Ron looked down the alter. There she was. She was stunning. Her white long dress hugged her curves and made her body look delectable. Her smile was enough to light up any room and her eyes held a thousand conversations. Her skin glowed and her hair framed her face, making her neck look longer and even more slender. Everywhere she went, she left a trail of subtle perfume. The scent was her. Every time he smelt it his heart skipped a beat. She was incredible.

She was truly a masterpiece.

She was his.

She knew it.

He knew it.

A tear slipped down his cheek, as she watched her walk away from him, as she walked further down the aisle. To meet her future husband.

Draco Malfoy.

After the War, he and Hermione had dated. But between his auror training and her job at the ministry. They didn't get much time alone together. They few apart and broke up not even a year later. He had heard from Ginny a few months later, that she had started seeing Draco Malfoy. At first Ron didn't believe it. No Hermione wouldn't do that. She couldn't. But the rumours continued. And 6 months later they were official. Ron has refused to see her every time she offered to meet up for dinner. And almost 3 years later he received an invitation to their wedding through the door. She never stopped trying to make friends. He received dinner invites at least once every two months. He felt bad for ignoring them and turning her down. But he refused to believe that that GIT was a better match for her than he was.

He remembered their first time. Yes, it was sloppy as most first times are. And yes, it was rushed. They were in the middle of war. She seemed to enjoy herself. She complimented him at the end. They moved in together after the war and had slept together a bit then. He thought back on her skin. As soft as silk. Not even a blemish except that horrid word carved into her skin by her future aunt in law. Why she wanted to marry into that family Ron did not know!

He thought of Draco running his filthy hands over the perfection that was Hermione. Ron's Hermione. Would she moan out Draco's name, the way which she moaned out his? Would she move her body with the same passion? The same vigour? The same want, need. desire? He knew that she did. He had overheard a private conversation between Hermione and Ginny. He managed to block out most of what was said. But a few bits stuck in his mind

"He's so big"

"Really knows what he's doing"

"No fumbling"

"Oh! And his muscles, Gin!"

"His body itself is an aphrodisiac"

Ron thought of Draco's snake-like body laying with Hermione. Kissing her, holding her. Giving her pleasure. It sickened him. How dare Malfoy! Take what was rightfully his! How dare he make her happy. Looking at Hermione right now, Ron knew that she was happy. And it pained him because she had never been that happy back when she was with him.

Draco slipped the ring on her finger, Rons heart broke.

They had their first kiss as husband and wife. His broken heart shattered.

They were pronounced as husband and wife. Ron knew that he would never recover from the pain he was in right now. He always assumed that they would end up together again. Who knows? Maybe if he went to some of these dinners, he would have been able to remind Hermione why she fell for him in the first place. He refused because he couldn't stand the thought of seeing her with Draco. Now, he has to suffer that pain for the rest of his life. The pair walked up the aisle, greeting their guests. She stopped when she got to him.

"Ron! You're here! I'm so glad you could make it" she said as she hugged him tight. He inhaled her scent. He smelt that perfume. Hid throat tightened as he bit back tears, as he smelt him on her. Her beautiful scent tainted by him. He gritted his teeth. Determined not to push her further away.

"Congratulations Hermione. Draco. I'm so happy for you both" be choked out. Hermione must not have noticed the ache in his heart as he spoke to her, as she carried on, greeting guests in the rows behind her. Draco remained with Ron, and shot his hand out, to shake Ron's. Reluctantly, and fighting every urge in his body to punch Draco, he shook his hand and gave him a small nod.

"Don't let her go. You'll never forgive yourself if you do" Ron said

Draco looked at Ron. Hermione was overwhelmed with happiness. She couldn't see his pain. But Draco knew what it was like. He had watched Hermione and Ron be together for a year. He had felt the pain as she had chosen Ron over him. He knew that Ron was Hermione's first. Draco would never have that.

He knew none of that mattered now. They were married, happy and in love. But he knew the pain Ron was in

"I know how it feels. Just remember. I may be her forever. But you were her first. She'll never forget that" Draco said quietly. He nodded at Ron then moved up to join his new wife in their greetings, leaving Ron a row behind. Still hurting, but somewhat comforted by Draco's words.

Maybe dinner wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

He just had to get over this pain. Of being somebody that she had loved.
