parts will match the canon but it's not the purpose.

Grandpa Ash Stories – Krabby
Ash : Aloha to everyone ! So nice to be here in the beautiful region of Alola !
*crowd of kids cheers*
Kid 1 : Mr. Ash ! Mr. Ash ! Tell us a story !
Ash : Of course little one, that's why I'm here ! I hope my stories inspire you all to also try to become a Pokémon Master !
Kid 2 : I hope we'll do it in less time than it took you…
Ash : What was that ? My hearing aid wasn't turned to the max volume.
Kid 2 : NOTHING…
Ash : Ah, I know ! How about the story of when I met a super mean pokémon… one that could keep me up at night, from fear of it crawling after me !... It was terrifying when I met it ! Oh I shiver only at the thought…
Kid 3 : What is it ? A ghost-type pokémon ?!
Kid 2 : That's not scary !
Kid 1 : Oh maybe it's a Mimikyu, they scare the crap out of anyone when they lift their skirt !
Ash : Mimikyu's don't have skirts… and No, it's not a ghost pokémon. It's the terrifying, scary, powerful…. KRABBY !
*silence*
Kid 1 : Did you say… Krabby ?
Ash : YES ! THE KRABBY !
Kid 2 : You mean a big Kingler then… ?
Ash : No no no no no. Kinglers are kitty cats compared to KRABBYs ! They have a bad temper, and since they're so tiny, you never know when they can leap out at you. It's a constant anxiety of looking everywhere, especially at the beach !
Kid 3 : That sucks… Krabby's not scary at all !
Ash : Young man, I'll paint a scenario for you. 'Tis a warm day, so hot that you could fry an egg on your forehead ! Your mind goes to one thing only : being submerged in water ! As Pikachu was also suffering from the heat, you decide to go to Professor Oak's lab where he had opened up a lot of small pools for Pokémon to enjoy, and you let him stay there for the day. So then you grab your little beach towel and you go down to the beach to enjoy a bit as well! As you get there, you see you weren't the only one having that thought. LOADS OF PEOPLE EVERYWHERE ! You can barely see the sand under all the beach towels spread everywhere, people and pokémon for miles around ! You decide to look for a quieter spot to relax. You walk, and you walk, and you walk, and you walk, and you walk…
Kid 2 : We get it, you walked a lot.
Ash : Don't interrupt ! And you walk, and you walk…. UNTIL ! You find your oasis ! Behind some rock formations, away from the zone that is protected by the lifeguards but you think « no big deal, I'll be extra careful since I won't be able to call for help easily ». You lay down your towel, feeling victorious of your discovery, you know what Magellan felt like ! It's calm, nobody around, a little stretch of sea just for you !
Kid 1 : And why wasn't anyone there ? Isn't it weird ?
Ash : My boy, I admire your logic, but let me assure you, when it's hot like that day and you've walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and… What was I saying ? Ah yes ! Your mind will not waste time in those petty things. You found an oasis, and you don't question it.
Kid 3 : I know what's coming…
Ash : I don't think you do ! Because you lay down your beach towel, and you lay down yourself after removing your clothes and just keeping your beach shorts with pikachu motif. After a minute or two, the heat is unbearable and you decide to go for a swim ! So you get up, run towards the water and as you jump, you perform an Olympic style manouvre of throwing yourself head on into the water. Worthy of 10/10/10 from all judges ! You come up for air after that glorious jump, and clean the salty water from your eyes. You swim for a bit and then suddenly your foot gets caught on something. It seems like a little rock, so you try to get it free but it feels like the rock is pinching your ankle. It starts to hurt, and you try to shake your leg, but it seems that's only making the rock hold onto you tighter ! You can't call for help as you're away from the lifeguards and there isn't anyone around that could hear you ! Aaaah I can see your faces are changing now, right ?!
Kid 2 : Yeah… I'm impressed how you didn't have the strength to kick away a tiny Krabby…
Ash : Oh, are you not entertained ?! What if I told you that when you finally manage to gather balance to lift your leg up above the water, you don't have one…. But 10 KRABBYS HOLDING ONTO YOUR ANKLE !
Kid 2 : …
Ash : I thought so ! So there you are, with 10 Krabbys pinching your ankle and foot area, trying to push you under water, and you have to not only fight the current so you don't end up too far away in the ocean, but also these little stubborn creatures ! You start to panic, to think of a way to get out of this situation ! The only thing that comes to your mind is to try to scare them off in any way you can. How do you scare Krabbys in the ocean when you have a limited amount of things to use, and little to no mobility ?
Kid 3 : You scream at them ?
Ash : Yes ! Good idea ! You try to scream at them, but that seems to only make them angrier and they start to pinch their way up your leg.
Kid 4 : You slap them !
Ash : Good option. You slap them but they have those big claws that even a tiny Krabby has enough strength to snap one of your fingers if it gets ahold of it. So you make a fist and try punching them, praying they don't catch your hand !
Kid 1 : Swim for the shore ! Once you get there, it might be easier to get rid of them !
Ash : That is precisely what I, I mean, what you do ! Muster all the courage you can, and you swim to shore, once you get there you start rolling around in the sand trying to squish the Krabby out of your leg.
Kid 5 : Did that make them leave ?
Ash : Oh yes, they do end up releasing you. You go back to your beach towel and try to assess the damage on your ankle, seems a bit bruised but you can still walk, better to walk back to the lifeguard to get some first aid. But as you turn to walk back, you see that your path is blocked… by more than 100 Krabbys ! Apparently they just let you go the time to go and get their friends. And it seems the reason nobody comes to this side is because…
Kid 1 : It's Krabby territory… duh !
Ash : Well then they could have put up signs don't you think ?! Something saying DANGER, pinching creatures from hell over here ! Don't trespass or you'll feel the squeeze of death ! But Nooooo, no sign whatsoever, it's like they want people to come and get eaten by these spawns of satan so that they're appeased. I was the sacrifice !
Kid 2 : Wow. How did you get out alive then ?
Ash : I… That's maybe something I shouldn't tell you. It's rather embarassing…
Kid 3 : Whaaat ? You have to tell us now ! We've listened to all of this for nothing ?!
Ash : Not for nothing, it's pearls of wisdom I'm sharing with you all ! But ok if you insist, I'll tell you the trick I used to fend off the Krabbys…
*everyone leans in*
Ash : I…
*everyone leans in a bit more*
Ash : I…
*everyone is on the edge of the seat*
Ash : I … can't say…
Kid 2 : OH FOR THE LOVE OF ARCEUS, JUST SAY IT !
Ash : I PEED MYSELF !
*silence*
Ash : Ok I'm not proud of it, but I was so panicked and feared never seeing my friends and family and pokémon again, I peed myself ! And apparently Krabbys are not very fond of the smell of human urine, that made them run to the ocean in a split second !
Kid 1 : …
Kid 2 : …
Kid 3 : …
Kid 4 : …
Kid 5 : *picking a booger*
Ash : So that's my advice, if I had just actually peed in the ocean, they would have let go of me instantly. You know what to do now, thanks to me !
Kid 2 : Ew.
Kid 1 : None of that would have happened if you had taken Pikachu with you !
Ash : Yes, I wouldn't have been mauled to death by the Krabbys but I would have gotten shocked if Pikachu tried to Thunderbolt them in the ocean, as water carries electricity, and I could even risk hurting people further away. My pal's Thunderbolt packs a punch, I'll tell you ! Aaaand that's all the time I have today kids, I have to go shop for souvenirs. Thank you for having me, it was a pleasure !
Kid 2 : Can't believe I paid 2 bucks for this…
