"Man this blows, I wanna be out their causing chaos like them two" said Polly.
"Sorry Polly but after all the previous close calls I can't take any chances this time" replied Hop Pop.
Polly then frowned in dissapointment then turned away and just stayed like that for a little while, meanwhile Anne and Sprig were ventured off into the forest where the exact place were Anne was transported to when she first arrived. They were just laughing and having a good time like always until a giant bug appeared out of nowhere halting them in their tracks.
"What the heck is that thing?" asked Anne.
"I don't know Anne, certainly something that I've never seen in quite sometime" replied Sprig.
The creature then yelled in anger and then saw the two thinking they were invading it's territory, then it started to go after them as Anne and Sprig then made a run for it with the bug giving chase not far behind. Anne then tripped up over a tree root and fell down while the bug was closing in on it's possible prey. She tried to get up and gather herself to keep running but the bug grabbed her and started to drag her away.
"Oh crud, Sprig help!" yelled Anne.
Sprig then stopped and then turned back to see his best friend was about to be food for this monster, he was horrified and quickly ran back to save her before it's too late. Sprig was seconds away but he knew he had to hurry.
"Hang on Anne, I'm coming!" said Sprig.
"Hurry up dude, before i'm this gross thing's next devouring" replied Anne.
Sprig finally got their but the creature was then about to go underground taking Anne with it, but he was not going to allow his only other friend get eaten or dragged down. He then was infront of Anne and reached his hand out for her to grab.
"Anne here, take my hand" said Sprig.
She nodded and gripped onto his wrist's and Sprig did the same with Anne, now it was a tug of war as Sprig pulled with everything he had to rescue his close bestie. The creature was not going to lose it's prey and tugged as well.
"It's no use, I'm going to be a goner" said Anne.
"Don't think like that Anne, i'm not letting go" replied Sprig.
Sprig then really leaned back with all his weight and lifted his feet up and dug his heel's in the ground making sure he doesn't get pulled along, Sprig gritted his teeth and shut his eyes and pulled harder, but the creature was much more bigger than the two combined and certainly with a bit more power. And then it was using that as it was then getting more into the hole than presumed it came out of, Sprig's feet was then slipping through the dirt and ground inch by inch being truly overpowered.
"On no, this is it" said Anne.
Sprig then tried scrambing his feet to gain some movement back but it proved useless at this point, just when it looked like it was doom and gloom a unexpected ally came to their aid and fought the creature making it loosen it's grip a bit.
"Who the heck is that?" asked Sprig.
"Doesn't matter now dude, just keep going while you've got the chance" replied Anne.
Sprig then suddenly lost his grip not knowing he was still helping and then realised it, then he quickly then got on his stomach and this time reached his legs out to his friend while the shadow figure was still fighting the giant bug.
"Here Anne, grab onto my feet" said Sprig.
She then did so as Anne tightly gripped onto Sprig's ankles good and he grabbed onto a nearby tree root thankfully it was just within his reach with both hands and began to pull himself and his best friend. They were then getting the upper hand as the creature was then losing more of it's grip.
"It's working Sprig, just a little bit more" said Anne.
"Okay, here we go. 1,2,3" replied Sprig.
Sprig then quickly wrapped both his legs round Anne's wrist's very tight and pulled with all his might, Sprig was grunting and grunting but he was never going to give up or let go and kept going. This was going for 30 seconds as then Sprig was losing his grip as his ankles were slowly sliding out from Anne.
Inch by inch Anne was slipping down Sprig's feet, then clinged onto his toes for dear life. After whoever was attacking the creature delivered a final blow to it and then it was knocked back completely into the hole in the ground but not before fully releasing it's grip on Anne and then Sprig pulled his best friend to safety and they landed on the ground.
"You okay Anne?" asked Sprig in worry.
"Just barely, thank's Sprig" replied Anne.
Then the shadow then landed infront of the duo and revealed itself and it was someone they never expect, it was none other then Sprig's love interest and future girlfriend Ivy Sundew. The pair was in stunned disbelief as this was certainly a shock to them.
"Hey guy's" said Ivy.
"Hey Ivy, thank's for the assist back their" said Sprig snapping out of the shock.
"No problem, I love action. So I thought i'd wait for the right time to ambush, and it worked" said Ivy.
Ivy then offered a hand to Sprig helping him up to his feet, then they went over to Anne and helped her up as well, Ivy then gave a kiss on Sprig's cheek and then he was blusing as Sprig was truely in love with her. Anne then noticed this and smiled as what she was seeing truely was love at first sight.
"Well it was good seeing you Sprig, but I have to get home now. I'll see you later" said Ivy then heading back to the valley.
"See you later Ivy" said Sprig and Anne waving her off.
After she was gone the duo then decided to do the same and headed back to their home as well, it was early evening by the time they got back properly much to Hop Pop not fully knowing what was going on. Just as they were settling back in the house Anne then felt a sharp pain in her leg and collasped to one, Sprig then saw this and rushed to her in worry.
"Anne, are you okay?" asked Sprig in concern.
"Not really, I think after that encounter with the giant bug must have really hurt me" replied Anne.
"Here Anne, I'll help you" said Sprig offering his assitant's.
She then looked at her best buddy and smiled at him as he gave one back, Sprig then put her arm over him onto his shoulder and helped Anne up and let her lean on him for support and helped Anne upto his room. When they slowly got their Sprig then gently let Anne down lying on her back, Sprig then got on his knees and stayed by her side.
"Don't worry Anne, i'm here. And i'll take care of you, just tell me what to do or what you need" said Sprig.
"Thanks dude, really mean it" replied Anne.
Sprig then put a hand on her face and slowly rubbed it up and down then left and right, he really cared for his best friend cause Anne knew Sprig would do anything to protect and keep her safe no matter what.
"Hey Sprig, do you mind if I stay with you tonight?" asked Anne.
"Of course Anne, anything" replied Sprig smiling.
Back downstairs Hop Pop was then finishing clearing up the house after Polly got dirty in the mud and marked it everywhere, he was knackered from just one pollywog causing such a big mess. Then he wondered where Anne and Sprig were and he then went to check upstairs to his grandson's room. As he opened the door what Hop Pop saw made him happy, it was Sprig taking care of Anne but he had to ask.
"Hey you two, where have you been?" asked Hop Pop.
"Trust me HP, you properly don't want to know" said Anne.
"Yeah, let's just say it was not exactly thriling" said Sprig.
Hop Pop then didn't take it further and just left it at that, he then told his grandson that looking after Anne was now his responsibility. Sprig couldn't believe it when his grandfather gave him that, it really meant a lot to him knowing he proved himself even though Hop Pop didn't know what went down.
"Wow Hop Pop, thank you" said Sprig.
"Sure thing, don't let me down" replied Hop Pop.
Sprig gave a nod of agreement and then left the two alone but told them he'll check on them in the morning, Sprig and Anne then looked at each other and the pink frog gave a hug to Anne and she returned one back.
"Thanks again for saving me Sprig" said Anne.
"Anytime Anne, you just give me the word and I'll be their right away" replied Sprig.
Then it was late at night as the two then got ready for bed which also gave Anne the whole night to rest and recover her leg from what happened tonight, Sprig wanted to keep his friend close so he laid next to Anne on the opposite side of where she was.
"I'll keep you company Anne, I'll be here next to you" said Sprig.
"Thank you Sprig, hey wanna cuddle up?" asked Anne.
"I would like that Anne" said Sprig.
Sprig was then right next to Anne and he snuggled upto his friend, and the two drifted off to sleep hoping for a better next day in the morning, same with Hop Pop and Polly as they too were then fast asleep. Then it was early sunrise the next day as Sprig was the first to wake up, but he didn't want to wake Anne just yet so he tip-toed to the outside to the main front door of the house and breathed in and out for what this day will bring.
Hop Pop and Polly were the next to wake up and get ready for another day of possible work on the farm, then Sprig went back into the house and then saw his grandfather and little pollywog sister already in the kitchen as he then entered.
"Good morning Sprig" said Hop Pop.
"Morning" Sprig replied.
"Where's Anne?" asked Polly.
"Oh she's still asleep, I didn't want to wake her after what she went through last night. So I let her sleep for a little bit longer" said Sprig.
"Well can you go and gently get her up?" said Hop Pop.
Sprig then nodded as he went back up to his room and he opened the door and saw his best friend then sleeping on her side, he slowly went to her side and got on his knees and gently shook her shoulder.
"Anne, wake up" said Sprig quietly.
She then laid back on her back and then slowly opened her eyes and looked to her left and saw her little buddy Sprig by her side, he gave a smile as he very slowly stroked her forehead. Anne was very lucky to have a close friend like Sprig taking care of her.
"Hey sleepy head" said Sprig.
"Hey dude, did you sleep well?" asked Anne then sitting up.
"Yeah, i'm glad you're feeling a bit better today" said Sprig.
Sprig then wrapped his arms round and gave Anne a gentle hug cause he didn't want to hurt his friend after the aftermath of last night, Anne returned the embrace and then the two pulled away from each other. Anne was still hurting a little bit, but not too bad than before. Sprig again offered his help.
"You want me to help you up?" said Sprig then smiling.
Anne smiled and gave a nod to her best friend and Sprig then offered a helping hand to her, Anne then took his wrist and Sprig then pulled her up to her standing posistion. Sprig then went next to Anne and put her arm over him like he did before and slowly they made their way downstairs and then entered the kitchen where Hop Pop and Polly were waiting for them.
"Hey their you two, Anne you feeling okay?" asked Hop Pop.
"A bit better HP, at least better than 24 hours ago" replied Anne.
Then after the kids finished up their breakfast then they began to harvest for the farm, Hop Pop told Anne to take it a bit easy as she was still not completely 100% yet. It was truly hard work like it it every day on their farm, but then 15 minutes later they finished and took a break.
"Man that was building up a sweat" said Sprig.
"Not me cause i'm a pollywog, I can hardly do that till i'm a bit more older and grow like Sprig" replied Polly.
Anne was then feeling a bit more better after a bit of active work and it was a good thing for the Plantar's much to their relief for now, Sprig then asked Hop Pop if he and Anne can go into town for a little while.
"That's fine, but as long as you still within the valley then yes" said Hop Pop.
"Thanks HP" replied Anne.
Sprig and Anne then went into town and explored what new oppotunities will present them, they went seperately but not too far apart. Sprig was thinking about getting something for Ivy after she saved them from the night before, while Anne explored around the buildings and food shops.
"Man, glad to see nothing changes in good old Wartwood" said Anne.
But then just when Anne was gettting back to her old self, the pain in her leg then suddenly returned and she was starting to feel unsteady. Anne was then having to lean on stuff to stay upright, but her energy was zapped like she was in a real fight. Moment's after Anne then collapsed and passed out cold.
Meanwhile Sprig was completely not aware what has happened as he was busy getting a thank you gift for his love interest Ivy, then it dawned on the pink frog as he then started to look for Anne. Sprig then looked all across the valley and was really starting to get concerned and was panicking.
"Anne, where are you?" asked Sprig.
After a couple of more minutes searching for his best friend he then saw a figure in his sight, and once he got a bit closer to see what it was his expression went from worry to scared. Cause the figure was Anne unconcious on the ground, Sprig was horrified and ran to her side and was on his knees as he gently turned her on her back.
"Anne, can you hear me?" said Sprig cried. "Please speak to me".
Sprig tried shaking her but no response, then he looked around to see if they was any help nearby, but no-one was close around the area for him to call. Sprig really went into a panic thinking what he can do to help his best friend. But suddenly his sparring buddy Ivy appeared at the right time which was a saving grace.
"Ivy, help me over here!" Sprig yelled.
She heard his cry for help and sprinted over to where his voice was coming from, once Ivy found where he was in the field and then was finally next to Sprig who was really upset and didn't know what else to do. Once she saw that is was Anne passed out and not moving, Ivy was really worried as well cause they got on really well for a long time. She got on her knees and was at Anne's other side like Sprig was to her left.
"What happened?" asked Ivy.
"I don't know, I left Anne for a few minutes. But then I found her like this" replied Sprig.
Ivy had to think fast cause her close sparring friend Sprig was really emotional and tear's started to form in his eyes cause he really loved and cared for Anne, she felt the same thing he was feeling. Ivy tried giving Anne a gentle shake but still no response, she put the side of her head onto Anne's chest to feel her heart beating, but it was very faint. Ivy then had an idea that could save Anne's life, she took her head off and looked at Sprig.
"It's okay Sprig, calm down. Have you tried something called CPR?" said Ivy.
"No not really, how do you do it?" replied Sprig then calming down.
"I'll talk you through it, but you'll have to follow what I say" said Ivy.
Sprig then nodded as he then prepared to do something he has hardly done before, but he was willing to anything to save his bestie. After Ivy taught him everything he had to do in order, Sprig then got ready.
"You can do it" said Ivy.
Sprig then took a deep breath and began doing his first CPR, he put both his hand's together and pressed up and down on her chest for 15 second's. But Anne hardly was responsive at that point, Sprig then took her wrist to feel a pulse, luckily their was but it was faint. Then he placed his right hand on her forehead and his left hand on her upper chest.
"I'm not losing you Anne, I promise" said Sprig.
Then he closed his eyes and put his mouth over her's and gave mouth to mouth breathing oxygen into her lungs to try and get Anne breathing again, Sprig pulled away for a few second's and took another deep breath and repeated what he just did. Then a coughing sound was heard as Sprig then backed up a bit as Anne was coming back to and slowly opened her eyes.
"Anne!" said Sprig hugging her with tear's streaming down his face.
"Hey Sprig, hey Ivy. What happened?" asked Anne gaining her bearing's back.
"You were unconcious and out cold, if Sprig and I hadn't found you and he did what he did, you properly wouldn't have made it" Ivy explained.
Sprig was still hugging his best friend and was still crying knowing he almost lost Anne, she then patted him on the back and gently rubbed his back in a circle. Ivy was also calming him down but after that horrifying experince, they couldn't blame him for being upset.
"I'm so sorry Anne, I shouldn't have left you by yourself" said Sprig choking in sadness.
"It's okay dude, as long as I'm still here I won't leave you" replied Anne returning the embrace.
Sprig really felt he let Anne down when he promised he'd always be next to her and was still upset and crying, Anne and Ivy did their best to calm him down. Ivy then joined in the hug as Anne was embracing the two frogs, Ivy was rubbing Sprig's back while Anne was stroking his head.
"It's okay Sprig, please don't cry" said Ivy.
"Come on dude, please stay strong. For me" said Anne.
Ivy and Anne really felt for him cause Sprig was so close to them and continued to keep him calm, Sprig then looked up at Anne who was very thankful for him saving her life once again. He then was starting to feel a little better and wiped some of his tear's away.
"Thank you Sprig, you're really my saviour" said Anne.
"Really?" asked Sprig.
"Absolutely, you've always been their at the right time when I needed you. I'm very lucky to still be here and it's thank's to you, so you didn't let me down" replied Anne.
That really meant a lot to Sprig coming from his best friend to say that he was truly responsible for her, and he started to smile a bit and was a little bit more happy. He turned to Ivy and she nodded and agreed with what Anne just said, he looked back at her and gave her another hug.
"Oh Anne, thank you for making be feel better" said Sprig.
"Anytime dude, i'll be here if you need someone else to talk too" replied Anne. "And thank you as well Ivy, for being around when you was".
"Sure thing, us girl's have to stay together" said Ivy.
Once Sprig was a bit more calmer he backed up to give Anne a bit more space, then pulled her upright with Ivy helping out. Anne then was leaning on Sprig and Ivy to keep her balance at that point, they slowly made their way back into the main valley of Wartwood. Once back Sprig and Ivy helped their friend down as Anne sat on a bench.
"Thanks guys, you've really been a help" said Anne.
"No problem Anne" replied Sprig and Ivy together.
Then later into early evening Anne and Sprig carefully got back to the Plantar home, Anne was taking her time so that she doesn't have another repeat of what happened today. Sprig was right next to her keeping an eye on his best friend. Then Hop Pop entered the living room.
"Well their you two are, how was the stroll Anne?" asked Hop Pop.
"Believe me HP, properly best not to go into too much. But let's just say it wasn't a bright one" replied Anne.
Hop Pop then looked worried and concerned for her thinking to himself maybe he should've been with them, but he gave that responsibility to Sprig and just left it at that. Anne was then helped by her best buddy Sprig and helped her upstairs and into his room.
"Oh man, it has been a awful past 24 hour's to say the least" said Anne.
"I agree Anne, I think for now we better stay out of adventure's for a little while" replied Sprig.
The duo then was getting ready for bed but Anne lost her comic down the side and went to retrieve it, while Sprig was setting up his little hammock. Once Anne then got the comic she slowly started to crawl back out from underneath, but as Anne was halfway out she suddenly came to a halt.
"What, are you kidding me" said Anne to herself quietly.
She tried to keep going but was going nowhere fast and was really starting to freak, this really has not been her day. Sprig then heard her slightly and turned around and saw Anne was under the bed not quite knowing of her situation, he walked over to her and then was infront.
"Anne, are you okay?" asked Sprig.
"Well not exactly okay dude, i'm in a bit of a tight spot" Anne explained.
"You're stuck?" said Sprig.
Anne gave a nod of agreement and tried to get out again to show him, Sprig then knew that Anne was not kidding and had to help her like he promised. Sprig then got on his knees almost to her level and gave his hands to her.
"Here Anne, I'll pull you out" said Sprig.
"Okay, let's hope you're strong enough" replied Anne.
She gave her hands to her buddy and Sprig grabbed her wrist's tight and got ready, Anne counted him to three and Sprig began pulling back and as hard as he can tug. Sprig shut his eyes and gritted his teeth and continued to pull Anne. His knees then slid forward an inch and then another but no movement was felt.
"Man you really are stuck Anne, don't worry. I'll try something else" said Sprig.
Sprig then got into a sitting position and then planted his left barefoot on the side for leverage, then he began tugging again hoping this one will work. This was not easy at all considering Anne is not that heavy. Sprig pulled and pulled but only suceeded in getting Anne out another inch then halted once more, Sprig then planted his right foot on and now had both bare feet on the side and tugged once again leaning back with all of his weight.
"Hang on Anne, I won't let go" said Sprig.
Sprig then only had his toes planted but kept trying to free his best friend, but he doesn't have the strength to pull any harder cause of his size. All Anne can do was just hold Sprig's arms while he continue's to help. But after another minute Sprig's hands were beginning to lose their grip.
"This is not going to work Sprig" said Anne.
"You maybe right, but I'll give one big pull" replied Sprig.
Sprig mustered some energy back and yanked Anne's wrist's with everything he had, Sprig has his feet still planted but is was not working in the matter. After another few moment's nothing happened and Sprig then lost his grip of his hands and then landed on his back.
"No good their, what else can you try dude?" asked Anne.
"Well their is one other part of me that I can try with, want me to try with my feet?" replied Sprig.
"Anything's worth a shot at this point" said Anne.
Sprig then gave a nod of approval and gathered himself and gained most of his energy back, as he then sat up and took a few deep breath's and then turned over onto his stomach and placed his legs infront of his friend.
"Here you go Anne, grab my feet and hold on. Let's hope they'll be strong enough" said Sprig.
Anne then did not waste time and took grip of Sprig's ankles and held him good, she then tapped his right foot signalling for Sprig to go. He straight away heaved forward while trying to get some leverage on his stomach to move. Sprig was not going to stop till Anne was free of her problem and dug in deep and then wrapped both his ankle's and feet round Anne's wrist's tighter and pulled with all his might.
"Keep heaving Sprig" said Anne.
"I will, don't let go" replied Sprig.
Sprig was then able to grab a bar of his hammock with his hand's to get some momentum to pull himself along with Anne who was holding onto his heel's and sole's as well as her buddy Sprig hooked his two toes under her arm for an extra grip and strength and tugged yet again, Sprig reshut his eye's and gritted his teeth and grunted. Anne then really slid forward this time by a few inches and progress was made.
"I moved Sprig, it's working" said Anne.
"Alright, I'll keep going with this. Hang onto my feet a bit longer" replied Sprig.
Anne then knew she was moment's from being pulled free by her best buddy as long as she can keep hold of Sprig's ankles, but his feet were then getting a bit slippy and her hand's suddenly was sliding down inch by inch from his sole's. Sprig turned to see that he was losing grip and gasped, he quickly slid his bare feet back into full tight grip and rehooked his toes and then heaved this time with force.
"Go Sprig, yank me out" said Anne.
"You bet, here we go" replied Sprig.
Anne held his ankles, heel's and sole's really tight and Sprig did the same with his toes and leg's and pulled with such strength, Anne was moving more and her waist was out but her lower part was still caught, but that wasn't going to stop Sprig from pulling Anne free with his feet and yanked again. But he was doing it too hard this time and his leg's were slipping militres off Anne.
"Almost their dude, one big pull will do it" said Anne.
"Okay, and a 1, and a 2, and a 3" said Sprig.
Sprig tugged with ever such strength as his feet then began to slip from his friend, Anne was then clinging onto his toes. Then after another few more moment's Sprig finally pulled Anne free and both landed on their stomach's, Anne was still holding Sprig's bare feet despite already being dislodged from under the bed.
"Thank's Sprig, you've really been a help to me today. And thank you for getting me out" said Anne.
"No problem Anne, I'm just you're safe back with me. And luckily I was just barely strong enough to free you" replied Sprig.
Anne then let go of Sprig's feet, then once the duo gathered themselves after that tight problem, Ivy then appeared out of nowhere through Sprig's bedroom window and surprised the duo. They were a bit confused on what she was doing in their home, so they had to ask her why.
"Ivy, what are you doing here?" asked Sprig.
"Well you two haven't noticed that after what happened earlier today, I talked to my Mum and asked her if it's okay to help you watch over Anne" said Ivy.
"Really?" said Anne still a bit confused.
"Absolutely, and she's okay with it. Plus you and I can get to know each other more Anne, and maybe all three of us can hang together more" said Ivy.
Once Sprig and Anne heard with Ivy just explained they couldn't really argue with it, they looked at each other and then smiled at one another, then turned to Ivy and bothe gave a nod of their approval. Ivy was then really excited like she was now part of their family, and gave Sprig and Anne an embrace and then pulled away.
"Oh and one other thing, I also asked my Mum if I could have a sleepover with you guys. If you're down with that?" asked Ivy.
"You bet we are" replied Sprig and Anne together.
Hop Pop then arrived back in to check on Anne making sure she's okay, but then he saw Ivy Sundew with them and he gave a secretive smile at her and Ivy returned it back. Sprig and Anne then noticed it and had to ask Hop Pop the question.
"Wait a minute, Hop Pop. You were in on this?" asked Sprig.
"You bet I was, I thought I could use this so Ivy can get to know Anne more at the same time. From one girl to another" explained Hop Pop.
Anne was really touched and surprised that Hop Pop would do that for her getting to know someone else who is so close to Sprig, she went to him and gave him a hug. Hop Pop returned the hug and rubbed her back and smiled. Then something was on her mind and she wanted the whole family together for this.
"Hop Pop, can you get Polly? I need to ask you guy's something important" said Anne.
"Sure Anne, let's go to the living room" replied Hop Pop.
"Can Ivy come with as well?" asked Sprig.
Hop Pop nodded yes to his grandson and brought Ivy with him as they all headed downstairs and everyone was on the couch, once they were all gathered Anne then was ready to make an annoucement. They were all curious to what she was going to say.
"Guys, I've actually been thinking. Over the course of everything that's happened since day one I've been here, and you guy's have done so much for me. You took me into your home, you've cared for me, and among other thing's. And I'm so greatful for every single bit of it, and I've come to a realisation" said Anne.
"What's that Anne?" asked Hop Pop.
"I was actually giving this a lot of thought and I was waiting for the right time to say this, but I don't want to return to my world. I wanna stay right here in Wartwood and with you guys" said Anne.
Everyone was then in complete shock what Anne just said, they looked at each other and Sprig looked like he was about to cry. They never thought that would come out of Anne's mouth, but she was serious about the matter.
"Anne, are you saying what I think you're saying?" said Sprig.
"That's right Sprig. Guys, I want you to adopt me" replied Anne.
Hop Pop, Sprig, Polly and Ivy were then at a complete lost for words and didn't know what to say after that. Hop Pop then got off the couch and approached Anne who knelt down to his level. Hop Pop's eyes were then starting to tear up.
"Anne, are you sure you want to leave everything behind in your world?" asked Hop Pop.
"You bet I am, I've never wanted anything else other than this" replied Anne.
"Please Hop Pop, Anne want's to have a new life with us. Please?" asked Polly.
Sprig then stood next to his grandfather and looked at his best friend, he's been so close to Anne since the day they meet. Then Sprig turned to Hop Pop and said the same thing Polly did. Hop Pop then couldn't hold it in anymore and tear's starting to slid down his face and made his decision.
"Oh yes Anne, of course we'll adopt you" said Hop Pop giving her a hug as well.
Everyone then was over the moon and were also crying as well as Ivy who all joined in on the hug, Sprig was so emotional that his best friend was going to live with them now forever. The whole family was so happy that Anne was not going to leave them at all.
"Anne, I'm so glad you're living with us permantely. Now we can have all the time together now" said Sprig with tear's in his eyes and down his face.
"I couldn't have asked for anything less guys, can't wait to have a new proper leash on life" replied Anne.
"Well Anne, that would now make you my offical adopted granddaughter, Sprig and Polly will now be your brother and sister" said Hop Pop. "We'll make it offical first thing tomorrow".
Everyone gathered for a true family hug and even Ivy joined in, they were so happy and crying with tear's of happiness and joy knowing that Anne is going to be one of them. Once they pulled away from each other Hop Pop told Anne to go with Sprig and Ivy back upto his room and enjoy the rest of the sleepover.
"See you kids in the morning" said Hop Pop.
"Goodnight Hop Pop" said Anne, Sprig and Ivy.
As Hop Pop then went off into his room getting ready to call it a night, Anne, Sprig and Ivy all went into Sprig's room where he was still in tears and they were joy and happiness. Ivy was so happy for them as well and she got to be part of that special moment.
"Anne, you've made me the happiest frog of Wartwood. We're going to be blood to each other as of tomorrow" said Sprig hugging Anne.
"So am I Sprig, now we get to have more adventure's. And have a lot more time together now" replied Anne.
"Guy's, you absolutely deserve it. And I got to be part of it, which i'm really over the moon" said Ivy.
Once the trio then pulled away from hugging each other they got ready to watch a movie on Anne's phone, this is also a first for Ivy but she's always up for something new. They sat next to each other with Sprig and Ivy cuddling up with Anne and she did the same with the frog kids. Sprig was nuzzling his face on his soon to be new human sister Anne, and she kept him close. After it was over the three then dozed off and can't wait for tomorrow.
It was the next morning and Sprig and Ivy were the first to wake up strecthing their arm's out and letting out a yawn, they turned to Anne who was still sleeping smiling after the exicting news last night. The two kids looked at each other and then Sprig and Ivy each went to a side of Anne and very gently shook her shoulder.
"Anne, wake up" said Sprig in a soft voice.
"Wakey Wakey Anne" said Ivy.
Then she did awake and rubbed her eyes and opened them and Sprig and Ivy were each by her side smiling knowing the time has come, Sprig could not contain his happy energy knowing that Anne is soon to be a official Plantar very soon. Hop Pop then entered the room with Polly and the kids were then hugging Anne.
"Aw, you three. Well Anne, are you ready to become one of us?" asked Hop Pop.
"You bet I am, let's do it everyone" replied Anne.
Sprig was so giddy and tried to keep all that energy until afterwards, Ivy was happy as well that she's going to be a family friend to Anne as well. Once everyone had breakfast and finished up, they gathered together and headed to Mayor Toadstool's office. Once they got their they knocked on the front door and the Mayor answered and the family was right their.
"Well if it isn't the Plantar's, what can I do for you today?" asked Mayor Toadstool.
"Mayor, we want to adopt Anne" replied Hop Pop.
"Well I never thought I'd see the day, but only if it's what Anne really wants" said Mayor Toadstool.
"Of course, I want this more than anything in the world" replied Anne.
After hearing what Anne just said, the Mayor then led the family into his office to fill in the adoption form which was now only moment's away from taking place. Hop Pop was so happy and inside he was crying with happiness, same with Sprig and Ivy who have grown so close to Anne. Now they can have all the time in the world to play together and have more adventures. Once everyone was inside Mayor Toadstool took out a form from the desk and gave to Anne to have a final check through.
"Anne, by giving me your full permission, do you agree to make this official?" asked Mayor Toadstool.
"100%, without any doubt. Their's nothing for me to go back to, my new life is right here in Wartwood with the Plantar's. And you guys have treated me really like I was one of your own in such short time, now we get to have all the time together. Mayor, let's do it" said Anne.
Sprig, Ivy, Hop Pop and Polly were about to shed tear's and cuddled upto Anne and didn't let go, then after she looked through every detail of the form gave it back to Mayor Toadstool. He then took out a feather pen and gave it to Anne to sign first, and Mayor Toadstool did the same and said what everyone has been waiting to hear.
"After signing this adoption by me Mayor Toastool with your approval Anne, you are now officially a Plantar and new member to their family. Congratulations" said Mayor Toadstool shaking Anne's hand.
Anne nodded and thanked him and now she is now related to Hop Pop as her granddaughter, Sprig her brother and Polly as her sister, and Ivy a family friend. Sprig couldn't hold it in much longer and then was jumping up and down, it was the happiess day of the family's lives.
"Well their we have it Anne, you're now blood to us now" said Polly.
"You're Anne Plantar now" said Sprig beaming and smiling.
"Now Sprig, you and I can hang out anytime we want. This is so awesome" said Ivy.
Then Anne was starting to get emotional after becoming one of the family officially, she thought about all those horrible time's she had back in her world before. But now she can put it all behind her and have a new start. Then she started to get upset, the Plantar's saw how much this mean's to her.
"Hey Anne, you okay?" asked Hop Pop with concern.
"Anne, what's the matter. Why are you sad?" said Sprig in a compassionate voice.
It was really surreal for Anne and at the same time still very emotional as she tried to hold it back, but she couldn't and she broke down. The sadness and happiness took over her and she let it out after all she had gone through previously.
"Hey, Anne please don't be upset. Come here" said Sprig with open arms.
Anne went to her now frog brother and just hugged while letting tear's out of her eyes, Sprig wrapped his arm's round her back and just tried to keep her calm. He rubbed her back up and down and then in a circle. Sprig really felt for Anne and showed his compassion while trying not to cry himself, Hop Pop, Ivy and Polly had the same symphany for Anne as they too were trying to hold back the sadness and stay strong.
"Shh, it's gonna be okay. I'll never let you go and I'm not going anywhere Anne, I promise" said Sprig nuzzling his face into her's and then giving her a brotherly kiss.
Hop Pop, Polly and Ivy joined in the hug to give her more comfort cause this was such a emotional moment for the girl, once Anne was more calm everyone pulled away and she was then a bit more calm and wiped the tear's away.
"Sorry guys, it was just a overwhelming and surreal" said Anne.
"It's okay Anne, it was good you let it out. But don't you worry, cause you've got us now" replied Hop Pop.
"And plus I now have another sister now, and I'm not the only one anymore" said Polly.
"Thanks everyone, i'm fine now" said Anne.
Once everything was then more settled and calm, the entire family then was standing side by side as one. Anne one more time shook Mayor Toadstool's hand for making this all happen, he said to them have a good day and everyone left, Ivy said goodbye to the Plantar's and headed back to her teahome shop. Sprig was holding Anne's hand while making their way back to their home. Once they were all inside they sat on the couch and recall the best moment that just happened.
"Well Anne, not only did you get your wish, but we got the exact same as well. We're so proud" said Hop Pop.
"I cannot wait to have many more adventure's as well with you now, i'm so happy" said Sprig.
"Now I won't have to worry about my brother bothering the heck out of me a lot, you can take some of that off me now Anne. In a good way" said Polly.
"Again guys, thank you so much for letting me be offically in your lives. I will never forget this day" replied Anne.
Hop Pop, Sprig, Polly and Anne all gathered for one more embrace as one happy family and know that they now have a bright future with Anne with them. It was truly a strong end to what was a first terrible few days, but the Plantar's wouldn't change anything less. They all gathered while Anne stuck a movie on her phone, truly was a day that was special and one they will never forget.
