Beginning

His claws dug into the dirt as he kept pace with his latest kill. It was a Burnblitz Lizard. These things were scrawny, covered in feathers and scales but still edible and had enough meat on their bones to keep Tatsurion going. 3 of them might suffice he thought. These creatures hang in herds of at least 30 or so. Maybe it was due to them not being considered good enough to hunt, no less eat. But he had to catch something for the night.

He couldn't just waltz into Blastforge City to get something to eat. Being a fugitive, and having a bounty on his head, no doubt someone would take advantage to grab him and take him in. In the fire civilization, everybody wants something. And he wants to eat. The Burnblitz Lizard squeaked when he was closing in. He roared to scare a few of them and hopefully disoriented.

The creature tripped on a rock and lost its footing. Tatsurion waited for that chance and took it. He rushed forward and grabbed it. Sinking his teeth into the animal's midsection and proceeded to crush its ribs till it stopped screaming. He could taste the metal flavor in the creature's blood on his tongue and feel it drip down his chin, 2 more to go.

First day of going to his knew school. He was excited sure, but he was also nervous. He didn't know how this was going to go. "Ok, Ray, first day. You can do this." As he started walking to the bus stop he was assigned to he noticed a group of boys, standing around chatting with one another.

One of them wore a light blue polo shirt and khaki shorts with high top shoes. The boy's blonde hair pulled up in some kind of mullet type haircut. The other wore a baggy sweater and jeans with his hat sloping down his head. The other had a bowl cut and wore a light brown shirt.

They were slightly taller and bigger than Raiden but he didn't seem to mind. He kept his distance and stared out to the road. "Check out the new kid," one of them snickered.

Ray kept his head in the direction of the street waiting for the bus to show so he can get on and get on with it all. He felt something thrown at him with a metal pang. He looked down to see a soda can that was crushed. He can hear them laughing and the blonde haired boy said in a mocking tone "Whoops, my bad. Trying to hit the trash can."

Ray narrowed his eyes. There was no trash can. He did that to mock him. As much as he wanted to say something and tell them off but he promised his mom and grandpa that he won't get involved in fighting. And it was his first day, no need to get in trouble on the first day.

Ignore it and they'll back off. Yet he can hear them laughing about how particularly different he looked. Down from his hair and his facial features. He was mixed race, sure but he was proud of it. And they can't say anything about it. No matter how hard they try.

He felt something thrown at him again and noticed an empty coffee cup. Great start to my first day.
