Disclaimer: I do not own neither HIMYM or Harry Potter, I just really like both and felt it would be a fun story.
"Dad, come on! You said you would tell us! We're old enough now." Mia whined as she followed her father into his office. Her father signed and shook his head. "I don't understand why you even want to know. It's not that fun of a tale."
"Dad, you do know why. I have been pestering you for months to tell us. We want to hear how you fell in love. From what we hear from Uncle Harry, it's a lot more fun than you let on."
Her father turned around and raised an eyebrow. "Why did you ask your uncle? Fine, I'll tell you, but I can assure you, you should really hear this from your mother instead. She tells it better."
"Dad..." Mia said sorrowfully and shook back the tears. "You know that's impossible. Come on! I just want to know!"
He nodded "Fine. I'll tell you. Call your brother down here." He said as Mia literally yelled for her brother. He pinched the bridge of his nose and chuckled a little. "I actually meant to go and grab him, but I guess that works." As his son, Leo entered the room, Draco Malfoy sat down at his desk and took in his two kids.
His daughter, Mia, was the oldest by two years and was entering her Fifteenth year. She had blonde hair, but not as white blonde as Draco's was. She had pointed features like her father, and light blue eyes. She was taller than most girls her age, and had an athletic build due to playing quidditch her while life. His son, Leo, was thirteen now and had light brown hair. He was shorter than Draco, but he thought Leo would end up being taller than him. Leo had hazel eyes that were usually on the green side. He also played quidditch his whole life and was slim, but muscular. Draco had to admit they made some pretty cute kids. He just wished his wife was here to see them.
"What?" Leo asked obviously a little annoyed.
"Dad is gonna tell us their story." Mia replied obviously excited.
"Oh goody." Leo replied with a roll of his eyes.
"Well take a seat, and I'll begin. Just know this might take a while. Our story spans years. It was epic. We survived bloodshed, and with everyone telling us it was wrong. Against all odds, your mother and I fell in love."
He smiled at the looks from his kids. His daughter looked completely raptured, and his son looked utterly uninterested.
"It starts at our first year at Hogwarts..."
An eleven year old Draco Malfoy was walking around the Slytherin Common Room like he owned the place. After all he was the only son of Lucius Malfoy, the heir to the Malfoy fortune and one of the Sacred-28 pureblood families. Even the older Slytherins stayed clear of him.
"C'mon Drakie, come sit down next to me." He heard the pig nose Pansy say and he rolled his eyes. "No way Pans, and don't call me Drakie, I despise it." Draco replied narrowing his eyes at her.
If the Parkinsons weren't a friend of the family and a part of the 28 also, there would be no way that Draco would talk to her. She was annoying and frustrating and she always latched onto him. Which just frustrated him even more.
Just then Crabbe, Goyle, and Blaise came through the door. "Yo, you should have seen the faces on Potter and Weasley just now. Crabbe just convinced Peeves to chase them all the way to the Third floor corridor. You know, where we aren't supposed to go. They were caught by Filch and have detention. It was priceless!" Blaise said laughing as he told the story to Draco and Pansy.
Draco chuckled along with all of them and Pansy frowned. "I don't understand the fascination everyone has for those two. Every girl in our year are fawning over Potter." She said shaking her head.
Draco laughed "It's only because he survived You-Know-Who." Goyle replied and everyone nodded.
"And that Granger girl they are always around is the worst of them all. She's so ugly, but has already stuck her claim on both of them." Pansy continued and Draco raised an eyebrow.
"If I didn't know any better Pans, I would think you were jealous of the ugly girl." He said smirking, knowing that would get a rise out of her.
"Don't be stupid. You're the only one for me Drakie." She replied angrily. Draco glared and the other three boys laughed.
"Drakie!?" Blaise asked and roared with laughter the most.
Draco glared at him and shook his head. "Keep it up Blaise and I'll give you something to laugh about. Or rather cry. And Pansy I told you to quit calling me that." Draco threatened and all shut up.
Everyone was silent for a bit before Crabbe said something that made all of the rest throw pillows at him. "I actually think the Granger girl is kind of cute."
Draco groaned, and threw his pillow. "Shut up Crabbe. She's a muggleborn, and has crazy hair with enormous buck teeth. She'll never be cute. Get better standards." He replied before heading up to bed.
Little did he know that he would be eating his words just a few years later.
"I thought you said it starts in first year, and all you did was insult her! Why would you start there!?" Mia complained and Draco laughed.
"Patience Mia, in order to understand our love, you have to know everything. You'll know when I get there. I told you this was a long story." He replied.
A/N: I plan to keep this a somewhat short fic, let me know what you think so far.
