Had this idea in my head for some time. Couldn't know how it would turn out. Now this is an AU and fair warning this is rated T since it's been awhile since I've done something rated T. And it's been awhile since I've done a story. So… yeah, enjoy, I guess.
It's another beautiful, yet terrifying day in the place known as the Boiling Isles. But today it's a Saturday, so school isn't open today. Luz got her regular cat-ear hoodie along with her bag. Because she's planning to hang out with Willow and Gus today. They're going to help her to find Illusion glyphs, since she still only discovered four. Since it's going to be a long day, they're going to spend some time at the park, so Luz wants to make sure she has plenty snacks for them.
Made sure she got everything she need, she headed to the door "See ya Eda." Luz called out to the Owl Lady who was making some potions "Where you off to, kiddo?" Eda asked.
"Going to the park. Willow and Gus going to help me with Illusion magic." Luz explained.
"Illusion magic? Could it have something with your test in the Illusion Track, Luz?" Ask Lilith who is sitting on the couch reading some old books Eda has laying around.
"Well… yes but no. Of course, it has something to do with the Illusion Track, but I'm not doing a test… not yet." Said Luz as she holds up four different glyphs of spells "So far, I only discovered four. One when Eda got turned into an Owl Beast. One at the Knee, one from one of the plants, and the fire spell during a Grudgby match against Boscha."
"So, you're hoping to find an Illusion Glyph?" Lilith asked which the young human girl nodded, with Lilith stroking her chin "Well, I'm not going to lie. Finding an Illusion Glyph isn't an easy task."
"Tell me about it. Which is why me, Willow, and Gus are going to find it. Since Gus is in the Illusion Track. But… I don't know if I could find it at all."
"Ah, don't worry about it." Eda walked out from the kitchen "C'mon, you always find those glyph things."
"Yeah, I guess I always do." Luz smiled as she opened the door "I better get going. Don't want keep Willow and Gus waiting."
"I'm coming, too." King running towards the human only for Eda to grab him by the collar and hoist him up to eye level.
"Oh no, King. You're helping me to make some potions." Said Eda holding King by the arm "Those snails aren't going to grow themselves."
"You sure you're going let your student go by herself, Edalyn? Especially with the disappearances?" Lilith asked, which got Luz attention.
"Disappearnces? What disappearances?" Luz asked raising a brow.
"There's been cases of missing denizens. It's on the news for two weeks now. The Emperor's Coven haven't found a single lead. I'm not sure it's a good time for you to go."
"Since when did you became all friendly?" Eda asked with Lilith looking at her sister "I'm being concerned for her." Said Lilith.
"It's nice you're worried Lilith. But don't worry…" Luz held her chest highed while pointing at herself with her thumb "…I did faced Emperor Belos, and able to get out alive. I even have these with me." Luz took out an Ice Glyph, Plant Glyph, and Fire Glyph from her pocket "I'm not the same girl who first came to the Boiling Isles. I can take care of myself."
"Ha, she got an point there Lily. She'll burn the guy to a crisp or froze him till the next century." Eda patting Lilith shoulder, giving her a smile "If she said she'll take care herself, I should listen."
Lilith gave a defeat sigh "Alright, if your student says so." Said Lilith.
"See ya, guys." Luz said goodbye as Eda and Lilith waved at her. Luz walked out and close the door as Hooty stretches his neck "Hoot, hoot! Hay Luz, could you bring me back some bugs? I love you always bring me food! Hoot, hoot." Screech Hooty.
"I'll see what I can. See ya, Hooty!" Luz waved at Hooty as she ran from the Owl House into the forest.
"Oh hombre! I'm late! I hope they're still…" Luz didn't finish her sentence as she rammed into someone. She fell onto her butt while rubbing her head "Oh Dios mío, I'm sor-"
"Watch where you…"
Both of them stop at midsentence. When they looked at each other, Luz instantly realized the green-mint hair. Amity Blight who was once her rival now became friends. Luz quickly stood up, gently grab Amity arm to pick her up "Amity, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you!" Luz apologizing to her as Amity dust herself from the dirt on her black dress.
"I-It's okay. I was the one who wasn't watching were I was going." Said Amity looking at Luz who is still have the sorry look in her eyes "I-I was… coming to see you." Amity nervously spoke.
"See me? For what?" Luz asked the Blight girl.
"To see how you are holding up. You know with whole… rescuing Eda and… Belos thing." Said Amity.
Luz became quiet. It has been almost a week, since Eda has almost been petrified. Not just that, but she was forced to destroy her only way home. There where times she cried to sleep since she won't be able to see her mother again. Thinking of her made her feel guilty since her mom still think she's in summer camp. Amity sees Luz depressed as she reaches her hand on the human shoulder. But stopped herself from doing so.
"You okay, Luz?" Amity asked snapping Luz out from her thoughts.
"Y-Yeah! I'm totally fine!" Luz put on a cheery look "Why wouldn't I be?"
"You sure? If it's something I've said…"
"No, no! It's okay Am's. You're worried about my wellbeing. Its normal."
"You sure?"
"Yeah… I need time to get over it. After all, what's done is done." Both Luz and Amity are in an awkward silence. Amity then clapped her hands together "Well, umm… if you say so. I'll see you later." Amity about to turn around only for Luz to grab her hand which the Blight face became red.
"Wait, you're going to leave after coming all the way out here?" Luz asked which Amity rubbing her neck nervously "I-I thought you need someone to talk to. But you're doing okay… so…"
Then an idea pops in Luz head "Hold on Amity, why not we go to the park, together?" Luz asked cheerfully which Amity feel her face heating up "G-Go… t-to the… p-p-park? Together?" Amity stuttering.
"But if you have other plans, then I won't…" Amity grabbed Luz shoulder with her face close to her "YES! LET'S GO TO THE PARK!" Amity shouted.
Realize what she said she coughs nervously "I-I mean… sure. I don't have plans anyway. Plus, it'll finally give me some peace and quiet away from my annoying siblings." Said Amity in a polite tone.
"Great! Hope Willow and Gus won't mind if I bring an extra." Said Luz with Amity eyes widen in surprised.
"Willow and Gus? Why are they in the park also? If you won't mind." Amity asked.
"They're going to help me find a glyph for the Illusion Track. Since I still have four."
"Oh yeah, don't you have a little exam coming up with the Illusion class?"
"Yep, since you're coming with me, you might help me find one for the Abomination Track."
Amity face gotten red again as she smiled "I-I would love to… I-I mean, I wouldn't mind." Said Amity.
"Great!" Luz grabbing hand much for the mint-hair girl fluster "Let's go Mittens! Adventure awaits!" Said Luz as she pulled Amity by the arm.
As they walked into the forest Luz look at Amity's leg. Realizing that it is healed already "I see your leg is finally healed." Said Luz which Amity rubs her neck "Yeah. It got better last night. Gotta love healing magic." Said Amity smiling.
"I still haven't found a glyph for it yet. I might ask Viney for help." Luz smiled at Amity causing the Blight to smile back.
Suddenly, Amity ear twitch when she heard a twig snapped. She whipped her head behind her. She sees the bushes rustling, shook harshly. Amity let go of Luz hand with Luz stopping. She looked at Amity who is in a defense stance. Puzzled Luz spoke out to her "Amity? Why did you…?" Amity shushed Luz as twirl her finger to summon a fireball. The young human sees Amity with a fireball, slowly grabbing out two Fire Glyphs from her pocket.
"What is it?" Luz whispered.
"Luz… I think we're being watched." Amity whispered back to her.
Suddenly, a yellow blast shot out from the bush headed for Amity "LUZ GET DOWN!" Amity tackled Luz to the ground which the blast hurl overhead hitting a tree. Luz was the first on her feet tapping the Fire Glyphs hand throws them at the bush. It hits the bushes which get engulf by the flames.
"Who's out there?!" Luz shouted pulling out a Plant Glyph "Come out and show yourself!" She slams the paper onto the ground as vines shot out from the ground and charge at the burning bushes.
As it hits the burning bushes, the vines suddenly turned into stone and fell apart. Luz looks at it in shocked "What the?" Luz surprised.
Amity sees another blast coming from another bush "Luz, look out!" Amity shouted where she gets hit after pushing Luz out the way. Luz hits the ground and quickly sees Amity on the ground.
"AMITY!" Luz shouted rushed over to her.
Amity softly snoring, which Luz realize what hit her "A Sleeping Spell?!" Thought Luz as she heard footsteps behind her. She looked up only to get blasted by another Sleeping Spell. Luz fell over onto the ground next to Amity. The hooded figure stands over them, giving out an icily chuckle.
"What a lucky find. A human… And a young witchling." Said the hooded man with a creep voice "Two perfect specimens for my… experiment." As the hooded man both of them, taking their unconscious bodies with him, only leaving behind their bags.

Also, I have a sad announcement. My Grandma died Monday night on her birthday. So, it'll be hard for me to make any stories. Hope you all under stand.
