Suga's POV

His silver hair was messy, and he looked tired, it was 6:45 am and he was up and getting ready for school. His older sister Rhea Sugawara had started a new skin care routine, and even though he was ten, his older sister made sure he didn't eat to much candy. Candy, sugar, fatty fast foods, would give zits, and gosh those were a pain and hard to get rid of. But he was managing. There was a whole bunch of things he could get zits from, but his sister said those would be the first.

So, he had a skin care routine, and it was shower day, and he carefully read the instructions and did it step for step.

"Koushi, done?" his sister asked in Japanese, their father was Japanese and had moved to America to be with his wife, who had taken six years of studying abroad, and her seat partner had been their father, and since then they had moved to America and had two kids, Rhea and Koushi, they also adopted a dog and a parrot, and their was big debate if they should move to the country and get horses.

Rhea had been all for it and had declared she would start horse back riding.

Koushi had silently stared at his family, manga book in hand, he wasn't sure if he wanted to leave, he had friends and school. His whole life was here!

Percy from homeroom, Shouyo from Volleyball, the three of them hung out all the time after school, before, on holidays. He didn't want to leave his brothers. Despite them being his brothers, he had never told them he was already semi famous, he played Piano and sung. He had already published three albums and was on his way to start the next song.

*Doorbell Rings*

Glancing up from his lyrical mess Koushi checks out the window, he's home alone right now and doesn't want to open the door right away, because he isn't dumb not to know about stranger danger, like Sho-Chan.

The one who is at the door is Percy, he is putting a bike on its stick leg thingy and is waving up to his window. Grinning Koushi runs downstairs, jumping the last three and unlocks the door and allowing Percy inside.

His bestfriend of three years is standing in shorts, tan despite it being almost winter, and his long messy black hair hidden under a NYY hat, his green eyes bright and hidden behind glasses. He's wearing their best friend shirt, the three of them made shorts and runners. And slung across his right shoulder is a bag and Koushi smiles bigger.

"Percy, you came, and your mother said you could sleep over?!" Koushi cried in excitement.

"Yup, Sho-Chan couldn't come because his mother is finally having her child!" Percy smiled. "He said he'd send pictures," Percy said and slid his phone across the counter.

"Bring your bike in idiot and let's sit in my room," Koushi said and started to move the bench at the door, so Percy could lean his bike against the wall.

Texting his "Family Group-chat" he tells them Percy is sleeping over.

Mom: Have fun!

Dad: I will be late, patrol is hectic tonight, love you!

Sister: I'm at my boyfriends

"Kosh, my mom gave me money for us to order pizza or something," Percy smiles and holds up a few bills. "my da and stepmother are in the city, so mom wants to hit the beach and told me to head to theirs when I'm done having a playdate/sleepover with you on Monday. Paul is also going with her, and I felt like they wanted to be alone, so I came, and I missed you."

Percy smelled of chlorine and Koushi was not surprised, Percy was on Team America for Swimming. He had gone to Nationals basically every year of his life with swimming, winter, and summer, he trained like crazy, surfing in Hawaii in his free time of summer with his older Stepbrother Triton. When Percy wasn't swimming or surfing, he cycled, and played tennis, he had also taken up woodwork because his other half brother Tyson loved wood and mettle works and had taken up that at the local clubs.

Despite Percy playing volleyball at the beach, he didn't play indoor, and it made Koushi curios on why not.

"I'm working on our English homework," Koushi said and slid his paper to his friend who studied it.

"Annabeth and Jason helped me with mine," Percy grinned. Jason was his younger cousin and was always jealous of Percy getting Annabeth's attention. Despite those two only being friends.

"Lucky!" Koushi said. Annabeth being the class president and on student council despite only being 10, she was considered a prodigy genius child, smart in ways that made plenty jealous. She had skipped two grades and was almost considered for another year but held back due to the lack of physical education scores.

After his homework was done, with the help of Percy, they both played video games and ate pizza and cheese bread, and when the clock struck 10 pm the front door opened and his fathers voice calling out for him.

Glancing at Percy who was now turning the x box on he dashed out quickly to see his father taking his jacket off and his shoes.

His fathers silver eyes were slightly sad and Koushi wondered what that was about.

"Koushi," Dad said softly, holding his sons' shoulders and lowering his head. "I know you like it here in New York, but my boss has asked me to become the chairman at the Japan location, huge promotion and a bigger place, and we can get that farm dream house you and your sister and mother talk about," he said.

Koushi felt his heart break yet fill with joy.

He raced to his room and slammed the door shut, and the tears fell.

"Koushi?" Percy asked softly and pulled him into his arms, running a hand through his combed locks and making a mess of it. "Shhh, talk when you are ready," Percy rocked him gently and Koushi was surprised when he began to sing. It was about summer and loosing oneself, sad yet beautiful, and Koushi cried even more, he'd miss his friends.

"My dad just told me we are moving to Japan, to a place where he grew up in," Koushi fessed up and Percy paused in his humming.

"It maybe tough, but you can do it, plus on weekends I can stay up late, and we can facetime!" Percy exclaimed smiled and hugged his best friend. "I'm surprised you even stayed friends with me to be honest," Percy commented. "I'm always busy with training, and we see each other for a few hours and school."

"Well, when we were younger you weren't like this, but I still love you, you're my best friend!" Koushi said.

Holding his friend at arms length Percy stares into those silver eyes he knows like his own and smiles. "That's why you need to take this leap and jump, fly, go to Japan, make friends and when I make it to the Nationals of Youth that is taking place in Tokyo in a couple of years…" Percy laughed. "You better be there."

Shoyo's POV

His mother had been in and out of the hospital and his father was worried, Shoyo may have ADD and seem oblivious but he knew something was up. So being small helped with this. He listened in on the nurses, after they had walked out of his mother's room.

"She's to weak," one nurse uttered softly.

"She knew the risks of carrying this child though, and made it this far," another said.

"The stress of the birth will give her heart failure,"

Those words pierced his heart, and he ran away to the washrooms, closing the door and cried.

"Shoyo," Shoyo heard his father and he desperately tried to keep his tears at bay. "Sho-chan, open the door," his father said, his voice soft and kind and Shoyo opened the door.

"C'mere," he said and opened his arms and enclosed his son in the warmest hug, Shoyo has received… well besides his mothers. "We need to see your mother," his father said and Shoyo nodded.

They walked to the double doors that opened at the nurse behind the counters nod. Clutching his fathers' neck and hiding behind the orange hair Shoyo cries again when he see's his mother.

"Mommy," he whispers and holds his arms out for a hug.

Smiling tiredly and lovingly at her son Kagimi Hinata smiles and presses kisses to her son's face.

"I love you Shoyo Sunshine Hinata, my lil ball of sunshine… keep shinning, whenever you look in a mirror, or at the sun and the stars… I will always be there, in your heart, memories," she flicked his forehead and Shoyo smiled. "So, when I don't come home… don't be sad… I love you forever sunshine and remember to look after Natsu and your old man, okay?" mommy whispers softly, she takes my hand and holds a ring. "when you get older and finally meet a girl… or a guy you like, give them this, a little piece of me… will you Sho-Chan?"

Nodding fervently Shoyo accepts the golden band with his last name itched into it.

"Sunshine, smile for me,"

Through watery eyes Shoyo smiles at his mother.

"And when you find that perfect setter you want… don't let him go, you're special boy Sho, now go with your father and know that I love you,"

Line Break

When his mother didn't come home three days later with Natsu Hinata his new baby sister he cried. He cried even more when he realized that his best friend from volleyball, Koushi was leaving today for another continent… Japan!

Gosh that was so far away!

Despite his promise to his mother, Shoyo had stopped his sports and his smile. He spoke to Percy and texted Koushi, but he was sad.

Three weeks later his dad announced that they were moving to Japan, his grandma wanted to help raise her grandkids, now that Kagami was gone to heaven Shoyo's dad was a widow and a single parent. So, he was thankful for his mother's help. So, with another two weeks in America the Hinata family was bound for Japan and Shoyo wondered if he would see Sugawara Koushi.

LINE BREAK… cuz I can sorry!

Because Percy knew beach Volleyball, Shoyo on his last day in America asked his best friend for a toss. The older boy smiled and said that they could go to the school's gym to do some spike and setting. Percy never told Koushi that the reason why hhw never joined the schools volleyball team was because he loved to set the ball, and since Koushi had been the school's setter he declined playing a sport he loved. And now that Shoyo was leaving he wanted to play with him at least one last time.

TIME SKIP (SORRY!)
like Percy promised he made it to the Youth under 18 championships in Tokyo for swimming, there he met Koushi who was in lane number 5 like always and when the whistle blew, they dove, kicking and stroking the water.

Percy felt like he was flying, as he raced in the water to the opposite side of the pool, he drowned out the others and swam ahead of the rest. Flip turning and starting on back stroke. Counting to 60 before the flip turned and started on the breast stoke. He saw Koushi push up right behind him and Percy forced himself to go faster. Both his hands touched the wall at the exact same time his best friends did, and they sprinted the last 25 meters to the diving boards and Percy shouted in joy as it displayed his 2 minutes and 54 seconds and Koushi's at 3 minutes. Panting he swum to his friend and shook hands, taking his team America cap off and hopping out of the pool and helping Koushi out of the water.

Koushi's POV

Time Skip

Koushi had been at Karasuno Middle School after his family had moved, it had been revealed he had managed to get a scholarship with Karasuno High for his piano playing and his swimming. His good grades were a bonus, and the fact that his father's promotion had happened mad it even more convenient to go. So Suga had trained hard to go to Youth Nationals, which was basically like the Olympics but for those under 18. He had raced Percy and had lost; he hadn't heard anything at all from Shoyo and that had made him wonder what was going on with the little ball of sunshine. Both he and Percy had received a letter saying that he was moving elsewhere and wouldn't be able to say goodbye to them, and since then… silence.

Now he was entering his last year in high school and he was nervous, he loved volleyball, but they didn't have a strong team and it hurt. He wanted to show off his skills and he wanted to show the Prefecture that they weren't just fallen crows. That they could fly, but they never had enough applications. Even today Daichi said that the first years had, had their orientation day last week and he had only gotten two applicants.

Daichi never said who it was but he had a small smile on his face so when Koushi saw the familiar orange head talking with a tall boy with black hair on the first day for the first years he shouted the name.

"Hinata!" he called out tone firm and the shorter orange haired boy turned to face him face paling and eyes widening before…

"KOUSHI- CHAN!" and Shoyo Hinata barreled forwards and the two fell into an embrace.

"Koushi- chan?" the second year asked and made a weird face. "How do you know our setter shrimpy?"

Koushi smacked Tanaka's head and pulled his sunshine close.

"Don't you insult my baby," he cried and stuck his tongue out.

Despite Koushi now knowing of Shoyo's dilemma and his promise to his mother, Shoyo had lost his passion for Volleyball until he had seen that fateful match when he was 12. The tiny giant soaring into the sky, and when he finally managed to spike the King of the Courts toss the three of them celebrated.

Koushi despite being Shoyo's best friend and older brother, not by blood- but by bonds, had disagreed with Shoyo, making the boy freeze. "I just want to learn to spike without closing my eyes!" Shoyo cried, tears streaming down his face as they argued that night.

"Shoyo, you can't entirely spike my tosses," Koushi had said.

"Then let me learn! let me spread my wings and fly!" he screamed and Koushi sighed.

"As vice captain I am telling you not to come to practice until you have cooled off," Koushi said coolly and walked out to his car and drove home. He knew Shoyo was right about wanting to spike with his eyes open… but that freak quick was amazing and Shoyo only managed to spike with his eyes closed.

That year they made Daichi's dream a reality and made it to Nationals, it was quite tasking, and when Shoyo finally managed to hit the ball with eyes open he had stared at Koushi for a long moment before walking away, that night Koushi apologized and explained why he said that.

Their friendship was rocky after that and Shoyo who had already been hanging out with Kageyama a lot, now they hung out all the time.

Time Skip, Brazil

Coach Tanji Washijio helped him with trying to become better at Volleyball, he said that he knew someone in brazil, and his name had been Ocean in Japanese, said he had black hair and green eyes. That he played professional Beach Volleyball and would be a great teacher to be taught from.

"Listen," Tobio said grabbing his arm. "Become stronger and when we face each other on opposite sides of the net…. Know that my team will win," Tobio vowed and Shoyo smiled.

"Love," Shoyo said enjoying the others blush. "When I come back, stronger I will show you how I can fly higher then before," he said and pulled his boyfriend down for a kiss and waved at his family and headed off to the waiting line for his plane.

"I LOVE YOU!" Tobio Kageyama called out and Shoyo held onto that memory of his pink face and deep blue eyes gazing at him.

…..

When Shoyo got to Brazil he was met with a female who smiled at him as he walked to her, she had his name on a white board, which she tossed as soon as he came over.

"Hey, my name is Annabeth Chase, I'll be taking you to Ocean, he's eager to see you." Annabeth said and she strode to a car with a trident on the licence plate and window.

They drove for at least an hour before they got to the beach house and Shoyo yawned trying to stay awake. all that plane riding was tiring.

"Honey?!" Annabeth called out. "I'm back and your new student is here!" Annabeth called out in English, and all thanks to living in America for 8 years of his life did he understand her well. But living in Japan and not needing to speak English as much had dulled his brain on the language a tiny bit.

A man with wind swept black hair, green eyes and muscles that made him blush a tiny bit stood there in sandals. Shoyo could also see a tattoo and that made him pause….

"Percy!?" he cried out.

Chuckling the man put his surfboard on the rack and smiled and pulled his best friend into a hug.

"Here, I am known as Ocean, Shoyo-chan." He spoke. "Now I here Tanjiro said you are here to become stronger at beach Volleyball?"

"Yup, to finally beat Kageyama on the big stage when I am finally strong enough."

"This isn't going to be easy," Percy warned. "My girlfriend and I won't go easy on you, and we will start on the Portuguese, Annabeth will help you with that, me I will teach you to become stronger at Beach Volleyball, I'll teach you to Fly High."

Shoyo bowed and he began his two-year journey in Brazil under the guidance of his childhood best friend and his girlfriend and later that month a young man named Pedro joined too.
