Johanna Stark Living life once more
Summary: She was reborn with the brain of a Stark. As a soul that has lived, before. You'd think she would use her new genius in a responsible manner. Nah, she was Tony Stark, twin sister after all and hacking into SHIELD while building ray guns just seemed more useful. Falling for Clint Barton though was not a part of the plan that just sort of happened. (One-shot) (OC reborn)
Parring: Clint x OC
Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division really need to work on their name it was far too long. Other than that, the place was fairly quiet on most days there hadn't been too many aliens that the CIA didn't handle themselves, letting them to go about their normal routine.
Until they got hack.
And, was that Mario playing on every computer and every screen?
Fury was not at all pleased.
"Hello, there SHIELD!"
There's a woman on the screen and Fury knows who she is.
"Stark, what are you doing?"
"Playing Mario. You guys have the best internet connection. Is that why everyone else is slow and painful because you, government buildings are on it all the time?"
"Did you hack into my system just to use our internet?" Fury asked.
"Will that and play Mario," Johanna said.
The music played in the background as Agents fuss over the computers trying to log back in.
"You guys have a lot of information on here. Every world leader, every secret organization…"
"Stark."
"Oh, and stuff about Howard. And, my big brother and stuff about me. You know once my brother finds out about your little group of spies, he's going to change his report."
"Stark get out of here."
"You know if you're looking for Steve Rogers, he's still alive. Sleeping but alive."
"Stark."
"Sir, we found her," three agents said in the room with her.
She stopped playing Mario and turned to face them with a smile.
"You wouldn't hurt a woman would you?"
She was quickly handcuff.
"Alright, fine maybe you would, but you wouldn't hurt Tony Stark little twin sister. Now, would you? I don't think big brother would like it if I just go missing. Wouldn't want to piss of the man who runs an Industries that makes weapons for a living. Would you?"
Fury didn't reply she did however get kicked out.
"Whatever. I'll just go back to my coffee shop."
Stark coffee is the number one coffee shop around the world.
No, it wasn't run by Tony Stark he did all that weapon stuff that daddy dearest wanted. Which was fine by her, but being reborn as the daughter of Howard Stark was bound to cause some tension and jealous issues. Lucky she remembered her past life and did not at all have a problem in staying in the shadows.
Tony can deal with all the press stuff she can deal with coffee, sweet cakes and apple pies, maybe even make a flower shop sometime next year. Who knows?
It did get a little annoying when people stop to gap at her. Clearly new customs because everyone else was used to Tony Stark, twin sister serving them coffee.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Can't I see my lovely sister on this fine day," Tony teased.
She passed him the coffee that had recently been made.
"What's the point of being a billionaire if you have to buy your own coffee. You know I charge you double."
"But I'm your own brother."
"Triple."
It's done with a frown, but it's paid nevertheless.
"Don't forget the tip."
She gets a penny.
She not jealous of her big brother not at all, but that didn't stop her from teasing him when she can. What? That's what siblings do.
Tony Stark goes missing and so does she.
Only for a different reason.
She knows better than to stay near Stane and hacking into shield would at least take her mind of things.
Stane still after her, no doubt about it. Sure, she wasn't in the spotlight, but the company does get passed down to her if anything happened to Tony Stark. She knows she read his will she was his heir and business ran in the family, but with Stane still breathing and alive with no doubt had some sort of hit on her. She does what she does best troll a bunch of Agents.
Unfortunately, they catch on and she finds herself locked away in a glass, cells. It beats being with Stane she wondered if she could poison the man coffee when she gets back.
"Are you here to question me?"
She was expecting Phil maybe even Natasha not Clint though he never seen to be the question type.
"Yep, that's twice you've hacked into SHIELD.
"I should sue you. You stole my name."
He raised an eyebrow.
"I won't I gave you that name. Much better than your last name. I bet you don't need to stand in front of the mirror practicing it."
"It does roll of the tongue a lot better, but names are not what I'm here for. It's the fact that your missing at least to the public. The moment Tony Stark goes missing you do to. What's up with that?"
"My brother spending time in a cave dealing with terrorist. He's there against his will."
"You know this how?"
She smiled.
"Past lives."
He blinked.
"Yeah, exactly. You have no idea what I'm talking about and that's perfectly fine. But that's how I know and I also know who's behind it. Hack into his laptop when he wasn't looking."
Which was true. She might know a lot more due to past lives, but she was in a world of superheroes. Heroes tend to change their backstories, their world depending on what world they are in. Heck, there's a world out there where her brother was a female and another one where he kept himself being Iron man a secret.
Hacking into Stane laptop was the only way she could be sure that he was actually trying to kill them.
"So, you ran away?"
"I did. My brother didn't. Stane made a hitlist and our names we're on it."
"You don't even run the company."
"I'm my brother heir until he has kids of his own which would be forever when he does." She said rolling her eyes she wanted to be an aunt already. "Stane wanted me out of the picture so I left before he could kill me. I'll come back to the surface once brother returns. Don't want big bro to worry about me that sort of stress isn't something he needs."
"As if Tony Stark gets stress," Clint said.
"He does at least when I'm involve. But my brother will come back and he will deal with Stane himself."
"Then why come here?"
She poked out her tongue.
"You're a superspy you work it out."
So, Clint does and she can see the gears turning in his head.
"It's the safest place to be."
"Bingo arrow head. It's why I'm not kicking up a fuss about being put behind glass walls. Although I do have a question what's the deadliest poison that can kill a man?"
Clint leaves.
"Hey! I answered yours. It's a fair trade. I'm not going kill you if that makes you feel better. It's for Stane."
Clint closed the door.
"Oi!"
She huffed and fold her arms.
"At least get me some magazines or colour in books."
Tony Stark returned only to panic soon after.
"What do you mean she missing?"
"She missing Tones. Went missing the same day you did," Rhodey said.
"And, you didn't want to tell me this early because?"
"Didn't want to add on extra stress."
"Oh, yeah, sure great idea Rhodey. Really great idea, tell me once I return that my own twin sister is missing and nobody seen her since. Where could she be?"
"Hey, don't worry Tony, we fine her."
"I just came back from terrorist that wanted me to build them a weapon. Of course, I'm going to worry."
"Sir," Jarvis voice said. "Miss. Stark has returned home with someone."
"With someone? Who?"
"Big brother."
There Johanna was standing next to a boy.
"You went missing and bring a boy home."
"Hey, it's not like that. The playboy thing is yours not mine, but this is Clint. He held me in a glass jar for months."
Clint backs away slowly, maybe because Tony Stark is suddenly glaring at him.
"It not like that." Clint paused. "Okay, will it, was sort of like that, but let me explain."
Clint never did because he was soon tossed out of Stark tower by a very tick of Rhodey and a glaring Tony.
Obadiah came back with pizza.
"I'm glad to see you two are alright."
Johanna had a yo-yo. She wasn't very good with yo-yos and it ended up hitting him in the face. Obadiah pretty sure she doing it on purpose.
"I was very worried when you didn't come back Tony then your sister went missing."
Wrack.
Ow, that was his ear.
"And, will I didn't know what to do."
"It's alright Obie, we're back," Tony said.
Wrack.
Ow, now she got his eye.
"Will if you two need anything do call me."
Wrack.
Ow, that was his knee and it hurt a lot.
"We will Obie."
Obadiah walked away and he hears Tony speak up.
"If you're going to start using yo-yos, I think you need more practice sis."
He's pretty sure a vase just shattered.
It happened again only packman playing.
"I thought we upgrade our system," Fury said.
"We did sir," Agent Coulson said. "It's just isn't Stark proof."
At least this time they know who's behind it.
Clint not surprised.
"You know I'm pretty sure your brother wants me nowhere near you after last time."
"I know," she said more focus on packman then the spy beside her.
"Why are you here then?"
"I got bored and Rhodey said if I hack into the air force system again their going to sue me." She shrugged her shoulders. "Which is fair, but still."
"I thought we we're the only base that you hack into?"
"Aww, feeling hurt arrow head."
Clint snorted.
"I have you know I hack into other places to," she said.
"You have the mind of a Stark and you spend most of your time hacking into things that you shouldn't."
"Daddy dearest said the same thing. My big bro so used to it by now."
"Stark knows then?"
She nodded the game almost finished.
"He knows. He was the one that the air force called to pick up his trouble sister."
She won naturally.
"Are you going to kick me out now?" Johanna asked.
"Yes."
Tony not too surprised that the Agent knows his sister.
"Hi, Phil," Johann said.
He's also not too surprised that she knows him by first name.
"So, what government organization did my sister tick of this time?" Tony asked.
"There SHIELD," she said casually while trying to work out her yo-yo.
"She hacks into our system and plays video games at least every Sunday."
"You're not here to sue, are you?" Tony asked.
"No, Stark the agents are fairly used to it at this point. Anyway, I'm here to question you about your time in Afghanistan. Your sister had already told us, but we just want to make sure."
"Is this the whole past life thing?" Tony asked. "She been on about that since she was a kid. Used to think she wasn't meant to exist."
There goes the yo-yo hitting Everhart in the face.
Thus, that is why Tony, sister flee the building and Tony followed soon after. Phil never got his answers.
"Are you feeling sick?" Tony asked.
He's at the coffee shop and his sister had never gave him a free coffee never.
"No. Also, are you alright with me making ray guns? I'm not going to sell them to the military."
"Why do you want to make ray guns?" Tony asked taking his coffee with caution.
Maybe, his sister had finally snapped and decided to poison him. Why else would she give him free coffee?
"Also are you feeling sick?" he asked again.
"I'm not sick Tony. Gee, why do you think that? Also, I want to build ray guns because I know about your project."
He's not surprised.
"Will I supposed if you're not going to sell them to anyone else then yeah. You sure it's not poisonous?" he asked looking at his coffee very carefully.
"No, it's not. I made it myself. Beside poison coffee is for Stane. Can't I give my big brother free coffee after he's been taken by terrorist?"
"No," he said. "You really can't."
It still freaks him out. Maybe she was taken by aliens and replaced with someone that was meant to learn about human life. Sis, always did go on about aliens.
"Fine. Pay up then and just for that you need to pay four times as much."
That felt so much better. Wait? Four times as much.
"And the tip."
He gives her a penny.
Pepper is shock to find Tony in a suit with bullet holes.
"You have bullet holes."
"Hi, Pep. Um a little help please."
Then a bust of energy is shot out leaving a large hole in the wall.
She not assumed to find Joanna in the distance holding up a large gun.
"Hey, cool it works."
"You're going to pay for that hole. You do know that right?" Tony asked.
"I supposed it's payback for making him pay triple for coffee."
DUM-E nods.
"I still don't get it. Why come to my coffee shop to buy coffee?" Johanna asked.
"I need to check on my sister every now and again."
"Aww, he does have a heart," she teased.
He muttered under his breath, but this is all well and good Pepper still more concerned about those bullet holes. What does he mean the military tried to kill him?
Clint not too sure when or why, but when it does dawn on him there's an awful gasping sound coming from his throat like he was drowning. At least Phil turned around to see if he was still alright.
"Clint what the matter?"
"I think I like someone."
"Alright, then."
Phil goes back to work. He has paperwork he needs to sign and reports to write.
"No, not just like, but like, like."
Phil nodded his head trying his best to be supportive.
"As in love. I think I'm in love with Johanna Stark."
Phil turned his head ever so slowly.
"I'm sorry, but what?"
"In love with Johanna Stark."
His brain is working overtime.
It really shouldn't be that surprising. Much like Tony Stark seen as the top ten handsome men in the world. Johanna up there with the top ten hottest women. They we're Stark's after all and charm runs in the family at least now Phil understood Clint, awful gasping sound.
"Maybe it's just a crush."
"No, I don't think so."
The sound of Mario is heard and right on time Johanna is here.
"Will good luck with that," Phil said returning back to his report.
"Phil, you don't understand."
"Tony Stark not going to kill you. He isn't that type of person."
"She told him that I was the reason why she went missing and why she was kept in a glass box."
"Tony Stark still won't kill you, but he isn't going to like you. Maybe ask Natasha for protection."
"What's this about me?" Natasha asked as she strolled in.
"Clint in love with Johanna Stark."
Natasha left the room.
"Nat, your meant to be supportive!" Clint cried after her leaving him alone to his report.
Tony couldn't move.
Obadiah was in front of him.
Tony had always known the man wasn't meant to be trusted. Maybe in a different world he would've looked up to the man, but with a sister like Johanna warning him of the man almost every second week. He was naturally not going to trust Obadiah Stane. He just wasn't ready to face the man.
Wasn't ready to face the man that was once Howard good friend and the twins Godfather.
Until now.
Where he was left alone in the tower with Obadiah using a weapon the military never approve and now, he watched helpless as the man took a step forward until an arrow shot between them.
An arrow?
Who uses an arrow?
Obadiah turned and to face none other than the man that Johanna had brought home.
"Don't even think about it," the archer warned.
"Who are you? And, what are you doing here?"
The archer shrugged his shoulders.
"Johanna called for help."
Then out of nowhere his sister comes along and punches Stane in the face knocking the old man down to the ground. Hands on her hips with a frown on her face.
"Big brother."
He, be fine that stuff would wear of anyway.
"At least he didn't pull out your heart this time."
He wasn't even going to ask just thankful that the archer was putting Stane in handcuffs.
That is why Obadiah Stane found himself arrest which was a little unfair, Tony at least, hope that his godfather downfall would be more epic.
The coffee shop closed for the night, but it isn't empty for the Stark twins sit at the table.
"You're not going to tell the world that you are Iron man?" Johanna asked.
"I will. Just not let. Let the whole Stane case fly over first. Don't want to leave too many, mic drops in one week."
"I'm sorry about Stane."
"Whatever for?" he asked.
"He still hurt you in the end."
"You're not doubting this are you? Just because you we're late. I was the one that kept him around."
"Not like that would change anything," she said. "It might've caused more trouble if you kicked him out sooner."
"Maybe. Is that why you went missing when I did?"
She nodded her head.
"I didn't feel safe. I know the company was meant to be mine if anything happened to you, but Stane was still there and I didn't feel safe with him there."
He shrugged his shoulders not really finding anything wrong with that idea.
She was still in the states, Stane might've actually killed her and the worse part was Tony would've come home to find his sister dead. That would not have worked out to well for him.
"As long as your still alive?"
Clint waited outside.
"You know your Robinhood outside. Not with the gear though."
"He's of shift. Not too sure why he's here though. I only see him on Sundays."
Tony hummed.
"Can I speak to him?" Tony asked.
She raised an eyebrow.
"Whatever for?" Johanna asked.
"Will I'm the oldest."
"You we're born first by an hour."
"Still the oldest," he lightly teased. "I need to play my big brother card."
She rolled her eyes.
"Whatever."
She let Clint in and pointed to the table while she headed to the kitchen.
"So, Robinhood."
"It's Clint."
"Birdbrain. My sister mentioned you before."
"She has?"
"Yep, not recently a lot as a kid. The man with the arrows."
"Past life thing?" Clint asked.
"You know? I'm impressed, but yes. Speaking of which. I'm going to play my big brother card. If you harm my sister in anyway or even just use her for a one-night fling. I'm going to track you down and make sure you know what pain is. Understand?"
"Don't harm your sister, got it."
"Good. If you want to speak to Johanna, she in the kitchen."
"Right, ah thank you."
He watched as Clint walks of while he drinks his coffee.
"I thought Phil does the debrief thing?" she asked.
"I'm not here for a debrief. It's more of a question actually."
"You're not going to ask me out for coffee, are you?" she asked. "Because I make coffee for a living. I don't really want my first date to be about coffee."
Clint choked on air.
"How did you?" Clint asked.
She smiled.
"I'm a Stark. I'm not that hopeless," she said.
"So, will you go out with me?" Clint asked feeling as if he was a kid again.
He's either going to get rejected or she going to say yes. Clint does hope that she will say yes.
"Sure."
She kissed him on the cheeks and Clint face went red.
"I'll give it a go. See how it works out. Just not coffee."
"Not coffee it is. How about a movie?"
"Movie fine with me."
Johanna Stark was not meant to fall in love with Clint Barton nor was she meant to actually go out with him, but will things happen and she willing to go along with it.
Fury not even surprised any more.
"At least she picked a different game," Phil said.
Pokémon was not something Fury wanted to see on his screen.
"So, if you marry her. Does that mean your last name is changed to Stark?" Natasha asked.
"What's that meant to mean?" Clint asked.
"She a Stark."
"Yeah, and?"
"Pretty sure you're not the one with the pants in this relationship."
"Nat! Phil, Nat doubting my manhood."
Phil tapped Clint on the shoulder gently.
"Nobody doubting your manhood," Phil said trying to support him.
"Yes, I am," Natasha said destroying Clint dreams. "There's even a betting pool."
"There so mean Phil."
Fury not impressed at all. Not only did he have some blue penguin thing throwing bubbles at the foe on his screen, but he was dealing with his agents.
"Hey Fury," Johanna face suddenly appeared. "Have you met Thor yet?"
"Isn't he the Norse God?" Fury asked.
"Yep, that's the one," she paused. "Actually, never mind. I got the timeline wrong. I think Bruce is next. Or, are you meant to find Steve?"
Johnna lost.
"Aww, man dumb thunderbolt."
Clint still a crying mess. Natasha is still teasing him. Phil is trying to be supportive and Fury just wanted to go back to work. Why did it have to be a Sunday?
Johanna knows Tony Stark had doubts.
He had doubts because of Howard because Howard always compared to him to Steve. Steve could do better, Steve could do this, Steve did that and when he wasn't comparing Tony to Steve. Howard compared her to Tony. Why couldn't you be a boy and not a girl? Tony could do this better. Your brother smarter.
Howard never wanted a girl.
He didn't want her. Always pushed her to the side and never allowed in the lab because labs we're for boys and not for girls.
She tried so hard not to hate Tony for that. Tried so hard to not blame Tony, but it was hard when once before she came from a timeline where at least a woman was allowed in a lab. Sure, men and women being equal from one another was far of point, but her timeline tried.
Howard timeline didn't.
But now this timeline was.
This timeline was slowly catching up and for that she thankful for. It still left a stung and Tony Stark still doubted that she knows because she did.
Howard might've had a brilliant mind, but he was not a brilliant father and if Tony needed emotional supported then she would give it to him.
It was just that today was one of those bad days where he stayed in bed and refused to get out, refused to move whatso ever his mind elsewhere and all she can do is comb a hand through his hair and hum.
If her father from her past life had raised the both of them things would've been different, but Howard had them.
"You didn't know any better Tony," she said. "None of us did. Howard didn't know what he had when he was around. He didn't know what his kids we're better than a ghost he was chasing after. And, if Captain America agrees with anything Howard had ever said to us then he's no better either. You Tony Stark have a heart and you're someone that has changed the world for the better. Stuff those that think otherwise."
"Thanks sis."
She has nothing else to say, but she does stay by his side and let him be. Beside Iron man might be a hero, but Tony Stark had always been hers.
Bruce Banner happens and so does Thor. She knows because Clint wouldn't stop telling her about it.
"He was a God," Clint said. "Like an actual God."
She kissed him.
"Is that to shut me up?" Clint asked.
"Yes, because I swear if I keep hearing about Thor on our date. I might think your cheating on me." Johanna teased.
"With a God?"
"Hey, Thor a fairly good-looking guy. He's Prince and a God. I'm just a Stark. That's some competition I have."
"Will lucky, you don't need to compete with that guy."
He kissed her.
"Boo. Get a room you too," Tony said.
She forgot they we're in the coffee shop lucky it was closed.
"Good idea. Let's go to my tower."
"You have a tower?" Clint asked.
"Duh. I wanted a simple house, but Tony said no and built me a tower instead."
"Babe, have I told you that I love you?"
"You could tell me more often."
"Boo."
She tossed a notebook at her brother and headed off to her tower with Clint beside her.
"You must be Fury," Tony said.
There's a man with an eyepatch in his tower.
"Your Agent stole my sister from me and currently have her locked away like a Princess. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Fury shows no sign of emotion not surprising. Sis, always did say that the only emotion he had was anger.
"I'm here to speak to you Stark."
"So, this isn't about your Agent."
"What Agent Barton does on his free time is none of my concerned."
Tony took a slip of coffee.
"Is this about your boy band?"
"There's more superheroes out there Stark then you. The world bigger than you think."
"Oh, I know. Aliens, Gods, more heroes than you can count on your hand. Cap sleeping in ice. Sis, been telling me about this since I was seven."
"You believe her on such matters?"
Tony Stark trust Johanna Stark more then he trusted anyone else. He was born with her after all. She is his twin sister, but also his best friend of course he was going to believe her. And, yeah sure as a kid he thought that was super annoying. Listening to all that hero talk while Howard had his back turn.
Since the caves though he knows better than just to throw her of.
"Compared to you. Yeah, I believe her. And, you want me to join your boy band?"
Fury nodded his head.
Tony slipped his coffee.
His sister always did say that he would be an Avengers. Beside that didn't mean he had to actually listen to any of Fury rules.
"Fine. I'll join."
Fury starts to walk away only to pause.
"You're not going to listen to me, are you?"
Tony finished his coffee.
"Nope," he said popping out the P.
He hears Fury muttering about seeing this coming and the old man leaves.
Johanna did say he turned down the first offer, but well he was Tony Stark he was going to change things up.
Now, should he have another cup of coffee?
"Are you still trying to learn how that yo-yo works?" Tony asked Johanna one day.
"I think I'm getting the hang of it."
She wasn't really he could tell by the way she was just swinging it around.
"Beside yo-yo could be a powerful weapon one day."
He nodded his head.
"Yeah, sure and pigs would fly."
"It could save someone life from a God."
"You're not planning on defeating a God with a yo-yo, are you?"
His sister didn't answer right away.
"Sis?"
"What? Okay, maybe I am, but still. If that plan doesn't work, I'll use one of my laser guns."
"Is that what you're calling them?"
Johanna been working on them since he worked on his iron suit.
"Will it's better than Iron man."
"Hey. Iron man is a very good name."
"It's not even made of iron."
"It's still better then laser guns."
"Nah."
"Yeah."
"No, it isn't."
"It is to."
"Is not."
"Is to."
"Sir and Miss. Please no fighting."
"Sorry, Jarvis," they both mumbled.
Ow, that yo-yo hit him in the head. Jarvis, she did it on purpose.
One day, just one day Fury would like a Sunday without videogames on the screens. He might've wished with Stark dating Clint she would stop hacking into their system. She didn't.
She still comes on a Sunday every three o'clock in the afternoon to play video games. Now, he had to put up with some cooking mama in front of him and he was not at all pleased.
"So, are you going to marry her?" Natasha asked.
"It's been two years," Clint said.
"Sounds like enough time to be married."
"Natasha wants a kid name after her," Phil said. "I think she wants to be godmother."
Natasha glared.
"You know it's going to be real, strange when you start working undercover," Clint said. "Johanna knows who you are."
"So does Stark," Natasha said. "Sounds like they both had for a while."
"Are you still going to go by with a fake name?"
"It's a part of the job Clint."
"I know. I know, I just need to remember it. Otherwise, I'll end up calling you Natasha."
"You will not be coming over when I have a mission."
"She, my girlfriend. Of course, I'm coming over."
Fury decided he really didn't like cooking mama background music.
"Stark you have ten seconds to get out of here before I do end up trying to sue you."
Cooking mama was gone taking that stupid music with it.
"What wrong with cooking mama?" Clint asked.
Fury glared.
The three Agents walked slowly away from him.
He really did not like Sundays.
Stark Expo hadn't been done in a long time. In a very long time, yet it was because Tony wanted it to be which is fair, she supposed, but Tony also wanted her to be there.
What part of coffee shop woman did Tony not understand?
Whatever, she supposed she will just go along with it and so she here on stage with cheerleaders behind her as she, get ready to speak.
"Welcome everyone to Stark Expo!"
The crowd cheered. Iron man flies in and stands beside her.
"We're glad to be back."
Tony, get attacks on their birthday by Ivan Vanko. Before he even puts the suit on the man sent flying off into the distance. All thanks to Johann and her ray gun.
"Big brother this is the worse birthday yet."
Tony not going to lie he will admit it wasn't the best.
Something was wrong she knows this. She knows her body better than anyone so when that time of month stops rolling around, she goes slightly pale and gets a pregnancy test and to her shock she finds out she pregnant.
With Clint Barton?
Oh, dear.
She calls Rhodey because if anyone she knows that won't freak out it's Rhodey.
Rhodey freaks out though.
"What do you mean you're pregnant?"
"I have a kid growing inside of my stomach."
They both scream and they both freak out.
She, freaks out because that's Clint Barton kid.
Rhodey freak out because his little sister in all, but blood is pregnant with Barton kid and he is so not ready to be an uncle.
Calling Rhodey was not the greatest idea, she should've called Phil.
Phil knows what to do. He's Phil after all.
Phil fainted on the spot the moment he was told. It turned out he didn't know what to do.
Pepper got called next and thank God, Pepper knew what to do. Pepper, marry her brother so Johanna knows Tony Stark would at least make it to the kid six birthday. What do you mean your not even dating him yet?
Tony Stark is dying.
The palladium was slowly killing him so go figure. He lives through being kidnapped by terrorist breaks out and now the very thing is keeping him alive.
"You need to keep trying," Johanna said. "At least try to save yourself. I'll help in any way I can Tony."
"Why? What's the point? Something bad just going to happen and I'll be hit in the crossfire and almost die again because of it."
"Because I want my kid to know about his uncle."
Tony goes pale.
"What?"
She nodded her head.
"You and birdbrain?"
She nodded her head.
"Does he know?"
She shakes her head.
"He's on some mission with SHIELD. I don't want to tell him just yet."
"Might be a good idea. But still are you sure?"
She nodded her head.
"Yep, Rhodey knows and Phil. I called them first thinking they might know what to do."
"They didn't, did they?"
She shakes her head.
"Men are hopeless. Pepper knows though I called her next she been helping me out we're even going to go shopping for baby clothes this afternoon." Johanna said.
"But still your?" Tony said.
"Yes. So, please Tony. I want my child to at least know his uncle."
So, Tony just does. Making a new element in the process because he's an Uncle and damnit it he wanted to spoiler that kid.
"Normally, I would be on the military side about your whole Iron man thing, but I just found out you nearly died and made a whole new element. While on the same day I find out my sister is pregnant," Rhodey said. "I'm still mad at you about the whole weapon thing Tony."
"But you're going to be on my side with the suit?"
"Yes. Only because I don't want to stress Johanna out and if I lose my job over this then I lose my job. We stick together Tones."
"Thanks mama bear."
Rhodey rolled his eyes.
"Want to know something Rhodey?" Tony asked.
"What that Tones?"
"I'm making you a suit."
"Why does Rhodey get a suit and I don't," Johanna said.
She's been down at the lab making ray guns.
"Because your pregnant. And, I am not letting my twin sister fly in a suit when she has a kid inside of her."
"Are you saying I can't look after myself?" she challenged.
"What? No, I'm just saying."
She shot at them they moved out of the way.
"Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm helpless."
"I didn't mean for it to sound like that."
"Tony."
"Yeah Rhodey," Tony said. Both boys slowly backing away as Johanna walked towards them with a gun in her hand.
"We need to leave."
"Please, she Johanna, she wouldn't hurt us," Tony said.
She pulled the trigger leaving a hole in the floor.
"She currently pregnant with a ray gun," Rhodey pointed out.
"Good point."
"Every man for themselves."
"Hey, Rhodey come back."
She shot again missing them and hit a wall.
"Miss. Stark do try not to kill them," Jarvis said.
Johanna made no such promises.
Clint comes back from a mission finding both Tony and Rhodey hiding under the table at SHIELD.
"I'm not even going to ask."
"Shh," Tony said. "Don't tell sis we're here. She trying to kill us."
"Johanna wouldn't try to kill you."
"Yeah, will she would."
"What did you do to piss her of this time?"
"Nothing."
Rhodey nodded his head.
"It's just not a good day. You need to speak to her."
"Why?" Clint asked.
Clint didn't want to face an upset Johanna. She must've done something to bring the great Tony Stark to hiding here of all places.
"Because it's to do with you two."
"If she got a letter saying I dump her then it's fake because I'm still in love with her."
Tony blinked and exchanged looks with Rhodey. Rhodey shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay, nice to know you didn't leave her, but that's not the problem the problem is she seriously trying to kill us all because I won't build her a suit. Not that it would matter because she just as smart as me and can build her own suit."
"You guys aren't going to tell me, are you?"
The two shake their head.
"Fine, whatever. I've got to go home anyway."
So, he does, finding Johanna making coffee cake and banana bread. Along with finding out the news that they're going to have a kid and like Phil he faints on the spot because really, it turned out some men just didn't know how to deal with such news.
Hammer never got those plans because Rhodey didn't sell them to the military. Hammer still ended up in jail though because he tried to hack into Jarvis, key word try it failed. He also got in jail after over hearing a plot to kill the Starks.
Ivan got out, but that wasn't really much of a problem because a tick of Johanna sent the man flying off into a wall with one her ray guns. Natasha did go undercover, but Tony Stark was qualified so no real issue there until the baby came.
"Push," Clint said. "You need to push."
"What do you think I'm doing standing still like a tree?" Johanna snapped.
Tony gone pale mainly because his twin sister was holding his hand far too tightly. Rhodey collapsed outside along with Phil, while Natasha was swearing in Russian and thank God, Fury was trapped in traffic. The poor nurse was trying her best be supportive. Pepper and Happy we're both running late, not that Pepper was too pleased with that, but no ranting to Happy wasn't going to push the traffic along.
Then came the baby.
"It's a boy."
"He's so sweet," Johanna said holding him in her arms.
"Yeah, takes after his mother," Clint said.
The pair kissed and that was how Nathanial Anthony Barton Stark was born. (Yes, Natasha is godmother, but Rhodey is the godfather.)
Steve isn't too sure about the future.
Things have changed and everyone he knows is either dead or old. Even Howard gone, died in a car crash as the reports had said, but the man left two children behind. Twins.
Tony and Johanna Stark.
He didn't get to see Johanna during the attack the woman had three kids and was located elsewhere for her protection.
It made sense, she was Clint, wife and the man was brainwashed by Loki moving her far away had been SHIELD choice with Tony Stark backing it up.
The battle over though.
"Daddy."
Steve blinks and turned to the sound of three kids running up to Hawkeye who was no longer brainwashed.
"Oh, thank God you three are okay."
"We're okay. We stay with Aunt Pepper and Uncle Happy. Mum alright to."
"Clint."
A woman stood in the distance and dashed up to Clint with open arms the young family took her into a hug.
This is what Steve fights for. For people like them to still be able to come home.
"Are you really a God?" one boy asked a tied-up Loki.
Loki frowns.
"You must be brother Hawkeye son?" Thor asked.
"Yep. I'm Cooper by the way. The girl Peggy by the way."
She looked like the youngest out of the three.
"She, name after mum, grandma Peggy."
Peggy Carter an old woman now in a nursing home a Peggy Steve no longer knows.
"Hi," Peggy the second said.
He watched as Tony is taken in for a hug by Johanna.
"Did you really know grandma Peggy?" Peggy asked.
"I did."
"That's cool. She a bit sick now. Mummy said it's because of her mind funny and she has trouble remembering things. Maybe you can tell me some stories about her."
Steve smiled.
"Yeah, yeah I like that."
"Cool, you're the Hulk," the oldest said. "Your like super strong and green. I like green, but I don't like green peas."
"Hulk no like peas either."
"Yeah, their gross," the boy said.
Maybe the future won't be so bad after all.
"No. I am not faking my death," Phil said.
"The team thinks you're dead," Fury said.
"I'm still not faking it."
"And, why not?" Fury asked.
"Uncle Phil," the kids said.
"That's why."
"I thought he was dead?" Tony asked only to get hit in the shoulder by Johanna. "Ow."
