*Marianne*
She wasn't the best mother, she knew that, she left her children on their own to fight against their father, but at that time she was so broken, she couldn't do anything else, her only other option was to kill herself and she couldn't do it. So, she ran away, leaving Jared and Seeley behind in the clutches of their shared monster. Thankfully their grandfather saved her kids, but the years of abuse didn't go by without notice. She knew how bad things were for Jared, Seeley told her that he followed his father's steps, that he lost his career, that he was drinking, he married a woman who used to be a prostitute, he couldn't hold onto any job. She felt guilty about that, but there was nothing she could do for him now, Jared refused to see her when she came to DC, he was in such a bad shape that he didn't even come to his brother's wedding. She looked at Seeley and Temperance who just finished their vows, she didn't understand much of what they just told each other, but clearly, they did, if one thing was certain for her, that Seeley, in spite of everything, found true happiness and love that most people only dream of. The day she met her son's wife, she knew he will be all right, that this woman will never let him fall, that she will be his anchor and his confidant, that she was the one who helped him heal and find peace with everything that happened.
*Hank*
Finally, those two stubborn kids tied the knot. Ever since he met Temperance, he knew she was the one for his grandson, she was the one who will be able to take care of him, it took them so long to get there, but it was all good now. Ever since Seeley told him that he and Temperance finally were a couple he was waiting for their wedding. He asked Seeley every chance he got to propose to her, but Seeley was so stubborn on the subject. He kept repeating again and again that it has to be Bones', as he called her, decision. Hank didn't quite understand it, honestly, he never really understood why it took them so long to date to begin with. Seeley never shared the details of their relationship but when out of the blue he decided to go to Afghanistan, Hank knew it was because of Temperance and whatever was going on between them. He wondered sometimes what happened exactly, but he also knew his grandson all too well not to push the subject and besides, it didn't matter anymore. Their turmoil was over.
*Max*
He was watching his beautiful daughter dancing with her husband. How he wished his wife was here, to see what a long way their daughter came, that she found happiness and love and family, even though they couldn't give that to her. He was a little sad that Russ couldn't make it to the wedding, Haley was in the hospital once again, poor thing had her last surgery and hopefully, after that, she will be fine. He was going to visit them in a few weeks. Max was so proud of his children, even though he wasn't there for all the things a father should have been. He looked at Booth, who was cradling Tempe gently in his arms and smiled to himself. He knew, the moment he met him, he knew he was what his daughter needed, not once he doubted that they will eventually settle down together. He saw how Booth was taking care of Tempe, how he gently nudged her out of the shell she created to protect herself, how he was ready to jump in front of her any minute to protect her from any harm. Max's heart was at peace, if anyone ever deserved his daughter, that was Booth. Max helped Christine with another piece of cake and laughed a little thinking back, when Booth arrested him and they had their ridiculous fight. Good thing Max didn't hit him that hard that night, otherwise Christine might have never been born.
*Angela*
Angela and Hodgins joined the couples on the dancing floor. Booth and Brennan were now sitting and talking, blissful and ignorant to anything that was happening around them, even Christine who was with her grandpa. They were completely consumed with each other, just like always, there was them and there was the rest of the world. Angela felt guilty she doubted Booth and she tried so hard to make it up to them with this wedding. When things get settled, she will have to talk to him, hopefully they will get over it. She looked at her best friend and then at Hodgins. She couldn't believe that Brennan wrote that message to Booth, she knew about Hodgins' note of course, but this was the first time ever she heard about Brennan's, none of them ever mentioned it. She knew that her friend was extraordinary stubborn, to the point of insanity sometimes, but that message was proof that she, just like Booth, knew they belonged together, she just didn't want to believe it. Angela really needed to applaud Booth's patience on the matter, he set some kind of a record for getting a girl, any other guy would have given up ages ago, but not Booth, not even when he desperately tried to move on, Angela knew that deep down he was still hoping and now the chase was over.
*Sweets*
Sweets knew that Booth was ready for years, he was ready even before Sweets met them, this couple, who became his friends and family, who were extraordinary different and similar at the same time. Gordon Wyatt was so right about them, their superficial differences meant nothing, if anything, they added uniqueness to their relationship. He was so happy when Dr Brennan finally saw what was obvious to everybody else and their vows today was a proof to that. A deep emotional connection those two people share was so unique, it was almost out of this world. He wondered if he ever be able to form such a connection with anybody, at one point he thought it could be with Daisy, but every time it got to the real commitment between them, something always happened, first Maluku expedition, then his drunken decision to propose and unpropose, his immediate attraction to agent Sparling…Booth and Brennan never had those kinds of problems, the moment they committed to each other, they did it hard, once and for all. First as professional partners, then as friends and finally as lovers. It was extraordinary, yes, it took a lot of time, but they were so sure in each other, it was never a question of "if", only "when". He thought about the book he was writing on them for years now, well the wedding happened, so it was time to finish the book with a happy ending.
*Wendell*
He was goofing around with other squinterns, all of them were so happy for Dr B and Booth. They were an example for all of them, both professionally and personally, but for Wendell it was also genuine happiness for his friends. Over the years Booth became a brother to him, his hockey team mate, a cool guy who was always looking out for Wendell and Dr B, obviously, was an icon for all of them, especially for Daisy and those two extraordinary people invited them to celebrate their day. Wendell knew that Booth was in love with Dr B for years, it was easy to see. All of the squinterns gossiped none stop if the two of them will ever get together and when they did and then a couple of months later announced they were expecting a kid together, boy did they celebrate, well, everybody but Fisher, he was kind of upset, saying that happy endings were appalling to him. But judging from the third drink he was about to have, Fisher was about to change his mind as well.
*Aldo*
Booth and Temperance were now leaving for their hotel suite, while Aldo was drinking himself to oblivion. He wasn't lying to Booth yesterday, he was jealous. God help him, he was also happy for Booth, if anyone deserved happiness after all the crap that he went through, it was Booth. Aldo knew how heavy Booth's heart was and judging from what he observed, so did Temperance. And he envied that, Booth found someone who accepted these dark pages of Booth's life, she knew everything about him and she still loved him, Aldo never had anything like that. He was jealous of the tenderness and trust they shared, true, she was a little awkward and blunt and all those things his former army buddies told him about Booth's girl before he met her, but she was also fierce and protective and she stood right besides Booth. He liked Temperance, unlike Ted for instance, who was so bitter and hostile towards her that he wouldn't even come to Booth's wedding. Yes, she was fancy and brainiac and arrogant and it's true that ever since she appeared in Booth's life, he wouldn't shut up about her during their gatherings. Way before they became a couple, Booth was almost drooling whenever he told them about his "Bones". It was also true, that from the moment she appeared in Booth's life he quit gambling, he put back his life, he reconnected with Parker, he excelled at his job and created a family. But as a result, he was drifting away from them, further and further. And as jealous as Aldo was, he was also happy about that. Booth got out, for real, most of their unit never will. Some man moved on as well, but most of them stayed back at the battlefield, including Aldo. He knew that cocaine was ruining his life, just like alcohol was ruining Ted's, some of them were lost souls, forever. Aldo tossed in another drink and decided it was his cue to leave. He hoped Booth won't screw this up, he prayed that his friend will be able to hold onto something amazing he managed to find after the hell he lived through.
*Avalon*
Those two silly birds finally left for their first night as husband and wife, while Avalon was on her third piece of cake and a fifth glass of champagne. She deserved it! She foresaw this wedding the moment she met Dr Brennan and agent Booth, so nice food and drinks were her reward. She just hoped that no spirits or ghost would disturb her today, she was so tired from all the singing she volunteered for, that all she wanted right now was to take off her shoes and get a message, perhaps the cute waiter will help her with that. After all, she deserved a reward.
