Chapter 1
Walking down the narrow paths of Menagerie, was a tall teenage boy, he wears a long-sleeved black suit jacket with slit sleeves and more red designs and a white symbol on the left side. His suit jacket is red on the inside with red flame-like accents at the bottom and his wilting rose emblem on the back over a white floral design. His suit jacket is half-buttoned, exposing a red shirt with a black line running parallel to his collar under it.
His mask is whitish-tan with red, Japanese style, horn-like symbols decorating the front, and two slits on each side presumably to allow for vision. This is a redesigned version of the Grimm masks typically worn by most members of the White Fang.
He wears long black pants, black shoes with red soles and black gloves with more red emblems on their forehand, appearing to be a variant of the Greek letter Ω (Omega), the last letter in the Greek alphabet.
He wears a black belt with white domino marks on it.
His name was Adam Taurus, one of the last remaining bull Faunus left on Remnant, apparently, according to history books that was found in the White Fang library and Ghira's home, they were dangerous and were put down, apparently a few of them escaped, but the numbers continued to decline.
Bull Faunus were said to be extremely dangerous and destructive when angered, or when they are in heat, they become a libido monster, often having to have multiple partners to satisfy themselves, and when they bond with someone, they always want them to be with them, like a primal instinct that ran deep in the blood of any bull Faunus. This was a rather weird fact to learn for Adam, but any remaining information on his Faunus species was interesting to learn
For the aggressive part, that sure was the case, just like those history books said.
As he continued to walk down the paths of Menagerie, many of the citizens gave him wide berth, allowing him to easily pass through without any problems, many of the people gave him heated glares, but they didn't affect him, not anymore, he already received much worse, especially when he has started to remember his childhood times, when his parents were murdered in front of him by men in futuristic suits and the Atlas emblem on their uniforms. When he was taken to the mines and forced to work there, until he tried to run which failed and led him to getting that horrible scar and bring him much more pain.
"It doesn't feel right anymore." Adam said quietly to himself as he walked down to a small and conspicuous building that belonged to the White Fang.
His hand went into his pocket and pulled out his ID card and put it to the scanner that was in the door and acted as the peep hole that can let people from the inside look out but not the other way around.
With a slight beep the door opened without a sound, putting his ID card back into his pocket, he allowed himself to walk into the base of the White Fang, in hopes of talking to the leader that he didn't like at all. Not after she took the job he wanted.
The hallways of the base weren't that extravagant, it was mostly red wallpaper with some black and even gold thrown in the mix, the floors were simply carpet that was soft and could often feel one's foot sinking in.
Adam sighed for what seems like the hundredth time today, as he was walking by, he saw many of the lower members of the White Fang salute him and some even bowed to him.
As he made his way closer to the room where the High Leader was located, he saw two guards, that were higher in ranks than most others, being handpicked by the leader herself, both being dog Faunus due to their sense of smell and better hearing.
"Adam." The guard on the right said as he became tense and his ears flattened on his head, knowing of Adam's aggression when it comes to certain things.
"What brings you here on this fine day?" The guard on the left said as he brandished his sword and held it in front of his chest while his tail was swinging slowly.
"I am here to speak to Sienna Khan." Adam said to the guards as he put his hand on his weapon.
The guards seeing this action tensed up and looked to each other quickly and decided on letting him through.
"Don't do anything reckless." Both said in unison as they stepped out of the way and allowed him entrance into the room.
Adam just ignored them both and walked into the room, walking along the deep red carpet and walking by many support pillars.
"Ah, Adam, what a lovely surprise." Said a feminine voice, Adam looked up and saw the High Leader of the White Fang; Sienna Khan.
Sienna Khan is a Bengal tiger-based Faunus with orange eyes, dark complexion and wild black, chin-length hair with an asymmetrical bob style. Her Faunus trait manifested as an extra pair of ears, and her body was adorned with numerous tattoos resembling tiger stripes. She wore four golden earrings on three of her ears, one each on her human ears, and two on her left Faunus ear, as well as a small jewel on her forehead.
She is dressed in a form fitting black dress with light green accents on the rims of the outfit; the dress left most of her back open, had two long splits on the side which revealed a pair of black shorts, a shorter split in the front and a small squared keyhole. Over the dress, she wore a back-revealing red cape with gold accents, as well as a green waist cincher with red rims that had a black belt over it, which fastened a green pouch on her right hip. Aside from that, she wore black stockings in conjunction with green sandals that had red laces which were tied to her calves, as well as a black elbow length fingerless glove on her right hand.
"Indeed." Adam spoke coldly to Sienna Khan, who narrowed her eyes at Adam's blatant disrespect.
The two guards standing either side of the thrown Sienna was sitting on pointed their spears towards Adam in a threatening manner.
"You will show the proper respect for the High Leader!" They shouted out in unison, with the glares being felt from behind the darkened masks.
Sienna lifted her hand up to stop the guards from doing anything reckless.
"What is it that you want Adam?" Sienna asked, knowing that this will either be another try to become the high leader or something completely different, like another mission.
"I want to have a small break." He announced, nearly making Sienna Khan fall out of her throne, and the other two guards by her look at each other, with possible bewilderment behind their masks, "Think of it like a little vacation. I will be going to Vale."
"Why is that?" Sienna questioned, eyeing him like this was some sort of sick joke, although, she knew Adam wasn't the one to make jokes like this, "Why after all this time?"
Adam took a deep breath, he never was one for opening up to others, and placing himself on the table like this was something that was definitely a big risk to the Bull Faunus, especially considering that he had many enemies in the White Fang, "I need to clear my head." He spoke out, before shaking his head and looking down to the ground, "I am having... unpleasant thoughts." Adam said as he sighed to himself.
There was a few moments of silence, and Adam for once, dared to not look up at Sienna Khan at this very moment, "Alright then." He heard her say, causing him to look up at her, however, seeing her current expression, he knew that he needed to do something for her. Nothing came free, especially when it was regarding the White Fang, "I expect you to behave, and do not cause any problems." Sienna said as she agreed to let Adam take a small break from the White Fang.
She knew that an unfocused mind can be dangerous when in combat or in a mission. She had lost many friends and allies this way, and it was a sad thing to witness.
"Thank you, High Leader." Adam said politely to the leader and did a small bow of respect, something he normally wouldn't do, but with his unfocused mind he couldn't help but let some of his very old personality out.
As Adam finished his bow of respect, he turned on his heel and walked back down the room, leaving an absolutely dumbfounded Sienna Khan and two body guards.
"Well, he did say he was having 'unpleasant' thoughts, but him being polite and respectful? Talk about surprising." The guard on the left said as he lowered his spear to his side, with the pointed end facing up.
"Indeed. Makes me wonder if the old Adam is breaking free." The guard on the right said as he lowered his spear down as well.
"Old Adam? What do you mean?" Sienna asked curiously, despite being High Leader, she didn't know that much about Adam himself, he was so cold and isolated most of the time.
Both guards looked to each other and sighed, they knew they shouldn't have said that.
"That is something you need to find out yourself." The right guard said as he looked up to the ceiling, finding it more interesting than looking at the leader.
"Ask him yourself, if you are lucky, he might tell you." The left guard said as he looked towards Sienna Khan, who had her ears lowered a little bit in anger and her orange eyes looking at the guards in a mixture of curiosity and anger.
"Fine." She huffed and leaned back on the throne she sat upon, taking the polite Adam in her mind and filing it away for later.
Adam was walking into a small district, which happened to be on the outskirts of town, the district was relatively large and had plenty of space growing up, however, what used to be an amazing sight to Adam, was now nothing but crushing despair, something that he couldn't move away from because of the sentimental value it held, along with his parent's memories.
The dirt paths that were once clean and pristine were now overrun with knee high weeds and grass, buildings that were once stable and painted every summer were now chipping away at nothingness with the paint being chipped and dulled.
Windows that used to be in fine and pristine condition were now old and outdated with many cracks and breaks in them, with one window being a few glass shards hanging upside down.
Once he made it to the main building, which was almost the size of the Belladonna's house. The details conflicting and flashing back in forms of memories versus reality. The once clean and polished oakwood door was now broken and cracked in many places, with a few bullet holes making their mark in the door. The once beautiful golden door handle was now nothing more than a rusted piece of equipment and looked ready to fall out.
Adam sighed as he opened the door, having a small glimpse of the past when he opened the door to be greeted with his mother. Sadly, as the door opened now, there was complete silence, no noise except for the creaking of the door and his own breathing.
'Home sweet home.' Adam thought to himself dully as he walked through the doorway and walking into the house with him closing the door behind him.
As he walked around the place, he walked over a cabinet, where pictures of him and his family in the long past were. He looked at a certain picture where he made his first friend.
He was smiling, his blue eyes shining in brightness and his reddish-brown hair was messed up from the wind, his bull horns were just growing, his shirt was a simple black shirt with white outlines, and he was wearing some red shorts. He had his arm slung around the shoulders of a small female feline Faunus, the very person who betrayed him weeks ago. Blake Belladonna.
She looked exactly like she does today, except she had eyes that were full of happiness, her smile was small but still there, she had her small cat ears showing and was wearing a simple black sundress.
Adam had a blank look on his face as he gazed at Blake, the feeling of what she did still lingering in his mind and soul.
As he walked away from that photograph that was taken all those years ago, he walked further down the hallway, where his room resided. As he was walking his foot made a sudden crunching noise and he heard something smash under his foot.
He lifted his shoe up and saw that he accidently stepped on a picture frame. He looked at it to see which one he stepped on and saw that it was a photo a few years after he joined the White Fang and started to mentor Blake.
'I was a fool to believe you.' Adam thought to himself in sadness as he walked over the picture, not bothering to put it back where it was before it found itself on the ground.
END CHAPTER
I hope you guys enjoyed this first part to this story, this is an Adam-centric fanfiction, because I really like Adam as a character, not really his morals but I enjoy him, I feel like he doesn't get enough love, so I decided to make a fanfiction about him. Now since we don't know the actual age of Adam, I am making him 1 year older than Yang, Blake and Weiss and is 3 years older than Ruby.
His relationship status will not be a driving force in this fanfiction, and it may turn into a Harem fic later on. He will hate the Schnee's and Atlas for his past and will slowly, I mean very slowly build up until he is able to 'cope' with it.
Constructive Criticism wanted, Flamers will be ignored.
