Sixteen years ago
Shota Aizawa sat in his bathroom with his knees pulled up to his chest. He'd set a timer on his phone closing his eyes and leaning his head against the wall.
"Stupid, Stupid…I'm such an idiot."
Hizashi Yamada had asked to court Shota a few months ago and they couldn't have been happier. Until Hizashi was being typical Hizashi and forgot that his rut was coming.
Shota was brought from his thoughts as the timer went off. He was hoping he was just paranoid and that this would all be over soon.
However, luck was not on his side seeing as he looked at the positive male omega pregnancy test. He stared at it for a while until his mom's voice rang through his head.
"Shota! I'm home!"
He wiped his eyes and put the test in his pocket as he walked out to greet her.
"Hey, sweetie." She said smiling at him before seeing his face. "What's wrong? Did you and Hizashi have a fight?"
He sniffled and shook his head looking at his feet before taking out the test and handing it to her. "'Zashi and I…we did something stupid."
She looked at him before looking down at the test. She went between the two for a minute before she spoke. "Shota…when?"
"Two months ago. I thought we were careful, I made sure we used protection it only happened once. He forgot about his rut and by the time we knew what was happening it was too late." He said as he moved to sit down wrapping his arms around himself. "I don't know what to do."
His mom set the test down before sitting next to him and wrapping his arms around him gently. "Shh, shh…it'll all be okay we'll figure this out."
"I'm not going to get rid of the baby, but I can't take care of a pup and neither can Hizashi." Shota said leaning into his mother's embrace.
She let out a calming scent to try and calm her anxious son. "Have you told anyone else about this?"
"No, and I'm not going to the more people that know the harder it's gonna be." He said sitting up a little.
"You haven't even talked to him about it?"
"I can't, he'll just try and get me to keep the baby and I can't do that. We both have school, you're working, and I don't even want to think of this child in the hands of Hizashi's parents." He said rambling listing off everything.
"Shota, I know you're worried, but have you thought this through?" She asked wanting to be sure he wasn't making a rash decision.
"As much as I want this child and to have a family with Hizashi we can't give this kid the life it deserves. This will ruin all his plans for the future, and I can't let that happen. It's best if I give the baby up for adoption."
Rini looked at her son and sighed before she stood in front of him. "Okay, I'll stand by you if that's what you want. You won't be able to hide it much longer though."
"I don't think anyone's noticed a change in my scent or anything if I'm already two months in that means I only have about two months left. So, I can just go visit some family or something until the baby's born." He said rambling again.
"You could stay with your cousins, I'm sure they'd help you and they'd love to visit with you. Although you'll have to go soon before people start to notice if this is what you really want."
"I know, I changed my body soap a little while ago, so I think they thought that was the reason for it." He said as he started fidgeting with his hands.
"Alright, I'll call your uncle and see when you can head over there. You should start packing and figure out how you're going to tell Hizashi." She said cupping his face.
She smiled at him and kissed his forehead holding him close. "I love you Shota, never forget that."
He smiled and hugged back nuzzling her gently. "I love you too mom, thank you."
They pulled back and Shota went to pack as he figured out a plan to tell Hizashi. He decided to meet up with him at a cat café they both liked to go to.
On his way there he saw a set of necklaces that reminded him of him and Hizashi. He smiled before asking the store owner how much they were. They weren't that expensive, so he got all three of them.
One had a pair of headphones while the other had a cat on it and the third one had both. He smiled and pocketed one as he slipped the other over his head as he went to go meet Hizashi.
He got their usual table and fiddled with the necklace in his hands before Hizashi walked in and smiled at him kissing his cheek. "Hey, baby, what's up?"
Shota smiled as he placed himself in the corner of the booth with Hizashi sitting next to him. "I wanted to give you something." He said holding out his hand.
"Did I miss something?" Hizashi asked worried.
"We've only been together three months you're fine, I just wanted to give you something special." He said as he unfurled his hand showing him the necklace with the cat on it.
Hizashi looked at it and smiled as he held it gently in his hands. "Sho, it's beautiful." He said smiling at him as he placed a soft kiss on his lips.
"I saw it on the way here and it made me think of you. I have a matching one." He said showing him the one with the headphones keeping the other hidden in his pocket.
"As much as I love this, because I do, this can't be the only reason you wanted to meet up." He said turning to look at him after he made sure the necklace was on.
"You know me too well." He said nudging him lightly as he brought his knees up fidgeting with his hands. "I'm going on vacation."
"Oh really? You and your mom going somewhere?"
"No mom's gotta work. I'm going to visit my uncle and cousins in America." He said prolonging the inevitable.
"I didn't know you had family in America." Hizashi said taking a sip of his drink.
"They're on my mom's side we haven't talked to them much because he didn't like them." Shota said frowning.
"I haven't seen them in years, that's why I'm going to visit them. Plus, mom thinks it'll be good for me to go before school starts back up."
"How long are you going for?"
"Two months." Shota said quietly and tried not to laugh as Hizashi choked on his drink.
"WHA-" he started to shout before Aizawa erased his quirk.
"Easy 'Zashi." He said releasing his quirk his hair going back to normal.
"Sorry, I just I wasn't expecting…that." He said clearing his throat as he looked at him. "So, are you…?" He asked trailing off.
"What? If you're asking if we're breaking up the answers no. I'm just going to spend some time with family. I'll call you every chance I get." Aizawa said taking hold of his hand. He went to say more before he got nauseous. "Move."
"What?"
"I said move." He said pushing him lightly as Hizashi got up he ran to the bathroom going in a stall.
Hizashi ran after him rubbing his back and holding his hair. "Hey, you okay?"
"Fine, I think I just ate something bad." He said wiping his mouth and flushing the toilet. "I should go home; I'm leaving the day after tomorrow."
"Why so soon?" Hizashi asked pouting as he crossed his arms watching Shota wash his hands.
"The sooner I go the sooner I come back. Besides the flights really long anyway and there's time change and everything." He said drying his hands.
"Alright, I see your point. Can I walk you home? I want to spend every moment I can with you if you're not gonna be here for two months."
Shota smiled at him and nodded. "Yeah you can, I'd like that." He said taking his hand as they walked out paying for their drinks before walking to Shota's place.
They hung out for a while and Rini invited Hizashi to stay for dinner which he did. He also stayed the night after clearing it with his parents.
The next day found Shota packing while on video chat with his cousin Chris who was his age while Hizashi was being clingy. Aizawa's flight was to take off the next morning at three.
He sighed as he stared at his ceiling not being able to get sleep. Finally, after what felt like forever his mom came in to wake them up so they could head to the airport.
They said their goodbyes and Shota promised he'd call them as soon as he landed. With tears in his eyes he went to his gate and sat on the plane reading a book.
Hizashi and Rini left she took Hizashi home so he could get some sleep smiling at him and telling him that Shota would be back before they knew it.
One month and two weeks later
Shota was laying on the couch with his feet in his cousins lap as they were watching some random T.V. show he didn't quite understand.
Shota hissed lightly rubbing his stomach and frowning. "Can you just be calm for once?" he mumbled as his cousin chuckled.
He hissed again as he sat up with the help of his cousin. At first being around his cousin made him nauseous but he got used to it. He figured it was due to the fact that he was an alpha and that he wasn't his alpha.
"You okay, Shota?" Chris asked getting worried.
"I think so." Shota said taking deep breaths as he leaned back before he felt his pants get wet. "On Second thought it looks like he's coming early."
"Oh shit, uh… I'll call dad." Chris said getting up and running to get his phone. "Don't go anywhere."
"Where the fuck would I go?" Shota growled looking after his cousin who came back to help him up.
"Yeah, dad Shota's having the kid. I'm taking him to the hospital now, we'll see you there."
Shota's labor took three hours and they kept him in the hospital for a day to make sure him and the baby were okay. He only gave the baby two things his name and the necklace he'd picked out months ago.
After the doctor cleared them they released him from the hospital and sent him on his way. He knew it was gonna be hard, but he didn't think it was gonna be this hard.
He sat in the back seat looking out the window as silent tears trailed down his cheeks. He called his mom after he calmed down a bit and told her that he'd be coming home earlier than he thought.
He sighed and laid in his room staring at the ceiling as he felt like something in him broke. He knew it was the right thing to do but that didn't make it hurt any less.
