Hey guys. I've wanted to do this story after I finished the first two Sly games, but I still have yet to play the remaining two. This takes place during episode 6 and onwards. SPOILER WARNING, if you haven't finished the first two games in its entirety and that you plan on reading the whole thing, I recommend clicking off of this now. I'm also including an OC in this, Wylda, as she helps build the story, if that makes sense.
I do not own Sly Cooper, all rights go to Sucker Punch.
Anyways hope you guys like and feel free to review and comment
The Cooper Gang and Wylda had arrived and set up a safehouse near a village at Nunavut Bay, in the Canadian North. Wylda had reluctantly joined them after the heist in Cairo, while she was on vacation. At the time, because she was so close to the gang before the police could arrest them, Carmelita would've most definitely believed that she was assisting Sly and the gang during their operation even though Wylda had nothing to do with it at all. She was very much so against stealing, but after Sly told her everything about Clockwerk and the Klaww Gang, she wanted to help in their quest in stealing back the parts.
"Welp, let's get this show on the road huh guys?" Sly said as he stood up from the table, about to head out for a job.
"Can I come? You might need my help," Wylda said.
"Hmm.. Ok, I could use your help I guess, just try and stay close to me as much as possible," She nodded in response.
Sly and Wylda were heading out when Bentley came in through his binocucom, "I've got a lead on the Clockwerk parts. Head through town and out into the wilderness," They made their trek through town without being spotted, with Sly pickpocketing some loose change off a few guards along the way. They then stumbled upon a river. Sly jumped onto a lone rock in the middle of the stream.
He held out an arm to the blue-furred female wolf, "I've got you," She jumped and grabbed his hand, landing on the rock.
Sly got out his binocucom, and looked at a cabin sitting atop a high cliff.
"That cabin may seem rustic, but don't be fooled, it's the control center for Jean Bison's train empire. Sneak inside and raid his files, you're sure to find out where he keeps his Clockwerk parts," Bentley said. "You two sneak inside and raid his files, you're sure to find out where he keeps his Clockwerk parts,"
"Hm, ransacking his files doesn't sound hard. Now climbing up a sheer rock wall… that'll be a challenge," Sly said.
"You're in luck. Before Jean Bison took over this used to be a popular destination for rock climbers. Some of their old wall hooks are still around," Bentley informed Sly.
"So I'm guessing I'll have to use my cane to spring myself up to the next wall hook?" Sly said.
"That's right," Bentley said.
"Cool, thanks for the tip, we'll give it a shot," Sly hung up his binocucom and jumped off the rock, heading over to the cliff wall. Wylda did the same, this time not needing Sly's help. She observed the wall and looked at Sly, "Ok Wylda, I'm not sure if i can carry both of us up this wall. What I'll do is, I'll get up there first and give you my cane so you can spring yourself up. Sounds good?" Wylda nodded. Sly sprung himself up the wall using the hooks and made it up the cliff. He checked to see if the train was about to come by. Luckily it hadn't passed by yet, then he went over and dropped his cane near Wylda.
"Whenever you're ready, but make it quick," said Sly.
"Mhm," she grabbed his cane and hooked it on one of the wall hooks. She stood herself up against the wall and jumped up to the next wall hook. She made it up the cliff and landed on the train tracks while Sly waited for her on the other side. Suddenly, Wylda felt the railroad vibrate beneath her and looked up to see the light of the train inside the tunnel, rapidly approaching her.
"C'mon hurry!", yelled Sly. She gasped in shock and managed to scramble off the tracks just in the nick of time.
"Whew, now that was a close call," Sly said, taking his hat off to wipe his forehead. "Oh Sly," Wylda giggled and panted, putting her hands on her thighs, "We've had plenty of close calls on this journey, not like this one was any exception," She handed him back his cane.
"Thanks. Ok, back to the task at hand," Sly grabbed her arm as they slowly walked up to the front door of the cabin. Wylda peered in through one of the windows and saw the hulking red bison, walking around while he huffed and puffed. "So he's the guy you saw back at the ball, Jean Bison. I find it rather strange when he walks around in circles like that," Wylda moved away from the window before Sly motioned her over to the door and they walked inside.
"Jackpot," Sly said, staring at Jean. "Hmm, I'm surprised he didn't notice us come in," Wylda said. Sly shushed her as they both went over to hide under one of the tables.
"Hello? Arpeggio here," An English-sounding voice said over the speakerphone. Sly and Wylda were about to eavesdrop in on their conversation.
"Salutations, Mr. Arpeggio," Jean said, "Got time to shoot the breeze?"
"Surely! For you, always, although must we communicate through that dreadful speakerphone?" said Arpeggio, "Yeah, I can think better while my legs move, pumps blood to your brain," Jean said. Wylda was a bit disgusted by Jean's remark.
"Yes, of course," Arpeggio couldn't help but chuckle, "One must keep blood in one's er...brain. Is there some other pressing matter you'd like to discuss?"
"First off, you still a-comin' on up here to get that northern lights battery?" Jean said. Sly and Wylda's ears perked in unison.
"Yes, we're on the way! My blimp should arrive by the end of this week,"
"Bullseye! Oh and by the way, when are you gonna give me a look-see at that Clockwerk brain? I'd sure like to buy it off ya," Jean asked.
"What do you mean? You've already got your fair share of the parts,"
"Woah easy there, bird-brain," Jean said, "It's just that I found some good use for the Clockwerk parts I got. Put three of them in the engines of my best trains. With those robotic doohickeys feeding the fire them Iron Horses will run all night and day. Of course, i gotta keep the plans hidden, so I stuffed them in my three trophy bass,"
"Sounds like you're making very good use with the parts you have, but for the time being the brain stays with me,"
"Fine by me. Are you still ready for the final showdown in Pari?" Jean asked. "Yes, thanks to the Contessa, the blimp's hypnotism wavelengths will conform to the specs. And, before his capture, Dimitri did a splendid job in distributing spice through his nightclub,"
"All's you need now is some northern light electricity,"
"Correct. It's the final piece to the puzzle. Once it is aboard, nothing will stand in our way,"
"Guess I'll be seein' you by the end of the week?"
"Right. Farewell, Bison," Arpeggio hangs up.
Sly and Wylda crawled through the rows of tables, eventually making it to the other end of the cabin, and hid behind a stack of logs near the fireplace. Wylda looked up to see three diagrams on the walls depicting routes of some sort. "I'm pretty sure those routes are of his Iron Horses," Sly said. "You mean those trains running through town? One of which almost ran me over?" Wylda asked.
"Yes, those. I'll go up and take some recon photos of them while you try to steal the plans hidden in those trophies of his," Sly informed her, before heading up onto the beams. Wylda used the logs to climb up onto the top of the fireplace, and reached inside the mouth of the trophy. She felt something inside and pulled it out, it was one of the Iron Horse blueprints! She quietly jumped off and headed towards Sly, "I got them! Well, one of them at least," She said. "Awesome, now let's get out of here before he spots us," They sneaked their way towards the front door. They exited.
As Sly was about to head out, Wylda stopped him, "Wait. From what I've heard he's got two other trophies hidden around here, right?,"
"Yeah, just not in this one," Sly said. Bentley then came in through his binocucom "Sly, after analyzing Bison's decorating techniques, you two should find the other trophies above the mantel in each of the two remaining cabins," Sly nodded "Gotcha, we're on it," he hung up and put his hands on Wylda's shoulders, "Wylda, I'm gonna trust that you'll snag the remaining blueprints undetected while I head back to the safehouse?" She nodded, "Good," He then grabbed some spare winter clothing, a jacket and a snow cap, that were lying outside Jean's control center cabin. "Here put these on, pretend you're one of them," He said, handing them to her. She put the jacket on over her purple sweater first, it was really big on her, going all the way down to her knees. Luckily, the collar had covered up most of her face so that the townsfolk wouldn't see much of her identity. And finally, she hid her long blue hair and bangs under the snow cap.
"Um, how do I look?" Wylda asked.
"Like one of Jean's men, only a lot less, well...manly," Sly laughed. "Ok I'm off. When you've got all three blueprints, let Bentley know and he'll give us the rundown of what to do next,"
"You got it," Wylda said. Sly took off and Wylda set off to find one of the cabins. She walked under the railroads and nodded to one of the moose guards standing around and waved, "Hello-I mean, um...howdy, eh?". She did her best to not sound girly, and even went the extra mile to attempt a Canadian accent. The moose raised his eyebrow, "..Howdy," He crossed his arms, glaring at her as she walked by. "Whew, that was close", Wylda whispered to herself. She made it to the next cabin and saw a goose guard patrolling the outside.
She was about to walk inside, but the goose stopped her, "Eh! What are you doin'?". Wylda tensed up, "Uh... J-Jean told me to come here. He wanted me to check on one of his trophy bass,"
"Hmm," he paused, "Ok go on in, don't stay in there too long though," Wylda was relieved, "Oh thank you partner, I'll be back in a jiffy," She headed in to see other goose guards walking around the cabin. Wylda walked over to the fireplace while telling others the same thing she told the goose outside, as to not draw suspicion. She went up to the trophy and quickly reached inside for the second Iron Horse blueprints. "Two down, one to go," She stuffed them inside her jacket, and walked out of the cabin. "See ya 'round, eh?" She told the goose guard outside before looking for the next cabin, "Yeppers," said the goose. He looked down at her golden brownish-yellow flats and black tights, but scoffed and shook his head in disbelief, "Strange fellow,"
Wylda had made it to the next cabin. This time it was scattered with many bear traps around the front, so she did her best not to set a single one off, and succeeded. "Really? How many bear traps does a guy need," She went inside and saw a few moose guards walking around with their flashlights, while some others were sound asleep on a couple cots.
"Attention all cabin guards," Jean said over the intercom, alerting Wylda, "I've heard from the boys in Ponderosa Cabin that someone's been at my hidden blueprints. Everyone keep a sharp eye out, I ain't payin' ya to laze around while there's a thief in these here parts,"
"Certainly not me," Wylda sarcastically said to herself while she climbed up the mantel, making sure none of the guards spotted her. She reached inside and grabbed the third blueprint, Yes!, she thought. She put them in her coat and sneaked her way out of the cabin. As she walked out she noticed a raccoon sliding down one of the power lines and hopped off.
"That was good timing," said Wylda, before she handed him the blueprints, "Well, here they are, the blueprints,"
"Awesome, thanks. Bentley, can you hear me?" Sly got out his binocucom.
"Yeah, good job on getting those blueprints, guys. Now that you have all three blueprints, we should be able to track the Iron Horse trains through that satellite dish. Sly, you good at climbing?"
"Oh it shouldn't be that hard, I've climbed much higher," Sly bragged. He hung up his binocucom, but before he went to go climbing he turned his attention to Wylda, "Hey Wylda, why don't you head back to the safehouse? You've done a really good job today and I think you deserve a break. I'll come back to see you in a little while, I've got a mountain to climb," Wylda nodded, and started heading back.
Alrighty first chapter is done. Don't know exactly when I'm gonna update but it shouldn't be that long of a wait, like maybe a couple weeks in between each chapter. Review and comment. See ya!
