I wasn't planning on writing a new story but the Rwby finale really got to me, both in a good way (Team Rwby is alive and Ironwood is dead (probably)! And things are looking good for Jaune on the island XD) and a bad way (PENNY! Why make her a human if you're gonna do us dirty like that T T), so I couldn't help myself.
I had this story idea in my mind for a while after reading Dark Wolf Shiro's Rwby story. He does his own thing and I get it but it saddened me how much wasted potential his character has. But hey, that's why fanfiction exists right, to write our own versions.
Words of WARNINGS and ELABORATIONS!:
One; edgy characters and dark elements, just a heads up. Don't hit up my reviews with some bull when you've been warned.
Two; My version of Rwby to be a bit...different, hence the AU tag. So don't make assumptions about changes to characters and other things. If something is off, it's probably intentional.
Disclaimer: I own nothing!
I run through the forest as fast as I can, surprising myself at the speed I now exhibit. Despite this, the small pack of pitch black wolf-like creatures don't seem to slow down as they chase me with mad ferocity.
How the hell did I get a situation like this, you (and I, honestly) ask? I'm not too sure myself but I'll try to explain the best I can.
It'll started with me trying to commit suicide. Dark, I know – but that's my...that was my life – your usual depressing cliché. Orphaned since birth, constantly moving from foster home to home, latest family to accept me being an abusive one that just wanted a slave, et cetera, et cetera. When I was at some party reflecting on what the fuck I'm doing with my existence, I thought to myself – if this is my life, why not move on to the next…I was in a mixture of being high and drunk simultaneously so my state of mind really wasn't in right at the time.
Anyways, I went on to do what any other 21-century teenager would have done in my position and use the internet to find a video on the best way to kill yourself (there were quite a few, it's concerning really). Before the video could get started, one of those survey ads popped up but this one was...weird.
Normally you're asked what kind of movies you like or where you like to watch them or something else among those lines – but this one was asking what kind of life I would like to live in the next life and what kind of person I would want to be.
This was something I've always thought about since I was a little kid – how I want my life to out of nowhere just become this grand, epic, movie-like adventure. My biggest hope was that I was the lost son of someone extremely rich or someone extremely rich would take an interest in an orphan like me, like that one movie with the red-haired girl...coincidently, that came up as a survey option.
Next, I've always been a fan of magic and superpowers but never liked medieval settings. I was more into a futuristic setting of the world because magic plus technology is a guaranteed epic combination, especially for someone as lazy as me...coincidently, that also came up as an option.
Lastly, I've always wanted to be some kind of badass. The kind of guy who just...looks cool at anything he does. My biggest inspiration in life was always Levi from Attack on Titan – and yes, I know it's sad that my idol is an animated character. First off, his name just sounds so cool – I mean, seriously! Lee-viy~ – so freaking smooth, I was planning on naming my kid that.
I've always wanted to be him, this great guy who's been gifted to be the best...coincidently, that also came up as...at this point, you'd think I'd realize this probably aren't coincidences but like I said – my mind was fucked at that time.
After I had all my options down, I clicked submit...only for my phone to start glowing impossibly bright and then everything became white soon after. At that point, I had no idea what was real anymore…

When I regained consciousness, everything was surprisingly clear – white light gone, along with the effects of alcohol and weed completely – and this screen was what I woke up to. My first thought…
What. The! Fuck?!
At first, my head roamed around frantically trying to find something – anything that could tell me what the bloody hell I got myself into. But after realizing I'm in a forest in the middle of nowhere, I just bring myself back to the screen in desperation.
Soooo judging by what I saw, apparently I landed myself in a...game? But this felt so real, too real – man, I really should've paid attention to what was in that brownie.
If my life is now a video game, I figured I should be getting a starter quest – a little something to help get me settled in. And right on point, I did...though it wasn't exactly what I was expecting…
Mission Alert!
"Big Bad Wolf"
You might want to turn around.
Main Objective: Survive...
Bonus Objectives:

?
Rewards: Lien, EXP, ?
Bonus Rewards:
?
?
?
Failure: Certain Death, Game Over.
This Quest Can Not Be Rejected.
I turned around.
A new skill has been gifted to you by yours truly! So you know what you're up against...
Observe [Active] Lv.1 has been unlocked.
The (most cliché) skill to discover the information of a target has been acquired.
Beowolves;
Lv.8, Lv.2, Lv.1, Lv.2, Lv.1
Observe has gone up by 1!
Then as ran as fast as I fucking could!
And that's how I found myself in my current situation, ladies and gentlemen. Glad you've caught up – unfortunately, the beowolves are also doing just that.
At least I now have an idea of where I am...Rwby. It's not the worst place I could think of.
But it still has it's troublesome issues – for example, the things that are fucking chasing me right now!
What the hell is this shit! Don't I get instructions on what to do! What are my skills! How do I use magic! Why is my starting gear a simple shirt and pants combo – what kind of shitty game doesn't have a proper starting gear!
You have the item Starter Kit currently in inventory. Would you like to open it?
...huh, I stand corrected. And of course I want to open it now!
Starter Kit Opened! Receiving items:
Item Acquired: Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (Training)
Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (Training)
Quality: Common
State: Perfect [150/150]
In a world plagued by danger in the form gigantic monstrosities, the human species' desire to survive led them to create these technologies of great mobility. With the ODM Gear, you basically become a sword-wielding Spider-Man. Since you're a newbie, you get the training version, but don't worry, it's good enough for low-levels.
Blades Stored: 8 (4 Left/4 Right)
Item Acquired: Elemental Affinity Tome [Skill Book]
Skill Book: Elemental Affinity Tome
Quality: Epic
Air...Water...Earth...Fire... The moment you open this book, you will be provided with information on your Elemental Affinity. And since it's a Skill Book, you won't have to worry about all that reading nonsense. Oh, and you're not limited to those four elements – I just wanted to sound cool.
Items Acquired: Minor Health Potion (x5)
Items Acquired: Minor Mana Potion (x5)
Not a bad haul – I can fight back now! But training gear, seriously...you know what, I have a weapon and that's all that matters. So with that in mind, I choose to equip the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (making it magically appear) and sharply turn, sliding back on my heels from the motion as I did (did I mention I can move).
Seeing me stop, a level 2 beowulf at the front immediately lunges in the air at me. I react by positioning and launching the grapples of the ODM gear on a tree directly behind the grimm, allowing for me to rip through it by launching myself up and slicing it in half. I then land on a large branch and retract the cords of the ODM gear back.
Lv.2 Beowulf has been defeated! Gained 100 EXP!
Through your actions and the knowledge given to you by a certain bloodline, you have unlocked a physical passive skill, Aerial Maneuvering (Novice) [Passive] Lv.1
Moving and fighting in the air is something incredibly difficult to do, which is why many try to avoid it. Without being proper ground, one can't fully utilize their body (unless you have wings). With this skill, the skies the limit...literally. Aerial mobility, whether it be wings, a jetpack or even just freefalling, comes to you easily and, with a high enough mastery, you can go on to do gravity-defying movements.
Aerial Maneuvering has gone up by 1!
"Holy crap! How did I do that?!" I cry out in surprise and a bit of glee. Obviously, I've never used ODM gear before.
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to ponder over this as two more beowulfs leap up to my level in an attempt to attack me – but before they could, I let myself drop down so I could meet them at a halfway point, before using the same move Levi stole from Sonic the Hedgehog to shred them apart. I'll admit my technique was...sloppier, but hey – it got the job done...at the cost of my blades.
Aerial Maneuvering has gone up by 1!
Aerial Maneuvering has gone up by 1!
Your rotational movement has unlocked the physical active skill, Spin Attack [Active] Lv.1
Cost: +12 Fatigue/Sec
Yeah, that's right – we're calling that! You're the one who made the Sonic reference. I don't think I need to explain what this does, you just did it.
Lv.1 Beowulf has been defeated! Gained 50 EXP!
Lv.1 Beowulf has been defeated! Gained 50 EXP!
Level Up!
Before I end up hitting the ground, I position ODM gears grapples to stick to the trunk of a very thick tree in a beowolf's direction and once it does, I propel forward – equipping (physically) new blades and cutting it the grimm up before stopping at the trunk of the tree.
Lv.2 Beowulf has been defeated! Gained 50 EXP!
Can you believe I've never done this before?! I'm a freaking natural! Now to deal with the level 5...which is right in front of me–oh shit!
At crazy speeds, the grimm wolf was right before, ready to swipe straight at me. The only thing I manage to pull off is trying to block it's claws with my swords – but they shattered instantly and the grimm's claw continued to connect to myself and launch me back hard, all the way to another tree in which I impacted violently.
–80 HP
–150 HP
"Uhhh…" I groan as I see red liquid dripping from my torso. "Aura…why don't I fucking have Aura…"
Fuck! Now I'm all bloody and dirty – that's a troublesome combination...wait? Since when do I care about stuff like that – especially in a battle.
Hearing the footsteps of the beowulf, I quickly try to get up but it's simply too fast. Fortunately I have already equipped new blades to the ODM handles while getting up and I try to block again.
Exactly like before (not really a shocker), my blades shatter and I...did I just get bitch slapped by a grimm? Anyways, I'm again launched a few feet back, my brain ratting this time.
–80 HP
Alrighty then – my HP is running low, my Fatigue is past the halfway point, I'm in extreme pain and I'm on my last pair of blades...I'm sure this is the perfect time for a tactical retreat.
I get quickly and connect myself to a tree as high as possible, using the ODM gear, and land on a branch. I then grapple another tree and propel myself forward, repeating this over and over so that I'm traversing through the forest by air.

I ignore these notifications as my focus is on the grimm wolf that is still chasing me – damn, that this is fast. Grimm can sense negative emotion right, cause I'll be lying if I say I'm not scared shirtless right now.
Warning! Fatigue has passed the 75% mark!
Oh no! I am losing breath, I feel that for sure. At this rate, this thing will never leave me alone and in the worst case scenario, I could end up attracting more grimm.
Sigh...I need to end this now – looks like I'll be using that magic book earlier than expected. I summon the book from my Inventory.
Do you want to use the Elemental Affinity Tome Skill Book?
I mentally accept. Suddenly, the book lights up, flashing different colors – I guess it's determining my affinity…
Curse of the Glacian has intercepted the Elemental Affinity Tome Skill Book.
What?
The book immediately shines a bright icy blue before disapitating into particles soon after. After that, information begins to fill my mind...
By using the Skill Book, you have awakened the dormant elemental power resting with you!
Elemental Magic Proficiency (Novice) [Passive] LV.1 Skill Tree has been unlocked.
Air...Wate – wait, I already did this. Anyway, this is the art of using magic to manipulate the elements and bend them to your will. Don't get excited, you only have access to one element so far.
Branch Discovered: Cyromancy (Novice) [Passive] Lv.1
The cold never bothered me anyway~ The art of manipulating the power of ice with magic, frankly I think people don't give this power enough credit. Do you know with a high enough mastery, you could freeze time!
Spells Available: Ice Lance, Ice Floor
[Ice Spike]
Cost: -5 MP/Spike
A sharp shard of ice is launched from your hand, causing freezing damage to whatever it hits. Can cause freeze up the target, though minor unless enhanced is wet.
[Ice Floor]
Cost: -8 MP
You can cause ice to form on the surface of a small area. You have to be within a certain range of the area you want to freeze up for it to work.
Excellent! Now this is something I can work with. Thank you whatever god gave me that book.
Achievement Unlocked: Reading is Fun!
'Read' your first Skill Book. Also: wrong gender, bud.
Rewards: +1 INT, +1 WIS
Oh, sorry. Thank you, goddess…
Achievement Unlocked: That's a Good Boy!
Don't make that mistake again, there will be consequences if you do~
Rewards: +2 CHA
Ignoring that eerie statement, I put all that stat points I acquired from leveling up earlier into Mana. Literally feeling the increase, I stop on a tall tree and look down at the grimm climbing it's way up.
I cast Ice Floor on the surface of the tree the beowolf is climbing on, and immediately the trunk under the grimm ices up and the beowulf ends up slipping and losing balance, falling to the ground hard – it's actually hilarious to watch.
Seeing as it is vulnerable from the fall, I cast Ice Lance until I ran out of MP.

Elemental Magic Proficiency has gone up by 1!
Several projectiles of ice that formed from my hands launch at it. Some miss but the majority land.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to finish it as the grimm was still alive when I ran low on MP. But it's severely damaged so I should be able to finish it off easily now. Connecting the grapple cords of the ODM gear to the ground, I equip one of the blade handles and launch myself down to land the finishing blow.
Lv.8 Beowulf has been defeated! Gained 400 EXP!
Level Up! HP, MP, and Fatigue have been 75% restored.
Mission Completed!
"Big Bad Wolf"
Main Objective: Survive... Completed! Rewards: Gained 450 EXP, 150 Lien,

I Owe You One: Survive by having someone else kill the Beowolves. Failed.
Level Up! HP, MP, and Fatigue have been 75% restored.
Level Up!
Achievement Unlocked: You're a survivor and survivors need names.
Ok, I'll admit – being summoned near danger was my bad, but hey, you lived! Consider it a pass! With that out of the way, you can begin your new life and with new beginnings comes new names...I'm thinking, Nero...
Rewards: +5 to all stats, 500 Lien, The Name Nero

My head hurts from having to look at all that information. I skim through it all as I'm too tired to really care about anything right now. Looks like this system or goddess or whatever, sure is going to be troublesome...
Anyways, that experience was...that was unbelievable. I still want to believe this is a dream but...it feels too real – for example, the way my heart is pounding throughout my entire body...holy crap, I really have been summoned to another world!
I don't know what to think – on one hand, Remnant is a more exciting world than Earth but on the other hand, there is a much higher probability that I can die. And who knows what will happen after that!
Then again, it looks like I have a gamer system and those tend to be OP, so I guess I'm set…?
…
Sigh, I'm not going to get anywhere by just standing here. I need to find a way to civilization before I run into any more–
"Well, well, well, lookie what we got here boys." says a gruff voice coming from behind me.
Fuck. I totally jinxed that.
"Looks like a little birdie wandered into the wrong part of the forest."
"He's already roughed up, how pathetic. Hey, how about we show him how things run around here."
Two more voices follow through from the same direction and I quickly turn around to find...
"You have got to be kidding me…" I mumble.
Bandits;

Observe has gone up by 1!
Observe has gone up by 1!
"Look guys, he's al–"
"How fucking cliché can you guys get?!"
I take in a nice good look at my supposed assailants.
Tall, lanky, with a nasty sneer as ugly as they come? Check.
Muscle bound lug with a 'scary smile' and an odd hair do? Yup.
Tiny and rat-faced, perfect as a mascot for degenerates? Do I even have to say it.
They even got the expected rough look (two of them are missing a tooth), their animal skin clothing being the cherry on top. These three are one of the most cliché trio of bandits there can be.
"–ready scared...wait, what! Cliché!" cried out Bandit #1, who seems to be their leader.
"We're not cliché!" Muscle-head Bandit #2 cried out after his leader.
"Yeah, what he said." Rat-face #3 supports.
I give them a flat look. "Really, just look at you guys. Everything about you screams thugs."
"...That's...That's the point, you brat!"
"I understand that but, you can do much better. I've seen this scene so many times it's not even scary anymore. Looking like the next person just shows you're a nobody, strive to not be average."
"Nobody! Average! The fuck you tryna say!" Bandit #2 sputters out furiously.
"What are your names?" I say so casually, it causes all the bandits to pause momentarily in confusion.
"What…?"
"Names." I repeat. "What are they?"
"Uhh...I'm Cyder. That's Bugsy and he's Viktor."
Wow, even their names sound like a cliché.
Bandits;
Lv.18, Lv.12, Lv.20
"Yeah, it didn't work."
"What didn't work." asks rat-face.
I sigh. "I just can't see you guys as nothing more than Bandit 1, 2 and 3." I explain with a shrug.
"Why you...what – really?" I nod. The leader then turns to his companions. "Maybe we do look a little too generic…"
"Not maybe, definitely." I then snap my fingers in a eureka fashion. "How about this; you guys go back to where you're from, sit down and brainstorm some new ideas for dynamics, appearances, catchphrases, all that good stuff. When you're satisfied with the new you, we can redo this whole situation."
Muscle-brain #2 nodded every turn as he seemed to like my suggestions. "Yeah, I get what you're saying."
"You've enlightened us kid, thanks for that." The shortest one says to me. It's funny how he calls me a kid when I look older than him.
I nod at them. "All in a day's work."
The lanky one was also nodding in satisfaction before a look of realization befell him. "Yeah – wait a minute, are you just trying to get away from us!"
"...No..."
"Yeah you are, you jackass. You tried to distract us with small talk."
I smirk at them. "True…but I told no lies, though"
You almost had them, that is commendable; Charisma has gone up by 2!
I'm his good like that. I'm not sure if I can take these guys head on right now – especially if they have Aura – but escaping them is a whole other matter completely. I just need to make sure they can't follow me.
I gather mana in preparation to cast Ice Floor and–
"Stop." says a feminine voice out of nowhere.
And so I did. Not only because I was caught off guard by the sudden intrusion but also because of how authoritative the voice sounded – it has this edge that whispers 'defy me and you will die'.
I turn to the source of the voice and find a long black-haired woman, clad in red and black with the exception of the scary-ass white mask that covered the entirety of her face.

Observe [Active] Lv.5, Upgrade: Relationship Meter Unlocked
Holy shit! It's – wait, Relationship Meter?! That sounds like something out of a romance game – interesting…
Reputation System
Love is like leveling up, keep grinding and you'll get there. And guess what – the System works in a way that your relationships with people build way faster than normal. This gift is always present and will affect every aspect of your social life. You're welcome~
Reputation Points (RP)
A numerical representation of the target's opinion of you, ranging from -100 to +100 and existing in 5 factors. Let me break down these five factors and how they work:
Basic RP: This is general thought and respect someone has for you, without much of too much of a connection with you. This exists in everyone, whether you've interacted with them or not, and is the easiest to increase but it becomes obsolete when any of the other factors develop so you'll usually never see it go past 50.
Affection: This is a fondness a person feels for you, without any romantic attachment. Despite that, this factor is the one that usually leads to the love factor. Maxing out this factor makes the person view you as their most trusted and closest companion.
Love: Love is love – no explanation needed. Simple lovers usually range from 15 to 35 while married couples are 35 to 60. Maxing out this factor causes the person to you in an overzealous manner. Be careful, you might accidentally produce a Yandere.
Obedience: This factor is the target's willingness to comply to you and submit to your will. At max, the target will obey your orders to the most miniscule of details, even the orders you haven't even asked them of.
Desire: Finally we have lust, I know you've been waiting for this one. Unlike the others, Desire is extremely fluid and doesn't have a negative side. It increases and decreases based on the person's lust and satisfaction. If maxed, you either gonna get raped or have an amazing night.
Organizations and certain groups also have reputation points which can be increased to affect the people within them.
You can gain Reputation Points with people by completing quests or interacting with them in certain ways. You can lose Reputation Points by failing quests or doing something they are against. Phew, I think I've covered all the bases.
I am so going to abuse this! What was I doing again…? Oh yeah!
Raven Branwen; Leader of the Branwen Tribe
Level: ?
Disposition: Curiosity, Wary
RP: 0
Holy fucking shit! It's Raven Branwen! And that question mark of her level tells me she can probably one-shot me!
She's scary...and hot – weirdly, that combination turns me on.
"It's the boss lady…"
"What is she doing here…?"
So these guys are members of the Branwen Tribe...
Walking up to me slowly, the bandit leader says to her lackeys without turning to them. "You three, head back to the base." They start shuffling away but their speed doesn't satisfy their leader. "Now."
Almost instantly, the trio of dumbasses was out of sight...good riddance. Wait, no – now I'm alone with someone even worse! I don't think I can outrun Raven Branwen.
Speaking of which, Raven walks to me, leaning down to my face when she gets close as she is a bit taller than me – which is weird cause I remember myself being 6'2" and I don't think Raven Branwen's that taller than than...d-did I get shorter…!
"Uhhh...Hello–" I start nervously – due to those sharp red-eyes practically staring into my soul – but I'm cut off immediately.
"So you're the one." Raven says in a confirmative tone.
I blink in confusion. "...The one who did what?"
"The one who's been using magic, obviously."
Oh, that's right! Magic isn't a common thing to have here...even though people practically already kind of use magic (Semblances = Magic).
Anyways, she's the Spring Maiden so she probably sensed my magic or something. But, does Raven really know it's me because I don't want her to know that it's me. She killed the previous maiden so who knows what Miss One-Shot will do to me if she finds my powers interesting...
I wave her off and look away to hide my nervous expression. "Pfft, magic...You sound ridiculous right now, lady."
Raven crossed her arms. "Don't even try to lie. I sensed you use a spell the moment I arrived. Scrying I presume."
Damn you, my need to Observe everything!
I try to find some way to refute her but my mind is blank. I almost tell her that was my semblance but I don't think that's a very smart excuse for an aura-less dude like myself.
"Your silence is all the answer I need." Raven turns to walk the direction she came from. She then takes out her sword and with a slash, a red portal appears from thin air. "You're coming back with me, that's an order." She stops and looks back at me, red orbs glowing eerily through her mask. "I hope you're not foolish enough to try and disobey it."
She's right. As someone who values his life, I am not foolish.
I know I already decided that this is not a dream but now I'm praying this isn't one. You see, I've taken the time to check out the ins and outs of this gamer system and boy – the things that I found.
What mainly got my attention is the perks feature – which is exactly what it sounds like. So far I have three perks:
Emperors & Bandits (? Clan)
Have you ever heard that phrase, how far the mighty have fallen...yeah, that perfectly describes the ? clan. You see – before the world became a Remnant of what it used to be – the ? were a mighty imperial clan, known for producing talented combatants who were skilled in various ways (practically making them the Senju of Remnant), and at the height of their power they had more that 40% of the world under their rule. Unfortunately for them, all life got erased and when they reformed from dust, the ? clan was reduced to mere bandits. Pretty tragic really.
-Increased EXP gain to all combat-related skills
-Increased EXP gain to all stealth and thieving-related skills
-King's Charm: +2 Charisma per level
-Wait, That's Not How Heterochromia Works: You've inherited the ? signature red eyes but not in the usual way. Your eyes become a bright red when you feel extreme emotion...
-Increased Reputation with the Branwen Tribe
-Increased Reputation with all Thieves and Bandits
-Decreased Reputation with Remnant (if identity is discovered)
Snow White (? Family)
After many years of study, an old summoner finally achieves her dream of being the strongest person to bear the title of Wizard King. Titans in Human Form (Ackerman Blood)
It's a dream come true, isn't it! Without a doubt, if you awaken your power in this clan, you are a guaranteed badass. The Ackermans possesses supernatural capabilities and are able to pass down experience to their descendents to make them more badass. You were already awakened the moment you arrived so that's how you were able to do all that you did.
-Doubles all physical stats and +4 per level
-Greatly increased EXP gain to all combat-related skills
-Instinct: Provides natural combat capabilities and perfect body control.
-ABS!: +15 to Charisma
I'm not sure exactly what families or clans the first two speak of since their hidden but the last one is as clear as day...I got Ackerman blood in me now!
That alone made me beg for everything not to be a dream.
Another feature of the system are traits which are apparently things that can affect my self involuntarily, whether it be physically or mentally. Again, I only have three so far (was it a three for three deal or something?):
Gluttonous
You're a very hungry guy – and I'm not talking about food, well, not completely. Power, knowledge, women, et cetera. You want it all and you'll never be satisfied until you know there's nothing else to have. Believe it or not, this is the result of true inner self.
I can't say I'm surprised. I grew up with nothing so if I can have everything, I'll gladly take.
Bottoms Up; The Family Motto
Both your parents happen to be extreme alcoholics and guess what, you're carrying on the family trait. It's not a big deal though, Gamer's Mind won't let you get drunk unless you want to and Gamer's Body prevents any lasting effects.
I'm an alcoholic now...I mean, it doesn't affect me badly so I should be able to deal with it.
Clean Freak
It's a good thing I can't get dirty, but you can. And you hate it, like really hate it. At least you'll never have to worry about being hygienic now...oh, wait – you'll always be worrying about hygiene now. Eh, sucks to be you I guess.
This explains why I felt overly disgusted when I went down on the dirt against that beowolf earlier. It also explains why I impulsively asked for a fresh change of clothes when I arrived here despite my fear and nervousness around the red-eyed maiden...and I was surprised when she complied – in fact, I was more surprised to find out my affection points with her went up when I did.
Speaking of which – after putting on the clothes provided to me, I was told to come to the main tent in the middle of the Branwen Tribe's base. That's where I'm currently sitting silently as Raven Branwen analyzes me just as silently. It's been like this for a while – the only true interactions we've had so far was when I greeted her coming in and she nodded in acknowledgement.
Though I also have been analyzing her though probably in a...different way than she has been doing for me.
Damn she has an amazing body – from those thick thighs and meaty ass to her juicy...hmm, maybe D Cups. And that's not even the best part…
This woman is absolutely beautiful!
When I saw her for the first time without her mask I was taken aback – the show did her no justice in terms of appearance. Her facial features make for a stunning view with the age lines under her eyes being a surprisingly cute imperfection. And the odd contrasting features of a light complexion, red eyes and jet black hair make for a unique, exotic look.
With her toned, voluptuous body and appearance, I would describe Raven Branwen as a warrior milf...which she is technically …
Finally – after what seemed like forever – Raven finally says, "So...since when have you been able to use magic."
Today technically. Would it be smart to tell her that? "Umm...recently started, I guess."
"Do you know how you do it and where you got your powers?"
"...Nope, it just happens. I thought it might be my semblance or something." I think I'll keep the part about the system and gamer powers to myself.
Achievement Unlocked: Loose Lips Sink Ships!
Good job on not immediately telling someone else about me. Now I don't have to kill you, hooray!
Rewards: 10 Lien, +1 INT, +1 WIS, Keeping Your Life
Wait, what! What is it with threatening to kill me?
The bandit leader looks down and shakes her head, seemingly...disappointed. "How incompetent. It's common knowledge that a semblance can be used without Aura." She then looks back at me and the expression on her face confirms she is a bit disappointed. "And you obviously, don't have any. It's a wonder you made it as far as you did."
Is...Is she disappointed I haven't unlocked my Aura? Why should she care? "Well excuse me if no one's ever told me that."
"Is that so…" Raven gains this curious look. "Why were you at the outskirts of our base. Were you looking for someone?"
Well, I can't just say I magically appeared in the middle of a forest. She seems to be egging something on so I'll go with the flow. "Maybe." I say, looking away.
"Maybe, huh." The Branwen leans back and closes her eyes. "Do you know why I haven't killed you."
"...What?"
She opens them and then looks back at him. "A magic user like you is most likely to be somehow involved with one of two people and I dislike them both very much." She then repeats her question, more sharply this time. "So I'll ask again, do you know why I haven't killed you?"
I definitely know which couple she is talking about. "No, why?" I respond.
The black-haired woman gets up and starts pacing around a small area. "My semblance, Kindred Link, allows me to utilize the power of emotional connections of people...important to me. The most impressive feat I can accomplish with this power of mine is creating portals to those I'm connected to, but there are smaller things I can do like create an empathetic link that tells me my connections current feelings or simply just being aware of where they are in the world." She pauses for a moment to glance at me, probably to see if I'm paying attention. "I can also detect my connection connections (I chuckle but Raven's glare shuts me up quickly) with external factors...most effectively, their blood ties."
Raven halts her movement and then "So explain why your connection to my brother, Qrow, is as strong as it is."
Qrow Branwen, as in Drunkle Qrow? What does that alcoholic have to with...me...wait a minute. Alcoholic…both of my parents are alcoholics… … ...Ohhhh~
Congratulations on uncovering hidden parts of your heritage!
Emperors & Bandits (Branwen Clan Member)
Have you ever heard that phrase, how far the mighty have fallen...yeah, that perfectly describes the Branwen clan. You see – before the world became a Remnant of what it used to be – the Branwens were a mighty imperial family, known for producing talented combatants who were skilled in various forms (practically making them the Senju of Remnant), and at the height of their power they had more that 40% of the world under their rule. Unfortunately for them, all life got erased and when they reformed from dust, the Branwen clan was reduced to mere bandits. Pretty tragic really.
-Increased EXP gain to all combat-related skills
-King's Charm: +2 Charisma per level
-Wait, That's Not How Heterochromia Works: You've inherited the Branwen's signature red eyes but not in the usual way. Your eyes change to red when you feel extreme emotion...
-Increased Reputation with the Branwen Tribe
-Increased Reputation with all Thieves and Bandits
-Decreased Reputation with Remnant (if identity is discovered)
I sigh to myself. "Do I even have to explain…?" I say to my apparent aunt...I was checking out my aunt...huh, that bothers me less than I expected. Maybe because I don't see her as my real aunt or Qrow my real father, as I've had many of both back on Earth. Or could it be this Gluttonous trait affecting my mentality…?
"So, who's the mother?" She replies.
An alcoholic who's family is connected to summoning and something about Snow White. The lore made it a little bit hard at first but there's no doubt in my mind now…
Congratulations on uncovering hidden parts of your heritage!
Snow White (Schnee Family)
After many years of study, an old summoner finally achieves her dream of being the strongest person to bear the title of Wizard King. Her happiness was short-lived, however, as the world got nuked not too long after she got recognized. But little did she know her remains would leave a legacy in the form of a prosperous family who would inherit her power of summoning, the Schnee. Ironically, while the summoner was revered by the world, the Schnee are one of the most hated families around. Good luck with that!

-Curse of the Glacian: ?

-Greatly Decreased Reputation with Faunus (if identity is discovered)
"...Willow Schnee."
For the first time since I've met her, Raven loses her calm, composed exterior. "A Schnee! And Qrow!" She cries out in surprise. "Impossible, he detests that family!"
"It's only an assumption but I would be lying if I said it wasn't a large probability." I say with a shrug. Who knows, maybe Winter loves the bottle more than I know, but it's still a Schnee in the end.
She shakes her head. "I don't believe it. The probability should be extremely low at best."
"Listen, I was an orphan in Mantle who was constantly curious about his parents. I've done the research and the theory involving those two alcoholics and a sloppy one-night stand is the best I came up with. How do you think I found this place or I risked my life coming all the way here…" I bullshit, watching Raven take it all in. "This is the Branwen Tribe, I'm a Branwen. Home."
This silences Raven momentarily. Not all of what I've said is bullshit, I have these memories that can't belong to me because the age-line intersect with my true memories, so I assume they belong to this new body. Both memories of mine have similar backgrounds with me being abandoned and left as an Orphan in both but unlike on Earth, here in Remnant I was never taken in by anyone.
That's why I ran away to look for my family and ended up being led to the Branwen Tribe after finding a certain clue, pure luck being my companion (too bad that didn't transfer to the stats).
Raven finally responds with, "It must have been hard finding this place. Not trying to get in touch with the Schnee's I can understand but wouldn't it have been better to go after Qrow."
"I've never needed him or the Schnee before and I won't need them now. My goal can be best accomplished here."
She blinks. "Your goal?"
"I want power." I say with so much emotion, it even surprises me. "I want to be strong and forever lose my current self who's nothing but a useless orphan...well, not an orphan anymore – but that's besides the point. I want the strength that ensures that I can do whatever I want, whenever I want – without fearing consequences."
That...that came out of nowhere...but it's not a lie. And it felt good to let that all out. Is this what I have repressing deep down inside.
You've unlocked Affection with Raven Branwen
Raven likes your resolve; Raven's Affection has gone up by 15!
Raven's Affection with you is at 20!
I look up at Raven and find a grin on her face that makes me blush a little. "You came to the right place then, you'll be a monster in no time. I'll personally train you myself – call it...a family obligation."
How ironic. She's talking about family obligation when she's got a daughter who's probably looking for her as we speak.
"Oh, I just realized I don't know my dear nephew's name. Mind enlightening me?"
Name? Now that I think about, I can't remember what my name was on Earth...or anyone else's names, nor their faces. Is this because I said I want to leave my old self behind. If that's the case then I'll just follow through with what has been granted to me...
"Nero…" I start slowly before smirking at the bandit leader. "Nero Branwen."
Today certainly has been an interesting day.
As Raven layed back to rest for the night, she could not help but think about what transpired today...or rather, the person who made this day so fascinating…
Nero Branwen, the son of Qrow Branwen and...a Schnee – still getting used to that being a possibility.
To think there was someone aside from her and her fellow maidens, Qrow to an extent, Ozpin and Salem who could utilize the power of magic. When she sensed magic near the borders of her camp, she prepared herself for the worst-case possibility but she would have never expected to find a teenage boy as the source...nor expect that same boy to be related to her. Today was just full of surprises.
How does he possess magic? He can't be a maiden as being female is one of the prerequisite conditions for bearing the power. Could it be the result of that inkling that Qrow possesses…or could it be something else completely?
Well, there's no point in thinking it over now, all that matters is she has been gifted with further means of driving the witch as far back as possible.
Not only does Nero possess magic, but he also has that drive – the drive for power that she lacked. There's no doubt things will turn out differently with Nero.
He has already shown her some interesting abilities earlier – for example, the power to manipulate ice without the need of dust and the pocket dimension he placed his weapon in – and has said he's slightly experienced in combat...though he looked nervous when he said that.
Training under Raven will bring him up leaps and bounds from where he currently is – after all, who better to train a magic user than another magic user…
Hopefully, he ogles less during combat training – he's not as subtle as he thinks he is. Having not seen Qrow (who was the last male of her clan...previously) in a while, Raven forgot how lustful Branwen men are. Their father had a harem after all and if Qrow wasn't cursed by his semblance, he probably would have one too – considering how much he sleeps around.
So it's not surprising Nero's the way he is. Not to mention, the boy's a teenager on top of all that.
Luckily for him, if all goes well, he'll take over the tribe when Raven steps down. And by that time, he'll have the power to be as unstoppable as he desires to be and will be able to take whatever he wants, whenever he wants. She'll make sure of it.
Who knows, he might just end up being the key to stopping Salem for good.
That's the end of my first chapter!
As you can see, my MC is very blessed bloodline-wise. In terms of build, he is heavily inspired by Fushiguro and Sung Jin-Woo. He's going to be a Summoner who can also hold his own no problem.
I'm planning on doing a large amount of World-Building on my version of Remnant. This is all going to be heavily inspired by Attack on Titan and MHA, especially when it comes to hunters. If you have ideas and suggestions, feel free to share.
Don't forget to follow, fav and review. Ace out!
