It has been 2 months since Clary's brother has died. Their life has been quiet and normal (considering their shadow hunters). Clary has not been feeling well lately but she still trains. Jace and Alec are on a mission and Clary and Izzy are training when Clary starts feeling dizzy.

"Are you okay, Clary? You look a little faint." asked Izzy.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just feeling a little dizzy, that's all."

"Do you want me to get you a water?"

"Can you please?"

"Yeah. It's no problem."

Isabelle leaves to go get a water. When she leaves Simon comes in.

"Hey Clary. Do you where Iz-"

With that last sentence Clary faints and hits her head on the floor. Simon rushes over to her and checks her pulse. He does not feel anything and starts to get worried. Izzy comes in with the water and sees Clary on the ground and runs to her. Simon does not see Clary breathing so he starts giving her CPR.

"What the hell happed?" asked Izzy.

"I don't know. I came in here to look for you and Clary fainted. Where were you!?"

"She asked for a water, so I went to get her a water."

Simon continues to give CPR to Clary, but she still is not breathing. Izzy calls Magnus and tells him what happened. He said he would be there in 10 minutes. Jace and Alec then walks in.

"Hey guys, how's trai-…" Jace sees Clary on the ground and runs to her. Alec follows Jace, not seeing Clary. Alec then sees Clary and starts to worry.

"What happened to her?! Is she going to be okay?!" Jace asks super worried as he sees her not breathing.

Izzy says "We don't know. She was looking a little pale during training, so I went to get her a water. Simon saw her faint and started giving her CPR because she stopped breathing."

Magnus arrives through portal and checks her. Jace steps back and has tears falling down his cheeks. After a couple of minutes, Magnus stops the magic he is doing and turns to the group.

"Is she okay? Is something wrong? Is she died?" asked Jace sounding worried and had tears in his eyes.

"She's fine. I got her heart beating again. She was just overly tired and dehydrated. She just needs water and rest, and she should be good, but Jace can I speak to you privately?"

"Sure."

They walk out of the training room and into the hallway looking around to see if anyone was around. Once they notice no one is around, Jace turns toward Magnus.

"So why did you want to talk to me privately?""

"Have you and Clary been sexually active lately?"

"Yeah like 2 months ago but what does that have to do with Clary dying?"

"Well... she's pregnant."

Jace froze and thought he heard his heart skip a beat. He thought of Clary carrying his child. His child. THEIR child. Of course, it's a little soon but now all his thinking about right now is Clary and him being the most perfect family.
He starts smiling but then realizes that Clary doesn't know.

"Magnus, Clary doesn't know. I don't know how she will react to her becoming a mother in 9 months."

"Actually 7 months since she is about 2 months pregnant."

"Magnus that's not the point."

"Don't worry. She probley will be scared but she's a tough girl. She's survived harder things then pregnancy."

Jace thinks then realizes that the baby could have been hurt since Clary stopped breathing.

"What about the baby? Clary stopped breathing for like 5 minutes, so is it okay?"

"Yes ,the baby is okay. I guess Clary's angel blood kelp the baby alive because a normal baby would probley not have survived."

"Oh, thank the angel."

Clary is still not awake. Isabelle, Simon, and Alec just sat there in silence. Izzy finally breaks it.

"Do you think she will be okay? I mean she stopped breathing. She couldn't just have died and come back to life because she was tired and dehydrated. There has to be something else." said Izzy while thinking what it could be.

"I think we should ask Jace when he comes back." suggested Simon.

"I think we should leave it alone and let them tell us when they want too. Think about it. It could affect them both and could be personal." said Alec.

"But we are like sisters. They should tell us if we ask."

"Well right now I can feel Jace. And he isn't doing well. He feels scared and panicked. Its best if we don't ask questions. Right now, we need to find a way to wake Clary up."

A couple of minutes later and Magnus and Jace walks back into the training room. You can still see his eyes red and puffy. Jace goes to Clary and moves her to where she is propped up in his lap.

"What about her head? Simon said he saw her fall which means she could have hit her head." ask Isabelle.

"Her head is a little bruised but nothing to serious. She might have a headache for a couple of days but that's all."

Jace stared at Clary thinking of how he could have prevented this. I mean she could have died. She STOPPED breathing! He kelp repeating, please be okay. Please wake up. I need you. Our baby needs you, over and over in his head. He then saw Clary's fingers move a little and saw her eyes starting to flutter open.

"Clary?!" said Jace.

She opened her eyes to see Jace smiling above her with tears in his eyes. She looked over to see Alec, Simon, and Izzy staring at her with wide eyes. She also saw Magnus smiling at her.

"Umm... what happened?" Clary ask while realizing she's on the floor. She then whimpers because her head starts to hurt.

"Are you okay?" ask Jace after seeing her in pain.

"Yeah. Just my head started hurting. What happened? Why am I on the floor?" said Clary while getting up from the cold floor.

"You fainted because you were dehydrated and exhausted. You even stopped breathing but Magnus saved you. Your head also hurts because you hit your head on the floor when you fainted." said Izzy.

"Thank you, Magnus. For saving me..."

"You're welcome, Biscuit." said Magnus while smiling.

"Yeah, Magnus I forgot to say thank you for saving Clary. I don't know what I would do if I lost her," Jace said while walking over to Magnus and pulling him in for a hug, "Or if I lost them both." Jace made sure to whisper that last part because he was talking about the baby. Magnus hug Jace back and whisper, "You're welcome. Also, I don't know what I would do if I lost her or my future niece or nephew."

They pull away from their hug and Jace turns to Clary, "I should take you to bed and get you something to eat. It has been a long day for all of us, especially you." Jace says while giving Clary a kiss on the cheek.

Jace takes Clary's hand and they walk to their bedroom. Clary falls asleep while Jace orders Taki's. After he orders it, he turns to Clary asleep on the bed while curled up in a ball. He thinks of ideas to how to tell her she's pregnant. He goes over and kisses her cheek while playing with her hair. After 30 minutes the food arrives so he goes to the institute door and gets the food. When he gets back to his and Clary's room, he sees Clary shaking and talking in her sleep. He puts the food on the table and starts trying to wake up Clary. He finally wakes her up by shaking her and she joints up. She then wraps her arms around him and starts crying. Jace hugs her tightly and rubs her back in a circle motion.

"Babe, its okay. I'm right here." said Jace trying to calm her down because if he knows anything about pregnancy, it's that stress isn't good for the baby which will probably be hard since she does hunt demons every day.

"Sebastian... he was a- alive and he kill- he killed you." stuttered Clary while sobbing.

"It was just a dream. I'm right here. See I'm perfectly fine." Jace said while showing her he wasn't hurt at all.

Once Clary calmed down, her and Jace ate their food in silence. Jace thought this was probably would be a good time to tell her. He didn't want to wait for tomorrow because he doesn't like to keep secrets between them. That's one thing about their relationship, they never keep secrets. If they did it was for like a surprise party, not something like being pregnant. He took a deep breath and Clary could tell something was up.

"Are you okay? You look a little stressed." asked Clary while sitting her food on the table. She sat back down on the bed and Jace takes her hands.

"Clary when I tell you this please don't freak out or be mad. I never meant for this to happen." Clary nods her head but then starts to think.

"Did you cheat on me?" she asked sounding mad but hurt at the same time.

"WHAT! Nooooo. I would never cheat on you. Why would you even think that?" said Jace thinking on how on earth she would think that he would do that to her. He loves her way too much to do that.

"Well usually girls get mad if their boyfriend cheats on them. And you said I never meant for this to happened so I-"

"Your pregnant." Jace blurted out. Right when he said it, Clary's face turns super white like she has seen a ghost. She starts thinking about all the bad things that could happen. What if the baby dies? Would Jace want to keep it? Would he leave Clary? What if the baby only has one parent? What if she dies while giving birth? All these things could happen. She realizes that her breathing is starting to get heavier and heavier. Jace starts to notice that she is hyperventilating and tries to calm her down.

"Clary is going to be fine. Just breath okay. Follow my breathing, okay." said Jace while having her hands in his, trying to comfort her. Clary tries to follow his breathing, but it doesn't work. Jace then yells Magnus's name for him to come check her and to help her breath. Magnus comes running in and sees Clary panicking.

"Biscuit, you need to calm down. Stressing isn't good for the baby."

"I can't-... what... I..." Clary couldn't get her words out. Suddenly, blue sparks came out of Magnus's hand and Clary closes her eyes and falls into Jace's arms. Jace catches her and sits her on their bed. Jace turns to Magnus looking mad.

"What did you do to her?" Jace shouted not caring if anyone heard them or not.

"She was stressing too much. I had to do something so she wouldn't lose the baby. So, I put a sleeping spell on her. She should wake up tomorrow morning."

"How do you know that spell didn't hurt the baby?"

"Darling, I am the high warlock of Brooklyn. I think I would know if it would harm it. Also, I wouldn't use a spell that I don't know 100% if it would harm the baby or not."

Magnus leaves and Jace goes to sleep while thinking about Clary. Would she want to have a kid with him?

Jace wakes up first and sees Clary sleeping peacefully. Her eyes then start to flutter open and she catches Jace staring.

"You know its creepy to stare at someone while their sleeping." said Clary while rubbing her eyes to wake them up. She looks at Jace and starts smiling. Jace is caught off guard by her sudden happiness after yesterday.

"By the way, I wasn't staring. I was gazing." Jace said with a smile on his fast. He kisses Clary's forehead. She was about to say something when she felt the urge to throw up. She ran to the bathroom with her hand covering her mouth. Jace followed her wondering what was wrong. He then saw her throw up and he held her hand back and rubbed circles around her back. After she was done, Jace hands her a rag to wipe her face. She wipes her face and brushes her teeth. She turns around after brushing her teeth and she sees Jace with a concerned look on his face.

"Are you okay?" asked Jace while coming up to her and kissing the top of her head.

"Well, I am 18 years old and pregnant, so you know..."

"You know what I mean. Yesterday, you kinda freaked me out; with the whole nightmare, dying, and panic attack thing." Jace said with tears forming in his eyes and a concerning look.

"I'm fine, really. I was just thinking the worst and freaked myself out. I'm sorry." said Clary, looking really guilty.

"You don't have to be sorry. When I found out, I was freaking out too." Jace said. There was a long askward silence until Clary asked, "How do you feel about becoming parents?"

"Honestly, I'm excited. Maybe its soon, but I've always wanted to start a family with you. And now, we finally get that chance," Jace paused a little then said, "How do you feel? I mean you're the one who is carrying our child."

Clary thought about how she really felt about being pregnant. Of course, she is excited, but she's also scared. I mean she is a demon hunter. But the whole thought about having a human growing inside her scared her. She doesn't just have to think about herself, but also another person. A baby. That thought scared her. What if she lost it, and it was her fault she couldn't protect it? It would be her fault. Her fault that she couldn't take care of a baby who wasn't even born yet. Her fault that she had failed it, Jace, herself, everyone. HER fault. It took a while to realize Jace has been calling her name several times while waving his hand over her face.

"What- I'm sorry. What did you ask again?" Clary said while trying to re-focus of Jace.

"I asked how you felt about the baby." said Jace with a worried look on his face. Clary turned to him a gave him a soft smile.

"I'm excited. But a part of me is scared. What if we lose it? Then it would be my fault that I couldn't protect it. I don't know if I could handle that." said Clary while moving and siting on the bed.

"Hey, listen to me. We will get through this together. I promise. Nothing bad will happen. And it wouldn't be your fault, things happen that's out of you're control. I will be with you every step of the way. So, please stay focus on the positives. I mean we are going to be parents!" Jace said as he picked Clary up off the bed and hugged her tightly. Once they let go, they were smiling at each other.

"Yeah, that is pretty great. I love you." Clary said as she kissed him. All of a sudden, Izzy burst open the door. Jace and Clary pulled apart and faced a worried Izzy.

"We have a demon attack. We need all the help we can get. Gear up." Izzy said then walked out. Jace gave Clary a worry look and Clary gave Jace a shy smile. They geared up and met everyone in the weapons room. Simon saw Clary looked worried.

"Oh hell no. Where do you think you're going? You almost died yesterday; you are not coming." Simon said sounding angry and looking around to see if anyone agreed with him.

"Si, I'm fine. Plus, they need my help, so I'm coming." said Clary while looking at Jace for help. Jace just continued to look at the ground, thinking. There was some silence until Isabelle finally spoke, "We don't have time for this. Let's just go."

Everyone gets up and Magnus makes a portal. Everyone steps inside and sees a scary scene. There're demons everywhere. Looks about 50 just standing there. Everyone looks around and doesn't know where to start. Suddenly, a demon tries to attack Clary right where her stomach is but Jace jumps in front of her and, with his blade, slices through the demon's heart. Clary stands there with her heart pounding, staring at Jace with wide eyes. She starts shaking from shock; she could already have lost the baby and she hasn't known about it for 24 hours. Jace looks at the others then back to Clary.
