Chapter 4

Prologue Too Sadd

Helen and Grandma pulled up to the house, and they saw Joe Morelli waiting for them. They saw him sitting on the swing. As Helen Plum and Grandma Mazur pulled into the driveway of the Plum home they saw Joe Morelli sitting on the porch waiting for them.

"Hello Joseph," Helen told him.

"Mmom, go inside. I will want to talk to him," Helen told her.

"Okay." Edna said as she, all of a sudden pinched Morelli's butt.

"Och, that hurts," Joe said.

"I just talked to herStephanie, and she is delighted with Ranger. And after I spoke to both of them together,. I think they should remain together. Joseph, she told me that you cheated on her at least a dozen times. She told me why she ran you over with Frank's cab. Do you have anything to say?" Helen said to him.

"Alright, I may have screwed up with her. But I have changed, and I want her back. Can you help me?" Joe told her.

"No, I won't help you, and I am asking you to stay away from her."

Helen walked into the house and called Stephanie, "Hey mom, everything okay."

"Joe was waiting at the place when grandma and myself pulled up to the house. "He wanted me to help him get you back. I told him I would not. I also told him that I was happy you were with Ranger."

"Thank you, mom; I will call you later," Stephanie said.

"What did your mom want Babe,?" Ranger asked.

"She wanted to let me know that Morelli was waiting for them at the house. He wanted my mom to help him get me back. She told him no because she knew how happy I am with you. She tells me that he will not give us peace Carlos." Stephanie told him. Just then, Ranger's cell phone rang, "Yeah," Ranger said.

"Boss, Morelli wants to see Stephanie," Tank said hm.

"I will meet you downstairs, Tank," Ranger told him

"Babe, I will be downstairs; stay up here for a while," Ranger told her.

"Okay," Stephanie told him.

Ranger and Tank walked out of the building, "Morelli, what are you doing here?"

"I want to talk with Cupcake." Morelli snapped.

"She is not feeling well, Morelli, and please leave before I have you arrested for trespassing," Ranger told him.

"Fine, I will be back; cupcake and myself belong together," Morelli said and then left.

Ranger got on his phone, "Hello."

"Mrs. Plum, I need your help. Morelli was just here, and he wanted to see Stephanie. I told him that she was not feeling well. He bought it for now. Can you talk to Angie Morelli and let her know what is going on? Maybe she can help calm him down." Ranger told Helen.

"I am will call her right now. Thank you for telling me about Joseph," Helen told Carlos.

Helen got on the phone, "Hello Angie, and it isit's Helen. Can I talk to you for a few minutes?"

"Absolutely," Angie told Helen.

"Joe was two-timing Stephanie, and that is why the two of them broke up. Also, Stephanie is dating someone else, and he is giving both Stephanie and this man a hard time. He was just over at Rangeman demanding to see Stephanie. Stephanie is pregnant, and Carlos Manoso is the father. I don't want any stress on Stephanie. Can you understand that?" Helen asked Angie.

"Of course, and I wonder if Terri Gilman knows that my son was two-timing her?" Angie told Helen.

"He dating Terri Gilman for how longHe's dating Terri Gilman? How long has that been going on?" Helen asked Angie

"Ffor about a year, and I would love to teach my son a lesson," Angie told her.

"Okay, thank you so much. I will talk to you soon," Helen said and then hung up.

Just then, Joe walked into his childhood house. "Hey Mom"

"Joseph, I just got a call from Helen; she told me that you two timed Stephanie when you were with her. That you are not leaving her alone with her new man. Is this true?" Angie asked her son

"Mom, she belongs with me, not Ranger," Joe told her.

"You have been dating Terri for a year. Were you dating Stephanie at the same time? Were you like your father?" Angie asked him.

"I am not like dad!" Joseph yelled,.

" Could have fooled me." Angie told her son.

Joseph stormed out of the house.

"SheHelen called Ranger back got on the phone to Ranger, "Hi Mrs. Plum, did you get anywhere," Ranger asked him.

"I called his mother, and we talked, that is all. I have a feeling that Angie will talk to him." Helen said, and then added, "How is she feeling?"

"She is doing well, and I will keep you posted," Ranger said and then hung up.

Later that night, Helen and Frank were sitting at the table when there was a knock at the door. " It is open," Frank yelled.

Just then, Joseph Morelli strutted came into the house, " Helen," He yelled.

"Joseph, what are you doing here?" Helen asked.

"I want to know why you told my mom about everything I did," Joe asked her.

"I thought she had a right to know, what you were doing, to those other women," Helen said, then added, " Please leave; we are having dinner."

Joseph left the house.
